Well, at the time, I presented the evidence of the connection between aluminum and other metals with Alzheimer's disease. And even then, scientific progress in this area was advancing very rapidly. It was well known by people who were studying it, but the medical establishment scoffed and ignored it. So I set up the Alzheimer's Research Institute and I actually conducted several epidemiological studies on the disease. At that time, Alzheimer's was the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. Now it's the seventh. It's still one of the most feared diseases because when you lose your memory, just as I was talking about identity before, when you lose your memory and no longer recognize your loved ones, you essentially lose your soul. Here's the bottom line, Alex. Recent research has not only supported my original hypothesis about the dangers of neurotoxic aluminum, but progress in this field is now moving very rapidly. I also talked about things no one had ever heard of in 87, which is the foods, the vitamins, the antioxidants were unheard of then in this book that could ameliorate and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. And I was laughed at saying, oh, come on, vitamins, nutrients have nothing to do with brain health. Bull crap. That's all we got is this little mass of stuff in this big bone in our head to take care of our whole life because this bone in our head protects the supercomputer called our brain. And if we're putting garbage into our brain that is neurotoxic, like heavy metals and even lighter metals like aluminum, what we're doing is setting the stage for forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.
