Once Congress authorizes war, it is up to the president to execute and wage the war.

Once you declare war, once Congress authorizes it, it's up to the president to execute the war, to wage the war. And Congress, at that point, does need to take their hands off.

The oath requirement in the Constitution was put there by the founders to ensure everyone knows their responsibility to say no to unlawful orders.

It comes from Article 3 of the Constitution, or Article 6, I mean, of the Constitution itself. The oath requirement was put there by the founders for a reason. They were concerned that anywhere in the chain of command, from the president down to your local dog catcher, they wanted to make sure that everyone knew their responsibility to say no.

The President has the constitutional authority to deploy the regular army and Marines domestically.

Now, I already did a whole hour on this last week, but we've had lawyers on to agree with me. It's a fact that, and you look at what Eisenhower did and other presidents, he could call out the regular army. He could call the Marines out. They have before. But no, it's just going to be the feds and a lot of jurisdictions that are going to help them. It's a federal duty. It's constitutional. One of the three main duties of the federal government. It's in the damn Constitution. Go look it up.

The U.S. Constitution does not bar convicted felons from running for federal office.

You can run for any federal office, even if you're a felon. And as Fact Check even points out, quote, In 1798, Representative Matthew Lyon ran for Congress from prison and won. He assumed his seat in Congress after serving four months in prison. It's different for state-level offices depending on the state, but that doesn't have to do with the Constitution, and Alex is talking about members of the U.S. Congress, so it's all federal-level shit.

It is impossible to recall a federal official like Senator McCain without first passing a constitutional amendment.

On a sincere note, according to the Constitution, you cannot recall people elected to federal positions. It would be impossible for the people of Arizona to recall McCain without first getting an amendment passed that would completely overhaul election rules on a national level.

The Constitution allows the Vice President to reject electoral votes if fraud is present.

The Constitution doesn't allow me to send them back to the states. Well, I say, yes, it does, because the Constitution says you have to protect our country and you have to protect our Constitution and you can't vote on fraud. And fraud breaks up everything, doesn't it?

The U.S. Constitution does not prohibit a presidential and vice-presidential candidate from being from the same state.

So what's interesting here is that the phenomenon that Alex and Ivan are discussing is kind of real, but they have literally no idea what they're talking about. They think the Constitution doesn't allow people from the same state to run on the same ticket, which is absolutely not true.
