Revelation in the News
00:03:51
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Today, our special guest is Terry Squires. | |
| Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo de la Vega. | |
| And now, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Hello, friends. | |
| You're watching the PTL Television Network. | |
| It's exciting. | |
| You have tuned in with us today. | |
| Mondo, we have an exciting guest, really a friend to the ministry, Terry Squires, with us. | |
| Before we dive into that, I want to give a quick update on Pastor Jim's health. | |
| We've got a lot of letters. | |
| We've gotten a lot of emails about it. | |
| And, you know, I think we've both got to interact with him, talk with him, but he's doing wrong, doing well. | |
| His mind is strong. | |
| Yeah, that's what I always tell people. | |
| You know, people always think, you know, what does he say? | |
| What did he say last time? | |
| 12 strokes? | |
| 12 plus one more, 13. | |
| That's what he said. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And so, you know, obviously, we're not there for all of them, but every time they happen, he calls us. | |
| Mondo, it doesn't even sound like on the phone that anything has happened. | |
| He's still vibrant. | |
| He's still, you know, talking about the news. | |
| He's still yelling about the TV. | |
| He's still all the different things. | |
| And he's in good health. | |
| And he's keeping his spirits up as well. | |
| I spoke to him last night for about two hours and he talked for two hours. | |
| Come on. | |
| I got a few words in, but that told me his cognitive is still there. | |
| His thought process is still there. | |
| You know, we're discussing several things, but it's just unbelievable how the mind can be rewired after having a stroke. | |
| That's right. | |
| And a lot of it, I tell you what, a lot of it is just understanding who you are in Christ, understanding that the word is what keeps your life going. | |
| That's right. | |
| You know, even though life hits you hard, the word is what remains steady. | |
| Amen. | |
| Continue to pray for him. | |
| Continue to pray for his health. | |
| Continue to pray for good, strong bones. | |
| You know, he's 85 years old. | |
| He'll be 86 at the beginning of 2026, but he still has a lot of life to live. | |
| We continue to remind him: you are a voice to this generation. | |
| You are not an echo. | |
| So, friends, continue to pray for your friend, the founder of the PTL television network, Jim Baker, because I know every time we talk to him, I don't know about you, but every time he talks to me, all he wants to know is, how are we treating the partners? | |
| Yes. | |
| That's always what the conversation boils back down to. | |
| He said, you know, how are you taking care of the partners? | |
| Are you calling them? | |
| Are you writing them? | |
| I'm calling for Revelation in the news. | |
| Oh, yeah, it's true. | |
| You know, and I want to tell you something. | |
| There's a lot going on in Revelation in the news. | |
| And I hope you're keeping your eyes and ears open to what's happening right now. | |
| You know, one of the things that is in his heart right now is what's happening in New York City with the mayors. | |
| Yes. | |
| And this new mayor that is running to be the mayor of New York City is really, for the first time in America, we have seen socialism and communism really play out right before our eyes. | |
| And America better wake up because we're going to wake up to a different America if we're not careful. | |
| That's right. | |
| And there's a lot of people that have the same belief of socialism here in America. | |
| But when you think of socialism, you have to go back and realize what does Venezuela look like? | |
| What does Cuba look like? | |
| Just to give you some examples. | |
| And that's the kind of ideology that is at play right now. | |
| In the midterms, it's going to be so incredible because it's going to be a lot of important issues on the table. | |
| But we have to understand that revelation in the news is what's developing right now. | |
| It is absolutely what's developing right now. | |
| Friends, it is important that you stay plugged in to what is happening. | |
| You say, well, I don't want to get political. | |
| I don't want to do this. | |
| Well, I don't want to do that. | |
| But whenever you wake up and America looks different, then you can't complain if you were not in the fight, if you weren't doing something for it, if you're not contending for the next generation. | |
|
Terry Squires' Journey
00:08:03
|
|
| Today, we have with us Terry Squires, and that is someone who is really contending for the next generation. | |
| She's not only an author, Mondo, I mean, honestly, a veteran author. | |
| That is exactly how I'm going to say it. | |
| She has done so much. | |
| She's a television host, and she's a creator of many gift products for young teens and young kids. | |
| And we're going to be talking about something she's done today. | |
| But Terry, I want to say thank you for being on the broadcast. | |
| Thank you for being with us. | |
| I think maybe from Nashville, somewhere there close to the Midwest. | |
| Ricky, hi, Mondo. | |
| Welcome to Nashville. | |
| There we go. | |
| So good to see you all. | |
| You host a program called Today's Nashville. | |
| And this is focusing on what, the grand old Opry legends. | |
| Is that correct? | |
| It is. | |
| It's called Today's Nashville. | |
| This is Faith. | |
| And God has opened up that door. | |
| I get to go in and talk to the grand old Opry legends, country music artists, Christian music artists, authors, pastors, political. | |
| We've had actors. | |
| It's just been an amazing time to just share the faith of others and their stories. | |
| Because you know what? | |
| We all have a story, don't we? | |
| Amen. | |
| I want to talk about something that you have created that is incredible. | |
| It's called Ancient Heroes. | |
| So tell us what this is and why did you create it? | |
| You know, I created this is the product that really launched me into the Christian world. | |
| I had nothing, I had no idea what I was doing. | |
| I went to school. | |
| I became a registered nurse. | |
| I was, you know, help healing the physical heart. | |
| And God pulled me into this world of publishing and creating. | |
| And Ancient Heroes is the first project I ever did years ago. | |
| And it was a set of trading cards. | |
| My kids were trading X-Men cards. | |
| And now today, you know, you have Pokemon. | |
| And, and, and I just didn't like the message that it was portraying. | |
| So I went back to the store and I said, have you created any really cool Bible heroes? | |
| And the guy just looked at me like I was crazy. | |
| And so it gave me an idea and nobody had done it. | |
| But during that time, I started doing other things, writing different books. | |
| And so I kind of shelved that project for many, many years. | |
| And then about a year and a half ago, my husband Ted, who you know very well, said, Terry, it's time to pick this project back up. | |
| And so we dusted off the files. | |
| We looked at the artwork. | |
| We wrote all the updated all the text on the back and relaunched the ancient heroes of the Bible. | |
| And it's been an exciting journey so far. | |
| Tell us about your personal walk of faith because obviously you have to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. | |
| You want to be pushing this out to the next generation. | |
| So what does your relationship with Christ look like that leads us to this beautifully woven story of now you're creating something the next generation can pursue Christ with in a fun way? | |
| You know, my story in my ministry has always been about the power of one, how one person can make a difference in your life and you can reach millions through that person. | |
| I was raised in Indiana. | |
| I have two older sisters. | |
| My mom and dad, they weren't expecting any more children. | |
| And then all of a sudden she gets pregnant. | |
| Not with one, not with two, but three. | |
| And so we were a surprise. | |
| I'm one of three, except it's me and two boys. | |
| And, you know, life was good. | |
| We weren't a church going family. | |
| I didn't know really anything about the Lord. | |
| And then about age 10, like so many other people, our family was hit with divorce. | |
| My mom went one way, my dad went another way. | |
| And we just didn't really fit either way, you know, and in each family, you know, we were dealing with new parents, new step parents, new siblings. | |
| And it was a really difficult time for me as a young teenage girl, preteen. | |
| I really didn't have that person to tell me what was right, what was wrong, didn't know the Lord. | |
| But one day I walked past a Bible that stood in the center. | |
| It was on a pedestal in our home. | |
| Nobody read it. | |
| It was the center of our home, but it wasn't the center of our life. | |
| But I picked it up and I took it to my room and I started reading the Bible, not knowing who Jesus was, didn't know anything about the Israelites, Moses, Abraham, nothing. | |
| But I would take that Bible, read it, put it back, and try not to mess up the pages because I didn't know that you weren't supposed to touch the Bible. | |
| But I felt a pull on my life at that point. | |
| And I knew that the Lord was protecting me because of our circumstances at the age of 17, I left home. | |
| I didn't, and my brothers did too. | |
| They had two years of high school. | |
| I had a year of high school, had no idea what I was going to do or who was going to take me in or what. | |
| I was going to quit school. | |
| And I was a swimmer at that time. | |
| And I was a very good swimmer. | |
| I went to state. | |
| And the only person that really encouraged me and told me I was doing a great job and proud of me was my swim coach and his family. | |
| And he had found out that I had left and got a hold of me and said, come stay with me, stay with our family. | |
| He had a wife and three little girls. | |
| Let me get you through college. | |
| And you just can't quit. | |
| You can possibly go on a swimming scholarship. | |
| And that's what happened. | |
| I went to a university, swam for them, became a registered nurse. | |
| And like I said earlier, I always had that desire to heal people. | |
| And I was pulled into doing open heart surgery, emergency surgery, ICU, but it was all surrounded around the heart. | |
| And then years later, God said, I'm done with you healing the physical hearts. | |
| I want you to start chasing after the spiritual hearts. | |
| And that's when the Lord just opened up my life. | |
| I gave my life while I was a teenager. | |
| I knew I loved the Lord. | |
| I don't know why he loved me, but he did. | |
| And he said, your life belongs to me now. | |
| You know, the power of a testimony is so real. | |
| And when you share that, there's a lot of people watching that also felt like you did at that moment. | |
| And this is why we do this program. | |
| This is why we try to do everything we can on social media. | |
| And there's thousands of people, if not millions of people, that still haven't heard the message of the gospel. | |
| And when you talk about opening up the Bible for the first time, what hero of the faith inspired you personally? | |
| Oh, what hero? | |
| They all inspire me. | |
| And I think that's so important to get into the word of God because from Genesis to Revelation, you know, it all points to Jesus. | |
| And I love all the heroes of the Bible because you know what? | |
| God uses them, flaws and all, just like us. | |
| None of us are perfect, but God will use us and he will shape us and form our character that will give him honor and glory. | |
| So, of course, you know, the Lord Jesus Christ, but just all the heroes, all the everyone that God chose, he had a plan and a purpose. | |
|
Miracle Molecule Matters
00:02:57
|
|
| And that is so important for us to know because he has a plan and a purpose for our lives. | |
| It might just be that one person, you know, in your neighborhood or the stranger walking down the street. | |
| But you can make a difference in somebody else's life if you just follow the Lord and give him glory. | |
| And then if you're walking past the Bible like I did years ago as a young teenager, pick it up. | |
| Start reading it. | |
| God's promises and his faithfulness. | |
| It's the same today. | |
| It's truth. | |
| It's God's truth for our lives. | |
| We'll be right back after this special message. | |
| If you have a heart, you need nitric oxide. | |
| Even the University of Florida called nitric oxide the spark of life in the cell. | |
| This miracle molecule is essential for cardiovascular health, improving blood flow, lowering blood pressure, and boosting your energy. | |
| So what it does, it's balancing the neurotransmitters. | |
| It's increasing blood flow throughout the body. | |
| It's protecting you from the number one killer of everybody, which is cardiovascular disease. | |
| With Cardio Miracle, you're unlocking the potential for extraordinary health and vitality. | |
| Again, we have to feed our brains. | |
| And so this not only feeds the brain with the appropriate ingredients and nutrition, but also the blood flow. | |
| You know, for instance, you out there, you know, when you stand up and you get dizzy and you feel like you want to fall, especially the older population, we have hip fractures and things. | |
| It's because we're not getting enough of the hydration that we need. | |
| So the water, but also the blood flow dynamics shift over time. | |
| And so the nitric oxide helps to even that out because you're getting the nutrition you need. | |
| And again, the nitric oxide and getting that blood flow, the pressure head of blood to your brain. | |
| Take it before your workout, take it after your workout, receive the benefits. | |
| It's amazing. | |
| Cardio Miracle is a winner and it's worth a try. | |
| So give it a shot. | |
| Call us today, 1-888-988-1588. | |
| Or visit our website, jimbakershow.com or scan the QR code on your screen to order Cardio Miracle and enjoy exclusive savings. | |
| Elevate your life with the power of Cardio Miracle today. | |
| And now, back to the show. | |
| Yesterday, today, and forever, the truth is the truth from, like she said, Genesis chapter one, Revelation, chapter 22. | |
| The truth is still the truth. | |
| I think this is incredible. | |
| Walk us through this right now because what I'm holding right now is the ancient heroes playing cards. | |
|
Ancient Heroes Trading Cards
00:14:01
|
|
| And you can get these at ancientheroesofthebible.com. | |
| That's your website. | |
| You created this. | |
| Tell me, when somebody gets this, you can see it on the screen there. | |
| What are they able to do with this? | |
| These are playing cards. | |
| Do you intend for people to trade them? | |
| They're trading cards. | |
| And this set, this is the first set we did, set of 48 cards. | |
| We focus on, like this set focus on six major characters of the Old Testament, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Gideon, Deborah, David, and the characters around their story. | |
| And so, again, it's just like the baseball cards. | |
| We show the character on the front, the story on the back, but then we also have questions about the Bible on each single card. | |
| And we also, on some of our cards, we have a QR code that takes you to the website and it takes you through the journey. | |
| It's called the journey and it's from Genesis to Revelation, the introduction to the Bible, all the books of the Bible. | |
| We had the warfare trivia game, which is the ancient map of Israel. | |
| So you click the star of the card and it'll pop up and ask questions about Abraham or Moses or Sarah or Gideon. | |
| So we are starting to do a lot more interactive concepts with the cards. | |
| We're working on set two, which will be the story of Ruth through the birth of Jesus and to his miracles. | |
| Amen. | |
| You know, this is something that, do you foresee this being like a homeschool resource as well? | |
| I think it's for homeschooling. | |
| It's for just kids of all ages. | |
| We have collectors, adult collectors that are collecting them. | |
| And we offer them in a couple of different ways. | |
| We offer them in the individual packs, eight cards per pack. | |
| And we have a way of knowing which pack the person's getting if they want to get the complete set. | |
| But a lot of people will want the complete set. | |
| So we offer them in a hard plastic cover, all 48 cards. | |
| And so they can get them at different individual packs because a lot of people use them for stocking stuffers or, you know, like I said, giveaways for vacation Bible school, Sunday school, churches, and homeschooling. | |
| You know, what kind of impact? | |
| Because you said you've passed these out before. | |
| You said they call you the trading card lead. | |
| What kind of feedback have you gotten from this? | |
| Well, you know what? | |
| I told Ted, I said, we have to be very careful with how much we order because sometimes if I, you know, talk about it, even like here, we sell out really quick. | |
| So, but we're going slow with it. | |
| But the kids, I know last year we started, we just printed our first print run and they were like screeching, like, I got trading cards when they came to our door because I don't think a lot of them really, you know, they're expecting candy. | |
| And so I always turn on the porch light, be that light. | |
| It's dark out there and our world needs the light of the Lord. | |
| Wow. | |
| Listen, you, where can people order the cards? | |
| If you're thinking about Christmas, Thanksgiving is coming along. | |
| We want you to order this. | |
| Miss Terry, where can people order the cards? | |
| Well, they can just go to the website, theancientheroesofthebible.com. | |
| They can get them there. | |
| And I also want to talk to that we started a five-minute bedtime podcast and to share the story that relates to us today. | |
| Like, for instance, Abraham and his faith and just getting up, walking away, you know, from his hometown because God called him. | |
| And we talk about how that relates to us today. | |
| Would you just pack up? | |
| Would you just go? | |
| And so that's been a lot of fun. | |
| We just started it a couple weeks ago, and it's called the Ancient Heroes of the Bible Bedtime Podcast. | |
| Amen. | |
| Imagine five minutes to build, edify, to encourage your children's faith right before they go to bed. | |
| They can sit, dream, dwell on the things of the Lord Mondo. | |
| Give them encouragement really for the next day even to be the hero of faith for their generation. | |
| Because while there's the Old Testament, the New Testament, that's not where the heroes of faith have ended. | |
| We've seen modern day heroes of faith. | |
| We've seen the Smith Wigglesworths. | |
| We've seen the Billy Grahams. | |
| We've seen all these men, these Catherine Kuhlmans, the men and women who are still modern day, really. | |
| I mean, talking heroes of the faith, that's why I think it's incredible. | |
| And letting them know it doesn't take a extraordinary person. | |
| It takes an ordinary person saying yes to the call of God to become a hero of the faith. | |
| You know, if you're a Bible teacher, especially when you're dealing with kids, you want to be able to have hands-on. | |
| And I love this because kids don't like lecturing and meaning they don't like to be lectured. | |
| How'd you find that out? | |
| Because I have kids. | |
| And kids don't like to be lectured, but they do like to be shown and walk through the process. | |
| And I want to tell you something, this will be a perfect gift if you're a children's pastor, if you're dealing with kids in your neighborhood and you're trying to reach them for the Lord. | |
| Use it as an evangelism tool to be able to just give away that it's going to inspire kids to go back and learn about the history of the Bible. | |
| And today, there's very little Bible, even in churches today. | |
| And I want to tell you something. | |
| We got to inspire the next generation to learn about the Bible characters, to learn about the history, not just because it's important, but it's because it's going to go into their hearts. | |
| And as they get older, that word will be hidden there. | |
| And anytime they face problems and troubles, and by the way, children today, Ricky, are facing more difficult issues than any other time in history due to social media. | |
| At a younger age, too. | |
| You know, now we're seeing children with phones as young as six, seven years old. | |
| And now there is a slew of influence that is trying to fight for their attention. | |
| That is what's happening right now is every time they turn on that phone, open up the social media app, go on whatever website that they're going on, something is fighting for their attention. | |
| We as parents, you as grandparents, need to make sure that you are helping them put something in their mind that will edify them, that will grow their faith in Jesus Christ. | |
| And I believe this is an excellent way of doing that. | |
| So I want to talk about the future of this. | |
| I mean, do you plan on expanding this to continue to create more? | |
| I want to know what are the long-term plans for ancient heroes of the Bible. | |
| Well, we are going slow, but our plans are. | |
| We are working on the second set. | |
| And I want to do the third set, of course, with the crucifixion, the risen of Jesus, and Revelation. | |
| Love to do Revelation. | |
| So we are planning to continue with it, telling the stories, growing the interactive website and see where God leads it. | |
| We're just walking by faith and seeing where the ancient heroes of the Bible will land. | |
| Amen. | |
| So I would say if you're a grandparent, parent, somebody, a teacher even, Mondo, you know, a children's school pastor, this is a great resource for that. | |
| I know in our church here, we have children's ministry. | |
| And I think this would be a great resource even for that, where you kind of pull out a card and then explain who that person is, why are they significant into the word of God. | |
| And also one thing I've noticed is every single card has a reading manual attached to it as well. | |
| It says, you know, read Galatians 3, read Romans 3, read Isaiah 40, read, you know, Ephesians 2 and Hebrews 11. | |
| Why did you put that on there? | |
| You didn't just put the story of the character, but you also put reading references. | |
| Why was that important to you? | |
| Well, it goes back to what we talked a little bit earlier is that the Old Testament characters, they point to Jesus. | |
| So I wanted to get them, the kids back into the Word of God, into the Bible. | |
| So they do have scriptures from the New Testament and Jesus and his salvation and his faith that relates to the characters in the Bible, the Old Testament, because it all points to the Lord Jesus Christ. | |
| Amen. | |
| Isn't that beautiful, Mondo? | |
| It all does that. | |
| I mean, there's nothing that doesn't point us back to the Creator and his love for us, sending his only son to die on a cross for us. | |
| Mondo, there are people right now who are living life and they may have known Jesus at one point, but they've fallen away from the faith or they've never known Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. | |
| They're watching this right now. | |
| They're saying, you know what? | |
| Maybe there is something about this. | |
| What would you say to them right now in this moment? | |
| You know, I would say don't give up. | |
| Don't give up on faith. | |
| Don't give up on God and allow your mind to really understand those Bible stories when you were a kid and what it means today. | |
| And I believe that when you hear of stories and testimonies, Ricky, of someone getting saved because of a pamphlet that was left at grandma's house or a little card that someone gave to them during a restaurant meeting, I believe that this tools over here that you're holding in your hands, the cards can be so significant to someone that finds themselves lonely. | |
| You know, we live in a generation that depression and loneliness and anxiety is rampant. | |
| But I want to tell you something. | |
| Sometimes the smallest things is what makes the difference. | |
| And if you're struggling right now, I want to urge you to be reminded that God loves you. | |
| He died for you on the cross. | |
| He sent his only begotten son so you and I can be forgiven of our sins. | |
| But most importantly, for you not to stay in the place where you are today. | |
| If you're battling loneliness, if you're battling, you know, mental health issues that are really speaking death over you. | |
| I want to tell you that he came to give life and life abundantly. | |
| Amen. | |
| You're not alone in this journey. | |
| We are all in it together. | |
| You heard, Miss Terry, we all have a story. | |
| You're not the only one. | |
| But remember this, that God created a path for you to walk through to surrender. | |
| And sometimes the hardest thing to do is to surrender your thoughts, to surrender your sin, to surrender your habits before him. | |
| But I'm telling you, when you surrender to him and you give it to him, he would turn your life around and transform you into what he designed you to be. | |
| Don't give up today. | |
| Ancientheroesofthebible.com. | |
| If somebody wants to order these, how can they order them? | |
| Is it a single pack? | |
| Is it multiple? | |
| Can I get all of them at the exact same time? | |
| Because me and Monday, I'm a little impatient. | |
| I don't know if I want to order one pack at a time and try to figure out which ones I have. | |
| I think I want to get them all at one time. | |
| How does that look like? | |
| And how can I do that? | |
| Well, you can order them individual packs, but we know that if you order all six of them, we know you're going to get the full complete set. | |
| Or you can order them without the foil in the hardback plastic container. | |
| A lot of people like the complete set. | |
| Other people like the foil pack. | |
| So it just depends. | |
| Amen. | |
| I guess it's user preference. | |
| And I think that's incredible. | |
| Friends, we want to give you resources to help you, to help your grandchildren, to help your nieces, nephews, sons, and daughters. | |
| Ancientheroesofthebible.com. | |
| Friends, like Mondo said, if you haven't given your life to Jesus, today is the best day. | |
| If you need someone to help you pray the salvation prayer, if you need someone to help you pray the dedication, a rededication prayer, call our number. | |
| It's 1-888-988-1588 or go to ptl.tv. | |
| We have a contact us form there. | |
| We want to be a part of this. | |
| Mondo, we'll even help them find a good Bible-believing church in their area, no matter where you are in the United States of America. | |
| We want you to get plugged in. | |
| We want you to be a part of a community. | |
| Because Mondo, what I found is that whenever people are not a part of community, it's easier to fall into the anxiety. | |
| It's easier to fall into the loneliness, into the depression. | |
| But when you have community around you, those who say, let's get up and let's run this race together, it seems you can run a little bit longer, doesn't it? | |
| Seems you can fight a little bit harder. | |
| And friends, we want you to fight this good fight until the very end. | |
| Give your life to Jesus. | |
| It'll be the best decision you have ever made. | |
| And thank you for continuing to stand with the PTL Television Network with the Jim Baker Family Show with your financial support every single month. | |
| That means the world to us. | |
| And that allows us to continue to broadcast the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. | |
| It's because of you, our partners, that we can continue to do that. | |
| If it wasn't for you, there would be no Mondo up here, no Ricky up here. | |
| We'd be preaching somewhere else, but it wouldn't be on this platform. | |
| So I want to say thank you so much from the bottom of our heart from your friend, Pastor Jim Baker. | |
| It means the world to us that you support us month after month so we can tell people Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven and he has a plan and a purpose for your life. | |
| Miss Terry Squires, I want to say thank you for being on the broadcast with us today. | |
| Thank you for showing us Ancient Heroes of the Bible. | |
| If you want to go order this, go to ancientheroesofthebible.com. | |

| This is an incredible way to spread the gospel in a fun and very meaningful way. | |
| We love you guys. | |
| That's all the time we have for today. | |
| I want to say this, as Pastor Jim always says, never forget this. | |
| God loves you. | |
| He really does. | |
| Bye-bye for today. | |
| Thank you so much. | |
| God bless you. | |
| Thanks, brother. | |
