Time Text
Now they say she's like 33, 34.
She looks 40 or 45 to me.
But I mean, that's just me.
Greetings, folks.
Great to have.
No, no, no, no.
Snerdley's asking if it's somebody on TV.
I'm not going to say who it is.
It's not fair.
Great.
Great to have you back here.
800-282-2882.
You want to be on the program to email address Lrushball at EIBNet.com.
Fastest three hours of the media.
Folks, I got a couple of book recommendations for you.
I told you about one of them the other day.
Megan Kelly's husband, Douglas Brunt, B-R-U-N-T, has got a his first novel.
And I've been reading it, haven't finished it.
It's fun.
It's his first book.
He's one of these guys that always wanted to be a writer.
He's a CEO of an internet security company.
Name of the book is Ghosts of Manhattan.
And there's another book with the same title that came out earlier this year by some other dude.
You don't want, well, I don't know not recommend it, but the one I'm talking about, Ghost of Manhattan, is uh, and we'll link to it at rushlimbaugh.com.
It's got a blue cover, and it's it's uh it's a novel about Wall Street before the crash and uh central figure there, and it's uh it's a novel form telling what happened, the kind of people involved.
And it's good.
I I'm I'm I don't mean to sound surprised good.
It's pleasantly good.
It's fun.
I'm really getting a kick out of reading it.
And it doesn't, it doesn't hurt that I know Doug.
And uh and I'm the full disclosure, uh I know Doug and Megan, and everybody needs a little boost, and this is worth it.
If you like escape reading, just novel type reading, this is uh it's fun.
And you'll recognize people, not that you know, but the character portrayal.
We all know people like these in this book.
The couple that invite you to dinner that you wish you didn't go, you know you shouldn't go.
You get there, and it's an absolute disaster.
But this is funny.
It's humorous.
And then Steve Moore, Steve Moore, the Wall Street Journal.
You see him on Fox regularly.
He's one of their contributors.
He has a little book here.
This is not tough sledding at all.
It's called Who's the Fairest of Them All.
The Truth About Opportunity Taxes and Wealth in America.
And this is such a demagogued issue.
And in a very small, simple, concise presentation, Mr. Moore has provided ammo for anybody who wants it to explain to anybody else how tax policy can create wealth for everybody.
It's no more complicated than that, and how we had better get serious about creating wealth as well as creating jobs, you know, not just jobs, but jobs that pay well, that create more taxpayers, that creates more tax revenue, which reduces deficits.
This is all supply side, they call it trickle down, they try to demonize it.
You know it, but I it's a great little book to have.
I'm holding it right here.
You can hold it one hand like an iPhone.
It's bigger than an iPhone, but you can it's called Who's the Fairest of Them All.
Stephen Moore, S-T-E-P-H-E-N.
The truth about opportunity taxes and wealth in America.
And of course, Ann Coulter's.
You know what?
If I love to issue a challenge.
I interviewed her yesterday for the next issue of the Limbaugh Letter, which by the way is now available as an app.
Yes, we've gone digital with the Limbaugh Letter.
Search the app store Limbaughter.
It's uh Apple, Android, Amazon, Google, Kendall, you name it.
Everything on it is free till the end of the year.
Got some back issues there for you to see.
The current interview is with uh Mia Love from Utah.
Ann Coulter's the next interview.
I told her it'd be great to have every black American read your book, because her book is about how white liberals have destroyed black America.
Uh things you've heard we've discussed on the program, but again, there it is in book forms.
Actually, three books.
Anne's book Mugged, Steve Moore's book, Who's the Fairest of Them All, and Doug Brunt, if you just want to read a really fun escapist novel about Wall Street and the kind of people that are there and what was going on before the crash, ghosts of Manhattan.
Now I want to go back and play our montage that we led the program with yesterday, Obama and all the others, including Obama here at the UN, lying to everybody all over the world about the fact that a video was responsible for a protest when they knew that it wasn't.
They knew, folks, it didn't even take them 24 hours to know.
They knew immediately no video was responsible for this.
And there was no spontaneous protest.
It was a terror attack.
But you see, in Obama's world, America's always to blame.
It's America's fault when stuff happens.
So it has to be the video.
It couldn't be Al Qaeda because he vanquished Al Qaeda, you see.
When he killed Osama, he killed Al Qaeda.
He can't have.
Plus, they had just how many what how many times, 32 times did they did they uh spike the football on Osama being dead at the convention.
I kill Osama.
I did it, I'll pull a trigger.
I came off the Gulf.
Of course they showed me the wife or a gribbed, I said, no, dead.
All over the convention.
And these protesters in Cairo were out shot, we're all Osama's Obama.
If anybody's responsible for this, it's Obama.
So here's our montage.
And then we're gonna let you hear Trey Gowdy from the House Oversight Government Reform Committee, and their hearing yesterday of State Department people.
I don't care how offensive this video was, and it was terribly offensive.
And we should shun it.
This video is disgusting and reprehensible.
It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage.
Stop taping recueal.
She sounds like she's on Sesame Street talking to Big Black.
We're all two years old.
Here, here, play it again.
I don't care how offensive this video was, and it was terribly offensive.
And we should shun it.
This video is disgusting and reprehensible.
It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage.
Let's be clear.
These protests were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region.
You had a video that was released by somebody who lives here, sort of a shadowy character who is extremely offensive video.
The unrest we've seen has been in reaction to a video.
It was a crude and disgusting video, sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.
It was a spontaneous, not a premeditated response, a direct result of a heinous and offensive video.
I know there are some who ask, why don't we just ban such a video?
And the answer is enshrined in our laws.
Our constitution protects the right to practice free speech.
That's Barry at the UN.
And all of that, folks, is just a lie.
It's not, they weren't wrong, they were purposefully lying.
So yesterday, State Department came up after the night before, admitting our intel there was no video that was responsible.
We had no intel on it.
And then there was no protest.
The State Department ended up throwing Obama and Hillary, everybody under the bus on Tuesday night.
Yesterday they went up there to testify.
Trey Gowdy, South Carolina, Republican, was on fire.
I would like to have another hearing where we can ask Ambassador Rice under oath who told you what when.
You're gonna blame the Intelligence Committee.
You come before this committee and you tell us who told you it was a video.
Who in the intelligence community said it?
Who in the diplomatic community blamed this on a video?
And then he went after Jake Carney.
Then we moved to Jay Carney, who's the spokesperson for the leader of the free world.
This is what he said, Mr. Chairman.
I'm saying based on information that we, our initial information that includes all information.
We saw no evidence to back up claims by others that this was a pre-planned or premeditated attack.
What we saw was evidence that it was sparked by their reaction to this video.
And that is what we know thus far based on evidence, concrete evidence, close quote.
When I hear the phrase concrete evidence, it means something to me.
That's even stronger language than simply saying something is In fact.
So two representatives of this administration gave demonstrably false statements, not just to us, but to our fellow citizens on national television.
And in the next bite, Trey Gowdy gets a little emotional about the people who were killed and demands to know why we were lied to.
We want our questions answered, and I want them answered by the people that went out before the American people and sought to mislead them by blaming this on a video when there is no evidence, concrete or otherwise, to support the assertions made by this administration.
There were four brave Americans who died under circumstances that we can scarcely fathom.
The terror, the fear, the anarchy of being killed in that fashion.
They did what their country asked them to do.
They stood post under dangerous circumstances even after requests for security were denied.
They stood their post.
The least we can do is stay in this meager post that we've been assigned and demand that this administration speak the truth to the people it's supposed to serve.
This was never about a video.
It was never spontaneous.
This is terror.
And I want to know why we were lied to.
Trey Gowdy, South Carolina, dead on.
Exactly right.
It was terror, and why were we lied to?
And of course, Axelrod and Jay Carney today have both said, well, you know, it's risky in that part of the world.
You go over there and you represent the United States, you've got to know it's risky.
You gotta be prepared to get killed.
You gotta be prepared, risky place to be.
I thought Obama had made it safe.
I thought the Arab Spring was turning this place into a new Democrat playground.
No, it's a risky place, Mr. Oh, so it's America's fault then.
Is that what it is?
That's what they're telling us.
It's America's fault.
It's America's fault because America's hated.
And it's America's fault that America's hated, and that's why it's risky over there.
Quick timeout.
We'll be back and continue with much more.
Don't go away.
Ladies and gentlemen, just a brief question here.
You remember when the latest Batman movie came out?
Was it Dark Knight Rises?
In Colorado, a guy shows up and shoots up the theater.
And there were people that died in that episode, right?
Um did Obama and the media blame the film.
Did they blame the filmmaker?
And if there was a connection to the film that you can make a great case that this wacko was affected by the movie.
I wonder what would have happened if Obama would have said in the aftermath of that incident that the that the video, the movie, the film, was responsible.
The filmmaker.
Because those are his Hollywood buddies.
Now remember what they did?
They tried to find that the guy was a member of the Tea Party.
Brian Ross says, Yeah, I guess guy's a member of the Tea Party was wrong.
They were trying to find the guy that shot up the theater in Aurora, Colorado was a conservative.
And that's the exact case they were trying to make with the filmmaker of this uh video that supposedly makes fun of the Prophet Muhammad.
Just a little question.
Just a little observation.
I'm not trying to stir anything up.
No, nothing's I'm just I'm just trying to point out the hypocrisy and the lack of consistency consistency with these people.
Even after everybody knows it's not a video, they keep blaming it on it.
Then in an instance where a video, a movie might have actually, or at least the characters in the movie might have had some impact.
Oh, no, no.
Could not have, oh, never, never, never.
The person responsible is the Tea Party.
No, it wasn't a tea.
Whoa, okay, well, if what a Tea Party had to be a conservative, no, no, one of Conservative.
You sure it wasn't payment?
No, no, no, it wasn't paying.
Well, then it then it uh uh I guess it just had to be the guy that pulled the trigger.
Yeah, after it takes them two weeks to get there.
Here's uh Teresa in Goshen, Kentucky.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Rush, it's a pleasure to be on the radio with you.
I'm uh a twenty-three year follower.
In fact, my husband and I, retired military celebrate our anniversary uh the same time as you celebrate your anniversary.
So we're proud to know you.
Thank you very much.
In fact, I had two sons and son-in-law in the military.
They retired.
And what really got to me, as I think about my 15-year-old daughter that I'm going to go pick up from school, she's 15, and I think about this mom here, Pat Smith, saying, I had him for 17 years and turned him over to you.
And that really got me because I just want to know which one of the Democrats is going to stand out, come out outside the party, and say, you know what, this is wrong, this will not do.
Which one will have the decency, the integrity, and will tell us the truth and go against the party line?
Which one rush?
When is it going to happen?
This party, and I'm not a Democrat, this party is dying because of lack of integrity and decency and the crassness that this president showed when those coffins arrived here and went to their homelands that same day while he attended a campaign party that evening or that very next day.
Has he no decency?
We've got military that are fighting with one arm behind their back.
You have misinterpreted, Teresa.
Obama, he gave a eulogy next to the caskets, and he looked like he really cared.
And he called the ambassador by his first name.
They were close buddies.
Chris died, you know, Chris died doing what he wanted.
Chris, peace corps and all that.
And I'm sure Obama thought after that that nobody could have done any better.
Nobody could have shown more compassion.
Nobody could have shown more empathy.
Okay, mission accomplished.
Now head to Vegas.
Okay.
Okay.
then to Jay Z. And then when he finished I'm gonna go see Letterman and all the while Obama's telling himself everybody loves him that nobody you know Harry I have a gift nobody could do better not to do these you things nobody I know it's it's um yeah he we have to listen to Obama and Michelle talk to us all the time how much they love the military but I agree with you when Pat Smith said uh I had it for 17 years and
and I turn him over to you.
That's exactly how it's looked at, isn't it?
I mean, the American government is considered to be trustworthy, and every step necessary to protect uniformed military personnel in combat is taken.
That's the assumption.
Knowing full well that things go wrong, but that's the assumption.
But you don't expect to be lied to.
Over and over again, particularly when everybody knows it's a lie.
So I understand how it hit you.
It hit me the same way.
I just don't understand.
I mean, her voice and the way that she said that, it meant it really spoke to me.
Like I said, I have a 15-year-old daughter and two kids that have retired from the military.
I don't understand how they could be so crass and unfeeling.
They don't think they are.
They think they are the most feeling and the most compassionate.
the most empathetic by the way for the Democrats left the hearing yesterday after just a couple hours the House government reform oversight committee they left.
They didn't want to hear the truth they didn't want to have to be there when the truth was being told they didn't want their faces on TV when the truth is being told they want to know part of it.
You're right in questioning what happened to this party what has become of it there are answers but I appreciate the call Teresa thanks much Scott Black Mountain North Carolina hi great to have you on the EIB network.
Thank you Rogan um proud to talk to you.
And I'm someone who's done a little bit of everything.
I'm a former journalist and I'm disgusted.
Um by the way that that journalism has turned out.
I'm a former teacher who was strong armed into joining the union and I'm embarrassed about that.
And now I'm a small business owner.
But what really bothers me about everything that's going on right now in the media, when are we going to talk about the fact that an American citizen who exercised his first amendment right was awakened in the middle of the night and arrested so that this administration could carry on with their their tale that this was a video that caused all of this disgrace, destruction and death.
Uh about that, I'm looking to see if I kept it there is a I didn't there is a story today, Scott, and I forget what newspaper it might be the Los Angeles Times but I'm not sure there is a story about the filmmaker still in jail and what a creep he is I don't know about bread and water but they've got him in jail.
They talk about what a fraud he is a parole violator bank fraud.
It's a uh it's a story that exists for the express purpose of justifying the fact that this guy was rousted out of his house at one thirty in the morning and jailed no bail because of this video.
Just today.
Just today, since you bring it up.
There's no outrage over this.
The media has a story talking about how justifiable the action was to put this guy away.
I don't believe what I just saw.
What did Obama do to tick off CNN?
You know, CNN just ran their own montage that we've been running since yesterday with all of the administration people saying it was a video.
The video.
up the Middle East video.
They had Panetta they had Obama they had uh Susan Rice they're running their own video now they're asking Stephanie Cutter about it.
who obviously is lying and saying nobody saw what they just saw.
CNN's been on their case.
CNN went in there, by the way.
CNN went to the site, and they found the ambassador's diary.
After four days, the administration had not taken step one to secure that consulate where this happened, the scene.
CNN had a reporter over there, and four days after the fact, went in and found the ambassador's diary.
then they they published some of it and that ticked off the regime.
The regime got mad that they didn't give the diary back to the regime that CNN kept it and then reported what was in it.
And ever since then they put Pat Smith on the mother of the uh uh seal that was killed now they've got running this montage make no mistake CNN have a big audience but it's mainstream media there are people that watch CNN and nothing else and you can't overestimate the advantage Obama has with the media in his in his pocket you can't overestimate it.
It's huge it's a huge advantage even if their monopoly is gone even if they don't have the size audience they used to have it's still a huge benefit for him.
And here's I don't know if it's a total turner but that this is unreal for this to be happening five weeks, four weeks before the election here's Donna in Des Moines, Iowa.
Donna thank you for waiting.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hi.
Hi Professor Limbaugh how are you?
Well I'm doing pretty well today thank you.
Me too I've been attending your campus for years uh my sister in Colorado and I we take notes and then after the show if it's worthy of discussion we get on the phone and we chew it all over again and what do you mean if oh well it is it all no if we have the time.
Ah yes.
Ah good good good recovery there.
Yes, thank you.
Okay.
I we were on the phone earlier talking about class topics, and I keep seeing that person that they arrested, and he comes out, he or she, because as far as we know, it could be Michelle My Bell in that outfit, and completely every s every piece of skin but the eyeballs are covered.
Now I I go into that.
Well, d no, wait, do you know why?
He he did that himself.
He doesn't want his face out there.
But is it really who did the film is my question?
Oh, is it really well?
They go in with guns and and whatever and he negotiates.
Oh, wait, can I put a coat on?
Oh, wait, can I put a scarf on?
Oh, wait, wait, let me get my hat.
Oh, before you put those handcuffs on, can I put my gloves on first?
I mean, how did that all go down?
Well, uh, what is your point here?
I don't think that was a video filmmaker.
Well, who is it?
I mean it could be anybody, just so they arrested someone just so well the problem is he's got a name and he's got a lawyer.
Oh, okay.
His name is his name is Nakula in a K-O-U-L-A.
He's a Coptic Christian.
And uh the story that I have about him, he actually he's he he's being held in solitary protective custody, and he and his lawyer went in, his lawyer asked for him to be released into the general population of the jail or prison wherever he is, and they were told no.
The judge said he could not lift the protective custody.
It's a federal thing.
Huh.
It's a even though the sheriff's department out there is who went and rounded him up, this is a federal thing.
Judge a woman, actually, not that that matters, but just telling you.
Um but the he was in court yesterday, he asked to join the general population, he being held in protective custody, and his uh his attorney is being quoted in the uh LA Times as saying my client was not the cause of the violence in the Middle East.
Clearly it was pre-planned, but that had no uh impact on the court.
Okay.
Will we see him in a pro you know, like in a hearing eventually.
Okay.
I doubt it.
So you're suspicious.
You think they might just have rounded somebody up just to say they did it.
And that whoever's in there is in there under totally false charges?
Yes.
And it's a real filmmaker still on the lamb.
Or why would they not want the real filmmaker?
I don't know.
And I don't know, you know, I I have you seen the film?
No.
Me neither.
Have we seen pieces of the film?
I have not.
I haven't cared to.
I know it's B.S. I don't know the whole thing's a lie.
Right.
I know it was up in June, and at some point in June it had nineteen views.
Okay.
It was on YouTube.
It had nineteen views.
It's I don't even know.
I had never heard about it.
No.
Until the Benghazi thing happened.
And the and the regime started talking about it.
I'd never I'd never even heard of it.
So then I started working backwards, and I found out that it dated back to June or July, something like that.
Um, are you thinking somebody in the regime might be behind the movie?
No.
I just think they it was another way to to make them look legitimate to make the the accusations that it was all because of a film.
Well, they're still trying to make that.
I from what I understand uh Donna the uh filmmaker himself dressed himself in that way because he doesn't want to be recognized once this is over.
Do you realize this guy is a target for the rest of his life now?
You gotta the president of the United States is blaming countless acts of terrorism which resulted in death on this guy.
Stop and think of the power of that.
Stop and think of the of the consequences of that.
One guy is being laid bare here.
One guy being held responsible.
This man had better get some plastic surgery, and he'd better ask for witness protection.
Because if it's if it's ever widely disseminated who he is, what he looks like, he's finished.
I mean, this is this is all of these things have consequences.
Obama just talking about this in the abstract.
It was like everything else, the unemployment number or whatever economic number, there are real people's lives being affected by all this.
In fact, the Pakistani.
Prime Minister or some minister has offered a bounty on the filmmaker.
It's almost like he played for the Packers or the Saints.
And they had a game against the Saints.
There's a bounty on the guy.
Pakistan.
I think there are two bounties out of Pakistan now.
A bounty on this guy.
And that's all that's all Obama.
Obama, Susan Rice, Hillary.
This is an American citizen.
It's a Coptic Christian.
Made a movie that nobody has seen.
So I don't blame him for not wanting to be recognized.
Yeah, this Stephanie Cutter, who is the official spokesman for the Obama campaign, said that the only reason that Benghazi is an issue is because of Ryan and Romney.
And if Romney hadn't gone out and shot first and aimed later, if he hadn't made those silly statements, nobody would be talking about this.
Way they make it an issue.
Ryan and Romney made Benghazi the issue.
No, no, the real question is who thought up this video defense?
Where did this come from?
Nobody had ever seen this video.
So who came up with the idea to blame it?
Where did this start?
That's the great unanswered question to me.
We just hear the president say, well, there's a video, and it's a very humiliating.
What who came up with this idea?
Whose idea was it to blame the video?
And who heard about it?
Who knew that it existed?
How long did they know it existed?
Were they waiting for the right moment to use it?
You know, we just accept here that there was a video out there.
Our last caller should be basically saying, how do we know this guy's the actual filmmaker and not some actor they dressed up to carry this thing out?
I understand where she's coming from.
Who thought up the video excuse in the first place?
And who knew about it?
A lot of questions about it.
Now, if the filmmaker is really, really, really convinced that he's in danger and doesn't want to be recognized, he should apply for a show at MSNBC.
He will never be seen.
Nobody will ever know who he is.
Bob in Crossville, Tennessee.
Folks, it's not Snerdley loves calls from the South.
We do get calls from other states.
He says he loves the South.
He loves them, loves the accents.
This is Bob in Tennessee.
Bob, hi.
Hi, Russia.
I'm not originally from Tennessee, was with you from day one in WABC in New York.
Oh, so you fled.
Yeah, I fled.
Like you.
Yes.
Yes, I hear you.
I'm reading and hearing this commentary about how old Joe is such a great debater.
And my recollection of 2008 vice presidential debate is not that Joe demolished Sarah Palin.
He didn't.
I I think it went the other way.
Yeah, I saw your call up there and your question.
Uh, do you recall Biden beating Sarah Payton?
I don't.
I don't.
Drudge's headline is America's favorite punchline with a picture of Biden.
Look, I told you earlier what Biden's gonna do.
I don't have time to tell you again, but you know I'm right.
Go back and research it.
We'll be right back.
Okay, folks, we got the vice presidential debate tonight and the Steelers at the Tennessee Titans on the NFL network.
So something gets DVR.
We will be back here tomorrow.
Open line Friday.
Can't wait.
We'll see you then.
