Biblical Battles and Prophecy
00:15:06
|
|
| Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show. | |
| Today, Dinesh D'Souza talks about his new film, The Dragon's Prophecy. | |
| Our co-host today is Mondo de la Vega. | |
| And now, here is your host, Pastor Ricky Baker. | |
| Today I have with me, she just ran up here. | |
| This is, who are you? | |
| Jacqueline. | |
| Jacqueline, Jacqueline, can you tell them how old you are? | |
| Five. | |
| My daughter, Jacqueline, she is five years old. | |
| As you know, I was actually five years old when I was brought into, I was four, but I was just about to turn five when Pastor Jim Baker adopted me. | |
| He brought me in and immediately threw us on television. | |
| So we're doing the same thing for our next kids. | |
| Jacqueline, you've been memorizing a Bible verse. | |
| It's 2 Timothy 3.16. | |
| Do you know what it says? | |
| She says, no. | |
| She just quoted it this morning. | |
| It says, all scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. | |
| She was able to say it this morning. | |
| I understand. | |
| I get like that too. | |
| When I go to preach on Sunday, sometimes I feel like I've quoted the scripture all week long in preparation for this. | |
| And I'll get up and look at the church and I'll say, okay, let me read the scripture for you guys. | |
| So, Jacqueline, you want to give them a big, big goodbye? | |
| Goodbye. | |
| There we go. | |
| Go back to your mommy right there. | |
| Don't forget to. | |
| Don't forget your drink, sweet P. Coming back up for that too. | |
| We love our family. | |
| This is an interactive studio. | |
| They can walk around, be around us. | |
| You know, it'd be like the old, you know, the olden days. | |
| If you're like, well, keep the kids away, you know, but I believe that they are an integrated part of our lives. | |
| They should be involved in every part of our lives. | |
| So friends, if you have children who are around you, if you have your kids, your grandkids, nieces, and nephews, let them be involved in what you're doing, especially if you're doing the work of the ministry. | |
| You don't ever want them to look at the ministry work and say, well, my parents put that before me. | |
| My parents put the ministry before they put our relationship as a family. | |
| So what do I do? | |
| I bring my children in. | |
| I let them work alongside of me. | |
| They go to important meetings with me and sit there and draw on their pads because I want them to see the ministry will never be more important than the family. | |
| There you go. | |
| Why? | |
| Because our family is our first ministry, but then we get to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is what is happening through this film, Mondra. | |
| I'm so excited about thedragonsprophecyfilm.com. | |
| If somebody doesn't know what the dragon's prophecy is, can you give us a quick synopsis of what the film's going to cover? | |
| The film begins with October 7th. | |
| It emphasizes that October 7th was not just a normal, it wasn't just a terrorist attack, wasn't even just a historic or an epical event. | |
| It's a biblical event and it can be understood in the light of biblical prophecy, but also in the light of ancient battles in the Bible between the Israelites and their classic enemy, the Philistines. | |
| One of the things Jonathan Khan does, he's the author of the book, The Dragon's Prophecy. | |
| He shows how the battles between Israel and the Philistines, the tactics, the strategies were replicated, were done again, really 3,000 years later on October 7th. | |
| And so we are not just living through current events on the other side of the world. | |
| We're living through events unfolding in the Bible. | |
| We are part of that story. | |
| There is a great battle between good and evil going on. | |
| Ultimately, it's a battle between God and Satan. | |
| But Satan fights through surrogates, right? | |
| So Satan can't take his revenge on God. | |
| That's why he takes his revenge on Adam and Eve, because he wants to have the last laugh on God. | |
| That's why Satan takes on the Jews, because if they're the people of God, if he can ruin them and destroy them, once again, he gets to score a point against God. | |
| So we have to understand, we often ask, like, what is God doing in our lives? | |
| What is God saying to us? | |
| Part of what we also need to be alert to is what is the evil one doing? | |
| What is his strategy? | |
| How is he trying to corrupt our souls? | |
| All of this is, I think, in a very cinematic way unfolded in this film. | |
| So you get a better understanding of Israel, of Hamas, of radical Islam, but you also get an understanding of biblical archaeology, biblical prophecy. | |
| It's putting things into a new light. | |
| Amen. | |
| Putting things into a new light, Mondo. | |
| I want to ask you an important question. | |
| Before we do that, I want to give you a sneak peek of what you're going to see in the Dragon's Prophecy film. | |
| You can go to the dragonsprophecyfilm.com. | |
| You can Mondo. | |
| I think you said you can get tickets there. | |
| You can early pre-order the streaming, early pre-order the DVDs as well. | |
| So everything you'd need to know about the film is there at thedragonsprophecyfilm.com. | |
| But I want to give you a sneak peek of what you're going to see in the dragon's prophecy film. | |
| Then another sign appeared in heaven. | |
| An enormous red dragon. | |
| Revelation 12 3 once again and hack in the Middle East But this time, it's different. | |
| October 7th was the Devil's Humming. | |
| So who are the Jews? | |
| Who are the Palestinians? | |
| And whose land is it really? | |
| Could the fate of the world, of humanity itself, be somehow tied to this place? | |
| The nation of Israel is a resurrected nation. | |
| So what if there was going to be a resurrection of another people, an enemy people of Israel? | |
| The Bible speaks about this whole war as a dragon representing the enemy attacking a woman representing Israel. | |
| The civilian deaths on both sides represent victories on the part of the dragon. | |
| Mastered everything within their ability to maximize the civilian casualty. | |
| We came back to a land that was largely barren and empty, and we brought it back to life and we're going to keep it. | |
| The devil hates the Jewish people because they represent the existence of God. | |
| Because without that Jewish foundation, there is no Christianity. | |
| If we're approaching the end of time, God will reveal himself more and more dramatically. | |
| Speak back through the stones. | |
| The story that they've been telling is that Israel is a colonial project. | |
| The problem with that is the city of David. | |
| We are an inconvenient truth. | |
| Are you aware of any significant archaeological finding that contradicts the Bible? | |
| Nope. | |
| God's word stands firm. | |
| The dragon will not prevail. | |
| Your message here is become a dragon slayer. | |
| That's it. | |
| Based on Jonathan Cahn's number one international bestseller, The Dragon's Prophecy. | |
| Friends, that's a sneak peek of what you're going to see at thedragonsprophecyfilm.com. | |
| I encourage you right now, go and look at that website and see all the different ways you can support this film. | |
| Now, you and Rabbi Jonathan Kahn believe that this is more than just a film. | |
| You believe this is a wake-up call for the nation. | |
| Tell us why this would be a wake-up call for our generation. | |
| It's a wake-up call because we often hear it said that we have a political and cultural debate or even fight that's going on. | |
| Underneath that, there is a moral debate or a moral fight. | |
| Underneath that, there is a spiritual fight. | |
| People often talk about spiritual warfare. | |
| But we don't often hear what is the nature of the spiritual warfare. | |
| Who exactly is fighting and for what? | |
| The film really argues that the fight that's going on is really a fight between God and the inverted angel, otherwise known as Lucifer. | |
| And all of us are instruments in that fight. | |
| We are either going to be on the side of God or we're going to be on the side of Satan. | |
| We are seeing today an unprecedented attack both on the chosen people of God, which is the Jews, but also on the Christians. | |
| We are the spiritual Israelites, if you will. | |
| And we should be joined together with Israel and with the Jews on God's side. | |
| That's the kind of renewal that I'm hoping this movie can help to, in a small way, to bring about. | |
| Because after all, the armies of Satan are very definitely on the march. | |
| And the armies of Satan are not sort of what you might expect, right? | |
| There's a very weird alliance between the cultural left and the Islamic radicals. | |
| These are two groups that sort of aren't going for the same exact goal. | |
| In fact, they're not really compatible with each other. | |
| They don't even have the same objectives, but they are inspired by the same sort of evil force and they have the same enemy, which is not only God, but the people of God. | |
| So the film unfolds this, draws it out, clearly defines what the stakes are, clearly shows that this is a time for taking sides. | |
| And it lays out the political, the cultural, the moral, and the spiritual elements that you need to know to make your decision of which side you want to be on. | |
| So what would happen to America if we drift away from our biblical roots? | |
| So our civilization, America, you know, when the founders came to this country, they didn't come empty-handed. | |
| They brought with them the legacy of Athens and Jerusalem. | |
| Now, Athens stands for classical reason, for Socrates, for philosophy, for the Greek theater, for the origins of democracy. | |
| But Jerusalem stands for the Bible. | |
| It stands for the Ten Commandments. | |
| It stands for the Hebrew prophets. | |
| It stands for Jesus Christ. | |
| And it is Jerusalem that is under attack, not even so much Athens. | |
| And so to defend America means defending the legacy of Jerusalem and defending the truth of the Bible. | |
| One of the things that's in this film, very exciting, is biblical archaeology. | |
| Now, there are all these figures in the Bible, like King David, like Jeremiah or Isaiah, the prophets, or even Pontius Pilate in the New Testament. | |
| Until a generation ago, if you were to ask someone To prove that these figures existed, that the Bible describes what they did accurately, but prove it not using the Bible, you would not be able to do it. | |
| In other words, these are figures in the Bible, but only in the Bible. | |
| But in the last generation or so, and in fact, increasingly in the last decade, there are astounding archaeological artifacts coming out of the ground. | |
| And I'm talking about tablets and seals and inscriptions. | |
| And what these are doing, it's like God is speaking back through the stones using the language of science and archaeology to validate, to prove, to confirm, to authenticate that these people and events of the Bible are not mythical, they're not fictional. | |
| Nobody made them up 300 years later. | |
| These are actual people and actual events. | |
| So the historicity of the Bible is thoroughly affirmed. | |
| And all of that is in this film. | |
| In a way, it buttresses, Jonathan Khan lays out the biblical argument, and then the archaeology is used to convince doubters and skeptics and people sitting on the fence that guess what? | |
| This biblical perspective is valid because the people and events of the Bible are real. | |
| You know, could the fate of humanity really be tied into the conflict that's happening in the Middle East right now? | |
| We are seeing that that is what is the question that's being ran across social media right now: that the fate of humanity is involved in the conflict in the Middle East. | |
| So, for someone living in America, can you explain to us why the conflict in the Middle East has anything to do with us? | |
| America is supposed to be modeled, if you will, on Zion, on Jerusalem. | |
| The promised land, in a sense, is something that the founders in their own way sought to recreate in the modern age right here. | |
| So, in that sense, America is not a country that kind of came out of nothing. | |
| It's a country that has a spiritual lineage. | |
| And if it cuts itself off from its spiritual lineage, as unfortunately, in some ways, culturally, we've been doing over the past 70 or 80 years, and you can see all the festering problems in our society, the way in which our, not just our intellectual culture, but our culture has become much more degraded. | |
| Families have broken up, our borders essentially have become porous. | |
| We are invaded by criminals. | |
| All of this horror is going on around us. | |
| You know, my wife and I were in Jerusalem just a few days ago. | |
| You can walk in Jerusalem at 10 p.m. at night. | |
| You see children outdoors. | |
| I don't know if they should be up at that hour, but there they are. | |
| You see single women walking around. | |
| It's perfectly safe. | |
| We live in Texas in the outskirts of Houston. | |
| We wouldn't dream of doing that in Houston today. | |
| So, what this is telling you is that ultimately our society is breaking down. | |
| And I think that the core reason for it is we are moving away from the compass of the Bible. | |
| So, this film shows how we can reconnect. | |
| We can reconnect politically, but we can also reconnect morally and spiritually. | |
| And so, I think when we talk about renewal, we are in a moment where we are looking for renewal, but how do we get it? | |
| Well, we get it ultimately by rediscovering our spiritual roots. | |
| Ricky, I feel like the truth today is being suppressed with so many different people. | |
| Yes. | |
| From Christian leaders all the way to those that are in leadership today, political leaders, influencers, and people are confused about what the truth is. | |
| That's right. | |
| And when you're around a young generation, they're hungry for truth. | |
| That's right. | |
| Now, where you search for truth, it's up to you. | |
| But as you watch this film, and let me ask you this question: when you watch this film, when you watch this trailer, what do you think about? | |
|
Right In The Middle Of Jerusalem
00:03:49
|
|
| What's your opinion about where we should stand with Israel? | |
| To answer your question, I'd say, well, where should we stand on Israel? | |
| Where do we stand on Israel, especially after watching a film like this? | |
| Well, friends, what does the Bible say? | |
| That is my main argument. | |
| What does the word of God say? | |
| The word of God says that I am supposed to stand with the people of Israel. | |
| Those who bless Israel will be blessed. | |
| Those who curse Israel will be cursed. | |
| Now, does that mean we agree with everything that the government of Israel has ever done? | |
| Absolutely not. | |
| Does that mean that we think everything that the citizens of Israel do is right and correct? | |
| Absolutely not. | |
| But I believe through faith that I'm going to honor what the word of God says. | |
| Could the fate of humanity really be tied to this conflict in the Middle East? | |
| Yeah, especially the October 7th. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Right in the middle of Jerusalem is the Temple Mount. | |
| Now, the Temple Mount is just the sort of retaining wall of the original temple. | |
| The original temple, by the way, was Solomon's temple. | |
| Solomon built it. | |
| It contained the Ark of the Covenant. | |
| It contained the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. | |
| Now, that temple was brought down by the Babylonians. | |
| It was rebuilt in Jesus' time, right before Jesus, Herod, the infamous King Herod, rebuilt the temple. | |
| Jesus was in that temple. | |
| When his parents lost him, they found him right in the temple talking to rabbis. | |
| And but that temple is gone. | |
| And what stands in its place right now, it is a dome of the rock, which is a Muslim triumphal ark, an arch. | |
| And then there is a mosque called the Al-Aqsa Mosque. | |
| When Hamas launched October 7th, they called it, this is their official name for it, the Al-Aqsa flood. | |
| So the enemy, interestingly, knows that there's a biblical resonance here. | |
| The enemy itself is appealing to biblical prophecy, but appealing to it, you may say, from the dark side. | |
| We need to recognize from our side, from the side of truth, from the side of the believer, that biblical prophecy is playing out before our eyes. | |
| People often say Israel is the colonizer, but how do you make that make sense? | |
| How do you colonize your own land? | |
| This is like basically saying, you know, that the Indians are colonizing India. | |
| What? | |
| On the other hand, it is true that Islam came to that region as a colonizer. | |
| When Islam started in the sixth and seventh centuries, all of that region we call the Middle East was Christian. | |
| Syria was Christian, so was Jordan, so was the Holy Land. | |
| All of that was overrun by the armies of Islam. | |
| That's when they built this dome of the rock. | |
| That's when the later the Al-Aqsa Mosque was put right there, put right there as a reason, as if to say, we have won. | |
| This is our victory monument. | |
| So we've got to recognize that when we look at these things, that's what we're looking at. | |
| And the Bible really says that in the end times, ultimately, the temple will be restored. | |
| I mean, first, the Jews will come back to their ancestral homeland. | |
| That's already happened, 1948. | |
| So I think when we look at these things, we should not think of we're looking to the other end of the world over there. | |
| What does that have to do with us? | |
| We're America first. | |
| Yes, we are America first, but we're not America only. | |
| America was, in a sense, built out of Western civilization. | |
| It was built on Athens and Jerusalem. | |
| And so the Bible and Jerusalem have a lot to do, not just with our past, but with our future. | |
|
Home Invasion Horror
00:09:23
|
|
| I have to ask you this because I think the world was forced to ask an important question: who is good? | |
| Who is evil? | |
| And can good prevail without becoming evil itself? | |
| What do you think about that? | |
| So, this is a problem that the Israelis are dealing with. | |
| And I would illustrate the problem somewhat this way. | |
| Imagine if somebody were to come to your house and do a home invasion on you, right? | |
| This is like October 7th. | |
| And they, you know, they rape your wife, they kill your kids, they do all this havoc in your house, and then they run away. | |
| And so you chase them, you go after them, and they go into their car, but then they come out of their car and they're holding their own wife and kids in front of them. | |
| And they go, Don't shoot! | |
| I've got women and children. | |
| I've got civilians. | |
| This is, by the way, a mirror image of what is happening with Hamas. | |
| They cross over into Israel, they wreak havoc on the home of Israel. | |
| They then run back into Gaza, grab their own kids, and basically say, We dare you to shoot because the world is watching and you're going to be accused of genocide if you do. | |
| Israel is like, Okay, what do we do? | |
| If we do nothing, then the bad guys win. | |
| In fact, then they will do it again because they've got now a watertight formula for how they can conduct terrorist raids and be completely immune. | |
| And the solution is just grab your own kids and stick them in the line of fire. | |
| So the whole thing is unbelievably tragic. | |
| It is part of the wickedness of the devil to put good people in this bad position. | |
| I quote a line in the film from Golda Meyer, a former prime minister of Israel. | |
| She wrote in one of her books this: she wrote, We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children, but we can never forgive them for making us kill their children. | |
| I mean, think of what a deep and profound thing this is to say. | |
| It really captures the way in which the devil operates to try to make even good people turn into bad people. | |
| And this is the moral dilemma that Israel faces in this fight against Hamas. | |
| Friends, the dragonsprophecyfilm.com, I want you to go right now as you have another opportunity to see a sneak peek of what you're going to see in the dragon's prophecy film. | |
| Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon. | |
| Revelation 12 3 once again an armed attack in the Middle East but this time it's different October 7th was the devil's holiday. | |
| It's very hard to believe what happened, even though I was there and seen with my own eyes and seen them laughing and killing and having fun with it. | |
| Because if you don't open the door, they are going to kill you and they are going to kill me, so please open the door. | |
| So who are the Jews? | |
| Who are the Palestinians? | |
| And whose land is it really? | |
| Could the fate of the world, of humanity itself, be somehow tied to this place? | |
| The nation of Israel is a resurrected nation. | |

| Nope. | |
| God's word stands firm. | |
| The dragon will not prevail. | |
| Earth to God. | |
| Your message here is become a dragon slayer. | |
| He's the Jonathan Cahn bestseller. | |
| Friends, that's a sneak peek of the Dragon's Prophecy film. | |
| Go to thedragonsprophecyfilm.com and Mondo there. | |
| People are going to be able to pre-order tickets for their in cinema watching, also for their streaming. | |

| We have an affiliate program with Charisma. | |
| That's right. | |
| And I urge you to get the book, read it, and then watch the movie and get informed. | |
| There's nothing greater than having information on where you stand when it comes to God's word. | |
| And can I tell you this about Israel? | |
| It's a non-negotiable with God. | |
| It doesn't matter your opinion, your thought, what people are saying. | |
| If God said it, he meant it. | |
| There's a non-negotiable with God in that is that God has not changed his mind about his people. | |
| That's right. | |
| You ought to think the way God thinks. | |
| I think it works out at the end very well for you and I. Don't lose hope. | |
| Get the book today. | |
| Support this ministry. | |
| We are counting on you every single month to stand with us. | |
| Pray about standing with us. | |
| If you haven't sowed your monthly seed, do it today. | |
| We want you to know that the ministry that we're doing here is to bring the truth, to stand on truth, and to continue to believe in the truth that God has provided through his word. | |
| He hasn't changed his mind about you. | |
| He loves you. | |
| Amen. | |
| If you have one message to give as we are going off the air today, what would be that message to the people who watch the PTL television network, the Jim Baker family show, and are saying, you know what? | |
| I think that this film is for me and my family. | |
| The evil one is hard at work. | |
| He understands the significance of the end times. | |
| He understands the significance of the Jews coming back to Israel. | |
| He understands that there will be at this time great wars. | |
| And not only do the Jews have to go back and put on armor the way that they did in ancient times when they fought the Philistines, but I think we as Christians also need to go back to the way we were in the book of Acts. | |
| So the type of Christians that we were, ferocious, unintimidated, willing to speak the truth, putting on the spiritual armor, discerning and being able to distinguish good from evil, recognizing that sometimes evil will come even from quarters that are very near you, tempting you to sort of get off the track and go down the wrong track and forget about God's word and God's promises. | |
| So this film ultimately is like a call to action. | |
| And it's also a call to arms in the spiritual sense. | |
| Let's get back to being Christians the way the early Christians were. | |
| They got a lot done and so can we. | |
| Amen. | |
