Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
You know, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, folks.
After all of these years, none of us should be surprised, and I still am.
Look at how quickly what is known as the mainstream media goes for the ugliest racial stereotypes they can to attack a black conservative.
You know who's laughing himself silly today is Bill Clinton.
I really did it.
They praised me, and they went all over, they went as far out of their way as they could.
And even, oh, my old buddy Carville's out there, and he's saying, look what happens to your Dragon Dollar Bill through a trailer park at Paul Jones.
I have everybody defending me, and they're going after this black guy, and they're going after him into some of the ugliest racial stereotypes I have ever seen.
That's how our side does it, we get away with it.
I just love it.
I love watching it.
What's next, folks?
A cartoon on MSNBC showing Herman Cain with huge lips eating a watermelon.
What are they gonna do next?
No, Snertley, I'm not kidding.
The racial stereotypes that these people are using to go after Herman Cain, what is the one thing that it tells us?
It well, it tells us who the real racists are, yeah, but it tells us that Herman Cain is somebody.
Something's going on out there.
Herman Cain obviously is uh uh making some people nervous for this kind of thing to uh to happen.
We'll get into this in in great detail here as the program unfolds.
We got audio sound bites and all kinds of things, but there's some other things here, folks.
You on this one, this next one, you're gonna be yanking my chain.
Or maybe your own chain.
Occupy Wall Street Madison, Wisconsin, has been denied a demonstration renewal permit because of public masturbation.
Yes, it's right here.
Uh well, I don't know, but I this is when I read this that you gotta be yanking my chain.
City officials temporarily denied Occupy Madison a new street use permit Wednesday after uh protesters violated public health and safety conditions and failed to follow the correct processes to renew or amend a permit, permit expired Wednesday at noon, this is last week, uh, and it required Occupy Madison protesters to relocate from their current space.
Madison Parks official Laura Bowers said that neighboring hotel staff were voicing concerns about having to recently escort hotel employees to and from bus stops at night, late at night due to uh inappropriate behavior, alleging public masturbation for the uh for the street protesters.
And in New York, it's hearsay and merely an allegation, but if this is true, it's intriguing.
Since police resources are being diverted to babysit the Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York, uh says here, I don't, and I don't know the uh the source of this, it didn't print out.
Two different drunks, well, never I can't do this because I don't know what this is.
Apparently, what's happening here is that the the New York police department is telling the homeless to head down to Zaccati Park.
That's the upshot of this story.
The homeless are being told by the cops to head down to Zaccati Park.
Uh, and to go down there and to add the telling them that they're free food down there, uh, that there's booze, and it's a it's a grand time to be had, and so the home that one of the reasons the homeless are gravitating there is because the cops, according to this story, now the New York Police Department press office declined to comment about this.
But that is uh apparently what is what is happening.
Okay, let's let's do this.
Herman Cain story for I started out by talking about Clinton, and he really Bill Clinton must be laughing himself sick over this hit job from the politico on Cain, and Cain now has Denied it.
Without question, he has categorically denied any of this.
But a story like this involving Bill Clinton.
Why Clinton would be getting high fives, millions of dollars of campaign contributions from the nags.
If this story were about Bill Clinton, the left would be circling the wagons, doing everything they can to fend off the charge.
I mean, this story is a joke that can only truly be appreciated by Clinton and other sexual predators.
The sources, which include the recollections of close associates and other documentation describe episodes that left the women upset and offended.
These incidents include conversations allegedly filled with innuendo or personal questions of a sexually suggestive nature.
We're talking about as far back maybe as 15 years ago here.
These conversations and other offensive things took place at hotels during conferences at other officially sanctioned restaurant association events and at the association's orifices.
There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overly sexual, but they made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable.
What the hell could that be?
Need help here.
What could physical gestures that were not overly sexual?
What could they be that would make you uncomfortable?
That would fall in line with sexual harassment.
What in the world could they be?
That made women who experience well, that would be overtly sexual if he did that.
This is the the the the there were descriptions of physical gestures that were not overly sexual.
Overtly, I should say, overtly sexual, licked his lips with his tongue while looking at them.
Well, dream on.
Made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regard it as improper in a professional relationship.
That appears to be it.
That appears to be it.
Now, we don't have any evidence of ice packs on a busted lip, as we had with Juanita Broderick and Bill Clinton.
All right.
Yeah, Bill Clinton and Juanita Broderick, hey, hey, babe, it was great.
Pussy mass on that.
You're bleeding at the lip.
We don't have any of that.
This uh this this story appears to me to be a close relative of the hit job that the Washington Post is doing on Marco Rubio.
And it's not news.
It's not a news story.
This is gutter partisan politics.
And is the politics of minority conservative personal destruction is what you've got here.
Rubio and Cain, unfit to lead, don't you see?
Can't have we cannot have a black Republican running for the office of president.
We can't have one elected.
We can't have an Hispanic.
The left owns those two groups, and those two groups are going to forever be minorities.
Those groups cannot ever be seen to be self-sufficient or rising above on their own.
Those two groups are owned, Lockstock and Barrel by the Democrat Party, and anything good that happens to any black or Hispanic in American politics can only happen via the Democrat Party.
If it happens elsewhere, we're going to destroy those people.
A la Clarence Thomas.
No, Herman Cain doesn't have a bimbo eruptions person like Betsy, what's her name, Betsy Wright.
During the 92 presidential campaign, you people, some of you youngsters out there may not remember this, but during the 92 presidential campaign, there were all kinds of bimbos popping up all over the country claiming that Clinton had actually done things to them, not just engaged in gestures that were not overtly sexual.
And they had Betsy right as she was In charge of bimbo eruptions.
That was her title.
And whenever a bimbo erupted, they said Betsy Wright on her to pay them off or to shut them up or to threaten them or what have you.
But I'll tell you what this really is.
It really is about blacks and Hispanics getting too uppity.
That's what this is.
You don't you don't achieve in American politics as a Republican, as a self-reliant individual or conservative.
You don't do it.
You try it, and we're going to destroy you.
Washington Post and Marco Rubio last week and the week before today, Herman Cain.
Now Clinton is laughing because he knows the media and the liberals are going to treat a black conservative far different than how they would treat any Democrat.
Nobody's going to ask Bill Clinton to comment on this.
That's why I'm doing it for him.
No one's going to ask Hillary Clinton to comment.
The last time something that came up with Bill Clinton asked Hillary about it on a Today Show, she blamed a vast right-wing conspiracy for it.
So what you have here is a wonderful, marvelous, all-consuming story for the state-controlled media.
Classic drive-by media hit job on a black conservative, and it is a distraction, and let's not forget what's really going on out there.
Fast and furious.
There are now 17 congressmen demanding Eric Holder's resignation for his department giving thousands of deadly weapons paid for with taxpayer money to Mexican drug cartels that have resulted in 200 murders.
That happened in the Obama regime.
There is Celindra and the ongoing crony capitalism scandal of the green energy that is taking place.
Record level of food stamps.
Democrats all over the news today saying it looks bad for Obama.
We have the rise of radical Islam in the Middle East.
The Occupy Wall Street story starting to backfire.
We have Steve Jobs in his biography, the Walter Isaacson biography, describing a can't do president.
Jobs is quoted by Isaacson as saying Obama disappointed him.
Because every time Jobs and his group of entrepreneurs meeting with Obama suggested something, Obama would say, Well, we just can't do that.
We can't get that done.
And Jobs did not allow that at Apple.
There was no such thing as you can't do it.
There is a marvelous story.
In fact, Walter Isaacson's book on Steve Jobs has me mesmerized.
In fact, I have finished it.
It's over 600 pages.
I I've I was unable to put it down.
Learned a lot of things I didn't know about Steve Jobs, not all of them pretty.
But this book has given rise to every emotion I have.
I've gotten choked up, I've got misty-eyed, I've gotten angry.
I've felt regret.
I've felt shortchanged every emotion possible to have.
I've had reading this book.
There's one story about the iPhone to illustrate Jobs' frustration with Obama.
Although that's non-I'm putting two things together here to arrive at this conclusion.
Jobs wanted and needed a particular kind of glass for the iPhone display, touch screen and very had to be very strong glass and so forth.
And he found a guy at Corning, who years ago had developed a process, but they had given it up.
There was never a market for it years and years ago, and it was languishing as a process that Corning wasn't doing.
Jobs went and talked to the guy.
His name was Weeks, Wendell Weeks, the CEO of Corning.
And Weeks said, we can't do this.
Jobs said, don't be afraid.
You can do it.
Get your arms around it, you can do it.
And they did it.
Corning guy did it in a record amount of time, and the Corning guy's got one memento in his office, one framed memento.
And it's a note from Steve Jobs that we can't do, we couldn't have done it without you.
Meaning the iPhone.
So here's Jobs and Obama and Obama telling me we can't do it.
We can't do this.
It's probably politics.
We just can't get it done.
And Jobs saying, I'm just disappointed as hell with the guy.
We don't know what that is, can't get it done.
Obama can't get anything done.
Everybody's frustrated with him.
Now they've sent out Michelle Obama in an unprecedented role.
She is going to the homes of rich people in Florida to rip rich people, uh, rich Republicans.
They have turned her into an attack dog on the campaign trail unprecedented for a first lady.
These are the things that are going on, ladies and gentlemen, while they try to destroy Herman Cain.
Obama's can't do president.
Cylindra, fast and furious.
The absolute scandal that is the porculus stimulus, the destruction of the U.S. economy and the politico and the mainstream media have launched an unconscionable, racially stereotypical attack on an independent, self-reliant conservative black because that is not allowed.
Now, if we had, I want to look at a couple things today from a different perspective.
What would the left be doing right now if, let's say, there were an assault on Obama of this nature?
Let's say that some conservative publication ran a story exactly like this, unnamed sources 15 years ago, every detail, Obama sexual harassment.
What would the Democrat National Committee and what would the media be doing?
They would be going after the women.
They would be targeting these women and they would name names and they would destroy them.
That is what the Democrats and the media would do.
They would set out to find out who these women are that talk to the conservative publication and they would destroy them.
They would call these women racists for trying to destroy a black politician.
They would claim that they're working for the Republican National Committee.
They would claim that these two women, or these women, whoever, had been hired by the Republican National Committee to engage in this smear and lie campaign against Obama.
They would go after these women.
They would destroy them.
They would make the women the bad guys.
They would dig into every minor thing in these women's lives that they have ever done.
They would crash them.
They would make them prove the unprovable.
Because this is war.
And that's how they fight it.
Anything goes, as far as they're concerned, and they cannot allow a black or an Hispanic to rise to the top of a political establishment that is not Democrat.
Back after this.
You think I'm wrong about this.
Jackie Robinson, in the 1960s, was denounced.
Jackie Robinson, who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball, was denounced as an Uncle Tom because he supported Republicans in the 1960s.
Jackie Robinson, the left, the Democrat Party of the Day, called Jackie Robinson and Uncle Tom.
Throughout the history of this program, people have called and asked me why do Republicans do X or why don't Republicans do why?
This is your answer.
The Republican Party is scared to death of the mainstream media.
They are deathly afraid of it.
Herman Cain was not.
Herman Cain exhibited no fear of the mainstream media.
Herman Cain on the campaign trail saying what he believes.
Proposing what he's proposing.
This is how the mainstream media keeps the Democrat or the Republican Party in check.
They're scared to death of this kind of thing happening to them.
Pure and simple.
It's also why you won't, I'm just predicting, you're not going to see too many people in the official Republican establishment rise up to Herman Cain's defense.
You know, if this exactly circumstance, as I just mentioned, it happened in a conservative publication.
Not only would the Democrats and the media be going after the women, as James Carville did and others during the Clinton years, they'd be going after the reporters.
They'd be going after the publication.
Anybody who had anything to do with the story, it would be search and destroy.
Our side will not do that.
Herman Cain stood up to the media.
He did not act afraid, and so he had to be slapped down.
Is it coincidental this all happened the night before he's to address the National Press Club today?
We'll be back.
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh.
Have my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
You know, folks, we don't even have to go back to the ancient days of the Clinton administration to see the double standard that exists here.
Look at the contortions that the news media went through to ignore the Anthony Wiener story.
Remember how they just did everything they could to ignore that.
And then they wanted to find out who the women were.
Remember that.
That's right.
They wanted to find out who the women were that uh that Anthony Wiener was texting.
And then they wanted to attack Andrew Breitbart for daring to bring it up.
They did everything they could to deflect attention away from Wiener.
The problem in this case was that Wiener was not a very sympathetic figure, and his name did not do much to help this.
His name made the whole story a laughing stock.
So when they couldn't ignore it, when they couldn't get anybody else to ignore it, the media also just laughed about it.
Look at how they ignored the John Edwards story.
Look at how they went out of their way to cover that up.
Look at how they went out of their way to do everything they could to make sure nobody found out about the John Edwards story.
You compare Clinton, John Edwards Anthony Wiener to this.
Now Keynes flatly denying this, but I'm gonna tell you something here, folks.
The Democrats are desperate.
They are as desperate as are their accomplices in the drive-by media.
So get used to this.
The Democrats are on the verge of losing the Senate and the White House.
In that circumstance, no smear is too low because everything's at stake here.
Liberalism is at stake.
Liberalism is at risk of getting a pink slip.
Liberalism, the ideology, is now the target.
Leftists will do anything possible to keep it alive and themselves in power.
So everybody looking down the road a year from now to an October surprise, an Obama October surprise.
It's going to be a political bloodbath.
A scaremongering freak fest, the likes we have not seen before.
That's what we are in store for, and this is the Warm-Up Act.
This is the Harbinger.
Now I mentioned that Michelle, my bell, has been dispatched by the regime to run out there and uh and basically engage in a campaign of personal destruction.
I'm looking for the story even now.
I think I put it toward the very bottom because in my mind I wasn't even going to talk about it, but now I must.
So I'm searching for it.
Maybe I put it near the top.
At any rate, let me let me look at this from a different perspective.
The Democrats in Michelle are running around attacking the Republican base, attacking the 1%, attacking the achievers of this country.
The people who are self-reliant, The people who are working, the people who are paying taxes, the people whose income is being redistributed, those are the people under assault, those are the people being attacked.
And it's time that everybody on our side woke up here and understood that we are in the majority.
Their base, the Democrat Party base, somehow, well, not somehow, I understand it.
The Democrat Party base is immune from discussion.
Not here, of course, not here, talking about inofficial Republican ranks.
And why is the Democrat base?
Well, because they're the poor and the disadvantaged and to put out and to put upon.
Is that who they really are?
And why is it that it's hands off the Democrat base?
Why isn't it proper to point out the Democrat base is made up for the most part of the nation's losers?
The Democrat Party base is what is destroying this country.
And the effort to cobble them and to take care of them, and to continue keeping them in that position that they're in of total dependence, no opportunity, acquiring wealth or achievement.
The rest of us have to pay for their crazy stupid life choices.
The rest of us have to see our wealth and income transferred and redistributed to people who've made rotten choices among them, among the worst choices they've made to vote Democrat.
Thank you.
The Democrat Party base is the nation's losers.
And we need to start pointing out.
You want to start talking about people not paying their fair share?
Yeah, it's the Democrat Party base that's not paying your fair share.
It's the 47% or whatever the number is that don't pay income taxes who are not paying their fair share.
It's not the top 1%.
It's not the people working.
It's not the people getting up every day and doing everything they can to make this country work.
They are not the ones who are not paying their fair share.
The Democrat Party base are the people not paying their fair share.
49, 47% that are paying zilch zero nada.
And they're the ones that we're told ought to get everything.
They're the ones who want to get all the benefits.
They're the ones who want to get all the transfers of wealth.
Somehow they are in their circumstance because of the 1%, the 1% stolen everything those people used to have.
Wrong.
Those people are in the positions they're in because they have made rotten life choices, and they have had those choices confirmed and affirmed by the Democrat Party who wants those people dumb and stupid and unproductive.
That's who's not paying their fair share.
And that's what the Republican Party needs to start pointing out.
This is a wall, as James Carville would say.
American politics is a wall.
We don't treat it that way.
Not us, not you and me, folks.
I'm talking about the people that represent us in large part.
I, for one, have had it.
I have had it with the people who are working in this country being called.
The people who aren't paying their fair share.
I have had it with people who are getting up every day and slogging against every effort this administration's making to kill this economy, to still go to work every day, make this country work.
They are not the people who are screwing up.
They are not the people who are not paying their fair share.
They're doing more than their fair share.
And they're facing obstacles like they've never faced before in this administration, and still they get up and they go to work every day.
It offends my sensibilities to hear these people described as not paying their fair share.
Because don't believe for a moment that the Democrats simply mean that one percent not paying their fair share.
They're after everybody that's working.
They're after everybody's paying taxes, and they want to raise them.
And meanwhile, the people who don't work, the losers that make up the Democrat Party base, that's for whom we're supposed to have compassion and sorrow because of their life choices.
We are the majority in this country, and we are the ones who make it work.
I'm tired of being blamed.
Flat out, tired of having the pink or finger pointed at me and you and everybody else who's working or trying to work or trying to get a job.
Instead, what do we do?
We're supposed to have sympathy and compassion for a bunch of whining losers.
We're supposed to feel sorry for a bunch of people who where they are because they have chosen it.
And as I say, their number one choice has been to vote Democrat.
You get what you pay for.
Your guiding light through times of trouble, confusion, murkiness, tumult, chaos, distortion, destruction, assassination of character, everything plus the good times.
Here at the distinguished and prestigious Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Let's go back to last Friday on MSNBC, the Martin Bashir show.
He had uh among his guests, Democrat strategist Karen Finney.
Listen to Karen Finney describe Herman Cain and the Republican Party fascination with him.
One of the things about Herman Cain is I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy.
I think he is giving that base a free pass.
And I think they like him because they think he's a black man who knows his place.
And I know that's harsh, but that's how it sure seems to me.
There you have classic illustration of the Democrat Party stereotype.
When in fact, who was it, Miss Finney that came up with the term magic Negro to describe Barack Obama?
Who was it?
That was talking about his lack of authenticity because he had a white mother.
Who was it?
All during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Talking about how black Americans, white Americans could vote finally for a guy who was clean and articulate.
It was Joe Biden.
And assuage their guilt.
Roger Simon, one of the top dogs at Politico accused Republicans of being racists on reliable sources on CNN over the weekend.
Karen Finney sounds like a plantation wife of old.
They've got the good blacks and you've got the bad blacks.
And there's Karen Finney, Democrat Party strategist, telling us who the good blacks are and who the bad blacks are.
And telling us the Republican base, we like Herman Kane.
It's just like, by the way, we didn't like Ronald Reagan because of his issues either.
We liked him because he was a vuncular.
He smiled, he was a good old grandfatherly type actor guy.
Well, yeah, we're her and Kane, we like him because finally there's a black guy we can point to who we like so people can think that we're not racist.
Projection, my friends.
Karen Finney is projecting exactly how the Democrats feel when they support a black candidate.
As I say, this is a forerunner.
Get ready because more like this is going to be happening from now until the November 2012 election.
Let me grab some phone calls on this, because there are other items here in the news that we're going to be getting to, of course.
We'll start Dallas.
This is Suzanne.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi, Russ.
It's an honor to speak with you.
Thank you very much.
Um, I am not certain.
I guess with Herman Cain's recent poll numbers showing him maintaining the lead over all of these uh Republican candidates with more money.
Um are we sure this attack on Herman Cain isn't coming from a Republican presidential candidate uh camp?
Like who?
Name names.
Okay, well, you have Romney Imperial that does have uh self-described war chests of money.
Uh is this war?
I mean, he's uh Herman Cain is is uh out there and he's getting to the folks and he's um keeping those poll numbers steady.
Do you know if you're intimidated by him at this point?
Yeah, I suppose that uh it's possible that a Republican be behind this.
I doubt it because the political was used.
If a Republican were behind this, I think a different publication would have been used, and I think entirely different circumstances and charges would have been.
This is so liberal.
I mean, these watch these people, listen to these people talk about a campaign commercial with a guy puffing on a cigarette.
These people, I'm gonna tell you something.
The the the American left, the Democrat Party of the media are so out of the mainstream of life in this country while at the same time thinking they define it.
Who but a bunch of absolute crazed feminazis can go nuts here over gestures.
I remember back in the early days of the sexual harassment movement, there was some poor firefighter guy had a Playboy magazine in his cubicle of the firehouse, and some female firefighter demanded he be fired because Playboy, the magazine, just the fact that it was there made her nervous and it was offensive.
I've been doing this show since 1988.
And I have taken stock, I have taken note of how much our culture has changed to accommodate this bunch of wusses known as the offended.
I did.
Oh, not just that.
I predicted everything about sexual harassment.
I I I I predicted the whole cultural decay and rot uh that would happen when it's defined by Democrats.
But this this group of people that we have called the offended have done more to damage common ordinary everyday life.
To listen to these reporters, Chuck Todd, some of these people talk about seeing a guy smoke a cigarette in a political ad, you would have thought somebody was about to inject them with a killer disease.
That was just unconscionable, it's unacceptable.
It's they they cannot.
They can't understand it.
These people don't even know that children's health care programs are paid for by smokers.
I said last week, smokers ought to get the Congressional Medal of Honor for crying out loud.
All the taxes they pay and all the derision that they are subject to.
So I don't know.
I th this whole thing, every detail of it reeks of what the left considers huge stuff.
Okay, see a couple of busybodies claim that Herman Cain engaged in some gestures that weren't overtly sexual, but they were really, really offensive.
Who the hell is these people?
What for crying out loud offends them?
Non-overtly sexual gestures is what we're talking about here.
In the meanwhile, we got a president who was accused of rape.
Yeah, put some put some ice on that.
We got John Edwards, we got Anthony Wiener, we've got for crying out loud, and and we've we're supposed to stop the world for this.
I gotta take a break here because of constraints of time.
Look, it anything's possible.
It could be uh Republican leaking this stuff on on Herman Cain.
Could be.
But just doesn't sound like it.
Just it just doesn't sound when you folks, the Republicans are not nearly as worried about a black guy achieving as the Democrats are.
That this you got to understand how this worries and scares the death out of him.
There are a couple of other reasons why I really doubt that a Republican is behind this Herman Cain thing.
But I'm not gonna tell you right now.
I don't have time to tell you right now.
I got eight, seven, six, five seconds left.
I will tell you when we get back from our brief news break here at the top of the hour, and then get on to other stuff too.
Lots of stuff out there.
