The FBI has engaged in harassment of civil rights leaders and surveillance of groups like Black Lives Matter and Standing Rock.

Yes, this has been an interesting thing, specifically with the FBI being like, okay, well, at one point, you know, we... We've harassed civil rights leaders and created, you know, COINTELPRO and tried to make absolutely certain... What's murdering Fred Hampton between friends? Come on, we've all been there. Yeah, I mean, you know, right up to the surveillance of Black Lives Matter demonstrators and people at Standing Rock.

Alex Jones falsely claims that the FBI was closely monitoring the shooter Gendron.

The way Alex reports stories is that if he sees any mention of the FBI or CIA in anything, then his work is done. If he can point to them popping up anywhere, he can bluff to the audience that he has some access to other intel that shows that the FBI was closely monitoring Gendron, the shooter, but that's bullshit.

Wearing camouflage to a protest results in an FBI threat tag and profile.

If you wear camouflage to a rally from now on, you get what's called an FBI threat tag. Okay? That hasn't always been the case. Think about this. We survived the Tea Party. We survived the Gifford shooting. We survived all of those controversies. Where still you could wear militia gear and not automatically get tagged. Now, because of January 6th and what they did to our beautiful, peaceful protest, if you wear camouflage at any protest across this country and the FBI can identify you, you get what's called an FBI threat tag associated with you. And you get... An FBI profile created for you.

The FBI learned of a protest from a video on InfoWars and used it to justify monitoring Rakim Balogun.

And if you read the article here on The Guardian, it says, quote, Investigators began monitoring Belogan, whose legal name is Christopher Daniels, after he participated in an Austin, Texas rally in March 2015 protesting against law enforcement, Special Agent Aaron Niley said in court. The FBI, Nylee said, learned of the protest from a video on InfoWars, a far-right site run by a commentator, Alex Jones, known for spreading false news and conspiracy theories.
