The Jimmy Dore Show.
Hi, this is Jimmy.
Who's this?
Jimmy, this is Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Oh, oh, oh, wow.
Hi, Dr. Fauci.
Thanks for calling into the show.
Sure.
What can we do for you, Dr. Fauci?
Well, as you are aware, I've been trying to communicate directly with as many media outlets as I can regarding the COVID-19 virus and the government response.
Staying safe during this pandemic and whatnot.
And I wanted to reach out to your audience as well.
Well, that's fantastic, Dr. Fauci.
We really appreciate that.
Now, as I understand it, your platform is primarily YouTube and podcasts.
Is that correct?
So there's...
Okay, so there's no real content restrictions.
No, no, that's right.
No content restrictions.
Okay, in that case, if you'll indulge me, I may be a little more frank than I have been on other media outlets.
That's not to say that I've been misleading and disingenuous in the other ones.
It's just I might be a little more earthy and honest with you and your audience.
Okay.
That's perfectly fine, Dr. Fauci.
So can you tell us now how the outlook stands in the U.S. over the next few weeks?
Oh, we are fucked.
We are fucked beyond belief, Jimmy.
We are fucked with a giant King Kong dick, I swear to God.
And we knew this was coming.
As soon as we got a handle on what was going on in China, we knew it was going to come here.
And we knew this stupid cocksucker of a president, this fucking Jabroni moron, fucking moron, would fuck the whole thing up.
And fuck me if he didn't do exactly that.
Me, the CDC, all of us.
He tied our hands.
He tied our feet.
He may as well have tied our balls to our fucking ears.
He had us strung up so bad.
Motherfuck, that idiot.
Well, this isn't very reassuring.
Well, you know, I don't know what to tell you.
I mean, what do you want from me?
This is the real me here.
Fauci unfiltered.
Okay, well, can you at least confirm the current guidelines?
Social distancing, shelter, and place.
I mean, I guess.
I mean, well, yeah, definitely stay the fuck home for sure, at the very least.
Don't fucking go anywhere.
These people out there walking around socializing like nothing is happening.
These selfish cocksuckers, I hope they get hit by a fucking dump truck.
Society would be better off with these idiots turned into grease stains on the pavement, I swear to God.
But yes, Jimmy, do me a favor, stay the fuck home.
And what if you have underlying health conditions?
Oh, Jesus Christ.
Well, in that case, stay the fuck home times a million.
Don't even look at your front door.
You understand?
I want you to go find every picture that's ever been taken of you where you're outside.
I want you to bundle those up and I want you to burn those motherfuckers in the fireplace, right?
So your brain doesn't even retain a fucking memory of being out of your fucking house.
You understand me?
I can't emphasize this enough.
If you catch yourself even looking out the fucking window, punch yourself in the dick.
Take care!
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
I see, I see.
Good to know.
So in the next two weeks?
Yeah.
It sounds sounds like it's gonna be pretty bad.
Pretty bad.
Jimmy, buckle the fuck up.
Those projections of 100,000 to 200,000 dead in this country is fucking Pollyanna horseshit at this point, okay?
The realistic numbers are way higher.
I know.
Like, fuck me, hire.
Hey, is our medical infrastructure prepared for this?
Absolutely not.
Fuck no.
Are they going to take measures to prepare?
I mean, I mean, that would have been done by now.
All people can really do at this point is to prepare psychologically.
For what?
For seeing dead motherfuckers all over the place.
I'm a doctor.
I'm used to seeing dead motherfuckers.
But I mean, are you seeing them in the streets, on sidewalks, on TV, on the fucking roof?
Who knows?
Everywhere.
This is fucking unprecedented.
Dr. Fauci, is there anything we can do health-wise to protect ourselves?
Is there anything we can do health-wise to protect ourselves from the virus?
Like, you know, any dietary guidelines?
Oh, give me a break, Jimmy.
I mean, what do you think?
Fucking lentils are going to save you from this ruthless bitch.
Quinoan, kale, salad.
You know, they're going to stave off death incarnate.
Come on, get smart.
You can't do shit.
My advice would be to treat every meal like it's your last meal.
That's my medical advice as a doctor.
I'm having white castles and sambuka for every meal, including breakfast.
Fuck it.
Okay, good to know.
So, Dr. Fauci, where are we?
What are we?
What are you supposed to do?
Right, right.
What are we supposed to do?
Everyone's asking.
Do you have a dog?
Yes, Brownie.
I want you to bet Brownie for me.
I want you to give Brownie a nice petting.
Do you like wine?
Have a little wine.
You get high?
Yes, but I'm trying not to smoke it'cause of the lung thing associated with the If it's coming for you, it's coming for you.
Stopping now isn't really going to do shit.
Just enjoy your life.
Just enjoy life.
That's all.
Okay, Doctor.
Well, this has been enlightening.
Maybe we can talk again next week.
I mean, maybe.
I mean, that would be nice if that ends up being possible.
You know, but let's just take things day by day.
If you understand my meaning.
Yeah, okay.
Okay, doctor.
And don't forget to get your flu shot this year.
Establishment media sets of all inspiring so good bullshit they can't afford comedian speeds comedium and hits him head on it's the chimney door show hey everybody welcome to this jimmy door show Let's get right to the show, shall we?
Because the show's fantastic.
What's coming up on today's show?
Workers are striking from coast to coast, and a brave Republican stands alone against the Stimulus Act.
Plus, what's wrong inside the Bernie's campaign?
Plus, we got phone calls today from Dr. Fauci.
That's right, Dr. Fauci calls in, plus Barack Obama and Liam Neeson and Bernie Sanders, plus a lot lot more.
That's today on the Jimmy Door show.
Max Blumenthal mentioned about this guy, Thomas Massey, who's a Republican who wanted everybody to vote, come to Washington, D.C., and he said, hey, if everybody at Ralph's and UPS and FedEx and the mail and the post office, have all those people have to work.
They all have to go into work.
Why shouldn't we have to go into work and vote, meaning Congress?
And so people went nuts.
And so anyway, he's telling the truth about this bill.
He tweeted this out.
The stimulus package that just passed is the biggest wealth transfer from common folks to the super rich Wall Street and bankers in the history of mankind.
done in the name of a virus with $1,200 checks as the cheese in the trap.
This will be obvious in short order.
So to all the people on Twitter and all the people in the comment sections of the YouTube videos who say things like, what could Bernie do?
His hands were tied.
He's only one guy.
I'm pretty sure that was his campaign slogan when he ran for Senate.
Vote for me, but what could I do?
I'm just one guy.
And then to all the people who say, well, Bernie, if you would have done anything, the media would have slaughtered him saying he was holding up the bail.
So I think that was his campaign slogan.
Vote for me.
I'll do the right thing unless the media will attack me for it.
I'd like to do the right thing.
I'm just one guy.
And what if the media attacks me for it?
I'll do the right thing when it's easy and when the media won't attack me for it.
Is that why you guys voted for Bernie?
don't think so.
And to all the people saying, I literally, there's comments by grown-up people on Twitter saying, yeah, the government, you know, the Republicans were holding a gun to our head, but we have to eat.
What if we don't eat?
No, you're supposed to go take the gun away from my head.
And why don't the progressives hold a gun to the corporation's head?
Why didn't the progressives put a hold on this bill in the Senate and hold a gun to the corporation's head and say, you put UBI and Medicare for all.
We are getting health care for Americans right now.
Why don't they do that back?
They'll never do it.
They'll never do it.
They're going to scream and rant about this bill, and then they all fucking voted for it.
And now Trump can say to everybody in any debate or any campaign, what are you fucking talking about?
96% of people, 96% of nothing had passed.
You all voted for it.
What are you talking about?
If it's so horrible, why did you all, not one person voted against it?
And the cheese, that $1,200 check that everybody's saying we have to have is the cheese in the trap.
So you're going to get your head smashed in for a temporary $1,200 payment.
And I understand people are desperate and scared.
That's why the progressive leadership should right now, I'm talking Tulsi Gabbard, AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and whoever else wants that they can, Roe Conna, Ayanna Presley, whoever else considers themselves a real progressive, they should try to be rallying them.
And they should be sending out letters saying we're going on a rent strike and a mortgage strike.
That's what they should be doing right now.
Because the writing's on the wall.
A $1,200 check isn't going to do anything.
And as Dylan Radigan said on this show, I said, well, at least they're not stealing people's houses this time.
And he says they're going to as soon as they can.
As soon as they can kick you out of your house, they're going to kick you out of your house.
So right now, what the progressive movement should be doing is organizing a rent strike and a mortgage strike right now.
You know, in California, they just got the banks to give us a three-month moratorium.
Now, Steph, you were reading something earlier today that said after that three-month moratorium.
What did they say?
Okay, so my sister checked out her mortgage at the credit union here in California, and they said that after three months, you will now have to compensate fully for that amount.
How is that helping me?
Wait a minute, explain it.
So they're going to give me a break for three months.
But on the fourth month, they're going to give you a break by saying that.
When you say they're going to give you a break, what do you mean?
Well, they're making it sound.
What do you mean?
What does that mean?
They're not going to make me pay for three months of three months plus that fourth month.
How does that help me?
So that doesn't, so they're not giving you a break.
That's not a break.
And so right now, all the progressive leaders, I keep getting emails every day.
I get three, four emails a day because I donated to Democratic candidates.
And so now Act Blue and every fucking, everybody has my email and say, I get emails from everybody.
I got emails from Ilhan Omar today.
I get emails from Bernie Sanders.
I get emails from AOC.
I got emails from Elizabeth Warren.
I get emails from a lot of people every day, and not one of them is saying anything useful.
Not one of them has an idea on how to address this crisis.
Not one of them.
They're all touting all the good stuff they got in the bill.
And can you please, well, here, what should be happening right now is there should be some kind of a plan by the progressive leadership.
The plan that I'm suggesting is that they start sending their emails to all their people and we start saying we're going to have a general strike.
First, we're going to do a rent strike and we're going to do a mortgage strike and then we're going to do a general strike until we get UBI and Medicare for all.
If we don't get that out of this unbelievable fucking screwing, and the progressive movement, we're fucking dead.
We're a right-wing country to the hilt anyway.
We got private prisons.
We got private health care that leaves 30 million people out.
We're the world's biggest penal colony.
We're doing a bailout to the fucking, to the richest 1% again.
We did it twice in 12 years.
We have militarized police departments all over the place.
We spend trillions of dollars on bombs for imperialism.
We are an unbelievably terroristic right-wing country.
And right now, whatever is left of the left is doing nothing.
They're fucking telling people I had to vote for this.
And everybody's running around going, thanks.
Thank you.
Everybody.
And the progressive news space is failing.
They're running propaganda for the progressives.
There are no heroes right now.
There are a bunch of progressives not doing a fucking thing.
Not even an idea.
No one's calling out Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer for engineering this bill.
Nobody's calling them out for not having a fucking voice, for having a voice vote instead of everyone's vote being counted and recorded.
No one's calling out the Democratic leadership for this.
Everyone's pretending that this is 100%.
What the Democratic leadership did just now did was give a $4 trillion slush fund to Donald Trump with no oversight.
A guy who they say is working for Putin.
They just did that and they could have stopped it.
They didn't even try not to.
They didn't even vote against it.
They didn't even vote against it.
We got to have a rent strike.
We got to have a mortgage strike.
We got to have a general strike.
And if the progressive, if your progressive leaders aren't calling for that, then you know that they have been fucking had.
Because every progressive who is a Democrat bends the knee to the Democratic Party.
Every one of them.
They all voted for Nancy Pelosi as speaker.
And now Nancy Pelosi is fucking you with this bill.
Oh no, Nancy Pelosi tried to get all this stuff in the bill.
She wrote all that stuff in a way that she knew would never get it in the bill.
And then she didn't have anybody get recorded for this vote.
And no one is going to be held accountable for passing this.
No one.
That's why they had a voice vote in the House.
So no one could be held accountable for this.
I had a headline on a video saying AOC screams against stimulus, then votes for it.
And people are saying, how do you know she voted for it?
Because Nancy Pelosi made sure it was a voice vote.
And she did, was she screaming about the voice vote?
Was she calling out Nancy Pelosi?
If she voted against it, please, if she could tweet that, I would love to correct the record.
But as far as I know, every Democrat supported this.
No matter what grandstanding speeches you saw, they did nothing to oppose this or stop this.
They wouldn't even call out their own leadership over it.
This is a Republican.
The $1,200 checks you're getting is the cheese in the trap.
And what happens when the mouse tries to grab the cheese?
That's what happens.
Get your fucking head smashed in.
And that's what's coming.
So when I turn on Democracy Now and I see Ilhan Omar in a very calm way saying, well, this is why I support the bill.
And she's not screaming her head off.
I know there's something wrong.
And I guess they don't realize what's coming.
I guess they really don't realize what's coming.
Do they not realize what's coming?
They kicked 5.1 million families out of their house the last time this happened.
Families.
5.1 million families.
Not people, families.
Out of their house in the middle of an economic collapse.
That's what Barack Obama did.
In the middle of an economic collapse, they kicked 5.1 million families out of their house.
You don't think that's coming again?
$1,200 doesn't pay anybody's rent in New York or Los Angeles.
I'll fucking tell you that right now.
And the banks are getting paid twice.
The banks are getting your rent and your mortgage, and the banks are also getting a trillion dollars a day.
And you're suckers if you believe your progressive media that tells you there's heroes on the left in this fight.
There aren't any.
There are no heroes.
It is stunning to watch progressive media fall down on the job on this.
It is stunning.
But thanks again for leaving the huge lane open.
What should be happening right now is they should be organizing a rent strike, a mortgage strike, and then a general strike.
Why isn't everybody telling the grocery workers to stay home until we get Medicare for all?
That's what I would be doing if I was a labor leader.
If I was a labor leader, I would say, all my grocery workers stay home until we all get $20 an hour because you know we're essential workers and Medicare for all.
How about that?
What's their hazard pay?
I would tell every FedEx driver, every Amazon worker, I would tell everyone, stay home.
All you got to do is tell Amazon workers.
You don't even need anybody else.
If you can get grocery workers and Amazon workers to stay home for fucking two days, this country is shut down.
And then we get Medicare for all and we get a UBI.
And if we don't get that out of this crisis, I'm moving to fucking France and putting on a yellow vest.
And if I see the progressive media run fucking interference for their progressive leaders who are actively falling down on the fucking job and doing grandstanding bullshit speeches, I will call them out by name.
It's fucking ridiculous what's going on right now.
They are laying down and letting the boot of fucking fascism kick them in the face.
And they're saying, I got no other choice.
They won't even fight.
A little.
96 to nothing had passed.
They won't even fight a little.
Right now, they're saying that Andrew Cuomo should be president.
Andrew Cuomo, who is right now, today, in the middle of a pandemic where thousands of people are dying in his city today because there aren't enough hospital beds because of Andrew Cuomo.
Today, the Democrats are saying he should be president.
And today, he is blocking $9 billion in aid to his city in the middle of this pandemic.
He is, Andrew Cuomo, is Blocking $9 billion in aid to his city right now.
And people are saying he should be president.
That's what's fucking happening today.
And I got fucking Democrat Party apologists coming at me for saying this.
In the middle of the biggest fucking of that's ever happened to America, I'm supposed to shut up.
Democratic Party apologists are doing that all over the place to me.
Everybody shut up.
96 to nothing this past the Senate.
And if you don't think someone sold you out on that, you're a fucking chump.
And you should be screaming at your progressive leaders for not standing up for you.
Why aren't they organizing right now a rent strike?
Why aren't they organizing right now?
Why don't we fucking fight back?
Why don't we fight back?
You see, we got them by the balls.
Every labor leader out there sees that we have them by the balls.
Every labor leader sees that.
Every labor leader sees that we have them by the balls.
Who is essential?
The postman, the UPS driver, the FedEx driver, the Amazon worker, the grocery store employee.
Those are the essential workers.
The pharmacist.
Those are essential employees in the United States.
And all this should all go on a fucking strike until we get Medicare for all in a UBI.
And no one's telling them to do that because we have no leaders.
Because the best we can get is someone who bends his knee to the fucking Democratic Party and the DNC at every turn.
That's what we got.
That's not leadership.
Here's an idea.
Next time I get a fucking email from a progressive organization or a campaign or a cocksucking politician asking me for money, it should include we're going on fucking general strike or a rent strike or a mortgage strike or some kind of an idea on how to fucking fix this problem because they don't have any.
In fact, all they're doing is telling us all the great shit they got done and they got nothing done.
Trump and Mnuchin are laughing their fucking heads off.
And so is Kamala Harris.
Because Kamala Harris was supposed to prosecute that motherfucker and she didn't.
They're laughing at you.
They're laughing at Bernie Sanders and AOC and IANA Press.
They're laughing.
They're like, watch, we're going to get them all to support it.
They're all, don't worry, don't worry.
No one's going to stop this.
None of them.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
In fact, they're all going to go on TV and tell you why they had to vote for it.
Where'd they all go for three weeks now?
Where are they?
They're all at home in their apartments.
There's nowhere to fucking go.
So that's what we should be doing right now.
Guess what?
They're not going to do that because the Democratic leadership doesn't want Bernie to say that.
And they don't want AOC to say that.
And they don't want Ilan Omar to say that or Ayana Presley or Tulsi Gabbard.
They don't want them saying that or Roe Conna or Sherrod Brown, anybody, or Elizabeth Warren, they won't say this and they won't call for this because Nancy Pelosi won't let them.
Why do you think they all voted for this?
Because Nancy Pelosi told them to.
Why did Nancy Pelosi negotiate a better bill?
Because Nancy Pelosi is your enemy.
Why did they vote for them?
Because they're all part of the fucking party.
That's why.
Why was I calling for a third party four years ago so we didn't get in this fucking situation?
And here we are.
There's no opposition.
None.
There's no opposition to this.
None except bullshit grandstanding speeches.
And then I get fucking, my email gets flooded.
My inbox gets flooded with progressive politicians bragging about all the shit they got in this bill.
This is what this bill is.
Whatever they're bragging about, they're bragging about they got you the cheese that's in the trap that's going to get your head fucking smashed in.
Tell me how much they're thankful for your progressive politicians when you get kicked out of your fucking house in three months.
What is the point of having the progressives in fucking power when they don't exercise it ever, ever, ever?
What is the point?
Well, they have to vote for Nancy Pelosi as leader because we'd get someone worse.
What?
What the fuck?
I voted for you so you could go cement Nancy Pelosi to be in power?
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
What is the point?
You know who else asked this question?
What is the point?
This was back last fall.
Progressives in Congress just capitulated on the Patriot Act.
It's time to push back.
If the Congressional Progressive Caucus won't stand up to the military surveillance complex, what is the point?
What is the point?
He was saying this last fall.
The progressives in Congress just capitulated on the Patriot Act.
Time to push back.
The progressives, the progressives voted for it.
The squad.
And my question to all of you right now: what was the point of electing them?
What's the point?
If the Congressional Progressive Caucus won't stand up to the military surveillance complex, what's the point?
There is no point.
Norman Solomon's right.
There is no point.
And I feel like a chump once again.
I doubted my own fucking self from four years ago.
No, no, maybe something's happening.
Maybe they'll be, maybe, maybe, I don't know.
Everybody tells me, everybody tells me I'm wrong.
Everybody tells me that I got to just, everybody tells me I got to work within the Democratic Party.
Everybody tells me.
And here we are.
The biggest fleecing in the history of mankind.
And it's being voted and it's being facilitated by the Democrats.
And your stupid, bad political instincts.
And your capitulating fucking manner and your cowardly approach to politics.
Thank you, sir.
Can I have another approach to politics?
Fuck you.
Go brag about the cheese.
Go brag about the cheese right before the fucking, the trap slams down their fucking heads and you all fucking vote for this shit.

Hello.
Hi, Jimmy.
Miss me up?
No.
You miss all the things that did yet?
No.
But look at the other rapist.
I mean, guy.
Pretty bad, right?
Yes.
Why are you always pushing straight talk and tell around?
He tells it like it is.
Put all that stuff right through his no malarkey filter.
And Shazam.
No more malarkey.
He's the man or woman who can lead us out of this bunch of whipple buff boodle.
Man, I love the way this guy talks.
I'd like a leader competent enough to maybe help stop unnecessarily high death counts.
That's what I'd like.
I know what you mean, Jimmy.
And so's the guy.
Didn't you see him leading today?
His words took my breath away.
Or who the virus did.
I guess we'll find out, right?
See him today do what?
Taking down Donald Trump with words.
Real words and policy.
That's what.
Tell me these words don't inspire you.
And in order to avoid those very high numbers, we have to do at least several things.
One, we have to depend on what the president's going to do right now.
And first of all, he has to tell, wait till the cases before anything happens.
Look, the whole idea is he's got to get in place things that we're shortages of.
Whoa.
Oh, my God.
I know.
You think that's good?
Wait until you see him in the White House leading part two of the Pentagon's Operation Freedom Plague.
What?
Whoops.
I may have violated my Netflix contract for that slip.
Wasn't supposed to talk about that until after my next special.
Forgive me, Netflix.
Suffice it to say that the current economic crisis is fundamentally different than 2008.
For one thing, I didn't do a damn thing to help people then.
Now it's Donald Trump who isn't doing shit.
So no responsibility, no regrets on your part for any of what's happening today.
Timmy, I'll be the first one to admit.
It's not just about pulling up your pants anymore.
About pulling up your pants using gloves.
And guys, you got to wash those damn pants.
Remember the 22nd rule.
What's the 22nd rule?
If your pants fall and touch the floor longer than 20 seconds, get the maid to pull them up.
Ladies?
Not letting you off too easy either.
Stop going to the restroom in pairs.
Before you go, the country could sure use some common sense guidance during this crisis.
How are you and your family practicing social distancing?
Like we always have, by taking shitloads of money from billionaires.
We got a great crossbreeds in Martha's Vineyard, Mofos.
In your face, 95ers.
So I want to show you.
Here's some heroes.
You want to see some heroes?
In the middle of an unprecedented crisis, mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, and the L.A. City Council have given the people of L.A. nothing but lip service and false promises.
City Hall is shut down, so tenants visited the mayor's mansion in Hancock Park to demand he do something.
They tried to get a rent halt and a mortgage halt, and they won't do anything.
The LA City Council fuck off because they're owned by real estate development.
They're owned by guys who are landlords.
They're owned by them.
Okay, and so here's a video.
So then a bunch of people decided to go to his house, the mayor's house, during a pandemic in their cars and protest in front of his house in their cars.
And he lives right over where I used to live, right down the street from where I used to live.
He lives in the nice part.
I lived over in the regular part.
He lives in the really nice part of Hancock Park.
I lived in the regular part.
But here, here, here he is.
The mayor's house.
A lot of people are saying we have an eviction.
So, sir.
Go ahead, baby.
He has a responsibility to the citizens of LA.
And we need him to have no victims, no rights, and no vacancies.
Keep everyone at home now.
Keep everyone at home.
Call the mayor's office and demand a broad moratorium now.
One, complete the complete and absolute eviction moratorium, total rent forgiveness and rent suspension, and end to sweeps of homeless encampments.
And that's the mayor's number, 213-978-1028.
That's the mayor's office of Los Angeles, 213-978-1028.
Call the mayor and demand a broad moratorium now because they're doing nothing.
Our leaders are doing nothing for us.
They're letting us be raped by the mafia.
And who's the mafia that corporate America?
Okay.
So this is being, that was organized by this group of people called LA Tenants Union.
And they're at LA Tenants Union and Twitter.
And they also tweeted this site.
Can you pay your rent on April 1st?
What about May?
How will you pay for your food, for your medications, for your necessities?
What about your neighbors, your family, your friends?
How long will this crisis last?
LA, choose food, choose medications, and choose your future.
Keep your rent.
So food not, hashtag food not rent.
So this is the stuff that Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, AOC, our revolution, brand new Congress, Reverend Barber.
This is what all those people should be doing.
They should be doing this.
They're not doing anything.
I think the next house should be Nancy Pelosi's.
If your landlord tries to make you sign anything, you have no obligation to sign.
So there's lots of they're trying to get people to sign stuff.
Doubly so if it's got Dennis Block's name on it, talk to LA Tenants Union and know your rights, L.A. Tenants Union.
And so evil eviction lawyer Dennis Block is giving landlords a letter template asking tenants to tenants to sign an agreement that they will pay back the rent owed.
Do not sign this agreement.
Tenants are under no legal obligation to sign this agreement.
Do not sign anything from your landlord without first consulting your local tenants union representative.
In solidarity with my local Vermont Beverly VB of the LA Tenants Union with renters all across L.A. And with respect to my financial situation during the COVID-19 epidemic, I submitted a letter to my landlord saying that I am deferring my rent.
Hashtag food not rent hashtag rentstrike2020.
And so that's what the progressive politicians should be doing right now because there's no Congress in session.
There's no nothing.
And so they should be doing that.
I don't know what they're doing, but they're not doing anything useful.
Nothing.
They're not doing anything.
We Covered all the wildcat strikes that have been happening from coast to coast.
And I want to focus on one that happened at Amazon Center in Staten Island.
The coronavirus, Amazon workers strike over virus protection, and then they fired the guy, Christian Smalls, who started the strike.
So they were striking over the fact that they were having unsafe conditions due to the coronavirus.
Amazon, of course, was not meeting any of their needs or demands.
And so they, Christian Smalls, tried to organize a strike and they fired him.
And they said he had received a warning about social distancing rules and was supposed to stay home.
New York State's Attorney General Delticia James said her office was considering all legal options regarding Mr. Smalls' firing.
It is disgraceful that Amazon would terminate an employee who bravely stood up to protect himself and his colleagues, she said.
At a time when so many New Yorkers are struggling and are deeply concerned about their safety, this action was almost immoral and inhuman.
Earlier this month, Mr. Bezos, who's one of the world's richest people with an estimated $115.6 billion fortune, addressed the worries in an open letter to the staff thanking them for their work.
And a group of workers, also at a Jeff Bezos company, Whole Food Supermarket Chain, which is owned by Amazon, planned to walk out on Tuesday, which was yesterday.
Amazon also faced earlier strikes from workers in France and Italy and has been hit by legal complaints over safety concerns in Spain, according to a global alliance of unions coordinated by Uni Global Union.
So now we're going to, by the way, and Bill de Blasio is ordering an investigation into the firing of that employee.
And we have that employee with us right now.
It's Christian Smalls.
Hi, Christian.
How are you?
Hi.
Thanks for having me.
How are you doing?
Good.
So what was it?
Now, you're a supervisor at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Staten Island.
Not anymore.
Well, you were?
Yes.
Right.
Okay.
I was.
Yes.
And so you were having meetings.
You would go in and meet with the management and say, hey, this isn't safe.
That would happen.
How long was that happening?
For weeks.
I've been trying to, I've been trying to raise this awareness for weeks, and I had gotten no response.
And so weeks.
And so no response.
And you don't have masks.
You don't have, and they're not cleaning the facilities at night, correct?
They clean the facilities, but you got to understand, it's a third-party company, and they're human beings just like us.
They're scared.
You know, I talked to them.
They made a plan for 25 of them to come in to clean the building, a 900,000 square feet building that fits 14 NFL bills in it.
25 of them are supposed to be there cleaning, but if half of them don't show up, what are you going to do?
Amazon can't control that.
That's a third-party company.
And if they don't come up, come to work because they're scared, then there's no cleaning.
So you're saying that even the people, the third-party companies who are hired to do janitorial services inside the warehouse, a lot of those people aren't showing up because they're afraid also because they're not going to be protection.
Absolutely.
This is amazing that this is happening.
Okay, so you do organize a protest, not necessarily a strike, right?
So, and, and, and what, can you tell me what happened?
Sure, start from the beginning.
Yeah.
Um, like I said, a couple weeks ago, um, I'll give you some real back history.
Um, we had some managers that went to Seattle for training, uh, beginning of March.
Oh, no, kidding.
Oh, yeah, it gets it gets deep.
I'll explain.
Yeah, some managers out there in Seattle for training.
Um, I know them personally.
Um, I work with them.
Um, they came back to Staten Island.
Um, I'm not trying to say they had the virus, but uh, one plus one is two, you know.
Um, one of them left early because they wasn't feeling well.
And from that moment forward, you know, I noted it, a mental note.
I said, um, yeah, something's going on here because one by one, domino effect, people started getting sick.
And I'm not trying to say that it was them, her per se, but uh, something was wrong.
Something was wrong.
And I immediately went to HR first week of March, and I was like, hey, you guys need to do something.
I advise, let's do a two-week quarantine.
Let's be proactive instead of reactive.
They swept me under the rug.
You know, they pretty much told me because there's no confirmed cases that they're not going to do anything.
And I was like, well, you know, something's wrong here.
Something's wrong here.
I took my stance right there.
You know, I started coming to work less and less.
I stayed home with no pay.
I took money out of my 401k.
And I didn't care about the money at that time.
I was caring about, you know, my health over wealth.
And I decided to work behind the scenes.
I couldn't sit back and do nothing.
I stayed home every day in my room, figure out a way to get people out of that building.
I called and emailed every department in New York, State Department, the CDC, the governor's office, the local police department, OSHA.
I filed the complaint with everybody.
And obviously, we're overwhelmed right now.
And they didn't respond to me.
And I don't blame them.
They have bigger things to handle right now.
But I at least tried.
I tried everything in my power to get those people out of that building.
And I still am.
And so tell me what happened around your firing.
Well, leading up to it, like I said, obviously I've been unpaid for the majority of the month of March.
And I needed at least one check to pay my rent.
So I went back to work this past Tuesday on the 24th.
My colleague, she looked very ill.
Her eyes were bloodshot.
Her eyes were puffy.
It was like nine o'clock in the morning.
I told her, you look sick.
You need to go home.
And that's when she informed me that she actually went and got tested the night before for the coronavirus.
And we all know you don't even get that test unless you're showing severe symptoms.
I said, so they, she's been in the building for a number of days for 10 hours a day.
We work 10 hour shifts around hundreds of people.
And I said, you need to go home now.
And she did.
I escalated that.
I was only having a conversation with her for about five minutes.
She had a mask on.
She had gloves on, but, you know, I only talked to her for less than five minutes.
Two hours later, we have a small sink meeting, our daily sink meeting amongst the managers.
And that's when we learned that we have the first confirmed case of the coronavirus.
An employee contracted on March 11th.
So I said, I looked at the managers, the higher-ups.
I said, what are you doing?
We're closing the building down, right?
We're closing the building down and sanitizing, right?
Just like the building a week before in Queens, New York.
They did that.
They sent everybody home and sanitized the building.
Everybody returned back to work, even though it was less than a day.
I don't agree with that, but they did it at least.
It gave some type of comfort, but they didn't even do that.
They said, no, business as usual.
I said, really?
We're not going to tell the employees.
They said, do not tell them.
We don't want to cause a panic.
So I said, yeah, something's wrong here.
I did not agree with that at all.
I spoke up, and that was the last time I worked for Amazon.
I clocked out at 12 o'clock, and I never, I'm going to say that was the last time they got my services, but I was still an employee, but I wasn't returning to that building to uh to work for them anymore.
Um, I did return to the building every single day at seven o'clock in the morning, and I told the employees the truth out of my free will.
Um, I didn't have to do that, but they needed to know.
These employees have the right to know what is going on.
I don't agree with management keeping it a secret or going to individuals about the coronavirus.
It's in the building, and you're not telling the employees what's going on.
It's very shady, and um, I wasn't, I wasn't on board for that, so they knew what I was doing.
I sat in the cafeteria Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday up to the point where they quarantined me, only me, not my employees that have been around her for 10 hours.
They only quarantined me, and I was around her for less than five minutes.
But going back, she tested positive on Wednesday.
Her results didn't come in.
She wasn't officially quarantined until the documents come over from the doctors on Thursday morning.
So, that's the whole discrepancy with their policy.
You're telling me the employee can actually come back to work with the virus, with the virus, tested positive, and won't be officially placed on quarantine until HR physically receives the document from the doctor's office.
It's crazy.
I'm like, that's very flawed, and it's unbelievable how they will even allow that.
If somebody gets tested for the coronavirus, you put them on quarantine.
I don't care if you believe them or not.
You put them on quarantine until you get the results back.
That's not what the policy is.
You actually can come to work with the coronavirus and work until they receive the physical documentation.
Thank God I was there on Tuesday, and Tuesday is not even my scheduled shift.
I start work on Wednesday, but because we're on mandatory overtime, I had to come in a day earlier.
So, I was just there on my overtime day, and I sent her home.
And I didn't even stay for my overtime day.
I left at 12 o'clock, but thank God I was there.
You know, they're putting it out there as if I put people's lives at risk.
No, then company put people's lives at risk.
I was trying to save lives.
I sent her home immediately and I took my stance.
I came back to, you know, inform the employees what's really going on behind the scenes.
Um, every day, I marched a group of people into the general manager's office to voice our concerns.
We wanted the building closed and sanitized.
Um, and they didn't do that, they didn't do that, they didn't listen.
You know, everything was, oh, we're on a call with the regionals, we're on a call with the regionals.
Who the hell are these regionals?
They're making the wrong decision.
Like, this is your building.
You're the site leader, you're the general manager.
Do something about it.
And nothing was done, so I had to take action.
Um, it forced me to mobilize the walkout, and that's exactly what I did.
So, and they retaliated by firing you for getting people to walk out, absolutely, less than two hours, man.
Man.
Sorry, that's okay.
It's all right, yeah, you know.
Um, I don't know why this is happening, you know, a week ago, my life was different, but uh, you know, I don't know how it came together.
I really don't, I still don't know what's going on here, but I'm sorry, Timmy.
No, no problem, Chris.
I understand it.
Your life is being turned upside down.
You got responsibilities, stuck your chin out, you got fired, now you got bills to pay like everybody, and everybody's worried.
And uh, this is exactly why we're having you on, and we're gonna have on a labor leader after you to talk about how we can all come together and protect ourselves right now and protect people like you.
So, the good thing is, you're you're getting a lot of press on this.
So, now a lot of people in power are aware of your situation.
And so, um, you know, it seems like you'll there'll probably be some relief for you and your family.
So, that there'll probably be, I don't know, but it's you're certainly, you know, you certainly, there's a lot of people who are now coming to your defense and helping you get the word out.
There's powerful people in New York who are aware of it.
And now, the mayor says he's going to order an investigation into what you're firing.
So, that's way more than a lot of people get.
So, that's a positive on this.
And it's certainly horrible that you have to go through this.
It's horrible that you got fired.
It's horrible that we live in a country that allows a billionaire who could pay for everything many times over to abuse his workers like this.
That's why I'm trying to organize people right now to see what we can do in solidarity because we can't just leave it to individuals like you or individual Amazon fulfillment centers.
We have to have a nationwide strike right now, and we have to get protection for our workers because you're essential.
You're an essential worker.
You know who isn't?
Jeff Bezos is an essential worker.
That you're essential.
We need you.
We need growth.
Yeah, I hope that's essential.
And I'm sorry, but you know, like I said, this is about life or death.
And the country needs to wake up.
There's an Amazon building in every major city, every state, all across the nation.
You think about it.
It's 500,000 employees.
God forbid, we all become carriers of this virus.
I know.
God forbid.
And there's 5,000 employees in my building right now that come in and out weekly.
We're the epic center of New York.
New York got awake.
New York got to wake up.
These people come from all five boroughs, two different states.
We don't know their diagnosis and we're working there unsafe.
And I'm giving these people a voice that can't speak up.
There's people that was in my protest that have lupus, that have bronchitis, that have severe asthma, pregnant.
They got infant babies at home.
Myself, I haven't seen my kids in two months.
We working here.
We're the ones that have the power.
And the people need to know that we stop working.
Jeff Bezos don't make these billions.
That's right.
He needs to stop comparing us to the Red Cross.
Stop calling us heroes.
We're regular people.
My job description said have a high school diploma and a GD and lift 50 pounds.
It didn't say work during the pandemic and put your life at risk.
It didn't say none of that.
We didn't sign up for that.
You know, that's the medical field.
They deserve to, they're the real heroes.
We're not protected.
The PPE is scarce.
It doesn't protect us at all.
We don't have no mask.
The gloves are not latex.
The safety guidelines are not working.
And that's what they need to realize.
It's not no secret.
The buildings all across the nation right now with a case, multiple cases.
And the red flag is last night when I was on Chris Haynes' show.
I did that interview at 8.45.
For the first time ever, the first time the entire month, the company decides to send out a mass text at 8.55 informing the associates that there's a coronavirus in their building, multiple buildings in the bulk of Cases.
So I exposed them and they're trying to cover their tracks right now.
And it's ridiculous.
You're going to, our lives are expendable to the point where you don't have no transparency between your employees.
No, shame on them.
And, you know, they should be prosecuted.
They need to be held accountable.
You're playing with human lives and it's blood money.
And everybody, if you want to practice real social distancing, stop clicking the button.
Stop clicking the button, America, the world.
Stop clicking the button.
You might be saving some lives.
And that's my message with them.
And that's what I say to them.
Okay.
Well, Chris, I really appreciate you taking time out.
And, you know, real tip of the hat for you, sticking your chin out, doing the right thing.
It's amazing what this crisis is revealing about our culture and our country and what we value and what we don't.
And so we're going to keep, we'll stay in touch with you.
We'll follow your story.
And I hope you stay in touch with us.
And we wish you all the best of luck, buddy.
Thank you for having me.
I appreciate it.
Okay.
And if you ever have something you want us to talk about on the show, just give me a call.
We'll bring you on.
No problem.
We'll do it.
Be safe, y'all.
Take care.
Bye-bye.
And they passed the relief bill with absolutely no relief for that guy.
And the guy and the people who are screwing him right now, it's going to empower them, the stimulus bill.
And I'm calling right now, and I've been for the last couple days calling for our progressive leaders who aren't doing a goddamn thing.
And I'm talking all the progressive leaders who are Justice Democrats.
I'm talking about Bernie Sanders.
I'm talking about Sherrod Brown.
I'm talking about Elizabeth Warren.
They're not doing anything.
And they should be organizing and they should be reaching out to unions right now and organizing a strike so we can get Medicare for all right now.
So that this is our leverage.
And so now the problem with progressives is they never fight.
They never use their leverage ever, ever.
And so I'm calling on them.
And if, and if, and if people like our revolution and brand new Congress and Bernie Sanders and the Poor People's Revolution and whoever else, Elizabeth Warren, if they don't want to use their email lists and their power to organize workers, I will ask them to send me their email list and I'll start sending out emails to everyone telling them to go on a rent strike and a mortgage strike and then a general strike.
Because that's what, by the way, that's what it's going to take to fix climate change, a kind of massive action like this.
So this is practice.
And so right now we need leaders.
And I know Bernie's not that kind of a leader.
So I'm saying, give me your fucking email list.
I'll tell people with the stay home to go on a rent strike and a mortgage strike and fuck this system and bring it to its knees.
I'll tell the grocery workers and the truck drivers.
Imagine if you could just organize the truck drivers, the Teamster, just to stop.
I'm going to bring on a guy from the Teamsters in a couple of minutes.
And I'm going to ask them what their plans are.
Imagine if just the truck drivers in this country stop for a day, the whole goddamn country stops.
If the grocery store workers stop for a day, the whole fucking country stops.
If Amazon and UPS and FedEx drivers stop for a day, the whole country stops.
We have all the power.
This is how you take power.
This is how you take power.
And not one progressive leader is doing fucking anything.
All they're doing is whining online.
I've been told that Bernie Sanders is working on a fourth stimulus bill.
Oh, that's fantastic.
Now you have absolutely no fucking leverage.
Now you're going to go after the stuff that you were supposed to go after in the other, the last stimulus bill that you voted for unanimously after you gave a grandstanding speech.
I hope Bernie Sanders is going to do another fucking stimulus bill.
That's not enough.
In order to get a stimulus bill that helps us, he has to leverage his power.
What is his power?
His following, his email list, his ability to organize, to get people to shut shit down.
And so it's up to us to pressure him and pressure Elizabeth Warren and Sherrod Brown and AOC and Rashida Talib and RoCanna and Tulsi Gabbard, whoever fuck else thinks that they're a progressive.
We're supposed to be pressuring them.
You don't support them when they're not fucking doing anything for you.
Support them?
I'm supporting them because I want them to institute their policies and find a way to get them implemented right now.
That's how you support them by pressuring them to fucking do something.
Right now, what AOC and all the squad are doing are listening to Nancy Pelosi.
They're taking orders from Nancy Pelosi.
And they're not calling Nancy Pelosi out because she engineered this screwing of you.
And you know what Nancy Pelosi's next big idea is?
To cut state taxes for the wealthiest people again.
She is not doing anything for you.
And your progressive leaders who you elected aren't all, they are also not doing a fucking thing.
Nothing.
They're giving grandstanding speeches and they're tweeting bullshit.
They're not doing anything.
Today's the first.
People are scared to death.
Did you see that guy crying?
What is fucking Bernie Sanders doing for that guy?
Is he calling all the labor leaders right now and telling them to have a general strike so we can get Medicare for all?
$20 minimum wage, UBI, student aid relief right now, a fucking mortgage foreclosure freeze, a eviction freeze.
That's what we need right now.
There are strikes happening all over this country.
Where is our progressive leaders to bring these people together and have an organized strike?
They won't do it.
They won't do it because Nancy Pelosi won't let them.
Chuck Schumer won't let them.
And so I'm doing what I can.
I'm telling people not to pay their rent, don't pay their mortgage.
But people can't do that individually.
It scares the shit out of people.
So we have to do that collectively.
And we need leadership to do that.
We need people who have email lists to do that.
We need people who have power.
We need people who have followings.
Yeah, I have 700,000 subscribers on YouTube.
I get about 14 million views a month.
I'm doing what I can.
I'm telling people to do this.
My power is to pressure leaders.
And there's nobody on the progressive left who's pressuring anybody in the progressive leadership right now.
They're all still running around telling them all the great things they did, which are lies.
That's a lie.
If somebody in progressive media tells you the great shit that a progressive leader did for you in the last week or two, they're fucking lying.
And they don't want to hurt your feelings.
So you still watch their fucking shows.
So go ahead and watch them.
But I'm going to tell you the truth of what's happening here.
And I'm going to tell you the truth of what needs to be happening.
And I'm going to tell you the unbelievable failure of your progressive fucking elected leaders is stunning.
Stunning.
There are no heroes.
And anybody who tells you that there are heroes right now in the progressive movement are gaslighting you for views.
And that's exactly what they're not doing anything and no one from the sanders campaign will even return an email or a text or a phone call hey what are your plans What are your plans right now?
I'm asking everybody I can inside the Bernie Sanders campaign, what are your plans?
And I was, you know, I know you're not allowed to talk to me and you'll get in trouble.
That's what I'm telling them.
Everybody in the Sanders campaign, I know you'll get in trouble.
You have to ask permission.
Would you please ask permission?
Because it's kind of important.
Oh, man.
Liam Neeson's calling me.
Hello.
Jimmy, I don't want you to say a word.
Do you understand?
Yes.
Shut up.
Okay, guess who this is?
I'll give you three chances.
Ready?
Is it Liam Neeson?
Liam Neeson?
Or Charo?
It's Liam Neeson.
That's weird.
I would have thought you'd go with Charo.
