The scripture is clear not to pray for the dead.
But Charlie may be alive, and we don't know.
We're not omniscient.
And so I'm going to begin this episode by praying.

Thank you that he is or was a Christian, that he believed in your son Jesus Christ as the only atonement for sin, not just for sin as an abstract entity or sinful people who do bad things in the world, but he believed that Jesus Christ.
Is the Savior, the Lamb of God, whose blood was shed for his sin.
Charlie believed that.
So we thank you for that first and foremost that if he does die, he spends eternity in bliss, in peace, and in joy with you, where there is no more sin, where there is no more gay race communism, there are no more crazy leftists that hate Christians, transgenders with assault weapons that shoot up.
Christian and Catholic schools.
We thank you for that.
But Father, we do pray that if it be your will, assuming that he's still alive, that you spare his life.
Father, we pray that you would spare the life of Charlie Kirk.

We know that although they were elected democratically, nothing happens apart from your providence and your sovereignty.
So you, by virtue of the people of the United States, you have appointed Donald Trump.
And you have appointed him, according to Romans chapter 13, to be your deacon, your minister of justice, an avenger, the Bible says, towards those who do evil.
And you have granted him the sword.
Your word says in Romans 13 that a righteous civil magistrate is to be a terror to those who do evil.
Lord, I pray that by your grace, that our president, his administration, Law enforcement, the National Guard, all those who have been appointed to positions to keep the peace and to fight evil,
both domestic and abroad, Lord, that you would empower them, strengthen their resolve, train their fingers for war, and that, Lord, they would be, as your word says, an absolute terror to the evildoer.
A terror.
That criminals and that those who are planning crime would be terrified, that they would shudder, that they would not even dream to lift their hand up against the innocent,
that they would not dare to try to commit violence against people because they would be so afraid of the swift justice.
That would be brought down on their head.
Lord, I pray that by your grace, America would make capital punishment great again.
That in these cases where there's Irena from Ukraine brutally stabbed on a subway with video footage, in these cases that are clear and cut, Lord, I pray that there would be capital punishment, that the death penalty would be inflicted.
That it would not be 25 to 35 years drug along, but it would be swift, it would be just after a fair trial, and it would be, it would be the proper proportionate justice, life for life.
If any man sheds another man's blood, he forfeits his own life.
This is how justice is established.
Lord, I pray that Christians would be bold in their witness in sharing the gospel.
That we would do the work of evangelists, that fathers and mothers in homes and pastors would catechize and preach.
All of this is vital.
It can never be anything less.
But when it comes to peace and prosperity and justice temporally in a nation, it is more, never less than discipleship, gospel preaching, evangelism.
But it is more.
It is the civil magistrate being a terror.
To those who do evil, using the full weight of the law to carry out swift justice.
We pray that this would be the case.
One last time, Lord, we ask for your mercy.
If it be your will to spare Charlie's life, and if he dies, we thank you that he was a Christian, and we pray, Lord, that you would comfort even now, Holy Spirit, one of your names is Comforter.

Christians are under attack, conservatives are under attack, and white people are under attack.
There's no other way to put it.
This is the reality.
The last thing I'll say here in the cold open, and then we'll get to the story with Charlie Kirk and how that fits into the broader narrative of right now what's happening, but I'll frame it up by saying this.

They're young boys, so the position isn't very complex.

It is exceedingly common that that young boy would then resort to violence, that the argument of words would culminate to the one who's losing the argument beginning to physically, aggressively fight.

That's where we're at right now as a nation.
The left has made its arguments, the long march through the institutions, universities, media, government, for decades.
And it all built and built and built where they were winning many of the arguments for decades.
Conservatives, Christians, we were losing for decades, battle after battle after battle after battle.
And then the left really played its final hand.
In 2020, they rigged an election, they locked every U.S. citizen in their home, they mandated if you wanted to remain employed and be able to feed your family.
That you had to have a foreign substance injected into your bloodstream, for which many people have died by way of consequence.
And for four years, the left won the argument.
They had virtually total power over this country.
There were old ladies praying outside of abortion clinics, locked in jail.
People who were not a part of any organized insurrection.
But a part of a peaceful protest without trial, locked in jail.
I mean, total victory for the left for four years.
And I know it feels like a nightmare, like a dream, but it was real.
And it was not that long ago.
For four years, it was a dark, dark time in our nation.
I think of the iconic image of Joe Biden with his hands raised, with the black and red lights behind him.
And we all lived through that.
And by the grace of God, and only the grace of God, Donald Trump's life was spared after not just one, but multiple assassination attempts.
And the people of America, unequivocally, even with a popular vote, not only electoral, put him in office, meaning that we were losing an argument for decades.
And then all of a sudden, we won.
We didn't win everything, but it was a decisive win at the time for the right.
And like those two boys on the playground, the right now winning the argument.
But I think we forget who we're arguing against.
That other boy on the playground, when he starts to lose an argument, he doesn't have the upbringing that we have.
He wasn't raised in church, he wasn't raised to be disciplined.
And well behaved?
He doesn't have character.
No, that other boy on the playground, the left, gay race communism, when they start losing the argument, which they are now losing the argument for the first time, you have to get a hold of this.
For the first time in arguably 60 years, the right has finally had a real victory.
The tide is actually turning.

Well, as of 3 10 p.m., I've been scanning the news as we've been talking, and it seems from decently reliable sources, a number of them, Glenn Beck being one, I think Turning Point USA being another, it would appear at least for now he's alive and being stabilized.
Praise God.
That's unconfirmed.
We don't know.
But at this point, it's about a dozen sources that are saying some form of that.
So at the very least, it would appear that he got quick medical help.
If you saw the shot and what happened, he was shot in the neck and there was a lot of bleeding.
But he has a security team.
I believe also someone said that Utah.
As a level one trauma center.
So, even in the midst of this tragedy, in God's goodness, it seems there's a fighting chance that he survived.
What on any other battlefield or any other stage would have been instant death.
He would have been dead.
This is as of 3 10 Central PM.
We don't know.
We'll probably hear later today.
So, continue to pray.
But as is right now, there's no confirmation that he is dead.
And there is hope that he's alive.
Obviously, he would have a long road to recovery.
The heart is generally okay.
If you go a little while without blood, it's the brain you're more worried about.
So, pray for God to preserve brain function that they were able to get to him quickly.
And that God would guide the doctors and the nurses and everyone there.
But there is, in God's grace, a hope and a fighting chance.
Let's tie this to there's also occurring right now, there was just a shooting at a Colorado high school.
It appears two students have been shot.
We all are, of course, still reeling from the stabbing that occurred in the Charlotte light rail when a black man slit the throat and stabbed a white woman three times in the neck.
And just a week before that, the transgender shooting in the Catholic school.
A transgender man shot through the school of a Catholic church, killing, I believe, seven children.
Children, this is just in the last three weeks, and I don't know the political affiliation of, for example, the Colorado High School shooter.
You can obviously, with almost certainty, say that the individual that shot Charlie Kirk hated his message, was not right wing, it's not as though he was too far to the right.
He said, Charlie, you've got to come farther.
We know that it's a great way to convince you.
Okay, so this is the suspected shooter.
This is okay, suspected as of now, the suspected shooter, as best we can tell, he was a boomer, he was elderly, uh, he was white.
But yeah, we know he was not right wing.
Right.
So you have the transgender shooter, most certainly left wing.
You have the black man who we don't know his political affiliation, but he would, of course, have favored.
We all know.

This is why it's not just to get a rise, it's not to be a shock jock.

But the reason why we talk about the things that we talk about is because logically and also historically, that's not how history works.
You don't just rewind the clock.
The way back is by going through.
You have to seize power righteously and keep power righteously and wield power righteously.

This idea that, well, power is not a virtue.

He said, Power is not a virtue.
Christians shouldn't care about it.
If Christians forsake power, then the wicked will take power.
So, power, whether or not it's a virtue, I think you could argue, you know, I could put up an argument.

This is what I would say.
Power is neither a virtue nor is it a vice.
Power is a vehicle.

Because I have insisted that you can clean up America temporally, temporally.

But temporally speaking, politically, culturally, and nationally, you can clean up America to a great degree without a spiritual revival.
Do I, as a pastor, as a minister, as a Christian, as a husband, as a father, pray and in my daily life work towards, by sharing the gospel and preaching the word of God, a spiritual revival?
Do I pray for it?
Do I want it?
Do I desire it?
Yes.
But the idea that a spiritual revival, that 50% of the country's population plus one must be born again and converted spiritually in order for us to have a peaceful place to live, is not actually true.
And it's not even biblically true, which is the only standard for real truth that there is.
It's not biblically true.
You can have a few people who are behaving righteously as God's deacons in the God appointed positions of political power in our country who say, Hey, you're not a Christian?

Why did anyone think that tailing political violence would have been the means to solve it?

And now they've done it.
And now the left is standing back.

This is, I mean, honestly, like, I can't help, you know, I don't want to make it about me, but they know what they're doing.
So when USA Today writes an article about me, like they did this week, And when the Houston Chronicle reaches out to publish an article, probably in the next couple days, like they reached out this morning, they know that that's going to be seen by thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people.
And they know that the people, not all of them, but among those people in their audience, their audience is not the new Christian right, right?
No, their audience is leftists who will read that and say, Thank you for the marching orders, Houston Chronicles.
Thank you for the marching orders, USA Today.
Thank you for the marching orders, CNN.
Thank you for the marching orders, MSNBC.
Consider it done.
And they load their gun.
They get in their car.
And they go to hunt, to hunt people on the right.
The right doesn't do that.
The right doesn't do that.
The left does.
They hunt Christian children in schools.
I mean, they hunt right wing political figures.
At a rally, they hunt people on presidential campaigns as they're speaking.
This is what they do.
That was the moment, too.
And we talked about it when it happened.
This is not politics as usual because there can be a hesitancy, especially among boomers.
Well, politics is always just back and forth, and one side or the other, it's all kind of the same.
No, a presidential candidate was shot in the head, two inches more, and his eyes and his brain would have been blown out on live TV.
We are not in the 90s.
We are not in the 80s.
We are not in the 70s.
A fundamental political calculus has changed.
And you, Christian, there's a great verse in the Bible Blessed be the Lord my God who trains my hands for war.
So now that the calculus has changed, it always was, politics always was war by different means.
War without the bullets.
Becoming more external.
And now it's becoming war with the bullets from one side.
So you, as the Christian, oh, this has changed.
That calculus 10 years ago, that's not true anymore.
Well, I moved my family here and it wasn't that bad and I could deal with it.
Great, that's all changed now, and that's something we've been saying.
You need to be safe, have land, live away from other people, have a job that's stable where you can speak out like we are right now and not get fired.
Have a church where your pastor is not going to be struggle sessioning you for crimes against the post war consensus while Christian men are being gunned down on campuses as they try to talk to individuals.
You have to know the moving away is just that is key.
Like my wife and I, you know, we talked right before we were recording this, you and I, and our tech guys.
And all of you guys were encouraging me and saying, Joel, you have to move because my address has been made public and my family's not safe.
We're not safe here.
I just had somebody give me a bulletproof vest to wear every Sunday, which I will be wearing this Sunday, every Sunday when I preach because we have to.
These are the kinds of things.
This is where we're at as a country right now.
And yeah.
And so I'll say this.
We're not playing any ads on this episode intentionally because just the nature of the subject matter is just too dire, it's too weighty, it's too heavy.

But I will say this if there is a solid Christian man on the right who is speaking out, Who is being courageous and speaking out on these matters?
He is in danger.
His life is under threat.
And guys like that, and by God's grace, and it's only the grace of God, it's not me, but I'm one of them, I'm only in the fight because of your support, your financial support.

I've had pastors try to destroy our ministry.
I've had Christians come after us because I'm not a 20th century liberal.
That's my great heresy, my great crime.

It is crazy.
And like you said, moving away, that's something that I have to do now.
Yeah, that's something that I'm actively planning and I'm going to have to pull the trigger quickly to get away, to have more privacy.
To have more safety.
And if you know anyone like that, if you know, man, this ministry or this podcast or this guy, he's distinctly Christian, he's on the right, and he's courageous.
And he's taking a stand on these issues.
He's willing to talk about race, he's willing to talk about feminism, he's willing to talk about Zionism, he's willing to talk about the rise of the left and communism and these kinds of things.
That guy needs your prayers.
He also needs your support.
And not just for, you know, not just so he can live a cushy life, not for comfort, but for safety.
Him, his family, his team.
They actually need financial support for security, to change an address, those kinds of things.
It pains me, but that's the world that we're currently in.
Living in.
That's the world that we're currently living in.
And you should remember this feeling if you feel I just watching the video was gut wrenching.
What's going to come after is not going to be moderate like Charlie.
We tried.
I think for three years now, Joel, you have been insisting.
Guys, there's off ramps to where we don't have to do this the hard way.
And we could take them.
We could turn back to God, go back to church.
We could repent of these sins and these sins and these sins of abortion, of feminism, of all these things.
There are exit ramps before we get to the brutality that this might take.
Not that we're advocating for it, but just as a recognition of reality.
We don't want that.
But it's going to come.
But we keep suggesting biblical off ramps, and we keep getting told by Christians that we're wicked and heretics.
And so, what you will see if people will not even be willing, if Christians will, if everyone chooses to be on the kosher right and is going to label anybody willing to talk about things like this as woke right or fascist or whatever.
And you will not listen, then you will see a solution one day and very possibly soon.
And it will be a revolution that is far more intense than anything we've ever advocated for.
Right.
And my family will be okay because we're not criminals.
We're not degenerates.
We're not leftists.
That revolution will actually be, for the most part, it's not going to harm us.
It'll harm people and there will be collateral damage of those that are innocent, be it a college student that voted Democrat or a type of race war.
So, we're not the ones that are in the crosshairs begging you.
Don't do this.
Don't drive people to the extreme.
But when it does happen, you can sit there and say, Yeah, actually, like you said, you did kind of say, Well, you could do this.
This would be better.
This would be preferable.
And now you're with that one.
And at a certain point, you got to take the bed that you made and you've got to lie down in it and say, Yep, we did this.
Like people are really literally going to say, Our cowardice did this.

But compared to probably what's coming these next few years, I want to get into maybe practical steps that you can take.
But compared to the next few years, oh, yeah, that guy was a moderate.
We should have listened to him.

What should Christians on the right be doing now?
Yeah.
There's some organization that you need to do locally, and it's offline.
So we're not going to sit here and say, do this, that, or the other.
And I'm not talking about violence, but you need to be doing it locally.
And here's where we're going to resist this way or that way.
And I can't tell you what it can be.
But one thing you can do, all of you are involved.
You have a neighborhood that you probably live in, and a town that you live in, and you have friends and acquaintances.
You need to make the idea of being tolerant to the left, accepting of the left, of both sidesism.
If you're a pastor, for instance, that needs to be anathema.
You need to mock the idea that leftist ideals and leftist thought belong in public square.
You need to denigrate the transgender and the gay rights movement.
When I see pride flags in public, I'm tearing them down and getting rid of them.
And people are coming into work.
He means that literally.
They're coming into work and they're feeling, oh, somebody doesn't want this here.
The left, those who agree with it, those who are sympathetic to it, that live in your neighborhood and your town, nonviolently need to feel that they are not welcome, that they can feel like the right felt from 2015 to about 2024.
If you have these ideas, you need to take them and shove them deep down and keep them of the privacy of your home and never bring them out, because if you bring them out, In polite society, that you think maybe Charlie Kirk deserved it, or well, there's the right and the left on both sides, that people will think you're an idiot.
That's what needs to be done.
And there are enough people to do it.
Right.
And it's the same thing.
That's what the left did.
It's not just gaining political control, but cultural.
There is informal power by way of influence.
How many things, perfectly reasonable, perfectly Christian things, not violence, nothing like that, but perfectly reasonable Christian ideals and virtues.
Have you been afraid to utter in polite society for decades now?
Why?
Why have you felt that way?
Why have you felt nervous to say certain things?
Because the left seized power and they wielded it politically and culturally, academically at every level, economically.
Well, I can't say that.
I'll lose my job.
That's power.
Right.
That's power being wielded.
Like, there has to be the right to do that through ethical means, right?
So, I'm not talking about non civil magistrate, right?
Private citizens in the realm of violence.
But private citizens, if you're a business owner and somebody is one of your employees and you see on social media that they say, Ha, ha, ha, Charlie Kirk got what he deserved, fired.
Yep.
You must exercise economic power, you must exercise cultural power.
You have to.
And a warning to those who would do terrible things.
Well, I'm just going to go shoot up a synagogue that's terrible, and you will hurt the cause.
You will engender opposition to us.
That is a wicked thing to do.
It's wicked.
And you will harm the very end you want to create.
So do not use this opportunity to do something terrible and destroy the awakening that people are having.
Things are terrible.
The left needs to go away.
You can single handedly destroy that by losing your cool.
By going off the reservation and being violent.
Hear us plead with you do not do that.
Be sensible.
If you have a family, your children need you.
And there are so many ways, so many tangible ways that we can crush the left economically, politically, culturally, that we can do it.
We just, we need trigger discipline.
You need self control.
Right.
Any other, real quick, and then I have one last thing that I want to say.
Anything else practical that people can do?
I think that's the big one wherever you can, in any sphere, even if it's uncomfortable, make it clear this is what's normal, this is what's accepted.
Leftism does not count on that list.
