The Symbol for Resurrection 00:15:21
Welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show.
Our special guest is the host of Messianic World Update, Rabbi Monty Judah.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo de la Vega.
And now, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, friends.
I want to welcome you back to day two with Rabbi Monty Judah, an incredible man of God.
If you haven't watched episode one, go back on video on demand.
You can get those apps downloaded on your iOS device, your Android device.
You can go to ptl.tv and you can watch video on demand, episode one.
You're not going to want to miss that.
Mondo, we were talking between broadcasts about something that is incredible.
It probably might take the entire broadcast because of the weight of it.
We were talking about the two most important scriptures in the entire Bible.
Wow.
Listen, it comes from the Torah.
And this is stay tuned.
You're not going to want to miss this program today.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you for standing with us.
Ricky, I wanted to bring Rabbi Monty here for you to meet him for audience.
If you haven't heard of him, you can go to lionandlamb.tv and find more information about our special guest today.
I have enjoyed meeting you.
I have enjoyed conversating with you privately.
Thank you for having me on the program.
But my whole thing was he's got to be on the show.
Yeah, incredible.
I got to figure out how I'm going to get him to the show because there's a lot of voices out there that are performers.
We need foundational truth that will help us interpret the times and the seasons according to the word, not performance.
So thank you for not being a performer.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
So tell us, what are these two most important scriptures?
Well, why are they found in the Torah?
A lot of people don't know this, but in the Torah, the written Hebrew Sephiroth Torah scroll, the scribes, when they write them, a lot of people don't know this.
There are scribal marks that are put into the Torah scripture.
And if you want to know more about this, you can go to the Jewish Encyclopedia and get up an article about the Masoretic text and how the Torah is actually written by scribes.
And one of the things you're going to discover that you probably didn't know is that the scribes do interesting things with the letters in the Torah.
For example, the very first letter in Genesis 1 is the letter bet.
And it's for the word Beresheet.
Beresheet is in the beginning.
In the beginning, God created the heavens of the earth.
The scribes take that first letter, bet, and they make it large.
And it's not the only place where they do that kind of thing.
There's some places where they make a letter small.
There's some places where they will stigmatize the load.
They'll draw it in a weird way and so forth.
And so we have a class of large letters, small letters, stigmatized letters.
And then there's another place called, are you ready for this?
The jots.
They actually have four places in the Torah where they put dots above the letters of it.
You remember the passage in Matthew 5 where Yeshua said, think not that I've come to abolish the law and the prophets.
Not a jot or a tittle shall pass away until all is accomplished.
He's talking about the scribal marks that are in the Torah.
Now, in our English Bibles, there's no way to translate these scribal marks.
So they just take the basic letter and the word and they give you the translation for it.
But you have no idea that in the Hebrew text, there's specific things in there.
Those are teachings.
Those are specific teachings that are taught in conjunction with the scripture.
But there's one place in the Torah where the scribes did something really unique.
And it's in the book of Numbers.
It's in chapter 10.
And it's at the last two verses of Numbers chapter 10.
And what the scribes have done, you can actually see it in the Torah scroll when you open it up in the Hebrew, they took the letter noon, which looks like a bracket.
Yes.
Okay?
And they put it on a line separate from the rest of the text, and they inverted it.
They drew it backwards.
And in fact, when you go do a study on it, it's called the inverted noons.
And it brackets the last two verses of Numbers.
And just for everybody, read the last two verses of Numbers chapter 10.
Which is verse 35 and 36.
Correct.
And it was when the ark set out that Moses said, rise up, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered, and let them that hate you flee before you.
Verse 36.
And when it rested, he said, return, O Lord, to the multitude of thousands of Israel.
Now, that bracket that's drawn backwards is in front of verse 35, and it's after verse 36.
Let me tell you, if you get to be with the Torah teacher, and this is what I teach, you get to be with the Torah teacher and you ask him, tell me what the teaching is of those two verses that's been set off by that bracket.
Here's what he's going to tell you.
The wisdom in those two verses is equal to the wisdom of the entire book of Genesis, the entire book of Exodus, the entire book of Leviticus, the entire book of Deuteronomy.
And what it does is it subdivides the five books of Moses into what is called the seven pillars of wisdom.
And Proverbs talks about the seven pillars of wisdom.
All right?
So I'll get to just in a moment as to what those two verses mean, but let's talk about that little inverted noon.
How many of you have ever seen the fish symbol that the Christians use?
Yep.
Okay, very common symbol.
See all your back of vehicles and things?
Yeah, back of vehicles.
On my Bible, I've got it on the front of my Bible, a fish on there.
That's the inverted noon.
That's the inverted noon.
That's in the Aramaic.
And after the resurrection of Yeshua, believers all went around with that fish symbol, and they put it on their houses.
And Messianic symbols has the menorah, the Star of David, and the fish.
They used the fish symbol, and here's the reason why.
That's the symbol for the resurrection.
Let me tell you about the letter noon.
Every Hebrew letter has a teaching.
The letter noon is really a fish.
It's a fish whose head is cocked slightly, his tail is cocked.
And here's the teaching that we teach about the fish.
Let's say that we go out to the lake, and this happens to me all the time.
You go out to the lake, you're kind of standing out there, and all of a sudden out in the lake, a fish splashes.
And I don't know about you, but I'm kind of stupid.
Whenever that happens, I go, oh, oh, there's a fish out there.
Me too.
Yeah, yeah, me too.
Of course I'm getting excited.
I mean, it's a lake.
There's a lot of fish.
That's the reason why those guys got those boats and those fishing poles and everything.
But the exhilaration of that moment is the meaning of the letter, which means the quickening of life, the quickening of life.
Suddenly life happens.
Wow.
That's what the letter noon means.
What does it mean, though, when they draw it backwards?
Yes.
Means the quickening of life from the dead.
It means the resurrection of life.
Wow.
And that's the symbol for the resurrection.
Now, listen to what the verse said, verse 35.
Arise, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered.
Who was it that rose from the dead and has caused his enemies to scatter?
Wow.
Yeshua the Messiah.
1 Corinthians 15, Paul is teaching you about the resurrection.
He's talking about he's defeated the best tactic the enemy has, which is death, and he sent his enemies fleeing.
Okay, now, so what's the next verse?
Return, O Lord, to the myriads of Israel's families.
So when the Lord returns, what resurrection is going to take place then?
Ours.
That's us.
Our resurrection.
That's right.
So here's two verses that describe the resurrection of the Messiah and the resurrection of us at the end of the age.
Can you name two other verses in the Bible more powerful than that?
This is so powerful in the teaching of Torah teachers that if you go to a synagogue service and you see a Torah service, when they open the ark to bring the Torah scroll out, here's what you're going to see, whether you realize it or not.
That cantor is going to bring that Torah scroll out.
And the first thing he's going to do is he's going to cant and sing Numbers chapter 10, verse 35 to you.
That this is the Torah has now come forth and is alive.
Wow.
And when we put it back, back in the ark, we can't verse 36.
Return, O Lord.
We're looking for the Lord's return when we will be resurrected for it.
So that little fish symbol we walk around, that's one of the scribal marks of the inverted noons.
And we still have it today.
And I know there's a lot of Christian folks going, oh, that's an ichthoos.
It was something about the free flatterers.
No, that's not what it is.
Wow.
That symbol existed in first century Christianity.
It was a symbol of the resurrection because in the first century, the most powerful testimony that was going around was not that we found the Messiah.
It was the Messiah came out of the grave.
Wow.
That the Messiah defeated death.
Not only did he come, but he defeated death.
He proved he has the power to give eternal life to us.
And we have a promise that he will be coming back again to us.
So those two verses to a Torah teacher, we regard as being the two most powerful verses in all of the scripture.
You remember the Sadducees who didn't believe in the resurrection?
Yes.
And they came up and they questioned Yeshua one time about that.
And they came up with this fictitious argument.
Well, there was this man who was married, and then her husband died, and then the brother came along and he died too.
And then another man, you know, and who's she going to be married to in eternity?
And they posed this question to him.
And he says the following.
He said, you do err in that you know not the scripture nor the power of God.
And what he was referring to, have you not seen in the scripture the symbol for the resurrection?
The resurrection is taught in the Torah.
But you don't believe the scripture, do you?
And you don't understand the power of God over death.
You don't get that.
You don't understand that.
Abraham believed in the resurrection.
When he took Isaac to go up and to offer him up to the Lord, he told his servants, the lad and I will return.
That's right.
That's right.
I don't know how God's going to do it.
I'm going to go obey God and slay my son.
I don't know how he's going to make him, you know, as the sand of the sea and the stars of heaven as my descendants.
I guess he'll have to raise him from the dead.
That's right.
He believed it too.
Wow.
He believed it.
Listen, all my years of reading the Bible, I never saw Abraham and Isaac as a symbol of God and Jesus.
You never did.
Never.
Until right now.
Oh, my gosh.
It's just like you when you see that little fish.
Oh, there's a fish.
Oh, there's Jesus and God.
Boom, the Holy Spirit hit you.
Oh, my goodness.
You know, I have news for you.
That's only one of 24 places in the Torah that has stuff that will blow your socks off.
That's right.
Constantly revealing himself.
And it's full of great wisdom.
Listen, I tell people that the Torah is able to delight a child and amaze a wise man.
You say it a lot fancier than I do.
I said in my church just a few weeks ago, I said, you can be eight years old and read the word of God and enjoy it.
You can be 88 years old and still never scratch the surface.
And go, oh, my goodness.
I'm going to start using your verbiage, though.
It sounds actually a lot fancier than mine.
That's the difference between us.
Yeah, I was raised here in Missouri, brother, so I got a little less verbiage than you.
Yeah.
Kansas fellas, you know what I mean?
Yeah, well, I got some of that Kansas twang that leaks through.
Do you feel like at a young age when you fell in love with the Word of God, you wanted to be this deep in knowing the Word of God?
Or did you say, you know what, I'm happy with just having a regular relationship?
I couldn't see that far.
I couldn't see what this would turn into.
All I knew was I was in the moment.
I wanted to have a real relationship with God.
He didn't have to make me special or anything like that.
I don't have to have, I don't need miracles around me or whatever.
I just want my faith to be real and I want to have confidence in God with regard to that.
So no matter what happens in my life, you know, my faith is steadfast and secure.
And I believe that one of the most underrated qualities of the faith that we should pursue is steadfastness.
That's right.
I believe that we should pursue to be steadfast.
By the way, the biblical word steadfastness is the more common word you call courage.
To be steadfast is to be courageous.
Amen.
When the Lord told and Moses told Joshua, be strong and courageous, be strong and steadfast.
Go into the land, continue to obey, continue to walk with the Lord.
Be courageous, be steadfast.
And really, that's what happens to us as believers.
If you want to walk before the Lord and be steadfast, you're going to have to have courage.
That's right.
Because when you start obeying the Lord, there's a lot of people that are not going to like it.
That's right.
They're not going to like the fact that you obey the Lord.
You're not confirming us.
We're not quite doing what you're doing.
We want you to be like us.
We don't want you to be different from us.
And you're standing out and obeying the Lord.
So you have to have some courage in the midst of even friends and family, because even friends and family won't necessarily agree with you wanting to walk before the Lord.
That's right.
Numana: Food Built to Last 00:03:00
And you need a little courage.
Let me add this one other thing.
We, as ministers, you know, when we go to minister, do you know that all we really do is we encourage brethren?
We're trying to put courage into them.
We're trying to get them to use their will to overcome their emotions, overcome their intellect that wants to argue against the Lord.
That's right.
Argue against and fight against their flesh that wants to take the easy way out and give them some will to follow the Lord.
Amen.
So we're trying to put courage into them so they'll be steadfast.
Amen.
Friends, we'll be right back.
We're going to watch a video from today's sponsor, but when we get back, we're going to be asking Rabbi about the Ezekiel prophecy of Gog and Magog.
You're not going to want to miss this.
Watch this from our sponsor for today's show.

Today we have with us Rabbi Monty Judah.
Rabbi, tell us one more time where people can find you and support your ministry, Lion and Lamb, based out of Oklahoma.
Lion and Lamb Ministries, we have a normal web page under that name.
But let me also tell you about something else that we have, lionandlamb.tv.
Temple Mount Sacrifice 00:10:28
Yes.
That is our subscription service where you can sign up for it.
Monthly subscription, first month, I think, is free for you.
And you can access all the different programs that we teach.
I do many different teaching cycles, all the Torah teachings and so forth.
You can go on there and access the entire library of the teachings.
And they move the material around a little bit to keep it fresh.
And because I got a lot of teachings up there, so they, you know, kind of move it around a little bit so that it'll keep you up to date and so forth.
Incredible.
If I heard on the last episode correctly, you have over probably 3,000 teachings.
Well, that's what they tell me.
I have 35 years of writings that you have.
I lost count on them a long time ago, but they tell me the staff tells me I've got over 3,000 published teachings.
That's incredible.
So I encourage you to go to lionandlamb.tv, subscribe to that, and be a part of this ministry.
Get the knowledge inside of you.
Why?
So that you can go and share the good news of the gospel with someone else.
Amen.
Just a few minutes left.
This is a heavy hitting topic.
A lot of people want to know, are we right now entering the Ezekiel prophecy of Gog and Magog?
Is this something that has already happened?
Is it needing to happen?
Are we in the window of prophetic fulfillment?
Well, I think the one that they're specifically referring to is Ezekiel 38 and 39, in which it talks about an army that invades Israel from the north and about there's a great victory that God accomplishes there.
And it's introduced as the enemy that's coming against is called Gog and Magog.
Gog actually is just a name.
Magog means those from Gog.
It's really a repeat of the name.
You also hear about Gog and Magog often in the book of Revelation.
Yes.
You know, as to really at the end.
So, the question that a lot of people are having right now, what we see going on in Israel, the war that's been going on there for the last two years.
Let me share an interesting point on this before we go any further in the detail.
It has been the traditional teaching of Israel throughout the many years that Ezekiel 38 and 39 is taught at the intermediate Sabbath that occurs during the Feast of Tabernacles.
And two years ago, on October 7th, it was the intermediate Sabbath at the Feast of Tabernacles.
And that's when the October 7th attack began.
Now, we have since learned since that attack did come that it was a confederation of Iran, Hezbollah in the north, the Houthis down in the south, besides Hamas being in Gaza.
They kind of fouled it up.
There was supposed to be a very highly coordinated attack, and apparently Hamas jumped the gun.
And actually, that worked in Israel's favor so that they were able to deal with the different fronts, and they had to deal with seven fronts, even in the land of Israel itself.
And so, everybody's been looking at this thing and going, wait a minute, are we looking at Ezekiel 38?
Are we seeing the unwalled villages of the modern villages of Israel being invaded, the north and so forth?
And it hasn't quite matured.
It hasn't quite happened, but it certainly echoes with that, and it certainly harmonizes with a lot of that prophecy that's in there.
Let me set that aside for the moment.
In other words, I'm not prepared to say, hey, we're looking at Ezekiel 38, but we certainly have a lot of things harmonizing with it.
What's even more significant is what Ezekiel 39 says.
Ezekiel 39 says, and there's verses that are there toward the end of the chapter, where God explains why Israel goes into captivity of all the nations.
Yes.
You know, because we misbehaved, because we didn't believe the Lord.
Why should you be in my promised land if you're not going to obey me?
I'll kick you out.
And by the way, I told you I'd kick you out if you don't obey me.
But there in chapter 39, it talks about God now reverses his position and he decides to declare that the exile is over.
That's right.
Okay?
If the exile is over, then he's going to pour out his spirit on all of the house of Israel.
Well, that gets you into Joel chapter 2, verse 28.
That gets you into the greater Exodus.
So we have all these elements that's coming together at the same time.
Can I pin down and nail that down as to exactly what that is?
Not quite, but boy, do we have a lot of things harmonizing with what the scripture is, which just incentivizes me to watch even closer.
And that's what I encourage people to do: continue to watch closely because we're getting close to some of these things that are really unfolding for us.
I'm definitely looking forward to the day when God pours out his spirit on all of mankind and we get to the final redemption and we get to these final elements in this generation.
You know, I'll ask you a question, and we've heard this a lot.
We've seen it through letters, emails.
We've had other guests be asked this question.
I want to ask you: every generation since Christ has been here has said, we're the generation that's going to see Christ return.
What makes this generation different and what makes you so confident that people in our generation could see him return?
I love this question.
I love this question.
They didn't have the evidence.
If you want to sit down and let's talk about the evidence of why I believe we're the last generation, it's going to take approximately 24 hours and I will not repeat myself.
So that's where I have to go to lionandlamb.tv.
You probably have it all there.
There are many things that there are many factors to consider why we, first of all, we know God has a plan.
The question is we're trying to understand that plan.
That's right.
And that's what everybody's trying to do.
They're trying to figure out, okay, what is God planning here?
And there's all kinds of chronology studies that have been done.
They're counting up the years.
They're doing all kinds of things, trends, you know, movements, technology.
They're trying to find something that would indicate that the Bible said this is what you're supposed to look for.
Yes.
Well, to just be real specific, the Messiah, he was directly asked this question.
What will be the signs of the end?
And what will be the sign of the end when you're definitely going to come?
And it's Matthew 24.
Yes.
And we know that one of the keys to that whole thing at the end is he said there has to be a bunch of Jews in Israel on the Temple Mount with an altar doing a daily sacrifice.
Why?
Because the sign of the end is the shutting down of the daily sacrifice on the altar.
Now, at the moment, does Israel have an altar on the Temple Mount doing the daily sacrifice?
No.
No.
We didn't even have Israel 75 years ago.
In 1948, yeah.
Well, 75 years ago, we got Israel.
Oh, well, we've got to have that if you're going to have this.
You've got to have Jerusalem being the capital.
You've got to have Israel get a piece of the Temple Mount.
By the way, let's give a quick update.
Please.
Right now, the government of Israel and Netanyahu is weighing the decision in the face of other nations wanting to declare a Palestinian state that they will declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount.
Wow.
When Israel declares sovereignty over it, there's a bunch of religious Jews that are waiting, I mean, in the chalks, immediately start building.
Ready to go right on that Temple Mount and rebuild that altar.
In fact, if you listen to Haim Richmond, the rabbi for the spokesman for the Temple Institute, he was asked point blank, how long will it take for you to rebuild the altar if you get the Temple Mount?
He said, well, we'll start within 15 minutes.
Wow.
So they're serious about doing that.
Wow.
And they probably practiced a few times.
They've been practicing that sacrifice.
That's right.
So I have been, all of my lifetime, watching and paying.
I remember the days when the Temple Mount Faithful was seven Jews.
And somebody talked about, hey, let's set a cornerstone and anoint a cornerstone.
Everybody thought, no, those people are nuts.
They started talking about animal sacrifice.
They were like, what?
You know, they're not going to do that.
No, over 70% of the people polled in Israel, they want the Temple Mount and they want an altar.
That is a change in my generation.
You have to have those things.
No other generation has ever had that before.
That's the prerequisite for the last generation.
Wow.
No other generation has ever had that.
So here we are staring into Israel.
And by the way, this month of September, the UN General Assembly is coming and Israel has said that if you declare a Palestinian state, we're going to declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.
And here we are off to the races.
Wow.
This month.
So, yeah, I'm kind of paying attention.
I think maybe there's a good chance that we might be it.
Yeah, amen.
But if they want to see more information on what you teach and why you teach it, it's lionandlamb.tv.
