And thank God, the gospel is not be like Jesus.

What would Jesus do is necessary when it comes to pleasing the Lord.

That is the gospel.
His life, his death, his resurrection, his ascension.
The gospel is the wind in our sails, it's the fuel in the tank.
What did Jesus do fuels us, motivates us to ask the question and follow what would Jesus do?
But when it comes to that, when it comes to the law of God, when it comes to examples that we should imitate, David is a great one.
Don't be like Goliath, be like David.
What did Goliath do?
He despised him for his youth.
He said, What am I, a dog that you come to me with sticks and stones?
But David responds and says, You've mocked the armies of the living God, and today I will cut off your head and feed your flesh to the birds.
It's a great example to imitate as a follower of Jesus.
