Conservatives need to use the Second Amendment to revolt against a tyrannical government.

Conservatives are always going on and on about how we need a right to bear arms in case we have to revolt against a tyrannical government. Well, I think it's time we finally put that to the test. We might have to actually use the Second Amendment here and make sure this government works for us and take back the government for the people.

The left is telling people they have a right under the Second Amendment to get guns and kill.

Get your guns. You have a right under the Second Amendment to get guns and you know, do what. The Second Amendment isn't you have a right to just randomly say you can go kill somebody. But notice the left suddenly loves the Second Amendment because they're saying it's a communist green light to do whatever they want.

The judge's ruling affirms the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for citizens.

She thinks she's giving special rights to these people, but she's just undermined themselves, and she's now quoting the Second Amendment, that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. She's saying, you're a citizen, you can vote, you get welfare, they're as good as the citizens. So she uses a Supreme Court ruling to say you can have guns, because the people are the citizens.

The United States is one of the only countries where citizens have a constitutionally protected right to defend themselves against foreign and domestic enemies.

But back to the analogy, we as the American people are one of the only countries on the planet that have a constitutionally protected right to defend ourselves from... Anything. Enemies foreign and domestic.

An armed populace may be necessary to fight off United Nations forces during an economic collapse.

You'd agree with me that your view is that an armed populace may be necessary to fight them off, correct? Yes. If we get invaded during an economic collapse by United Nations forces, they're confiscating our guns and putting us in the camps. Then people do have a right and a duty to protect themselves and their family, and that's what the Second Amendment is enshrined for.

There is no right to carry arms openly in public under the Second Amendment.

Also, this Ninth Court ruling, it has said... If I recall correctly, let me pull up the exact wording of it. Quote, there is no right to carry arms openly in public, nor is any such right within the scope of the Second Amendment. Yeah. That's what the U.S. Court Judge Jay Bybee said.

The Ninth Circuit Court ruling states there is no right to carry arms openly in public under the Second Amendment.

Alex Jones claims that a federal law passed 13 years ago overturned the Second Amendment.

But did you know buried in the federal law was an overturning of the Second Amendment that passed 13 years ago? Yeah, the story just went live on newswars.com and infowars.com. You might want to raise the alarm. So, these guys, the tip of the spear, didn't know for 13 years that the Second Amendment has been abolished. They just live under Cinderella rules of law. Aha, it's midnight, so it doesn't count. Like, what are you talking about? Yeah, the Second Amendment's gone for 13 years, apparently.

The Second Amendment has not been abolished and the claim of its overturning is a weak argument.

So, this is just about a 2007 release from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council under George W. Bush, which didn't include gun dealers as essential businesses that should be kept open in emergency situations. I guess it must suck if you're a gun weirdo for gun stores to possibly not be open, but I don't think that counts as the Second Amendment being shut down. I don't think the Second Amendment requires that you be able to conveniently buy a gun at every moment of every day, no matter what. This just seems like an incredibly weak argument, but it's good for Alex because it helps him pivot the coronavirus situation back into familiar waters.

Ted Nugent believes the Second Amendment is the 'teeth' of freedom.

I've saluted too many flag-draped coffins and taken too many heroes of the military that have sacrificed their legs and their arms and their eyeballs and their skin fighting, not just for freedom, not just for the American way and the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, But, Alex, they all reference the Second Amendment because the Second Amendment is the teeth.

Before the 2008 Supreme Court decision, the Second Amendment was understood as protecting the right of states to maintain militias rather than an individual right to carry guns.

The argument that he's making is that until 2008, there was not really an understanding that... Yeah. The Second Amendment wasn't about a well-ordered militia, and it was about your right to carry guns to everybody. Before that, the... And by the way, that was a 5-4 decision with a very contentious... The contentious Supreme Court that stole an election? Who would have guessed that they would pull this bullshit? Yeah, it was not like a, oh yeah, across the board, the Supreme Court, everyone agrees. And before that, the Second Amendment was more or less understood. The historical context is being that the states had a right to keep a militia in case one of the other states attacked them or the federal government attacked them.
