Red light therapy and macular support supplements eliminated the need for reading glasses.

Then I started using red light therapy. And I think that the first thing I started doing is taking this company, Pure Encapsulation, has this it's called macular support. It's like a combination of nutrients that help your eyeballs. I don't know how. But I explained it to Huberman, he read it off to me, and he's like, this makes sense. But then the big one was red light. I started using red light therapy. I don't need glasses anymore.

Red light therapy improves eyesight by acting on mitochondria systemically rather than just locally in the eye.

Whenever you think of red light, you want to think of your mitochondria because the main thing that we know about red, near-infrared, and far-infrared that they're doing is they're actually going straight into the mitochondrial engines that produce the energy and helping them produce more. And they're also ordering the water structure inside the mitochondria to make those engines produce energy more easily. And there was a study a few months ago that it was just like a one-day study, but it showed that blasting people in the chest with red light improved their eyesight when it was measured the next day. And they covered their eyes to make sure that the red light didn't go into the eye. And so the conclusion is, it's not a clinical study, right? And it's not like a one-year, how does it, you know, does it really improve your eyesight over one year? We don't know. But it shows proof of principle that red light is doing something systemically that does not have to go to your eye that does improve your vision.

Red light therapy and certain vitamins like lutein have had a big impact on vision.

Huh yeah, red light therapy and certain vitamins like lutein. There's a few different. There's a company called PURE Encapsulations. They make a formulation called macular support and I I take that stuff, but those two things for sure have had a big impact.

Red light therapy and specific supplements helped stop the progression of age-related macular degeneration and improved eyesight.

I think I'm going to add a bunch of stuff back in, particularly niacin and then a bunch of other stuff that I was taking that really seems to have worked in terms of stopping macular degeneration, age-related macular degeneration. I think that and the red light therapy has worked. I don't use reading glasses anymore when I read my virtual money. Oh, hell yeah, man. That's nuts. And GHK and BPC and stem cells and all of these things have benefits in every one of those aspects. There was that study out of Europe. I think we covered it last time for degenerative eyesight loss and using red light therapy. Yeah, my eyesight is still not the best. Like if I put a pair of readers on, I can see better, but I have no problem reading. It's just like a little fuzzy, but not to the point where I can't read things anymore. But it was getting worse. It was getting significantly worse. Like every six to eight months, I would notice a decline. Like, fuck, man, I can't see shit anymore. And then I started wearing reading glasses. I've stopped that. So it's not just stopped in its tracks, but my eyesight has gotten better, which is, nobody thinks that's possible.
