By the way, an estimated 72% of those were gang-related. Gang members killing each other.
And when you see a robot, because that's what this guy was like, and it's an incredible, if you had to profile a subset of people that keep doing these things, even though mass shootings are flat in the last 20 years, about the same every year, this year's actually been worse than the last decade or so statistically. But overall, it's flat. You can pull those numbers up.
20-plus percent crime drop in the last nine years. Real violent crime because more guns means less crime.
One of the interesting things that you can dig up is the FBI did a study, and they found that there were 160 incidents of active... Gun mass shootings from 2000 to 2013. That's defined as one or more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area. Similarly, a study found that there were 1,052 incidents from 2013 to December 2, 2015, where at least four people were shot, but not necessarily killed. If Alex wants to try and make the argument that mass shootings are down and that gun violence isn't a real issue, the numbers really don't support that.
I know the statistics. It's like the 14th or 15th, depending on the year, cause of death. Drowning's higher. Car wrecks are higher.
