Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents, he is a New York Times best-selling author, and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.

Due to his four-plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.

Welcome, I'm Roger Stone, and you are about to enter the Stone Zone.
First of all, I think a lot of you have heard or read about the extraordinary flooding that we have had in South Florida, so I want to thank all those many, many supporters and followers and friends who reached out to see if my wife and I were okay.
I'm happy to say thanks to your prayers and good wishes, we sustained no damage to our home or our car or our beings, but we appreciate your warm wishes.
I have seen the future of the Republican Party and her name is Carrie Lake.
I've said on this show numerous times that in the 40 plus years that I have been in American politics, I have never seen a more compelling communicator, a more poised candidate, and not perhaps since the great Ronald Reagan have I been moved to enthusiastic support for a candidate since I watched the campaign of Carrie Lake.
It is particularly the way that she's handled herself since the election that has impressed me because she has done so despite her disappointment and despite a very real sense of being cheated based on the facts.
She's conducted herself with dignity and she has pursued justice in the question of the Arizona election.
I'm happy to say that Carrie Lake joins us in the Stone Zone now.
Oh my goodness, that was quite an introduction.
Thank you, Roger.
I appreciate that.
Coming from you, that means a whole lot.
It means a whole lot.
Well, it is extraordinarily heartfelt.
I think you ran an excellent campaign, but more importantly, we've now seen how you treat disappointment and adversity.
I must say, studying the case that your lawyers made, both in the lower courts and more recently, you have a compelling and overwhelming case to prove election fraud.
No, folks, this isn't a conspiracy theory.
This isn't based on we lost, we're disappointed.
First of all, I think Kurt Olson has done a superb job on your behalf.
But tell folks, what's the current status of your challenge to the fraudulent outcome of the Arizona election?
Yes, Kurt has done a great job.
He's our lead attorney and Brian Blem is our attorney here in Arizona.
You know, had I really lost fair and square, I would have been the most gracious of people and I would have shaked the hand of my opponent and wished her well.
But it wasn't just me that was cheated in this election.
It was the good people of this state, the people I love so much.
That's why I'm standing up and fighting.
We don't have a choice.
If we just continue to have elections rigged and stolen from us and we just keep walking away from it, we're not gonna have a country much longer.
The status of our case is that we present an incredible election case in the lower courts, 10 counts.
The judge only allowed us to fight on two of them.
But we continue to push it up the chain until we got to the Arizona Supreme Court.
Now the Arizona Supreme Court, told the lower court judge that he erred.
He made a mistake and he has to take up the issue once again of the signature verification, which is the signature on the outside of the mail-in ballot envelope.
And our whistleblowers told us, three whistleblowers told us that upwards of about 150,000 bogus signatures, signatures that didn't match, that didn't exist, that were nowhere close to being a match, were pushed on through and counted.
And that would obviously affect the outcome of the election.
So the Arizona Supreme Court has pushed that down to the lower court to have that judge reconsider.
We're very excited about that.
We believe that that is one of the ways they cheated President Trump and one of the ways they cheated me.
And we're also fighting right now on these 35,000 ballots minimum that just appeared a couple days after the election out of nowhere.
Obviously, chain of custody wasn't followed.
They should be able to track down every single ballot at every single moment, and they weren't following that.
So we're fighting that in the Supreme Court as well.
I have these two different aspects going on the case.
But whatever happens, Roger, we don't know if we'll get a fair shake in the courts.
We will continue to push this all the way to the United States Supreme Court.
We think they're ready for a good election case, and we think my election case is the best election case we've ever seen in this country, and I'm willing to continue to fight and take it all the way.
What I thought was particularly egregious was the pattern of election officials in Maricopa County knowingly, willfully sending ballots that were sized in such a way that the tabulators could not possibly count them.
It seemed to me that there were a disproportionate number of those sent to the most heavily Republican precincts.
I know the judge limited your attorneys in terms of the time and the number of issues they could raise.
I frankly thought they did a brilliant job, given the time limits that the judge put on them.
But to me, that is the most outrageous part of this steal.
Yeah, absolutely.
And that part, we're not in the courts on right now.
We already have that part of the court case.
And I thought that was a smoking gun.
Basically what happened is they knew that our movement is so massive and so many people were coming out to vote on election day because they don't trust the system.
And they showed up in such large numbers that they realized the best way to cheat in the election would be to sabotage election day voting.
And they did that.
At 61% of voting locations, the machines didn't work.
They were intentionally printing the wrong image on the ballot on election day So that it would jam up the tabulators and the votes wouldn't be counted.
Now they tell us that they counted the votes eventually, but they're basically saying, well, you gotta just trust us on that.
Our experts say that they weren't counted.
And 250,000, that's a quarter of a million ballots were spit out on election day, unreadable.
That is shocking.
It's criminal, in my opinion.
It's disenfranchisement of voters.
And it is the trampling of our sacred vote.
And we know that they did this because they wanted to stop our movement.
They couldn't have someone like me, a true outsider, much like Donald Trump, come into office and root out the corruption that has gotten to be so deep here in Maricopa County and in Arizona.
And they knew that I was gonna do exactly what I said I was gonna do, which is shut down the illegal activity, shut down the cartel activity at the border, call it what it is, an invasion, And while we were at it, we were also going to reform our elections.
And they said, we've got to stop this woman any way possible, even if it's in broad daylight.
And even if everyone can see what we're doing, we don't even care how obvious it is.
We've got to stop her.
Just like they did with Trump and COVID.
In a way, I think that you are a victim of your own success.
In the primary, I think it was a very wise strategy to turn out a maximum number of your supporters to vote in person on primary day.
That way those who would seek to cheat don't know how many votes they have to steal.
Although I must tell you, I stayed up all night waiting for Maricopa County to come in.
You had carried every other county.
I was waiting for one more county I admit to being distraught until you were finally declared the winner.
And I think that's why.
I think that's why they staged this election day fraud using the manipulation of the tabulators.
The other part of this has to be very painful for you is to see the damage that unelected Governor Katie Hobbs is doing to your state, even as we speak.
It's horrible.
It's absolutely horrible.
I think actually, let me go back to the primary.
I think they did a test run of it, of what they planned, as I look back.
In Pinal County, which is another large county, not anywhere close to the size of Maricopa County, one hour into election day, they ran out of Republican ballots, only Republican ballots, one hour into election day.
And they ran out of Republican ballots at 25%.
Of voting locations in Pinal County.
And I think that little light bulb went off in their heads and they said, whoa, we can actually sabotage election day.
They thought that would be enough to stop me by doing that in Pinal County.
They still cheated during the primary, but they didn't cheat big enough.
And then they realized we got to roll out a bigger cheating plan for the general election, which is what they did.
You're right.
When you see the government The people that weren't elected take our government, steal our government, assume the roles in our government, and then tear down our state and attempt to destroy it.
It is horrifying to watch.
I love Arizona so much.
I'm originally from Iowa, but Arizona has been my home for nearly the last 30 years.
And these problems we have here, Roger, are not impossible to solve.
I think President Trump taught us that.
Our elected officials for years had been telling us it takes decades to solve any problems.
Trump went in there and in one week he started turning things around.
And so we had all the solutions to solve the problems.
Political folks go in there and actually muck up the system even further.
Katie Hobbs has torn down barriers at the border, opened up our border even more, allowing for more trafficking of children and women and people to come in to our country.
Some of them are criminals, very dangerous people.
We don't even know where they're coming from.
They're taking housing from Americans and jobs.
But most horrifyingly for me as a mother is watching the fentanyl pour across the poisoning of our young generation with this powerful drug that is just pouring in.
And I just wonder how much worse it can get.
And then I see the aerial shots over the border of all those migrant camps.
And I wonder how long before those migrants just get fed up and storm our border and come in anyway.
It's a horrifying situation.
It's being made worse because we've allowed our elections to be stolen and we've allowed these frauds to take our government away from us, away from we, the people.
Another thing that I must say that I admire about you is the way that you have stood up strong and defended our mutual friend, President Donald Trump, as he is under outrageous attack by a politicized justice system Which has clearly decided that they can't beat him at the ballot box in a free, fair, honest, transparent election and therefore they seek to muddy him up or maybe even find some way to disqualify him.
You have stood very tall for the president and I admire that enormously.
Well, for a fact he's the greatest president in my 53 years.
And I love the other guy that I see in the picture behind you, Ronald Reagan.
I kind of consider a perfect blend, Ronald Reagan and President Trump.
And President Trump might end up being the greatest president in our entire nation if he can get into the White House and turn this Titanic around.
And I really pray that we can get him there.
And I'm going to do everything in my power to make that happen.
What has happened to Donald Trump, President Trump, over the past eight years is so despicable.
And it's not just the Uniparty attacking him.
It's not just what you want to call the deep state attacking him.
I am most appalled by the way the media has handled him.
Coming from the media myself, working in the media for 30 years, if anybody thinks poorly of President Trump, it's because the media has intentionally been putting hit pieces, derogatory stories, lies, downright lies out for eight solid years, 24-7,
To turn people against this man who has done nothing but have the courage and thank God, the willingness to stand up and fight for this country, to put America first.
And so I'm doing what I'm doing, um, just because I know that my children, in order for them to have a future, we're going to need someone like Donald Trump in the White House to turn things around.
And I, uh, I just, there's not a bad word I can say about him.
I, I think so highly of him, what he's endured.
You know, I've endured a lot since I jumped into politics a year and a half ago, two years ago.
They write constant hit pieces on me, but it is nothing compared to what President Trump and his beautiful family have had to deal with.
And we all need to stand up and start protecting the Trumps and helping get him in office so that we can save our country.
He's the only guy I believe right now at this moment, and he's the best suited guy to save our nation.
The analogy you made between President Ronald Reagan, who I worked for in three presidential campaigns, 1976 when he challenged Gerald Ford, 1980 when he was elected, 1984 in his reelection, and President Trump is an extraordinarily apt analogy.
They are both charismatic figures, very focused on the big picture.
They can motivate people beyond the Republican base.
In other words, the Trump movement, the America First movement, is far larger than the Republican Party.
And it is going to take someone like, with the courage of a Donald Trump, to take on a completely corrupted system, the Uniparty.
You've experienced it certainly there in Arizona.
And we should not kid ourselves.
Although I have a deep reverence for the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, at the leadership level of our party, we have a two party duopoly that is bent on destroying the Constitution, canceling we have a two party duopoly that is bent on destroying the Constitution, canceling our freedoms, and seeking yet another world war or
So I think that Donald Trump actually, first of all, I believe he will get a second term and as great as he was in his first term, rebuilding our military.
I think he learned a lot in his first term.
The fastest rate of job growth in American history, the fastest rate of wage growth in American history, the lowest levels of unemployment among all Americans, black Americans, white Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, young people, old people.
I think he learned a lot in his first term.
He wasn't a politician.
He came to Washington with the quaint notion that there were two parties, the Republicans and the Democrats and all the Republicans were for him and all the Democrats were against That didn't turn out to be true.
That's so true.
He did learn a lot.
We all learned a lot.
This is what I love about him.
You know, speaking of the two men behind you, Reagan and Trump in those photos, you know, I'm from a town about an hour away from where Ronald Reagan was born.
Um, obviously we were born a few decades apart, but Ronald Reagan was the president of my youth.
And he's the reason when I turned 18 that I registered as a Republican.
And he, you know, he was attacked for the same reasons they attacked me when I first jumped in.
Well, what do you know?
You, you know, you're, I was a journalist, a broadcast journalist.
You just are a reader.
You read scripts.
What do you know?
They said the same things about Ronald Reagan, but he came in to California.
At a time when they were teetering on disaster.
Boy, could they use another Ronald Reagan in California.
And through his impeccable communication skills, he instilled hope in the people.
And he brought together a great team.
He wasn't an expert in every field, but he knew how to bring people together.
And that's what he did in California.
And he did that for America at a time when, in the 70s, I'm preaching to the choir, you know this story better than I do probably, but I lived it.
I remember in the 70s how despondent Americans were, depressed Americans were after four years of Jimmy Carter.
And he came in and kind of pulled us out of that depression and said, no, we can do this.
And he brought us together through patriotism and love of country.
I see President Trump like Ronald Reagan.
Maybe not that as smooth of a communicator.
Reagan was so smooth and he was optimistic.
And that's that Midwestern charm that I love so much in him.
But you know what we needed when Trump came along?
We needed a brash New Yorker.
to knock some sense into us and explain what was going on.
We needed someone with his communication style, and we still do.
I don't give a rat's butt about his tweeting.
I love it.
I would much rather have someone who can communicate in a tweet and get the world to notice what's happening than somebody who is bumbling and practically drooling the guy that we have in the White House right now.
The guy that can't find the front door.
He can't bring two or three words together to form a coherent sentence.
And he is so dangerous because he's marching us straight into World War III.
So I'm ready to get President Trump with his tweets and his truths right back there in the White House so that he can turn this country around and frankly get the world on solid footing for the sake of All mankind.
Well, I think what you and Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan all have in common is that you are outsiders, not part of the political system.
But Trump's greatest single attribute, two really, one is his toughness.
I mean, I worked for Richard Nixon.
I worked for Senator Bob Dole, one of the greatest men of the 20th century.
They were both very tough customers.
But a lesser man right now would be under his bed.
The way he has stood up to the relentless attacks on himself and his family, in the media, and now through the court system.
I have the handful of reporters I still speak to calling me and saying, So he's angry, right?
He's furious.
He's unhinged.
He's depressed.
He's hysterical.
No, I've seen him or spoken to him several times in the last two weeks.
That's not the Trump that I see.
The Trump that I see is resolute.
Trump, I see, is determined.
Trump, I see, is actually upbeat.
He was playing, you know, songs at Mar-a-Lago the other night on the terrace.
He was in a terrific mood.
A lesser man could not stand up to this.
So, I agree with you, and I think that he's going to get his second term.
It is a tortured path.
There's no way to get there, in my opinion.
There's no way to get to 270 electoral votes.
Without Arizona.
Can the election machinery of Arizona be fixed in time for the 2024 presidential election?
Well, I'm doing everything in my power to try to make that happen.
I'm working hard.
Our case is moving forward and we're not going to stop.
We're not going to accept defeat in the courts because we know for a fact that we won.
And we're going to take it as far as we have to go.
And you know what?
The people want us to.
The fake news may act like nobody wants us to, but I'm telling you, I've been to probably 10 states since the election.
I've probably spoken to thousands of people, maybe tens of thousands.
I've been through airports.
Everybody comes up and says, thank you for fighting.
Don't stop fighting.
We have to have this fight right now to turn our elections around.
So the people want it, and the people of Arizona want it as well.
More than 70% of Republicans feel that our elections are rigged and rotten.
51% of independents in Arizona think we have problems in our elections, and 29%, nearly 30% of Democrats feel the same way.
This is a fight for America and the people, not just the Republicans.
If this were happening, if this would have happened to Katie Hobbs, my opponent, if the Democrats would have been disenfranchised the way the Republicans were, I would not be okay with that.
Because I love this country more than I love any bit of politics or political parties.
I love this country first and foremost.
I hope we can get it turned around.
We'll do whatever we can on our part.
You know, we filed a case in federal court, Mark Fincham and myself, along with the help of Mike Lindell helping out to get rid of the voting machines.
And they threw it out, an Obama judge named Tucci, Threw it out saying we had no standing.
And so we're continuing to fight that, and we are in the appellate court right now, and maybe we can get some movement on that.
We will never win if we quit.
And I will tell you that.
We will never win anything if we quit.
My dad was a football coach and a history and government teacher, and that's what he taught us girls.
We have eight girls in our family and one boy.
He said, you know, when you have a goal, you keep your eye on that goal, and you work hard to achieve it, and you never stop.
And once you quit, then you know you've lost.
So there's no quit in me.
And I know there's no quit in Donald Trump.
That's what I love about him.
And you're right.
I think people want to see him as someone who's angry and lashing out.
I've spent a lot of time with him.
I'm honored to call him friend.
And I've never seen that.
Even in the darkest times when I've called him, when you would think he would be angry or in tears about what's happening, he's upbeat.
And he realizes that he's on, he's in the fight and he's in the right fight.
And when you know you're doing something that's noble and worthwhile, then there's no getting you down.
I wake up every day, Roger, and I don't know about you.
I wake up every day and I just say, all right, let's go.
God placed us here at this amazing, pivotal time in American history and frankly, in human history.
And, and that God put us here at this time is, is remarkable.
And I'm just so thankful for that.
And that he put me in the fight to try to make a difference.
Oh, I'm not going to screw that up because God's counting on us to do the right thing.
All right.
So I have to put you on the spot.
I'm my governor, Ron DeSantis, who I've voted for twice.
Is running, these are my words, not yours, kind of a shadow campaign for president.
It's an open secret within our party that he intends to challenge the man who, I argue, single-handedly, through a tweeted endorsement, elevated him not only to the governorship, but then changed his schedule for the last two weeks of the 2018 campaign to come here three times to help drag Governor DeSantis over the finish line.
Yesterday, there was speculation in the Orlando Sentinel that he may be reconsidering a challenge to the president.
I hope that's true.
If you had a message for Governor DeSantis, what would it be?
Well, I've been outspoken on this, and I've taken a lot of criticism for it, but there's only one man that can get us out of the mess we're in, and that man is Donald John Trump.
And Ron DeSantis has been an effective governor and the people of the great state of Florida just reelected him.
And I'm assuming that they're assuming that he will represent them and work hard for them.
It's a great job to have.
He should stay there in Florida and help the people of Florida.
I think it's really unfortunate if he's running and the taxpayers are paying for it.
And this is what is starting to look like with his trips around the country.
And, and, you know, obviously I don't control his schedule, but if he is running, the people should know about it.
And I don't think they're going to be happy that they're footing the bill for this, as you called it, shadow campaign.
I believe that Ron DeSantis should run in 28.
And I think he'll, he would be a very likely successful, but it says aloud about a man's character.
When they, they stabbed somebody in the back, especially as somebody who helped Make them.
And there's no doubt about it that President Trump, he really, really put his neck out for Ron DeSantis when he endorsed him.
He was way behind.
He was losing to a apparently meth addict pervert.
DeSantis was about to lose to a meth addict pervert when a man by the name of Donald Trump came in and saved the day and really saved Florida.
And so I think he should look deep into his heart and say, what's the right thing to do here?
The right thing to do is to show that you are of character, that you don't disrespect people who have helped you, and you don't stab them in the back.
And I think that Ron DeSantis will make the right decision, I hope, and serve out his term for the people of the great state of Florida.
I agree with you.
Florida has a very broad sunshine law.
The idea that we cannot get access To the records for the state airplane and where it is being used and how it is being used.
And the fact that the Republican legislature is now going to try to shield that information from the people is really quite extraordinary.
Not just the state airplane, but the private planes that people are flying around on.
You have to wonder who's footing the bill on all of this.
And who is the priority?
Are the people of Florida the priority?
Or are political aspirations the priority?
In the news today, stories in which I think I can accurately say that you have said that if your challenge over the governor's race does not work out, as we all pray it will, that you will consider running for the U.S.
Senate.
I don't see you as a career politician just looking for their next office.
So I respect this decision because I think it is based in your desire to serve.
And it is not, I think it was Theodore Roosevelt who said, it's not the critic who counts, not the man who Who points out how the strong woman in this case stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better.
The credit belongs to the person who's actually in the arena.
You have been in the arena.
And I want to second that motion.
In other words, if the governorship does not work out, if you are not successful in overturning this fraudulent election, I hope you will run for the Senate.
Well, thank you.
There's a lot to think about right now and my focus is like a laser beam right now on our case.
We really have to address our elections and a lot of the Republicans don't want to talk about it.
You don't solve problems by sticking your head in the sand and acting like problems don't exist.
And frankly, that's one of the reasons I do feel that I do need to stay in the arena is because I want to solve the problems.
I want to help save America.
I want to preserve our constitutional rights.
If I am such a dangerous politician, as one of the headlines said, the most dangerous politician in America, because I'm dangerous to the status quo and the political elite, the uniparty and the swamp.
And if I'm so dangerous that they're willing to steal an election in broad daylight, I'm not going to let these people get away with that.
The good people of Arizona chose me to go into the governor's office and give them back their government.
And if they're going to try to take that away from me and the people, I will stay in the arena and I will continue to be their worst nightmare.
We need to root out some of these socialists and Democrats who are hell bent on destroying our country, who are in lockstep with Joe Biden.
And right now we've got two of them running on the ticket.
Looks like Kyrsten Sinema will try to act like she's an independent right now.
And we've got a guy named Gallego running as a Democrat he's really a leftist and They would be very dangerous for Arizona and my heart is to protect Arizona.
That's what I want to do I want to protect Arizona for my kids, so I'll make that decision at a later date But I am very confident in our court case right now, and that's where my focus is Final question at CPAC I was very gratified and happy to see that the attendees in a straw poll selected you for vice president I know you're not running for vice president.
By the way, no one runs for vice president.
But that had to be a great affirmation for you to have all those patriots recognize your outstanding leadership.
Politician?
You're not a politician.
Or maybe like Ronald Reagan, you're a citizen politician.
Yes, I'm a citizen politician, just like Reagan and just like Trump.
And we need more citizen politicians to step forward.
I was, um, I was flattered.
I didn't even know they did that straw poll.
I thought they just did the one for president.
And so when I heard it, it really was, it was really nice.
I've always gotten a good, um, good reception when I go to CPAC and some of these many political events around the country.
We were just in California and the raucous crowd of Republicans and independents who showed up to hear me speak.
I've never seen anything like it.
They are so ready to get some citizen politicians representing them.
I'm flattered by that.
That decision will be made by one man, and that decision will be made by Donald Trump.
He will be the nominee, and I believe that he will pick the right person to be his vice president.
I don't know who that will be.
I have not had any discussions with him on that, and it's solely up to him.
And I'm hoping at that moment I'm sitting in the governor's office helping to turn Arizona around.
Carrie Lake will be in South Florida next week for a fundraiser for the America Project Border 9-1-1 project.
She's going to be, along with President Trump, at the Mar-a-Lago, and tickets are still available for that.

I guess it hasn't stopped raining in South Florida.
That was the most dynamic woman in the Republican Party today, Carrie Lake, and I'm absolutely convinced that her greatest public service I'm going to read the entire quote.
This is something said by President Theodore Roosevelt, but it was not publicly known until President Richard Nixon's speechwriters located this quote.
And in truth, although it appears in print, it's not clear that President Roosevelt actually ever gave this speech, although it was certainly distributed to the press at the time.
It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit belongs to the man who's actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcomings, but who does actually strive to do the deeds, who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends themselves in a worthy cause,
who at the best knows at the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he, in this case she, should fail, at least fails while daring greatly, so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. so that their place shall never be with those cold In the wake of what may be a defeat in Arizona, I think Carrie Lake is a perfect example of what Roosevelt was talking about.
She isn't finished, folks.
She is just beginning.
She ran one of the best campaigns that I have seen in my 40-plus years in American politics.
But as I said at the outset, it is the way she's handled herself in the wake of disappointment, in the wake of being quite obviously cheated, that has really won my even greater admiration.
And we thank her very much for joining us today in the Stone Zone.

The Never Back Down PAC that collected $30 million to promote the candidacy of Governor Ron DeSantis has announced its first $1 million ad buy.
And we're going to see.
I've read the text of this ad.
I think this is two things.
First of all, I think it is absolute proof Despite what a lot of people think, Governor DeSantis is going to go ahead and run, in essence, biting the hand that fed him.
Carrie Lake is correct when she referenced Donald Trump coming to Florida in the closing days of the 2018 campaign and helping drag Ron DeSantis and push Senator Rick Scott over the finish line in extraordinarily close races.
But more importantly, was the outsized role that Donald Trump played in the Florida Republican primary.
The truth is, a relatively unknown congressman, Ron DeSantis, was running at about 7% in the polls.
He was being beaten by 5 to 1 by Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, a former congressman, and the entire Republican establishment of Florida was behind him.
And it is only the tweeted endorsement of President Donald Trump that literally catapulted DeSantis from an unknown to the Republican gubernatorial position.
And then, frankly, because he was more versed in federal issues, mostly foreign policy and defense issues, Where he was a supporter of the coup that took down the democratically elected government in Ukraine and not well versed on state issues.
He did not fare well in two debates with his Democratic opponent, the mayor of Tallahassee, who would later become embroiled in a scandal.
And he won by a mere 30,000 votes.
So, I agree with Carrie Lake when she says that running is an act of disloyalty.
Nonetheless, I think despite the problems that have been posed in his book tour, which doesn't seem to have gone that smoothly and has not attracted the crowd sizes that Donald Trump can command, I still believe that the Florida legislature
will repeal the state law currently in place that would require the governor to resign his state position before running for federal office.
Now, some people have said that that's incorrect.
No, it is not incorrect.
Those who use the example of Governor Rick Scott, who was governor and then ran for the U.S.
Senate, failed to recognize that the terms did not overlap, meaning Governor Scott's term as governor ended before the term for the U.S.
Senate began, and therefore there was no requirement that Rick Scott resign.
The reason that Governor DeSantis and his allies in the legislature want to change this law is so that Governor DeSantis can hold on to the fulcrum that the governorship gives him for incredible fundraising among the special interests.
For example, Florida Power and Light and other utilities gave him as much as $9 million for his various political committees.
What did Floridians get?
We got the largest single jump in our electric bills that we have ever seen in the history of the state.
Slightly more than 20% increase.
And the regulators who report to Governor DeSantis allowed this.
That's log rolling.
We also have an insurance crisis in our state.
Again, Governor DeSantis took millions of dollars from the insurance industry, but it's now been documented many, many Floridians whose homes or roofs were destroyed in Hurricane Ian are being offered pennies on the dollar when they try to rebuild their homes or replace their roof.
Again, this is a rollover for the insurance industry, largely based on enormous campaign contributions to the various committees of Governor DeSantis.
Those who say, well, he should wait until 2028, which I think politically makes more sense, Need to recognize that he will leave office in 2026.
He's not eligible to run for another term because Florida only allows a governor to serve two consecutive terms.
You can come back and run for governor again, as former Governor Charlie Crist has done.
Charlie Crist has now run for public office as a Republican, a Democrat, and an Independent.
It gives rise to a great joke.
A Republican, a Democrat, and an independent walked into a bar and the bartender said, Hi, Charlie.
In any event, the other issue that comes up constantly, and therefore I have to address it one more time, is the question of a Trump-DeSantis ticket.
I recognize and I have written that many of those who are strong supporters of President Trump are also strong supporters and like Governor DeSantis.
So why can we not have a Trump DeSantis ticket?
The reason for this is the way the rules of the Electoral College are worded.
Listen carefully because we continue to get mail on this.
While the rules of the Electoral College Do not specifically prohibit a party from nominating two individuals who are legal residents of the same state.
It penalizes the party that does so if they carry that state, in this case the state of Florida.
As Seth Ketchum, Captain K, who was with us about a week ago, points out, there is no construct in which the Republicans win the White House in 2024 without carrying Florida.
And the nomination of a Trump-DeSantis ticket, when they carried the state, and they would, would cause them to forfeit the 30 electoral votes of Florida, something we cannot afford to do.
So if you are one of those America first Republicans who thinks this whole thing could be solved by forging a Trump DeSantis ticket, I've just explained to you why that cannot be done.
The other question I get a lot is, who should President Trump take as his vice presidential running man?
Traditionally, this is a decision that cannot be made at the beginning of the process.
You have to see how the contest for the nomination goes.
You have to see who the Democrats end up nominating.
I continue to believe that the re-election campaign of President Joe Biden, given the unevenness of his public performances, Embarrassing in some cases indicate to me that perhaps he will not be a candidate for re-election.
Although, as one of my good friends pointed out to me this morning, he may have no choice because it is perhaps only with the power of the presidency that he can shield himself and members of his family from criminal prosecution for egregious crimes involving giant he may have no choice because it is perhaps only with the power of the presidency that he can shield himself and members of his family from criminal prosecution for egregious crimes involving giant sums of money
And that would be a strong reason for him to run despite his physical condition.

And we reviewed a letter written by President Joe Biden's personal physician in 2019 that outlined the fact that he's had two brain aneurysms, prostate surgery, is taking a litany prostate surgery, is taking a litany of drugs.
They concluded then that he was perfectly fit for the presidency.
We don't wish any ill will on him, but he seems to me to be more and more detached, more and more confused.
And then the announcement that the Democratic National Convention will be held in Chicago, which just happens to be the hometown of Barack, but more importantly, Michelle Obama.
They've already changed the Democratic nominating process to do away with the historic Iowa caucuses, traditionally the first presidential race, presidential contest.
In both parties.
They also have done away with New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary, so the Democratic contest for president, unlike the Republican contest for president, actually begins in South Carolina, a state that saved Joe Biden's prospects for the nomination the last time he ran, but a state whose primary is demographically dominated by African American voters.
African-American voters who one would presume would be very high on Michelle Obama.
So are we seeing the perfect setup?
