Bob Chapman's newsletter is financially entwined with Midas Resources.

So Bob Chapman is already financially entwined with Midas Resources as far back as 2004. Yeah. Which is a little bit earlier than I would have put it because I don't see Bob coming on once a week at this period like he does in like the 2008, 2009 timeframe. But even a little bit after that.

Listeners would connect Alex Jones's advice to buy gold with the Midas Resources commercials aired on the stream.

So, like, if you are Alex and you're talking about how everybody should be in gold and you have people who are listening to the show, they will hear the commercials for Genesis Communications and put two and two together. It's as good as a commercial for Midas at the end of this.

Ted Anderson's Midas Resources is a fraudulent operation that misappropriated customer funds and misrepresented sales terms.

Yeah, we mentioned it earlier, and we talked about it on the show before, but it's worth reminding anyone who hasn't listened to our back catalog that Ted Anderson, the guy who syndicates Alex's show and is one of his biggest sponsors through Bidas Resources, is no longer legally allowed to sell precious metals. About two years after this episode came out, Ted got in trouble with the state of Minnesota, and they revoked his license because he, quote, misappropriated customers' money and misrepresented terms of sale to them. The state found that Midas Resources, quote, routinely failed without prior agreement to deliver Bouillon coins to its customers within 30 days of payment and otherwise misrepresented to customers the terms of sale. He was kicked out of the precious metals business and had to pay back hundreds of thousands of dollars to customers in restitution. Ted Anderson is running a shady as shit gold company.

Alex Jones misrepresents his relationship with Midas Resources by calling them a sponsor rather than acknowledging they own the syndication network.

The other thing, too, is that this, I think, is an FTC violation because he's presenting Blindest Resources as a sponsor as opposed to the parent company of Infowars. That's right. They own it entirely. Well, not own it entirely, but they own the company that syndicates him. And so their relationship is very different than just being a sponsor of the show. They are responsible for syndication and for it being on radio stations around the country, which is not ownership, but it's beyond sponsorship. And the nature of the ads, a lot of Alex Jones' ads are Genesis Communications Network ads that are run through the network, which is owned by Midas Resources. So therefore, Midas Resources owns the ads that are paying Alex Jones revenue. It's very complicated, and the fact that he says that their sponsors is fucked up, and then it's fucked up because we know, we've seen just how desperately he tries to sell gold.

Midas Resources scams elderly people by paying them small amounts to read financial reports.

So, one of the things that I find really fun about that commercial and what's illustrative there is they're scamming old people. Yeah. Basically. Because it's like, we'll pay you to read our shit. Yeah. By giving you a half dollar. Yeah. 50 cents. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That is kind of in the same vein as the 10 CDs for a penny kind of operations and stuff like that. It seems good, but is a scam.

Midas Resources is owned by Mr. Anderson, who also owns Genesis Communications Network (GCN), creating a conflict of interest with Alex Jones.

That was Midas Resources, which is a company owned by a guy named Mr. Anderson, who is also the guy who owns GCN. A former police officer and military commander who is also a good Christian. Also in The Matrix. This is when The Matrix came out, right? It was 1999 or was it 98? Might have been 2000. I swear it was in the 90s. Could be. Yeah. Alright. Unimportant. Anyway, this guy owns... At this point, literally anything is more important. This guy owns GCN, the Genesis Communications Network, which broadcasts Alex Jones' show, and he also owns Midas Resources, which is the people who sell gold.

Midas Resources sells health products vouched for by Dr. Wallach, a veterinarian.

And also, I mentioned this on the last episode, and I think it's important to bring back up. Midas Resources is the company that now sells the weird health products. Yes. You can go to their website. It's midasresources.com. The health products that turn you to gold! And are created and supported and vouched for by a veterinarian. By Dr. Wallach.
