You can tell that he's way more interested in the outcome of the game than he is in the outcome of his bit.

Then Alex has to engage with that to some extent. He can't just scream over you. He can't gaslight you directly while scolding you for daring to ask him those questions. Yeah. In this power imbalance, he just gets to yell at you and say you're stupid.

He gets to pretend you're talking about something else, and then as soon as you're gone, he can go back to... You're not listening to me. You're not listening to me. You are not... I didn't say that there was nobody on board until we hang up, and then I'm going to suggest it again.

But I think the greater point is that Alex is being really condescending and insulting to his guest. And this caller calls in and is condescending and insulting to Alex's show.

I really think Alex started drinking during the commercial breaks when Roger was on because he knew the drudge was linked to him. He was drinking out of a drudge mug. He had a drudge mug on camera.

I should also tell you, I'm pretty sure he's drunk. I'm pretty sure he's drinking.

I think Alex is either drunk or in the middle of a manic episode or both. And I'm leaning towards both.
