And greetings and welcome back, ladies and gentlemen.
Happy to have you here.
As always, Rush Limbaugh, the cutting edge of societal evolution talent on loan from God.
Telephone number, if you want to be on the program in this hour, 800-282-2882 and the email address, lrushbow at eibnet.com.
No, no, no.
This is additional CBS footage.
This is not a recycling of what CBS already reported.
This adds to what Cheryl Atkins put out on October 19th.
We talked about it then.
There is more from the interview on September 12th that CBS did with Barack Obama, and it is even more damning.
A lot of people, I am told, on the internet, think that Breitbart has a story about this out today.
This recycling of the earlier story, after a direct question from Steve Croft, Obama refused to call Benghazi terrorism in his 60 Minutes interview.
They did not air that.
They just made that available last Friday.
Scott Pelley, CBS.
Oh, by the way, you know what we just found?
Now, this is important because Obama's out there been lying ever since the second debate, saying he did call it terrorism, the attack on the Consul Benghazi, when it wasn't.
He was trying to get off the fact he'd blamed the video, which he did blame the video.
Candy Crowley helped him in the second debate.
I really believe the reason Romney hasn't talked about Benghazi is because of that second debate.
I think Romney has figured the deck is stacked against him.
Probably best not to bring it up and let the rest of the media that there is get the story out.
And he's going to focus on the economy.
Which, get this.
Obama just said he's at a campaign rally.
I don't know where.
He's doing a swing state blitz.
And he just said, now keep in mind that Barack Obama is wrapping up his fourth year in orifice.
And he said, we tried it their way.
We tried it their way.
And their way doesn't work.
They created fewer jobs than us.
The president of the United States.
This is as blatant a lie and a misstatement effect as you can make.
What he told these ding bat supporters of his is that he has created more jobs in these four years than occurred during the eight years of Bush.
We tried it their way.
That means Bush.
We tried it their way.
And they created fewer jobs than us.
It's not even grammatically correct.
I didn't have the sound up.
I don't know what reaction he got, but that's just, that's just a blatant, blatant lie.
Now, this war on women, you know, it's been fascinating to watch this, in one regard, maddening, too.
But supposedly, Romney and Ryan are going to reverse Roe versus Wade, and they're going to take contraception away from you.
And that's the essence of the war on women.
Romney, Ryan, Republicans are going to take abortion away from you, and they are going to make sure that you don't get contraception so that you have to get pregnant and you can't get an abortion.
And therefore, you have to stay home, stay in the kitchen.
That's the progressive line of thought they want everybody to fall into.
Well, just as I said, reversing Roe versus Wade is nothing a president can do.
President cannot touch it.
A president has no role in constitutional amendments.
All of this talk about Romney taking this or that away is simply another lie.
And women in this campaign have been intellectually abused like I have never seen them abused.
I've seen their intelligence insulted.
This campaign is treating women as nothing more than sex objects, actually.
And they're treating all of you women as though all you care about is having sex as often as you can and having as many abortions as you need to allow you to have all the sex.
And then the abortion is only really necessary because they're going to make sure that you get all the contraception you want.
That's how you're looked at.
The Obama campaign, you are minks and you take contraception and when that doesn't work, they're going to make sure you get the abortion.
And the Republicans don't want you to have any of that pleasure.
That's the essence of the war on women.
Well, let me tell you about contraception.
There was a Supreme Court decision, 1965, famous Supreme Court decision, Griswold.
In that Supreme Court decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution protects the use of contraceptives.
Contraceptives cannot be outlawed.
This matter was settled 50 years ago.
Mitt Romney cannot reverse Griswold versus Connecticut.
Mitt Romney cannot reverse Roe versus Wade.
If you know any women who believe that Romney is going to take away abortion or that Romney is going to take away their contraception, tell them it's not possible.
Romney Ryan can't do either.
The only issue here is whether people should pay for their own contraceptives or whether their neighbors should be forced to pay for their contraceptives.
That's all that this is about.
You know it and I know it.
The issue is about whether or not the Catholic Church should be forced to make them available and whether or not you should get them free, i.e. your neighbors paying for them.
Now, our wonderful president, Obama, insists that your neighbor should pay for your contraception.
Barack Obama insists your neighbor should pay for everything.
Your neighbor should pay for your health care.
Your neighbor should pay for your unemployment compensation.
Your neighbor should pay for your contraception.
Barack Obama has run tens of millions of dollars in ads all over the country insisting that anybody who disagrees with him on this is against women.
This is the Barack Obama war on women.
If you disagree with the fact that somebody else should buy your contraceptions, then those people hate women.
Those people are anti-woman.
It's absurd.
So, as a result of that, Romney is said to be against women.
George Allen in Virginia is said to be against women.
Connie Mack in Florida is said to be against women.
Every Senate candidate and House candidate who says, hey, pay for your own contraception is smeared as being against women.
Any candidate who says, hey, be self-reliant is said to be against women or against men or against this or against that.
If I didn't know better watching this campaign, I would say that free contraceptives is more important to Obama than heart disease, diabetes, whatever.
That's how screwed up his campaign is.
The number one health issue in this country is contraception.
That's what his war on women is all about.
That's what he wants you women to think the most important thing in your life is contraception and that somebody else ought to pay for yours.
And if somebody comes along and says, no, you ought to pay for your own, which is $9 a month, then they're against women.
So boil down the war on women, simply stated, is this.
If you think women should buy their own contraception, you hate women.
That's it.
That's what the war on women is.
Do you expect your neighbors to pay for your bullets for your gun?
Do you expect your neighbors to buy your food?
Do you expect your neighbors to buy your gasoline?
Do you expect your neighbors to pay for your solar panels?
Barack Obama thinks that your neighbor ought to buy your contraception.
This is how he's appealing to women.
And Romney wants to take contraception away.
So Romney's anti-woman.
Romney can't take anybody's contraception away.
In fact, I don't think he cares about it in the big scheme of things.
And meanwhile, Barack Obama, we created more jobs in my administration than the previous.
We tried it their way.
And they created fewer jobs than us.
Just amazing.
Literally amazing.
By the way, I mentioned this song.
This song is two years old.
It was sent to me by my brother who got it from somebody he tweets with.
It's a couple of guys at Ohio State University.
Two years old, and it's just listening.
It's a you picked a fine time to lead us, Barack.
I, of course, featured prominently in a tune.
That's admittedly one of the few reasons that we are playing this for you.
Well, instead of just leading, his heart's out there bleeding, campaigning and raising his phone.
While he shows his true colors, the U.S. discovers we cling to religion and dumbs.
Well, the numbers he'll fudge it.
He's tripped the budget.
And blamed it all on in his pen.
His words are contortions.
We pay for abortions for the whole world with our income tax.
But he'll take care of their health by spreading around your wealth, giving kickbacks to acorn and class.
Well, all that he's doing leads to Soviet Union.
You cannot sell all that bad.
He fears revolution, cause that flawed constitution.
Might throw the mouth lad on his back while he's out smoking methods.
He's cussing Russian limbo.
Cutting no slack.
You've got to find out the leaders for it.
Abandoning our mission of free Not sure on Afghani, you pick the funds and just bread.
Well, he's already deemed us all right-wing extremists to pay for our capitalist sin.
Whitehouse for the left tax Raising every tax It's a corner all over again Being president is so hard when you go like a retard Till the whole country like that But if he gets in trouble just blame it on double You bushed on to that
You take the fine time to lead us forever, old Afghanistan.
She picked a fine gun, I guess my brother
Don't go too much deeper than his brother, still stuck in keeping much EIB, the words and the music of conservatism at two years old, college students, OHIO State two years ago, still applicable two years ago 2010, Which is what I think is the foundation of this election,
Which is what I think is the best indicator of what's going to happen tomorrow, 2010, not 2008 and not 2006 and not 2004, but 2010.
What did George Bush ever do to women?
Somebody tell me what Bush's war on women was.
Do you know that Obama's war on women has led to the biggest decline in female employment in 40 years?
You want to talk about a war on women?
Barack Obama, largest decline in female employment in 40 years.
Buried in Friday's jobs report was this disheartening fact.
9,000 employees of the mining and resource extraction sector lost their jobs in October alone.
This brings the total job losses in the mining and resource extraction sector to 17,000 jobs lost since May.
This is not an accident.
Barack Obama is targeting.
The coal people, coal miners, know full well what has happened.
In every swing state, they know full well what is happening.
And they are not supporting Barack Hussein Obama no matter what Trump could tell them, no matter what their union head tells them.
Their union head doesn't employ them.
Barack Obama promised to put the coal business out of business and he is on target.
He is on schedule.
Have you seen all these newspapers that have endorsed Romney?
Have you noticed all of a sudden now how that doesn't matter?
The drive-bys are indicting their own business.
Oh yeah, newspaper endorsements not nearly as important as they used to be.
Just like the Redskins rule.
Now you can't.
The Redskins rule is very, very simple.
If the Redskins win at home on the last game at home before the election, if they win, the incumbent party wins.
19 of the last 20 such examples, which dates back to 1940.
19 of the last 20 elections.
Redskins win at home, incumbent party wins.
Well, the Redskins lost.
They lost to the Carolina Panthers.
So another way of saying this is, if the Redskins lose at home, the out-of-power party wins 19 of the last 20 such elections since 1940.
Now, I'm here to tell you, if the Redskins had won yesterday, all you'd be hearing today about the Redskin rule, they would lump it in all their other polling data and all their other stories about why Obama is going to win.
You know it and I know it.
But the Redskin rule doesn't exist.
You can't find any mention of it.
There's nothing scientific about it.
It's just an amazing occurrence.
It's the kind of thing a lot of people attach meaning to.
It's why the news people would pump it.
But since it doesn't favor Obama, they're not talking about it.
Just like 28 of America's largest newspapers that endorsed Obama in 2008 now support Romney, many of them in swing states.
Newspaper endorsements don't matter this year.
As of a few days ago, this is the most recent data that we have.
A few days ago, newspaper endorsements, 112 for Romney, 84 for Obama.
In 2008, Obama won newspaper endorsements 296 to 180.
Today it's 112 Romney, 84 Obama.
Even the New York Daily News has endorsed Romney.
Did you know that, Snerdly?
They used to call it the New York Daily People's Worker.
The New York Daily News has endorsed Mitt Romney.
And the American presidency project, according to those people, when it comes to endorsing some newspapers in the swing states, Romney leading Obama 14 to 5.
It doesn't matter this year, though.
Newspaper endorsements, drive-bys themselves are saying, well, you know, the newspaper business, it's not what it used to be.
Oh, your own business is not what it used to be.
It doesn't carry the influence impact used to.
Oh, really?
When did that happen?
Well, it just started this year.
Just this year.
Here's that soundbite of Obama.
This is what I saw during commercial break, and I was reading the closed captioning.
He didn't say, as I thought, that they created fewer jobs than us.
He said the deficit went up.
See, that's the captioning had it wrong, and that's all I had to go on.
Here's what he said.
This is just delusional.
This is our president, folks, entirely, totally, completely delusional.
He's not there.
The elevator's not going to top floor today.
Listen.
We tried our ideas.
They worked.
The economy grew.
We created jobs.
Deficits went up.
We tried their ideas.
They didn't work.
The economy didn't grow.
Not as many jobs and the deficit went up.
But here's the thing.
Governor Romney is a very talented salesman.
And in this campaign, he's tried as hard as he can to repackage the same old bad ideas and make them out to be new ideas and try to convince you that he's all about change.
Listen, we know what change looks like, Madison.
See, this is another thing.
When you listen to Romney speak at one of his rallies, it's wholesome.
It's uplifting.
He recites what Obama's saying, but he does so in a respectful way.
He's not nitpicking and he's not snarky.
Romney is looking and acting already presidential.
Obama is just small and just snarky and tiny even.
But folks, this is literally delusional.
This is worthy of men in the white coats.
We tried our ideas.
They worked.
The economy grew.
We created jobs.
Deficits went down.
That's delusional.
The economy has not grown.
We are losing jobs left and right.
The labor force participates.
You know all this.
Deficits went down.
You know, not even his supporters believe this.
His supporters know the truth.
It's just that they think Obama's about fairness.
Obama's about taking away from everybody and given to them, but they know that the deficit's going up.
They know the national debt's going up.
They just don't care.
But Obama is coming out.
I don't know how else to describe this.
Which Obama idea has worked?
Stimulus?
Obamacare?
Green energy?
Arab Spring?
Name one.
What Obama idea has worked?
What deficit, any deficit, name for what has come down?
The national debt has had almost $6 trillion added to it.
That's done by way of a deficit every year that is over a trillion dollars.
We never had trillion-dollar annual deficits until Obama.
One of Bush's last deficits was a mere $257 billion.
This deeply concerns me.
So I know politicians lie, and I know they want to put a good spin on everything.
But this, folks, is this I'm tongue-tied.
I really don't know how to.
This is not just political lying.
This isn't trying to pull wool over people.
Nobody in this country thinks right now the economy is working.
That's not why Obama's supporters support him.
It's not because his ideas are working.
They support him, A, because he's a Democrat, B, because he's a liberal.
C, because they hate conservatives.
D, because they hate Republicans.
Because they think everybody else owes them something, but they don't support Obama because they think his stuff is working.
I mean, that's a hell of a thing to try on your own people.
Am I making too big a deal out of this?
Cash for clunkers, did that work?
Cash for caulkers, did that work?
Shovel-ready jobs, did that work?
Jobs Council, did that work?
Deficit Reduction Committee Commission, did that work?
We don't know.
He didn't try it.
There isn't a single Obama idea that has worked.
What?
Oh, that's right.
He killed Bin Laden and saved General Motors.
Right, right, right, right, right.
Anyway, this is something really, really wrong here, folks.
This is final day of campaigning.
This is your big swing state blitz.
This is where you go out and make the best case for yourself that you can.
After four years of Obama's presidency, he is campaigning as though it never happened.
I wonder if he knows what he's saying.
It's on the prompter.
I wonder if he really knows what he's saying.
I wonder if he believes what he's saying.
He went down to that Univision show, and I tell you, that did not go well as we chronicled at the time.
Is immigration idea?
Did that work?
They don't fast and furious.
Did that work?
Did his national security plan in Benghazi work?
He's being heckled out there, dragging his hecklers off in handcuffs.
They're hecklers at Obama's campaign appearances.
Play the first half of this again.
Grab 34 again.
I want you to hear this.
When he starts talking about Governor Romney, you can go out of it and hit the break.
But I just want to hear this one more time.
We tried our ideas.
They worked.
The economy grew.
We created jobs.
Deficits went down.
We tried their ideas.
They didn't work.
The economy didn't grow.
Not as many jobs.
The deficit went up.
Okay, we're back into the phones.
We go to Woodbridge, Virginia.
Hi, Melissa.
It's great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Hey, Rush.
Thank you so much for taking my call.
I'm excited to talk to you today.
My husband's been a longtime listener, and I have just started listening in the last few months.
Well, welcome.
Great to have you here.
Listen, Rush, I'm excited to vote tomorrow.
I'm a military spout.
I'm a brand new citizen, and I get to vote tomorrow for the first time.
And I'm pumped about that.
I think Romney's a great candidate, and I've got a bunch of reasons to tell you why.
Okay, go right ahead.
First of all, I'm one of the many women out there who is insulted by the Democratic campaign.
All of the things that you've been saying this afternoon are just like, yep, check on that box, check on that box.
From what I've seen, Mitt hasn't been petty or snarky or pedantic.
I'm tired of Obama lecturing to me, telling me how I should live.
It's just not cool.
I'm also really glad that Romney has real business experience.
You know, I work two jobs to pay my bills and save for things like laptops and vacations, and I don't get to print money like Obama has been doing for the last four years.
So he needs to go.
Let me tell you something.
Last week or the week before, I forget which, I had a caller here from Colorado who was talking about a Romney rally out there.
And I offered her her choice of prizes for my prize clause.
She says, no, save it for a military family.
And that's you.
And so she was right.
It was a great idea.
And I want to give you your choice.
Here's what you can choose from because you really need it.
And we in the country owe all of you in the military a debt that we'll never be able to really pay.
We owe you gratitude.
It's difficult to express.
It's just a little something, but you can mention laptop.
I've got the best Apple laptop, best computer ever made right now, the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, or you can have a new iPhone 5.
You can have a new iPad or an iPad mini.
Oh, my goodness.
Well, my laptop died.
Well, then, you got a new one.
Now, it's a Mac.
Do you know how to use a Mac?
Yeah, I've been coveting a Mac for a while.
Well, then you now, we're going to FedEx it to you.
You'll have it tomorrow.
And I'm going to throw in one of these little iPad minis for you, too.
Rush, you're going to make me cry here.
These are cute little things.
You can hold it in one hand.
It's just like an iPad.
It's just a mini.
And I played with mine over the weekend, and it really is fun.
It's cute.
So you'll have everything covered with these two things.
But seriously, thank you very much.
It's great to have you in the audience.
And your take on this is extremely valuable.
Your take on Romney's business acumen and experience is really crucial.
Well, also, Rush, I mean, I grew up in Canada.
I know what universal health care is like, and it's not the panacea that everybody makes it out to be.
Well, you know, and with the Benghazi part, my husband's a naval aviator.
Like, as I was saying, he served multiple times overseas.
If we're not going to go in and defend our ambassadors, what message are we sending?
Oh, exactly.
That is just, that whole episode is shocking in its incompetence, the lying, the cover-up, the it's just, it's, it's, this administration gives us nowhere near the best this country has to offer.
This country will not, cannot be the best, led by this man, because he doesn't believe in that concept.
He doesn't believe in America as the best.
He believes in America that's guilty, America that must pay for some of the excesses it has engaged in.
Melissa, thanks for the call.
I want you to hang on so that Mr. Snerdley can get your shipping address.
Make sure it's a FedEx address.
That's what we use.
And we'll have your iPad mini.
It's Wi-Fi only, but that's cool.
They don't have the cellular versions out yet.
And your MacBook Pro 15-inch retina.
It's Melissa in Woodbridge, Virginia, Portage, Wisconsin.
Hello, Don.
Great to have you here.
Hello, sir.
Yeah, no, thanks for taking my call.
I've been a longtime listener.
I was a Clinton voter the first time around, and then I ran team in a semi-truck, and my partner always listened to you, and I would get up and argue with you over the phone, and eventually I was converted over.
This past year, my wife has never voted.
She never was involved in politics of any kind.
It bordered.
We were on vacation and it was the week of the vice presidential debate and the weather was bad and we were stuck in a cabin in northern Wisconsin.
I was listening to Rush all the time.
She started listening to you.
And she watched the debate and she was up off the couch and yelling at the TV and she got involved and now she listens to Rush every day.
So she's listening now.
And I just wanted to thank you for that.
I was the liberal with the typical arguments of, you know, show me the smoking gun.
I understand.
I understand.
Anyway, I just want to thank you.
And she's so excited.
She listens to you now on a daily basis.
I can't tell you.
I can't tell you what a great end to the program that you have provided.
I'm going to send you an iPad too, or a computer.
Tell Snurdy what you want.
In the meantime, we'll be back and wrap it up here after this.
Don't go away.
Okay, folks, that's it for today here at the EIB Network.
But as you no doubt know, we'll be here tomorrow.
And whatever happens between now and then, we'll have the latest and the best to be on top of it.
