Hands and feet murder twice as many, and knives kill five times more Americans than all rifles combined.
Preventable medical errors kill about 98,000 people per year.
Medical malpractice kills more than 12 times as many people as are murdered in the U.S.
each year. | |
That's more than 300 times the number killed by all rifles, not just the so-called assault rifles.
And yet, no one talks about limits on hammers or knives or doctors or hospitals.
Okay, so what he's saying is, I mean, if you people calling for gun control were ideologically consistent, if you weren't big ol' hypocrites, you'd also be calling for a ban on doctors.
Because, I mean, medical malpractice kills so many more people than gun violence.
Massacres, massacres.
By the way, after he said doctors, there was a screen wipe, and it said how to do it to him, and then it went right back to the videos.
I love the idea that nobody is putting regulations on doctors.
So why should we regulate guns?
Those guys need to be on a shorter leash.
People aren't regulating doctors.
It's not like it's hard.
It's a free-for-all out there.
It's not like it's hard to be a doctor.
I think that if you're gonna treat hospitals the same way you treat guns, you should just send your kids to a gun when they get sick.
Send them right to a gun.
Say, here, get a shot. | |
I think there should be like a mandatory lifetime.
All right. | |
I think there should be like a mandatory lifetime waiting period.
Like if you have a preexisting condition.
Yeah. | |
I think we should do that.
Again, back to natural selection.
People die all the time.
Sorry. | |
It's all good. | |
I would say the shittiest thing about uh these kind of debates and i i grew yeah grew up in gun country and um the the thing that always pisses me off it's like yeah i know that we're there's no way we're ever gonna get rid of all the guns in america like i don't think that's ever gonna happen i do more and more wish it would happen but i don't think it's gonna happen like people are gonna want their hunting rifles they're gonna want their pistols
the the fact that they want every like even tiny measure to pull back just a little bit on guns is seen as like you want to take all the guns away well it's just It's great propaganda.
I mean, the NRA, first of all, is just such a huge and powerful lobby.
And politically speaking, they're very successful.
I mean, they have it right.
Like, they don't do this incrementalist shit.
They don't cede any ground.
All or nothing. | |
They refuse to cede any ground because the second they lose a step, they know that their scene is no longer infallible.
It's possible to get these things through and so just any and all regulation is like a life or death thing for them.
Literally. | |
How else could we compare fucking healthcare to guns?
Like, I mean, the idea that, you know, I mean, people are just gonna die on the operating table and like, we don't, we don't try to prevent that at all.
A pistol handy. | |
Like, a doctor should have a pistol handy, just as a tool.
Well, I think you, as a patient, you should have your gun ready in case your doctor's about to do a malpractice on you.
Oh, yeah, yeah. | |
Oh, good. | |
No anesthetic. | |
Just, like, keep the Luger next, Ruger, whatever it is, next to you.
I think those are both guns, actually.
Okay, nice. | |
And, yeah. | |
You keep the gun next to you and you just take the pain like a real fucking man.
And you're ready to pull it on that dirty ass doctor that's about to drop tongs inside your belly.
It's not like, you know, doctors have to have malpractice insurance.
Yeah. | |
Or it's not like doctors can be fined or anything like that.
We just don't address malpractice, so why would we address gun violence?
No, this guy's got a point.
You know what? | |
I told my wife that after the last malpractice, I would do anything to get these doctors off the streets.
And I was like, I have my doctor and I can't just give my doctor back.
So I took my doctor and chopped him in half.
Wow. | |
So there's no more doctor anymore.
Wow. | |
And I just couldn't do it anymore.
Yeah, you're not supposed to say that shit.
I want you guys to maybe think about doing the same thing. |
