Today we have with us Rabbi Monty Judah.
I want to say thank you for joining the broadcast.
Thank you, Brother Rick.
You have a ministry based out of Oklahoma.
Norman, Oklahoma.
Tell us about that and what you're doing to connect the Jewish believers, really, to the rest of the world through media.
Well, I call it Lion and Lamb Ministries.
Lion and Lamb.
And, you know, coming from a Jewish background and being a believer of Yeshua and being a Torah teacher, so I can relate to my Jewish brethren and to my Christian brethren.
I'm a little bit like Apostle Paul.
You know, I know how to be a Jew with the Jews and I know how to be a Baptist with the Baptists.
And so it's a teaching ministry primarily, and I help teach people about the Torah, the commandments of the Lord, and how to keep them.
And we talk about the prophetic, about modern Israel and how it's a part of our end times and for us to keep watching and paying attention to what the Lord's doing because I'm one of those guys that I think this is the last generation.
We're a part of it, and we should be watching very attentively.
Amen.
You have taught the Torah for over 40 years, but also you are a United States Navy veteran as well.
Tell us a little bit about your background and how do you go from being a Navy veteran to a rabbi in Oklahoma?
Well, I grew up in Kansas and I wanted to get out of Kansas just as quick as I possibly could.
And going to the Navy gave me that opportunity after I left high school to get out there and get my life going.
The wonderful thing about the Navy was that they had a lot of schools and so I was able to get training.
And I was trained in electronics and I became a fire control technician, which is the radar on F-4s.
And I became a radar technician and got to work around airplanes beyond aircraft carriers.
And in the course of my 10 years of active duty, I served in several squadrons and on several ships.
I was on three different aircraft carriers.
I went to Vietnam three times.
Wow.
You know, back in the 70s and so forth.
And that's then I got out of the Navy at the 10-year mark and I became a government contractor.
And so I worked for government contracting companies that was working with the military.
And that's when I shifted from a lot of Navy things to Air Force things because I got involved with anti-missile defense and I got involved in space programs, satellite programs, and things like that.
Interesting.
How would you say that your Navy training is correlating to what you are seeing right now with Israel, with the United States?
Because we were talking before the show.
You actually have an incredible amount of knowledge of what Israel is using to defend themselves.
You've stayed up on the weaponry.
Yes.
So tell us a little bit about how your background is playing into your current teaching.
Well, the main system that is used by Israel and the United States to defend against missile attack is a space-based satellite that can see the weapons as they're being launched.
It actually looks at the infrared signature of the blast off the rocket motor.
And that's how it captures that information, sends it back down to an operation room.
And that's how we know, for example, a weapon has been launched.
And basically, they can tell pretty quickly where it's going to, what it's going to be doing, especially if it's a ballistic missile.
In other words, it's just a straight shot.
And Israel needs that kind of defense against people like Iran and Hezbollah and the rockets and so forth.
Is that what they call the Iron Dome?
Well, Iron Dome is the short-range interceptor system that Israel developed.
It shoots down mortars, shoots down small rockets and so forth.
But their system is three-tiered.
They go up to another level, which is called David Sling.
And this is an endo-atmospheric interceptor.
In other words, it takes here missiles that are still in the atmosphere of the earth.
But the big system is the exo-atmospheric system, which is when a missile is traveling, like from Iran, it's above the stratosphere.
It's in space.
And so they can track and shoot them down while they're actually in space.
And aero-missile system is the one that Israel has developed for that.
So it's a multi-layer defense.
The more exciting one that's coming out is there's a couple of prototypes, is Iron Beam.
That's a laser system, very cost-effective for shooting down mortars, drones, other things, low-flying things.
That's how they're doing air defense in Israel for it.
So, Robert, I want to ask you this question because we see around college campuses in the United States of America right now huge anti-Semitism movement.
And we see that they're even chanting, you know, Israel should not be even defending itself.
Correct.
So what do you say to that?
Well, you know, we've got this weird double standard about, you know, you have the Palestinians, they take basically some tin cans, they put them together, put a rocket motor in it, and just launch it willy-nilly off over into Israel with no real guidance and direction.
It's just an indiscriminate killing device.
And if it goes into a populated area, it's going to hurt somebody.
Well, Israel comes up with this sophisticated system to contract that and shoot it down.
So, you know, obviously Israel is being unfair because they've got a smarter weapon than the other guys.
Okay, so that's not fair.
And it's this crazy world that we live in where people are trying to make the world fair, and the world is not fair.
Yes.
And particularly, they think God has to be fair.
God's not fair.
God's just.
And they get that all fouled up.
And so Israel successfully defends themselves and they get upset about it.
That's right.
You know, Israel goes out and flies a whole bunch of jet airplanes and doesn't lose any pilots and doesn't lose any airplanes.

So that's not fair.
I love what you said.
You said God's not fair.
He's just.
And we should all be thanking the Lord that he is just.
Because if he was fair, every single one of us should have been going to the cross.
We would all be dead.
That's right.
If God was fair.
No shot at heaven.
He was actually fair.
That's right.
But he's just.
But Christ is full of mercy and grace.
And that's the reason why we still get to be here.
Amen.

You're very popular, by the way, amongst young people.
Yes.
Not just older generation.

It'll kind of send you to every place else where we're at.
We have multiple broadcasts of different types where we focus in on particular topics and so forth.
And I've been writing articles for 30 plus years.
So we got plenty of material.

I mean, you're all over there.
They're podcasts.
You know, when I started Lion Lamb Ministries, honest to goodness, I started with a wife, two small kids, and one computer.
And back in those days, there wasn't any of this technology stuff.
And so we've grown with the technology, keeping up with it, gone through cassettes, CDs, DVDs, you know, all the way up to the internet now, and with podcasts and things like that.
For believers, how should we read and understand the book of Revelation for the modern times that we're in right now?
Well, you know, I went to a seminar one time way back as a young man.
It was held by a Jewish rabbi who wasn't a believer, and he was claiming to be an expert on the New Testament.
So in the course of that conference, there was a Q ⁇ A period, and I got to ask him a question.
I said, I asked him, I said, what do you think of the book of Revelation?
And without hesitation, he said, oh, it's a stolen book.
And I said, stolen book?
What are you talking about?
And he said, there's nothing new in there.
Everything that's in there, all the symbols and everything, come from the prophets of Israel.
Now, you know, I think I knew that when he said, but it had never registered with me.
And all of a sudden, that's what inspired me to take a whole new look at the book.
Let me go back first and see what Moses and the prophets of Israel said about these different things that then the book of Revelation starts talking about.
So I call the book of Revelation Grand Central Station for Bible prophecy of all the people of the whole Bible.
There's trains coming in and out, you know, and all these different things.
If you go back and learn what does that symbol mean in that prophet, then it makes a lot of sense when you get to the book of Revelation as to what you see going on there.
And that's the mystery, I think, for a lot of people in the confusion.

Since they're not aware that those things are discussed earlier in the scripture by Moses and the prophets, they hit it cold and they've got like no place to latch onto.
They can't relate to it very well at all.
But if you start with the prophets of Israel and then go there, all of a sudden, this is making a lot of sense.
Wow, this is how this is all coming together.

Greater Exodus Revelation 00:15:24
As we were watching your content, studying for this broadcast, you realize you're not just doing this because it's something to do.
You're doing this because you love it.
Right.
That's true.
I'll go all the way back to when I was a young boy at 12 years old.
And that's about the time I first was really getting acquainted with the Lord.
I saw the movie The Ten Commandments.
Yes.
You know, the Passover, you know, that green snakey hand coming down, scared the living daylights out of me.
I'm a firstborn son.
I was like, you know, what is stopping God from doing that again?
Yeah.
Coming after the firstborn.
And that was about the time that I began to first ask God to save me.
I wanted to know the Lord.
Well, one evening, and it was as the evening had just started, I was out in front of my house.
I have a very distinct memory of this walking on the front sidewalk.
I can see the lights that have just come on.
And a voice, I heard a voice, and he spoke to me.
And he said, Monty, what would you do if everything you were taught about God was wrong?
And I was stunned by the question.
I didn't even know how to begin to answer the question.
It was a very deep question to me, being a 12-year-old boy.
And then suddenly the voice answered and said, God said, I guess God would have to save you, wouldn't he?
And that registered with me as I became older, as I became a young man, it kind of prepared me for, Monty, you've been taught certain things by lots of people who love you, people who love God.
They've been telling you things about God, but maybe what they've told you isn't quite right.
Maybe you need to go and find out what God really said.
And that is the journey that I've been on, is that as I began to walk out my faith and I began to understand, I was honest with myself.
Look, I love the brethren that love me.
They love me.
They were trying to tell me correctly and teach me correctly.
But maybe what they taught me wasn't quite right because that's what they had been taught.
And so when I got my nose in the book and I began to ask the Lord, and then there was another element in there that I was very taken by the testimony of King David.
And King David is the man who sought the very heart of God.
And I found the place in the scripture in Psalms 119 that really spoke to that issue.
And where David asked God, he said, God, if you'll teach me, I will keep it to the end.
If you'll give me the understanding, not the understanding of men, but you'll give me the understanding.
I'll be faithful and I'll obey you.
Well, that's what I wanted to do.
I want to find how do I get the truth and how do I get to the point where I'm faithful and steadfast before the Lord?
Well, the key to me was, Lord, you teach me.
The Lord began to then show me and teach me and open the scripture up to me.
And I found out I wasn't the only one that was going through this.
Lots of people were going through it.
And it radically changed my outlook on a lot of things that I had been taught about covenants, about God, what God's really doing in the world, what God's been doing from the very beginning, what God's going to be doing with Israel, what's the end time scenario, how's the prophetic scenario unfold?
What are God's purposes here?
And who are we and the Lord?
And who are these people that are here on the earth today?
What is their part in that?
Well, that's what I then proceeded to share.
This is what the Lord has shown.
We are living in a time that if we don't understand the Bible, if we don't understand what we're going through, we're being cheated.
And we're going to cheat ourselves into deception.
But you and I talked about the greater Exodus.
You have a phenomenal teaching about this.
I know we only have a few moments, but you have to give this because I'm still processing the hours that you and I spent talking about this.
And how does it relate to the original Exodus from Egypt?
Well, it relates almost directly.
In fact, Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 10, let me go there first.
He emphatically tells us the things that happened in the wilderness on the Exodus are for our admonition and instruction upon whom will fall at the end of the ages.
This is Paul saying, go back to the story of the Exodus.
There are things that happened there.
That's what's going to be happening to the last generation.
Wow.
Now, you ask yourself right off the bat, okay, no, let's see, we're tramping around in the wilderness.
What the heck is that?
Well, Jeremiah and all the prophets speak to this issue.
Let me take you to Jeremiah chapter 16 and chapter 23.
The day is coming, brethren, when you will use the word Exodus and you will not be referring to ancient Egypt.
You will be referring to, as the Lord lives, who brought, who will bring up the children of Israel from all the nations of the world, from the north, the south, the east, and the west, to bring them back to the promised land and the kingdom.
There is a greater salvation yet to take place.
It's what the Jews refer to as the second Exodus.
It's called the final redemption.
A lot of Christian theology gets this idea that, well, Yeshua showed up, did this personal redemption for us, and that's it.
Hey, you know, we're all going to go to heaven and everything's great.
Too bad about Israel.
They screwed the thing up.
Okay?
Excuse me.
But God is in the business of doing corporate redemption.
And that was what he was saying he was going to do with all of Israel.
That includes us as well in all the different nations where we're at.
So the subject of the greater Exodus is going through all the prophecies that talk about this redemption that's going to come at the end of the age.
Why would we need a redemption?
Why would we need another Exodus at the end of the age?
Oh, there's going to be a great tribulation.
How are you going to get delivered out of the great tribulation?
Oh, by the way, I don't mean to offend anybody, but if you're looking for the pre-trib rapture, you're going to be really disappointed.
You're going to find yourself in the Great Tribulation going, oh my gosh, what are we going to do?
Well, I got news for you.
God has a redemption for you.
He has a plan to save his people.
He is never going to forsake us nor forget us.
He is definitely going to save us, and he's got a big plan, but nobody hears about it.
The study of the Greater Exodus is about the real story of how God's going to save all of his people.
In a simple, modeled way, I can illustrate the whole thing to you by one biblical feast, the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Feast of Tabernacles comes up in the fall.
It's the last of the seven Levitical feasts.
So God says, get out of your house, go set up a tent, go set up a sukkah, a temporary place.
I want you to dwell there for eight days with me.
I want you to remember how your ancestors dwelt in tents when they were on the Exodus on their journey to the promised land.
Why would we want to remember that?
What's so important about that?
Maybe because there's going to be another Exodus, and the way you're going to escape is the way the children of Israel escaped from Egypt.
Wow.
And you're going to be traveling in a group of people and staying away from the enemy.
And he's going to be moving you and keeping you safe until such time as that he returns in the clouds of heaven.
Why are more preachers not preaching about this?
Well, first of all, I don't think they've been taught.
They really don't know about it.
And that's another case of going back to my youth.
What if what you've been told about the Lord isn't right?
What if they failed to tell you certain things that the Lord did teach?
Wow.
So once you see what God has planned and you see what your destiny is, that God does want to deliver you and your family.
And there is going to be a great salvation that will take place at the end.
And you're definitely going to be cheering when the Lord comes back.
You're definitely going to be excited when he shows up because it's your salvation that's coming.
It gives you a whole nother perspective about how you live your life today.
One of the things that I strongly urge, and in fact, Lionel Lamb Ministries has been hosting it now for nearly 30 years.
We host a Feast of Tabernacles in Oklahoma.
We invite people from all over the world.
And by the way, when we started that back years ago, there wasn't a whole lot of people doing that.
There are a host of Sukkots and Feast of Tabernacles happening all over the world now.
That's just happened in the last 30 years.
It's there that you actually experience and see.
There are four things you need for survival.
Now, let's get down to brass taps.
You need water.
You need food.
You need shelter.
That's right.
And you need some kind of defense.
Yes.
Okay.
Now, God has said, I'll supply the water, I'll supply the food, and I will defend you.
But he said, you've got to bring your own shelter.
Wow.
You've got to bring your own sukkah.
So why did he have it?
It says, every year, go out and build a sukkah to learn how your ancestors dwelt in twents.
And that's how God delivered them.
If you go and look into Psalms in Psalms, I believe 91, though a thousand will fall on your left, 10,000 on your right, but no harm will come to your tent, it says.
To your tent?
Wow.
And by the way, that's a tribulation psalm.
That's a psalm about how the tribulation saints will be saved.
Wow.
So at first thought, logic would say, no, I don't see how that could possibly work.
But that's how God took the children of Israel out of Egypt into a wilderness.
By the way, they went out there for 40 years, right?
Where'd they get all the food they needed?
God.
God.
What about the firewood?
Where'd they get the firewood?
Amen.
God.
How did he protect them?
He took care of them.
He knows how to save his people.
Come on.
And food and water, and he took care of them.
And this is the same God we serve today.
He hasn't changed.
No.
It's the creator, God.
It's the God of redemption.
And you want to see a picture of redemption?
Go look at Israel coming out of Egypt.
And it was by the blood of the Passover Lamb.
Well, we have that personal redemption.
We have the Messiah who's the blood who's covered us.
But we're getting ready to go to the kingdom.
And by the way, let me just tell you, if you're planning on going to the kingdom, you better be ready to leave Egypt.
Wow.
If you decide you want to stay in Egypt, you're not going to make it to the promised land.
Wow.
Now, can you trust the Lord enough to get you to the kingdom?
And there are people that are alive today, I don't believe will suffer death.
They will see the coming of the Son of Man in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Amen.
I'd like to be one of those guys.
And I'd like to see a whole bunch of other people be there.
But I can tell you, the only way you're going to get there is you're going to have to believe that God knows how to save his people, and you're going to have to follow his plan on how to do it.
Sitting around and just waiting to get zapped, it's going to be pretty discouraging when you don't get zapped.
And you're going, now what?
Now you know why I love talking to this.
Yeah, this is real.
I love it.
I'll tell you what I say to people.
I say, what are you going to do if you see the start of the Great Tribulation, you see the altar get shut down and you're still here?
What are you going to do?
You know what they say to me?
They say, I don't know.
And I say, I know what you're going to do.
And they say, what?
I said, you're going to come with me and other brethren that believe in the greater exodus so you can live.
That's what you're going to really do.
Wow.
