Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24 7 Podcast.
You know what I was told earlier today and actually last night, but mostly this morning.
I was so rush.
You gotta be really on your game today because there are gonna be a lot of people tuning into you today to find out what's what, and a lot of independents rush are gonna be tuning into you.
You're the only guy who nobody knows his thoughts.
Everybody else was all over TV and Twitter last night, but nobody knows what you think.
You may have the largest audience you've had in a long time, or maybe a lot of independents in there.
Yeah, I know all that.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
Leadings, my friends, great to have you here.
It is Open Line Friday, and I am happy to be your host.
It's a thrill and delight to be here with you each and every day.
Open line Friday, we change the rules a bit on callers.
Monday through Thursday, you have to talk about something I'm interested in, or you don't get on the air.
On Friday doesn't matter.
Whatever you want to talk about is what we talk about, whether I care about it or not.
So here's the the number again.
It's 800-282-2882, the email address, El Rushbo at EIB net.com.
Did you ever think you ever think in your lifetime you would ever see an angry white old guy be so popular with the news media and when the American left?
I thought they didn't like angry white guys.
They happen to love Joe Biden, an angry white guy.
For those of you who are tuning in to find out if there's anything different here than what you have heard elsewhere, I don't know because I haven't purposely spent much time listening to what other people think.
I seldom do that because I don't want to be accused of mimicking or copying anybody.
But I just have to tell you something.
I am aware that the consensus opinion seems to be that Biden was mean, rude, disrespectful.
What I want to say to you is that the Joe Biden that you saw last night is the Democrat Party.
It's the modern Democrat Party, particularly the last twelve years, is who they are.
Chris Matthews on MSNBC after the Romney Obama debate, so we need an MSNBC debate.
That's what they got last night.
I mean, the the Democrat Party is rude, it is disrespectful.
I kept thinking last night, what are the independents thinking watching this?
Because we're told the independents don't like all that.
We're told that women and independents don't like shouting and being rude and disrespectful and so forth.
And I'm I'm here to tell you I I think there are two things that happened last night.
Biden did exactly what was desired.
And in the process, hurt himself and Obama.
His job was to go out there and excite the base.
His job is to go out there and get them revved up.
They were livid.
They were ticked off because Obama didn't do diddly squat in the first debate.
They were mad because Obama basically stood there like a statue.
The Democrat Party, for those of you who are uh casual participants in all, Democrat Party is a very mean-spirited extreme Biden personified what we've been dealing with for twelve years, ever since uh Bush Gore, ever since the 2000 election and the recount aftermath.
This is who they've been.
I thought it was great.
They came out of their show.
No none of this so-called uh compassion and understanding.
And Obama or Biden's express purpose was to go out there and get that base revved up, and what does that base want?
That base wants blood.
The base wants rude.
The base wants disrespect.
The Democrat Base is made up of people who literally hate Republicans.
Biden gave them exactly what they wanted.
In the process, he didn't help Obama and he didn't help himself with the electorate at large.
The debate isn't going to matter terms of polls.
In fact, the polling data for Obama, it's continuing to get worse.
You met Suffolk County polling unit, there's a Suffolk University polling unit that's pulled out of Virginia and Florida and North Carolina.
They've got Romney up 51 points in Florida and Virginia, up over Obama by seven.
They were right to pull out.
North Carolina, pretty much going to be the same thing.
Real clear politics says Obama has a lock on seven states.
Seven states is all Obama has a lock on right now.
But back to Biden.
Biden's behavior last night, I can't emphasize this enough.
Those of you who are regular listeners to the program, bear with me here.
You know all this, but I am specifically addressing those who um may be tuning in here for the first time in a while or the first time ever.
And I'm relishing this opportunity to tell you truthfully and honestly what you saw last night.
If you don't pay much attention to politics, if this is uh, you know, October, every four years is when you start to get interested.
You don't see that Joe Biden on NBC, CBS, NBC, uh, CNN.
You don't see it.
You don't see it reflected in the New York Times, the Washington Post, but that Joe Biden was the Democrat Party that we're all dealing with for the past 12 years.
Maybe not Obama in terms of personality and character, but governance, dealing with Republicans, uh in the street.
I mean, Biden was no different than an SEIU official beating up a black conservative at town hall meeting in St. Louis, who was no different than that.
I mean, he didn't hit anybody with his fist last night, but he was rude, overbearing.
You know what I think?
Uh there was the the usual.
Well, if you saw it on TV, it was one thing, if you heard it on radio is another, if you read it, it was another thing.
People who saw this on TV, I'm gonna tell you what they're gonna come away with.
They'll kind of come away with the conclusion that Paul Ryan was a son who's a little embarrassed of his father, and is trying to tell his father how out of step his father has become.
He was trying to do it with respect.
He was trying to do it without offending or embarrassing his dad.
But he was trying to tell his dad the world is passed him by.
His dad was the blustery old guy.
If his dad was the guy that walks into the bar, braggadocious and so forth.
Martha Raditz was the bartender in this analogy.
Now, why don't be surprised at Rabbit's.
I mean, I can play you the sound.
Here, play, grab soundbite number two.
I told you Raditz was gonna behave as she did.
It was in the cards.
It was predictable.
Ryan knew it.
It isn't an excuse.
You can get mad and you can say it was unfair, but believe me, everybody else saw that it was unfair.
Everybody else saw that it was rude.
Everybody else saw this as a stack deck.
Everybody saw it the way you did.
Except the Democrat underground types and the Democrat bloggers, they didn't see it.
They looked at it.
This was get even for what happened in the Romney Obama debate.
They were salivating for that.
They're making a mistake of thinking Biden's performance is gonna somehow change the direction the election's going.
It's not.
Because Biden didn't tell the truth about anything.
Particularly about Libya.
Particularly about security, particularly about the wars that he voted for that he claimed he didn't.
He voted for both Afghanistan and Iraq.
He claimed that he and Obama weren't told that there were requests for additional security in Libya.
But that misses the whole point.
I'm gonna start from square one on this Libya business, because these guys, Obama, Biden, the media, the Democrats, have totally bollocks this.
They have they have misjudged it because of their worldview and their incompetence.
They are placing this nation at risk all over the world with their incompetence and their liberal worldview.
But Biden didn't tell much of the truth last night, in addition to everything else.
Some of you might wish that Ryan would have been feistier and not let them run all over him and all that.
My my guess is that he doesn't debate much, might have been under orders.
Look, let's just get through this thing.
Let Biden be who we know he's going to be.
And realize you're in a two-it against two and against one situation and deal with the best you can.
And in the process, you saw.
You saw a man who couldn't tell the truth, a man who would not shut up, a mean spirited, rude, overbearing, disrespectful.
Vice President of the United States who epitomizes and epitomized the Democrat Party today.
Joe Biden is who they are.
We deal with them every day.
We've dealt with them for 12 years.
In my case, personally, they're not nice people, contrary to their branding and contrary to their image.
You saw Biden.
That's who he is.
I didn't tell you that's who Biden was going to be and he is.
You saw Biden for yourself.
Now here, this is what I said about Martha Rannitz.
This was uh Wednesday, predicting what she was going to do as moderator of the debate.
Her job is going to be to make sure that Ryan doesn't run roughshod, that Ryan doesn't get away with speaking longer than the rules permit, all this kind of stuff.
I'll tell you, the left and the others in the media and the regime are gonna be really, really counting on Martha Raditz.
The moderator here is gonna be viewed just as important, if not more so than Biden.
You gotta make sure the balance remains in favor of Biden.
So it was predictable that she was gonna do that, and she did it.
I mean, you've seen the stats, how many interruptions, how many questions versus how many interruptions and questions for Biden.
It was clearly stacked, it was clearly unfair, and it was it was obvious to everybody.
If you thought it was unfair, you're not in a vacuum.
Everybody thought the same thing.
Even CNN, say Raditz was the third debater.
But I don't care where you go, folks.
You go to flash polls, the CNN poll.
I've got the internals in the CNN poll.
Biden didn't win anything.
Women hated Biden's behavior last night.
Women despised his disrespectful behavior.
Independence didn't like it either.
Lot of mercy, who the hell is this guy anyway?
What's he ever done?
He came across as the 35, 40-year-old or career Washingtonian.
One thing that bothered me, I just said the one thing that bothered me is that the whole night, Ryan was caricatured as the incumbent and Biden as the challenger.
Well, I'm talking about all this economic mess.
If you listen to Biden, it was caused by Romney and Ryan.
When in fact, Biden owns it.
Obama owns it.
Anyway, I need to take a brief time out.
It is open line Friday.
We got a ton of sound bites today.
Ryan got some things in that were that were shouted over and talked over and made fun of.
He cited Jack Kennedy and his economic club speech New York 1962 for tax cuts.
We've played those sound bites for you on the show years ago.
You have heard those sound bites.
I have them ready to go again.
Biden stepped right into Oh, you're Jack Kennedy now, are you?
Oh, you're Jack Kennedy.
And and Biden said much closer much closer than you are.
And he was right.
But this Libya stuff, folks, and the lying on the security and what happened at Benghazi, this is big.
I mean, this is this is really serious stuff.
And Biden laughing at all of this.
He was laughing at people's economic circumstances.
He was laughing during discussion, serious discussion.
People who tune into this stuff three, four weeks before an election, this is when they take it seriously.
And they saw Biden laughing at all this, laughing at their economic circumstances, laughing at what had happened in Benghazi, laughing over everything that came up in the first hour of this debate.
He was trying to make it look like, ah, this poor young kid, no idea what he's talking about.
God, you believe what you're hearing, folks.
This guy, this little clown-looking guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Didn't come off that way.
It came off as rude, disrespectful, and in fact, uh, defensive.
Came off as though Biden himself was a little nervous, trying to cover up and not have to discuss a record that he and Obama own.
Anyway, sit tight, folks.
We're coming back much more right after this.
Do not go anywhere.
Open line Friday, Rush Limboy here on the cutting edge of societal evolution.
It was.
That was the real Joe Biden last night.
You know, folks, we we we we hear the political class all the time talking, and I'm including Republicans in this.
Republicans in the political class in Washington, in the media class, oh, that's all Joe.
Oh, Joe, yeah, how many times last night did you hear?
He's just such a nice guy.
He's not a nice guy.
He is a partisan liberal Democrat who's tried to destroy the career of Robert Bork.
He's tried to destroy the career of Clarence Thomas.
He is not a nice man.
He has mastered theatrics, which is what politics is today, but he's not a nice man.
This is the central theme to me, the Democrat Party.
They are not nice people.
I'm I'm really imploring those of you who don't pay attention to this much last night that Joe Biden you saw last night is the Democrat Party.
And actually, from further back than 2000, I just picked the year 2000, because I don't want to have to challenge your memory beyond that.
I've got to put a limit on it somewhere.
2000 is good as any place to start.
They went, they lost their minds after Bush versus Gore and the Supreme Court decision shutting down the fraudulent recount after recount after recount in the 2000 presidential popular vote.
They uh in Florida, they just lost their minds.
They have been consumed with hatred ever since.
Literal genuine hatred.
The way they treated, the way Biden treated Paul Ryan last night, is the way they treated George W. Bush for eight years.
I don't want to make this personal.
I've been treated this way by these people for 25 years.
This is who they are.
He's not good old nice old Joe that just crazy uncle and the aunt or all he is a partisan Democrat who has no compunction whatsoever, telling lies about decent, honorable people in the process of trying to destroy their careers.
Now I'm sorry, we Republicans do not do that.
When the Democrats nominate Supreme Court justices or circuit court judges or what have you, they generally get what they want.
It's very rare that we try to deny them.
And even when we do, it's not, we don't try to destroy this people.
We focus on their records.
Try to explain to people why they might not be good on the court.
These people try to destroy their enemies' lives.
They they they do everything they can to criminalize policy they disagree with.
So I I think that lesson is there to be learned if you want to.
Some of you may not want to accept what I'm saying, but I'm just Joe Biden last night is the Democrat Party.
Turn on any cable news network that's not Fox, and that's what you see.
Look at any typical liberal Democrat guest or commentator or analyst or consultant on Fox, and that's what you see.
With a couple of exceptions.
This is who they are.
They're mad, they're angry.
And especially last night, it was get even.
It was get even.
It was it was recaptured lost ground.
It was make sure the base gets fired up.
And how do you do that?
Give them a bunch of hatred and ret meat.
And that's what Biden did, because he knows how.
That's who he is.
It's open line Friday.
Views Express by the host on this program, still documented to be almost always right, 99.7% of the time.
Let's uh look at a little polling data.
Romney is now up seven in Virginia.
New poll from McLaughlin Associates, uh, which is uh highlighted at uh Breitbart, Romney up seven Virginia, eleven points with independence.
Real clear politics now has moved Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin to toss-up status.
From Lien's Obama, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Wisconsin to toss up status.
I know people live in Pennsylvania, they can't believe this.
Well, I know one guy lives in Pennsylvania who does believe it.
I know one guy who lives in Pennsylvania who thinks Romney's gonna win.
I know another guy who's from Pennsylvania who thinks it's not possible.
It doesn't matter.
Obama doesn't have it locked up.
He doesn't have Michigan locked up, he doesn't have New Hampshire or Wisconsin locked up.
They've moved to toss-up from leaning Obama.
Everything's moving away from Obama.
He's got seven states, including California and New York, that he has locked down, according to the real clear politics poll.
And it's the same in Florida.
Romney is up seven in Florida.
So the Suffolk University polling units pulled out of North Carolina, pulled out of Florida.
And real clear politics has not yet given those states to Romney.
They're waiting for other data.
And not that they should.
I'm just telling you, it's gonna happen.
It just it just hasn't happened yet.
But Suffolk University pulled out, and we're not gonna waste any money polling in Virginia, Florida, or North Carolina.
Those states are leaning Romney, or now they say gone for Obama.
And when you see here we are three weeks out, what is it, three weeks out?
We're looking uh Romney 51 points.
The magic 50% number has been hit by the challenger.
This is when the pollsters start telling you their stuff really is accurate and it really matters.
But I want to move from this, and there's other polling data to cite as well, but I want to move from this to something that we we spoke about yesterday quite extensively, and that is the security situation in our embassies, particularly in Libya and in Cairo.
Now, in the debate last night, Martha Raditz, just to get it out of the way, and just to show everybody she wasn't going to be the cheat that she turned out to be.
And let's make no mistake.
I mean, she cheated, which is okay.
We knew she was going to cheat.
We know she's a liberal Democrat.
We know she wants Biden to do well.
She know we know that she wants Ryden, uh Ryan to not do well.
So she cheated.
Okay, we knew that going in.
Ryan Romney knew it going in.
I'm sure it was part of their strategy.
But she throws that first question out to Biden.
What happened?
For crying out loud, you said it was a video, it wasn't a video, and so forth.
And then Biden started running with it.
Well, you ain't doing tell us about security.
They didn't tell us there was any increased security.
And I said, Joey, I didn't get that call.
Said, Joey, we need some more security here, pal.
They get that call.
I didn't know.
We didn't know.
Barack didn't know.
I didn't know.
And I'm standing up at the moment.
I've come out of my couch.
What do you mean you're blaming the Intel?
What do you mean you don't know?
This is something you guys are gonna fix.
I remember weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
I remember the Intel, worldwide Intel said Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.
It turned out that there weren't as many or any weapons of mass destruction, and people like Joe Biden and Barack Obama said, and you believe the Intel?
The Intel lied.
The Intel you made it up.
The Intel you forced them to give them what.
So back then the Intel was not allowed to be an explanation for something that went wrong today.
Oh hell, I'll dump on the CIA.
I'll dump on anybody.
I'll dump on anybody in the Intel community to save Barack's butt to save my butt.
I'm Joey.
I'm not going down the tubes in this debate, not with this little clown-looking kid sitting next to me.
So hell, I'll happily throw the intel.
I know Martha's not going to call me on it, and other media is not going to call me on it.
I'll be able to get away with dumping the intel.
The fact, do you believe they didn't know?
Do you believe they weren't told?
Do you believe this is this is so stunning to me.
Vice President Biden speaks only for himself and Barack Obama, and neither man was aware that U.S. officials in Libya had asked the State Department for more security before the September 11th attacks.
This is from a website, foreign policy or some such thing.
And it's it's all over the place.
From Breitbart, the Obama campaign struggling to respond to mounting criticism of Biden's bizarre behavior during the debate last night, claiming that he didn't know about additional security.
Requests.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Let's put some things in perspective here on this security business because these people are not going to get away with this on this program.
There was, there is a video that shows it was a coordinated jihadist assault.
There was a video.
Video from Eli Lake has this at the Daily Beast.
Video from Benghazi consulate shows organized attack.
Footage from the night of September 11th might be the clearest evidence yet of a military-style assault on the consulate in Benghazi.
Video footage at the consulate taken the night of September 11 shows an organized group of armed men attacking the compound, according to two U.S. Intel officials who have seen the footage and are involved in the ongoing investigation.
The footage, which was recovered from the site last week by the FBI, offers some of the most tangible evidence yet that a military-style assault took place, according to these officials.
You've got Biden and you've got Obama and the entire regime still blaming it on a video.
Even though the State Department earlier this week said that there was never any intel that it was a video.
There was never any intel that there were protests.
It's always been a coordinated, planned terror attack.
But for some reason, Obama and Biden couldn't allow that to be the story.
It had to be the video.
And they couldn't allow the story to be believed that there were requests, even though we know the ambassador himself asked for more security.
We know the consulate itself asked for more security.
There is no way...
there is Eli Lake, this video, this is game set match, folks, or what the Intel community knew.
The Intel community knew they had video from the consulate showing this attack.
They didn't have to wait until after the attack for there to be reports.
They had video.
Ergo, there is no way that they told Obama it was the movie.
Obama said it was the movie because the real cause of this disaster is his policy.
Our ambassador is dead because of his policy.
Three other Americans are dead because of his policy.
The uprisings in Cairo, the uprising in Benghazi, and the protested other American embassies happened because of Obama's policies.
If there is someone who said that this all happened because of a video, they should be telling us telling us exactly who that is.
Which they won't do, of course, because there isn't such a person.
The video was totally made up.
The video was totally made up.
And Biden is on this debate last night lying through his teeth about this, lying through his teeth about the fact that he didn't know that there was more security requested.
The truth of the matter is, when you have a terror attack on your embassy, you shouldn't have to wait for requests for enhanced additional security.
And it is certainly not competent, accomplished professional or presidential to go on national television and tell people the reason our ambassadors did.
Nobody told us there was a request for security.
Most presidents wouldn't have needed a request.
Most competent presidents would not have needed to be told.
Most competent presidents would have never attempted to lie and claim that a genuine terror attack was about a video made by an American nobody had ever heard of.
Most competent presidents would not have enshrined policies that are based on America's guilt in the world.
Do you know why there were no live bullets in the weaponry held by our Marines in Cairo or Benghazi?
Do you know why there was no enhanced arms secure?
Do you know why?
You want to know the real reason why?
You're gonna laugh, you're gonna cry, you're gonna think I'm making it up.
And I'm telling you I am not the reason we didn't have real bullets, the reason we didn't have kill orders, the reason we didn't have enhanced security, the reason we didn't have even a visible security deterrent is because the the thinking with people like Barack Obama is that if you don't show any strength.
If you don't display live ammo, if you don't act in a threatening way, then people will be nice to you.
I am not making this up.
I wish I were.
I wish I weren't talking about real life American liberals.
But this is who they are, and this is what they believe, and by the way, is what they've been teaching your kids for 30 years in courses called conflict resolution 101.
Barack Obama believes if you run around the world and apologize for what your country has done, people will treat you nonviolently.
Barack Obama believes if you if you just don't put any armed personnel in your embassy, in your consulate, just don't have them there.
Then violent people will act nonviolently and will leave you alone.
It is the most naive, childish theoretical textbook cockamami BS that we have ever elected in a leadership position in this country.
It is it is outrageous.
And then when every liberal theory is upended, when every effort we've made on behalf of Obama to show these bad guys that we're nice guys now.
We're not the bad guys we were when Bush ran this country.
We're not the aggressive, mean spirited hawks and cowboys that used to.
We're nice.
You can you can trust us.
When that blows up in their face, well, we gotta come up with something fast.
So guess what?
Well, I'm a liberal.
I'm a liberal Democrat, I'm a socialist, whatever I am, and in my worldview, America's always to blame for this stuff.
So, oh, there's a guy that did a video, makes fun of the prophet.
Oh, that'll work.
We'll blame him.
And that's how it happened.
As a cover up for the sheer childishness and incompetence of the current regime, and and and in a in a televised national televised debate, for us to be told, well, well, we didn't know.
There was a request for security.
The president of the United States didn't he shouldn't have to be told.
His instinct should be that once something like this happens, you flood the zone.
Folks.
I I gotta take a break.
I just we'll be back here.
The guy who requested more security, Ed Benghazi, the guy who requested more security for Cairo, testified before Congress two days ago.
It's Eric Nordstrom.
And he said he's the former security director, the former security officer in Libya.
He said he was specifically told you can't request a security support team extension.
You can't request one right now.
And Nordstrom said he interpreted that as saying there was too much political cost.
We can't we can't do more security too.
Meaning, if I send more security in there, I'm admitting I blew something.
Obama was not gonna send more security in there because that would mean something went wrong.
And the only thing that went wrong was a video.
And that's a flat out lie.
And the vice president of the United States, in addition to acting like a boar last night, was lying.
Big time, and he was allowed to get away with it by Martha Raditz and Ryan, to a certain extent.
Now at the White House press briefing today, Jay Carney got a question about all of this.
Listen to this.
The vice president's comments last night in the debate were widely interpreted as saying that he was the administration was absolved.
He said we weren't told.
Okay, so you're saying the State Department was told.
The Vice President was speaking about himself and the president and the White House.
He was not referring to the administration clearly since there was a public hearing for four and a half hours where it was discussed openly by individuals working at the State Department requests that were made.
Obviously, he was referring to uh he wasn't talking about the administration writ large, he was speaking about himself and the president in the White House.
Well, who the hell is the administration for cried out loud?
So here's Carney.
Oh, well, Biden last night when he when he said that we didn't know about the request, now that's just me and the president in the White House.
Oh, okay, well, that explains it.
So, Joey, nobody called you, huh, pal, and nobody told you about more security being.
Is that right, Joey?
And nobody called Barry?
Nobody called Barack as, hey Barack, we need he's the president for crying out loud, Joey.
And here's Carney say, oh, no, wait a minute, there was a hearing on this.
Everybody knows, but Obama didn't know.
Does this guy know what he's saying?
There's a public hearing four days ago.
We all saw it.
Jay Carney acknowledged it acknowledges it, and but Barack didn't know.
And Joey didn't know.
And a White House didn't know.
They knew every damn thing about this.
They knew it was their policy that had gone south big time, and they were engaged in cover-up, and last night's debate was an attempt to further that cover up.
You know, people forget that Barack Obama had a war in Libya before all this.
Obama's Libyan war.
Do you think the fact that Obama went in there And took Qaddafi out, might have something to do with what's going on.
I have to take a top of the hour break, but I'm not through with this.
We got lots of other stuff to do and your phone calls as well.
We'll be right back and continue after this.
We did not need new intelligence in order to know that Libya is one of the most dangerous countries in the world for Americans right now.
We went to war against Libya.
Obama's Libyan war.
He thinks he can send ambassadors in with no arms and no protection, and the bad guys, ah, they're no threat.
