According to the CDC's numbers, the states with the three highest death rates from homicide in 2019 were Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. All three of these states have active death penalties.

In 2017, there were 1,932 women who were the victims of homicide. Of them, 1,733 were killed by men. That's 90% approximately.
