Alex Jones is not taking calls to maximize time for creating clickbait clips for Twitter.

He's not going to take calls because he needs to spend more time on the show covering subjects that his staff can then cut into clips that they can use as clickbait on Twitter. That's moving the needle as much as he sees big... this is a smart thing for him to maximize. He has more fun and would rather take calls, maybe, but the way he believes he can make the most money is to make clickbait bullshit that flies around on Twitter.

Owen Benjamin's return to the show is unearned and likely a strategic move by Alex Jones to appeal to Owen's specific fanbase.

Owen Benjamin makes no sense. This is unearned in terms of him coming back around. There's no reason Alex would want to have him back unless he has a feeling that Owen has some fans that he would want to try and appeal to. And if Alex knows what Owen's fans are into, then he's trying to specifically recruit folks who are... So, this isn't good.

Alex Jones allows guests to speak at length primarily to extract soundbites for future promotional use.

I think that it's equally possible that Alex thinks that this is a guest who has a reasonable amount of credibility, given that they're a publicly elected official. True. And that, like, if I can get a great soundbite of them saying, like, this means war or something like that, that let them talk, because we might be able to use something to make a compilation or something. I think that Alex would be far more interested in giving wide latitude to someone like him.

Alex Jones needs David Knight to provide low-stakes, positive content for his show.

And he needs David Knight. He needs a saw, like, a puff piece. When he's telling David Knight to play a video or do red meat political stuff, this is his version of that. This is Alex's, like, do something that's taking it easy. Have David Knight in. Everyone's thrilled to see him. You guys could just have a jovial conversation about how he's great and works a lot. Who gives a shit? It's low stakes.
