You know, the states now are going to play a very large role in terms of implementing the Trump agenda.
And I keep saying that this is an opportunity that maybe comes along once in 100 years where you can have a transformational presidency and fundamentally rework and end the bureaucratic red tape and eliminate
waste, fraud, abuse, corruption, and secure our borders and come up with sound national security policies and get this country in a position of energy dominance and start balancing budgets and getting our fiscal house in order.
but it's going to take all hands on deck, and that means on the state level.
It was interesting, before we get to the Attorney General of Florida, my home state, the free state of Florida, Stephen Miller gave a really good civics lesson to the corrupt state-run media mob in D.C. in the White House briefing room yesterday.
Listen.
It is true that many of the people in this room for four years failed to cover the fact that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and was not running the country.
It is also true that many people in this room who have used this talking point that Elon is not elected fail to understand how government works.
So I'm glad for the opportunity for a brief civics lesson.
The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected president.
That president then appoints staff to then impose that democratic will onto the government.
The threat to democracy, indeed the existential threat to democracy, is the unelected bureaucracy of lifetime tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one.
What President Trump is doing is he is removing federal bureaucrats who are defying democracy by failing to implement his lawful orders, which are the will of the whole American people.
Now, this is where uh the attorney attorneys generals, if you will, of around the country, they can play a very big role.
I mean, if you're the attorney general in California or New York and New York, for example, gives legal drivers licenses to illegal immigrants, well, you're kind of aiding and abetting in their law breaking and codifying the uh a status that that they don't legally have.
And or sanctuary city or state like California or or people pledging around the country and law enforcement officials and and liberal politicians, you know, pledging not to support the president and the president's executive actions and executive orders.
Now, here in Florida, for example, we have a new attorney general, Ashley Moody, who's now Senator Moody.
Um her replacement is Attorney General James Uthmeyer, and he's he has a lot of efforts and actions he's taking against those that are breaking the law, uh, in part to enforce the laws of the land and help the president, uh, which is in accordance with our constitution.
What they're doing in Florida, where my state, which is why I choose to live here, and I choose to live here.
Uh, best choice I made is if uh this is among many reasons.
Anyway, James Uthmeyer joins us now, the Attorney General of Florida Florida.
By the way, congratulations first, number one, and number two.
Uh, I'm very interested in in your constitutional using your constitutional authority to do this.
Tell me what you're up to.
Yeah, Sean, thank you.
It's uh it's great to be here uh on the show.
I've enjoyed working with you in the past and and I'm excited uh to visit going forward.
Uh this is my first week on the job, but we've gotten out of the gate quickly.
Uh we we filed uh a brief in the Supreme Court to defend President Trump's ability uh to fire inferior officers in the executive branch.
Um it's hard to believe we're even having that debate.
Uh the Constitution vests all executive power in the president, not just some of it.
And you can't be a good boss in in any industry if you can't move on from employees that don't want to do their job and that don't align with your mission.
So we did that, and then just uh just yesterday we sued Target on behalf of our pension investment fund for the state.
You know, investors lost billions when it came to Target's radical ideological efforts to to try to sexualize children with you know trans clothing lines and things.
Businesses have free speech, sure, but when you are a publicly traded company, you have a duty to your shareholders, and Target violated that duty, and and I've got you know, I've got a job to do down here to protect the the retirement pensions for our teachers and first responders.
So we're having some fun.
Well, I mean, these are all important issues now.
On the surface, you would think, okay, well, Target might have all the freedom in the world, but if you are a public tra publicly traded company, uh you do have a fiduciary responsibility to your shareholders uh to make good decisions.
And if you're gonna adopt politically polarizing issues such as the ones that you're describing here, um it's a pretty predictable outcome that it's gonna impact the bottom line, isn't it?
That's right.
Yeah.
There are you know specific obligations under the Securities and Exchange Act, and you know, they made decisions failing to disclose known risks uh of customer backlash.
And I mean they saw that front and center.
So I mean, we're we're gonna be aggressive here.
I know you've got kids, Sean.
I've got three little ones.
You know, I I don't want them growing up in a world where you know they're looking at trans clothing when they walk into a department store, and when states invest in stocks and and expect businesses to have returns, they need to be focusing on the business of doing business and and staying out of some of these radical political fights.
Are you suggesting and and is it did you believe that it's it as time goes on, we're gonna know that they knew by adopting these policies that there would be a backlash and they did it anyway without a consideration or um you know some type of of clarity given to their shareholders first.
Yeah, you know, the facts or transparency would be a better word.
The the case, you know, that that we are bringing um alleges, you know, Target actively misled voters by claiming to monitor the social and political risks posed by you know DEI and ESG initiatives, but in reality it seems Target was only monitoring alignment with left-wing activist groups.
So we're you know, we're at the beginning of this litigation, but I I think we're gonna see the facts bear out where you know they they weren't doing this for business reasons, weren't doing this to maximize shareholder value.
Uh they were doing it for some other political effort.
Yeah.
Uh it's pretty unbelievable.
Now, uh I guess the the most pressing issue.
I think this is what what Governor DeSantis did and what Governor Abbott did, probably the greatest political jujitsu moves of all time.
And that was okay, well, you're a sanctuary city and you're a sanctuary state.
Fine.
We'll we'll transport the Harris Biden illegals up to your state, considering you're the ones that are inviting them into our country, and we're not gonna burden our taxpayers with, you know, fo feeding people, housing people, you know, putting a burden on our educational system and our criminal justice system uh and a you know a b a burden on every taxpayer in a individual state.
And it was funny in particular when Governor DeSantis sent uh a plane load of people was it to Martha's Vineyard.
Uh it's interesting that the very people that adopt and embrace and push for sanctuary status couldn't get the people when they arrived off that island fast enough.
They weren't even there twenty-four hours.
That's right.
Yeah, they certainly like deportation when it was using the National Guard uh to get these immigrants off their island.
Uh, you know, they had signs all over saying we welcome you, every which color, whoever you are, and you know, the minute they had fifty people they they freaked out and and wanted to get them out right away.
Um, you know, you can just imagine if they actually had to deal with the environment that that Texas is experiencing at the southern border.
Um so yeah, we we definitely expose the hypocrisy there.
Um we are actively working uh to help the federal government here in Florida.
We've appropriated hundreds of millions of dollars towards uh getting our local law enforcement and our state law enforcement uh to help ICE and homeland security however possible uh to carry out the president's mission.
And we've seen, you know, how much our state is taxed by uh these illegal immigrants coming in when it comes to the roadways and health care and education.
Um so I think it's a worthwhile investment.
It keeps us safe and it ensures that you know we do have sovereignty as a country.
So uh Pam Bondi, who once held your position, she was the elected attorney general in this state of Florida now uh twice.
Now she's the attorney general of the United States, has specifically filed lawsuits against Illinois and New York for you know, allow for aiding and abetting illegal immigrants and and helping them stay,
either creating obstacles for ICE to find people, number one, or providing them legal identification and then protecting them and preventing law enforcement from working with ICE, which does have jurisdiction, uh, and deporting people that are in the country illegally, including criminals in many instances.
Uh, we do have a supremacy clause to the Constitution.
Wouldn't that supersede any state law or uh uh policy?
Yeah, Sean, you know, for years now, states like Florida, you know, we've been trying hard to fight back against the the Biden and Obama administrations to defend our state and and engage in in immigration enforcement.
And and courts time and again, including the United States Supreme Court have come down recognizing, you know, this largely exclusive uh federal authority.
Um so I I would hope now the courts wouldn't do this about face and suddenly start to allow blue states to get in the way and make things difficult for the federal government to actually enforce law that's on the books.
Um so you're right.
This is largely a federal prerogative, and you've got a president and a federal government that see this opportunity for uh a once-in-a-lifetime uh leadership oppos, you know, opportunity to to actually go and get the job done and save our country.
And I hope that you know the the attorney general will be successful in slapping back these these blue states.
All right, quick break, right back, uh, and then we'll hit the phones.
800 941 Sean Moore with the attorney general of my great state of Florida, uh James Uthmeyer is with us, and uh then your call's coming up straight ahead this Friday.

We continue with The Attorney General, great state of Florida, my home free state of Florida, uh James Uthmeyer is with us and all the actions that he is taking to support the rule of law, the Constitution, and enforce the laws of of the administration, among other things.
Based on the rapid pace of the President executive orders actions, etcetera, what are other areas as attorney general are that you're going to be looking at that you think that that you can offer the support on the ground, in other words, to help enforce the laws of the land in accordance with the Constitution.
Sure.
Well, you know, we're we're gonna be looking at at companies like this target case that uh are are not taking their shareholders and the shareholder values seriously.
Uh we're gonna be working to boost law enforcement throughout the state to ensure that that people that are are harming our children, harming our way of life, uh are held accountable.
Uh, we're gonna be making sure that local governments don't make it difficult for businesses to come back to the U.S. as as the president rightly uh implements tariffs and and pushes an America first agenda.
We want to be open for business.
Uh we have been in Florida over the last six years, as you well know.
Uh the state's doing better than ever.
We're the number one state for new business formations, and as manufacturing and other offshoring entities want to come.
Also the number one state for education for public education, which is amazing considering the state doesn't have an income tax.
That's right.
And we under the governor's leadership, we were able to execute, you know, a fully funded universal school choice policy that I think is going to be a roadmap for the rest of the country.
So if you if you can empower your youth through education and give them a safe upbringing, um, we believe they'll be best prepared to you know provide for families of their own and and be good citizens.
Yeah, I uh I can't uh I can't agree with you more.
Um congratulations.
Um I know you've worked with Governor DeSantis very closely for years, which is how I first got to know you, and I can't think of a better choice, and I'm I'm extremely happy that you're in your position.
We've known Ashley Moody now for a long time as well, very happy with that selection.
Also, I think she's gonna be a great great senator, and it's great to have Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, uh, former Attorney General Pam Bonnie.
It's like you know, raid raid the best of Florida.
Uh and uh bring him to bring him to Washington.
But um it's pretty funny actually.
Well, we we got a good Which is good, which is good for you.
I mean, it worked out great for you.
Yeah, I got big shoes to fill, but I'm uh I'm not gonna rest on my laurels.
I'm gonna work hard, deliver results, and you know, pursue what's right and just so um hold hold me to that, Sean.
Uh I don't think I'm gonna need to hold you to anything.
I I'm very confident in in your ability to uh get this job done and do a great job.
Uh James Uthmeyer, we really appreciate it.
800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Um we really do need the states, and the states are gonna be critical.
And what state you choose to live in is gonna matter now moving forward in your life, because you you can see the resistance, you know, building in states like California, New York in particular, you know, to fight everything that Donald Trump's doing.
Okay, to the detriment, though of the citizens in these states.
But that that's gonna be up to them on them, and when there are instances where the federal government absolutely, like Tom Homan has been saying, has jurisdiction over the state, they're gonna do their job regardless.
And if people if they if they want to work and aid in a bet people that have been breaking the law, they they then will be the next to be held accountable.
Imagine if I did it.
I'd be held accountable.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hammond.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sas, you're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.
Um Dave is in Kentucky.
Dave, hey, how are you?
Glad you called.
I see you're losing your senior senator, Mitch McConnell.
Any thoughts on that?
Yeah, well, what's the loss?
Not much, but I agree with you.
So, hey, first off, I gotta ask you today, how's your sense of humor?
My sense of humor is fine.
Go for it.
Well, well, well, you were that but that's your way of saying, Anity, I want to take a shot at you.
Let me is it okay?
And I'm like, no problem.
Anybody can take any shot any time they want.
You're free.
Well go for it.
The way you were getting picked on yesterday about your pens, I just wanted to give you the nickname Lavender Larry.
We'll revise him.
Lavender Larry, why why that name?
Oh, because of the color of the pen, I got it.
Now I remember.
Yeah, Linda wants to get me lavender pens.
The reason I was calling, and I have to say I I really enjoyed your interview the other night with uh Elon Musk and the president.
Thank you.
I I have to tell you this, and I I like to pride myself on my ability to read people.
And I was extremely impressed with not always what Elon Musk had to say, although I didn't disagree with him.
But he just seems like such a uh a gentle, sincere man, and for someone who everybody talks about his high IQ, I never once heard him in that interview talk down on anyone.
No.
It's it's he's not like that.
He really is not like that.
I I saw that he got into a little bit of a an ex you know battle with somebody that said because of the and he said in the interview that it was a political decision, and he said basically he said basically the guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about, that he did offer to Biden and Harris SpaceX to go return these astronauts sooner.
And that in fact they said no.
Well, why w why would they say no to such an offer, considering he's successfully through SpaceX was able to dock and and already connect with the space station a number of times successfully.
Why why would you leave these people lost in space and never talk about them?
Well, I don't think anybody has the answer to that, even sleepy Joe.
He probably don't remember.
Yeah, I mean it makes no sense at all whatsoever, does it?
Well, no.
It's a but you also talk about martial arts, and uh one of the things, you know, kind of off subject is I really think that Elon brings such a great balance to President Trump.
I mean, like I just I don't know whether it was the assassination attempts or whatever, but President Trump just seems so much more down to earth this time around, and I didn't know if it's that Elon is balancing him out.
You know, or you take somebody who's really fairly quiet compared to when our president can you know, he don't take no garbage, so he'll tell you where to get off the boat in a heartbeat.
And I just think it seems there's a there's kind of a harmony between Elon and the president, and I think it's refreshing.
You know, in many ways you you I think you can make the argument that as difficult as the previous four years were for him, and all of the unfair things that were said and that they did to him, which I we've never seen before.
As horrible as it was, maybe it worked out better in the end in this sense, is it gave him time to really think long and hard about what it is that he wants to accomplish and how he would do things differently.
And do I think that the Butler assassination attempt and and then the second, you know, would-be assassin impacted him?
I I would argue it had to.
You know, I don't I I I do believe in uh God, and and when you come within a millimeter of losing your life and having your head blown off, because that's what would have happened.
Um I think that would change anybody's life.
And I think I I think we are seeing Donald Trump at his best self right now.
And and I mean that.
I think uh and and um one other factor that I would add to that is winning, you know.
What did he say during the camp campaign?
He kept saying successful VR revenge.
Well, okay, winning is the greatest revenge because you know they I I think my my belief is they wanted to put him in jail, and they probably would have been successful, which would have been a national tragedy.
Four-year hiatus from the presidency, I think really served him well.
And I must say, in my opinion, every one of his cabinet picks are people of intelligence, and quite honestly, they all seem like they're patriots.
Uh I'm very happy with the people around him now.
I think it's the greatest group of people he's ever had.
I really do.
Anyway, Dave, we appreciate you, man.
God bless you.
And we love uh our friends in Kentucky.
800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Terry in Arizona.
Terry, how are you?
Glad you called.
Hey, Sean, thanks for taking my call.
Hey, standing interview on Wednesday night with uh Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.
That was just uh absolutely amazing.
I'm really glad uh you you put that on on the air because we all needed to hear it.
Um so with that being said, you know, there's a lot of muck talk about what's going on with with the doge savings, you know.
And let's face it, I mean, I I read about every article there is about doge.
And uh every time I read, it just uh uh I uh my head wants to explode.
So, you know, um some of the things I think that we ought to really do with that savings is number one, I think we ought to pay uh, you know, sure up uh Social Security.
I mean, for goodness sakes, you got a lot of elderly people, seniors that really depend on that uh uh income, and for a lot of them, it's their only income.
So that's well the president the president addressed that as firmly as he could in that interview, saying he's not gonna touch it, which is what everything and consistent with everything that he said doesn't mean you can't make improvements and cost efficiency, but in terms of the promise, the fundamental promises made to people that it's really their money that they paid into all their working lives for the most part, you know, that money will be available to them.
I promise you, he is dialed in, and he's over the target, and he's keeping his promises.
So you're right.
I think although they they did talk about maybe 20% of the savings going to American taxpayers that are struggling right now, and I would not mind that if that happens at all.
You know, Sean, that would be a great thing uh as far as the 20% is concerned.
But let's keep in mind, you know, uh, you know, I'm a I'm a type of guy, uh fortunately I had a great very successful career.
Um, you know, I've done well.
I don't need five to eight thousand.
Oh, I'd love to have it.
A lot of things I'd love to buy.
But um there's far more people that need it more than me.
Like, I I I would be fine if they means tested it, to be honest.
I don't need it either.
Um, and I'm not looking for it for myself.
I really am not.
And you know, and it's interesting because in Donald Trump's first term, I think he made the right decision.
He he might he might ease some of the the salt deductions for states that elect high tax and spend you know uh politicians um only because these states are dying.
Um, and we don't want to reward the wrong behavior, but uh but I ended up paying more taxes under Donald Trump in his first term as a result, because I lived in a high tax state at the time.
I I I too paid a little bit extra in taxes under Donald Trump, but I certainly didn't mind.
The economy was fine, everything was going great.
You know what the best part was for the first three years of his administration, we had record low unemployment after record low unemployment for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women in the workplace, African American youth unemployment.
Those were massive accomplishments.
Um anyway, my friend, Terry, we appreciate it.
Uh you sound like a good hearted individual or great American.
And you know, I want I want those people that are living paycheck to paycheck.
Let's take care of them first.
Let's get the economy going for their sake first.
Uh thank you for a good call.
Uh 800 941 Sean is on number.
Phil, Missouri, next Sean Hannity show.
Hi.
Hey, Sean, good afternoon.
Thank you for having me on your show.
Thank you.
What's going on?
Well, we're talking about right now with the extra cash, Elon Musk is finding with Dodge and all the fraud, waste, and abuse going on.
So, of course, people receiving illegal kickbacks could possibly be uh prosecuted for tax evasion, like they did the mobsters in the 30s.
But um a positive thing to do.
Well, that that part of the equation, why do you and I have the same suspicion when we get to the bottom of all of this that we're gonna find some corruption that we are not anticipating as of now?
Well, they're making a big enough fuss about in the media to stay out of the treasury department and out of their finances.
It might be a sign of things.
But um, you know, in a way to save lives with all this extra money they're doing, they could open up like a retirement community for honorably discharged veterans, it would cut down on veteran suicide.
They would have a place to go, um, to give them the camaraderie that they need and that they miss, and um it will be open like a fifty-five and older community for veterans only, you know, and this would save lives and could possibly help with veteran homelessness as well.
Yeah, listen, uh uh one of the things I think was really really beneficial.
I mean, under the Obama Biden administration, for example, uh they they remember we discovered the corruption of the VA where they had two sets of lists.
And one was uh uh somebody would request some type of medical treatment or help.
They wouldn't get a call for a year or two years later.
Sometimes they'd get a call back and they were dead because they didn't get the treatment they needed, and President Trump said you get treatment, and then they had another list, you know, they'd call you three days before and they would act as though that was the first initial contact when it was not, and they just were lying and covering it up.
And that was institutionalized, and they were financial incentives associated with it.
And he said, No, if a veteran can't get help at a VA right away, gets the option of going to a local doctor and hospital, and we'll pay for it.
And we owe that to our veterans, just like we owe Social Security to seniors.
They paid their whole lives.
Now, if you want to change it for younger people moving forward, um, I think they'd be better off.
Convincing them of that might be hard.
I don't know why.
I think we've brainwashed people into thinking, you know, that's the best way.
But uh Galvitson in Texas was able many years ago to opt out of that system, and they did much better than regular retirees.
But this is all the innovative thinking, hopefully, that will go into the administration in its final, you know, and as the years move on here.
I mean, again, we've only had one full month that he's been president.
That's it.
Um anyway, thank you, my friend.
800-941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program.
Um, we were talking earlier about the horrific scenes this week, yesterday coming out of Israel.
Hamas handing over the bodies of the dead, including two children and their mother.
And, you know, rightly B.B. Netanyahu says, you know what?
No, this is not gonna stand.
We're not putting up with this, and then celebrating and cheering it all.
And, you know, we even have the video of the original abduction of a mom and her two little uh boys, and they they're now dead.
And Prime Minister Netanyahu, you know, it's just as beyond grotesque.
And he said that he's very clear that um they were killed uh and they have these people have blood on their hands.
And he did say that there will be a reconciling of all of this.
And I can't wait until that happens.
And what he actually said, if you want the exact verbiage of what he said, and he said, We are outraged by Hamas monsters.
The voice of our dead ones blood cries out to us from the ground.
It requires us to settle accounts with the depraved murderers, and we will settle the score.
Good.
Uh, but that's what the IFCJ's been dealing with, too.
They've been on the ground since October 7th, 2023.
And you have tens and tens of thousands of Israelis that have been displaced in the Holy Land and people that can't go back to their homes.
And it's only the international community that has been so generous to help deliver everything food, water, shelter, medicines, bare necessities, and that includes all the evacuees, refugees, first responders, volunteers, wounded soldiers, even elderly Holocaust survivors and families that lost everything.
Whatever you can do to help on a humanitarian level is so appreciated.
They are in desperate need.

All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
Wild, wild week this has been.
I mean, what an incredible think about this.
Only first month of President Trump in office, and look how much has happened.
Compare that to Joe Biden.
Well, I got something planned next week that you're going to like.
It's going to happen Monday.
Um, anyway, uh, thanks for being with us.
And by the way, don't forget we have on FoxNation.com uh the full, complete, unedited, uninterrupted interview with the president and Elon Musk if you're interested in watching.
