Biden had a conflict of interest here, and he'd already promised not to pardon his son. If you want to pretend to stand for principles and shit, you can't do stuff like that.

But he knows that he doesn't have to go to jail as Trump is in office. As long as Trump is in office, he is a free man. He will get a pardon if anything goes wrong.
