Friends Still Tuning In 00:02:24
Hello and welcome to the Jim Baker Family Show, coming to you from the village of Morningside, USA, nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.
Today, our special guest is an author, teacher, TV host, and co-pastor of the Warehouse Church in South Wales, United Kingdom, Pastor Donna Howells.
Our co-host today is Reverend Mondo Delevega.
And now, live from Gray Street at Morningside, USA, here's your host, Pastor Ricky Baker.
Hello, friends.
You're watching the PTL Television Network.
It's an honor you chose to tune in with us today.
You're not going to want to turn that dial.
We have Donna Howells with us today on our broadcast.
Now, she lives in South Wales, United Kingdom, along with her husband Robbie.
She pastors the Warehouse Church, as well as co-hosting their weekly TV program called Taking You Forward, which airs on the Victory Channel and on God TV.
Donna is a gifted teacher with an ability to help people understand some of the weightier messages of the word, including understanding the need for deliverance within the church.
Her new book, which we're going to be talking about today, is titled Devil, Come Out.
Come on.
Recognize and destroy demonic oppression in your life.
We're going to be talking about Miss Donna Howes.
But friends, before we get to the interview today, we have someone very, very special.
The Jim Baker himself.
There we go.
What?
There he is.
Is he still alive?
You know, I get that question quite a bit.
We're on Facebook live, Instagram live.
People say, either say, how's your father, or is he still alive?
Friends, I'm telling you, he's alive and he's kicking.
He's kicking me out of the table right now.
Oh, I'm telling you, you're doing a good job, Ricky.
Amen.
Thank you.
And Mondo, you are too.
Thank you.
Yes, he is.
Mondo.
Mondo, I might say, can I talk a minute?
Mind you, I haven't had a haircut in about probably two months.
Yeah.
A long time.
Probably two months.
And Mondo and Ricky came to my house.
Trump's Message to California 00:08:01
They helped me get ready.
You notice my beard's a little longer.
It was very long this morning.
Oh, yeah.
Is that all right?
See, I just turned 85.
That's right.
And so I think I have a right to wear a little longer beard.
That's right.
Is this okay, girls and boys?
Absolutely.
That's right.
I'm 85.
That's right.
And so you get to do whatever you want.
That's right.
Mondo.
Amen.
Well, when it's called the Jim Baker Show, and you're 85 years old, you can do quite whatever you want on this broadcast.
It's been an exciting month.
Yes, it has been.
Very much so.
We have a new president.
He's done more in one week than any other president's done in a whole four years.
There was on Twitter, or Ex is now, somebody said, other than God, there's only one person in this world that has done more in seven days than anybody.
And that's President Trump.
That's a funny joke.
Except for the fact that God himself rested.
Trump didn't rest.
You know, he's still working.
I was worried a little bit about that.
I think Trump ought to rest once in a while.
Listen, he had a lot of time to rest.
I think he's got a lot of work to do.
Yeah.
That's right.
We didn't elect a president that is just going to sit back and let things go by the wayside.
Somebody's got to get to work and he's working for the American people.
He's sending a clear message to the world that America's back.
America's going to get stronger.
And boy, is he causing a lot of waves.
And he's one of the great presidents who is putting from the get-go America first.
That's right.
Can I talk a minute, please?
Trump really loves Jesus.
Yes, yeah, we've seen that over and over and over.
His recognition for Jesus and our Lord and Savior.
Jesus slangy words, but he's crude sometimes.
A lot of men use slangy words.
I know some church people that swear worse than he does.
Oh, I've never heard you ever hear a preacher.
No, but let's just thank God that we have a president that loves America and is putting America first.
That's right.
And we're seeing America straighten up.
And they were shipping evil people out of this country.
Well, people who came here and broke the law in the first place.
They're going back to their place of origin.
But they're people who murdered people.
They're people who rape people.
That's right.
What they said, we saw this morning on Fox News, Monday, they said they're sending the worst first.
They're sending the people out who are recognized criminals.
So they're sending them out first, which only makes sense for a country.
Mondo, wouldn't it make sense if you lived in another country and your president of that country decided, hey, I'm going to put this country first?
Listen, the example that you can look at is the president of El Salvador.
He put El Salvador first, meaning that he cared about the people and the gangs and the criminals that were terrorizing El Salvador are now being locked up and be put in prison.
But it's a message that the world needs to understand that no longer you can send your criminals into a nation without going through the process first.
But we're watching President Trump send a clear message to the world.
And over the weekend, while people were watching the football game, President Trump was dealing with the president of Colombia, and the president of Colombia was rejecting a lot of those criminals that were coming in.
Yet President Trump sent a clear message and within hours, not days, not months, within hours.
Yeah, he reneged everything he said he did.
He renegotiated and said, wait a minute, we're sending our planes and we're going to pay for them to come back to our nation.
I think the world knows that.
Let me ask you something.
Did you live in California?
Absolutely.
Love California.
It's beautiful, isn't it?
Oh, unbelievable.
It's God blessing a nation, and California was a beautiful state.
Yes.
But California has turned their back on God so much.
Yeah.
And there's some good Christians in California.
That's good people.
I preach in a lot of the churches out there when I used to go out and preach.
That's right.
You go out and preach now, don't you?
Yep, we do.
But yeah, California, I mean, a lot of powerful men of God are there, but we also see there's a media industrial complex there, very, very much so corruption.
And the governmental agencies of California have also very clearly stated they don't want God in their power.
Do you understand what Trump means when he said you didn't let the water come down from the north?
Absolutely.
Listen, we have been tracking Gavin Newsom and the mayor of LA do things that are unprecedented, yet not likely.
Why do you think they did that?
Money.
Well, Gavin Newsom made it very clear.
Absolutely.
They're already envisioning an LA 2.0, 15-minute cities everywhere.
They made it very clear that their agenda is to quickly build back 15-minute cities, which means government dependency.
That's all a 15-minute city means.
Boy, we don't want that.
No, no.
And that's why I think 77 million people came out and showed their support for the Republican Party as well as Donald Trump.
And they said, we're tired of people just talking.
We want action.
We want America.
This revealed a lot of the people in California that understand that they keep electing people that take advantage of the people.
If you look at the spectrum of America, 90% of the states are in debt.
Yet, why do we continue to vote in people that are not running their states properly, let alone the water system?
I mean, Chicago used to be one of my favorite cities, my uncle and it is a beautiful city.
It's sitting there.
And believe it or not, they owned a casket factory in Chicago.
Did you know that?
I did not know that.
Oh, I used to go over there and my aunt, she would show us her caskets, and she did the interiors and all.
And it was quite interesting.
I mean, not with more, but really it was interesting.
Yeah, it's a real job.
But Chicago was a great city.
Absolutely.
And they have just destroyed the city so much.
Well, that's what happens when woke ideology gets embedded into politics.
Whenever the governors are more concerned about transgendering children than they are the actual tax cuts for their lower and middle class people, they're more worried about pushing an ideology in the school system so kids think that they can be whatever they want to be.
That's what I'm missed about what Trump has done.
It's common sense.
Yeah.
But it's common sense is there's two humans on earth, man and woman.
Amen.
Is that all right with you?
It's biblical.
It's the way God intended it.
That's all there is.
The devil wants to have a lot of kids.
That's right.
Well, he wants to confuse people's identity.
I'm sick of the devil.
Amen.
That's right.
Well, we're going to be talking about a book called Devil Come Out.
So it seems like it fits right in with what you're talking about.
Soul Alive 00:15:56
This is going to be a great show today.
Amen.
Welcome back.
Welcome back.
You've been missed.
A lot of your friends that watch you miss you.
Listen, you can see him and stop asking us where he is.
I'm not that.
He's not.
I'm not that person.
No.
I'm just back today.
And I'll come back when you ask me.
Amen.
Now, don't say that because then they're going to be able to do that.
We're not asking him.
Yeah.
Hey, listen.
We got to give you grace.
You're 85.
You had, what, seven strokes?
Seven strokes on the side.
So be merciful on us.
For him, Monk, I had two more strokes.
About two weeks ago, you had two more strokes.
Well, I got to say this.
You look pretty good.
That's right.
Praise God.
You look pretty good.
I'm going to tell you, I had one stroke two weeks ago.
And I lost my speech for about one minute.
And I said, oh, God, don't let this happen.
And my speech came right back.
Amen.
I may be old, but I'm not dead.
Amen.
Amen.
You're still here.
Who's on J Show?
We have Donna Howes, Pastor Donna Howes with us.
She's in the United Kingdom.
We're going to be talking with her about her new book, Devil, Come Out.
Oh, we need it.
And we need it.
I like that.
I haven't read that book.
Amen.
Here, I'll hand this to you.
Friends, I want you to...
You could start sending me books again.
Hey, we're going to start shipping them.
We'll send them back to you.
We'll send about five books a week to his house.
That's about what we have to go through.
You don't get me out of your trouble.
Friends, I want you to open up your Bible.
It's a Colossians chapter one.
Read this with me.
We're starting in verse 9 right here, Monday.
I'm reading out of the CSB version.
That's the Christian Standard Version.
It says right here, for this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven't stopped praying for you.
Friends, find people in your life that won't stop praying for you.
It's important to have people of prayer around you, that when you're going through trials and tribulations, they're feverishly praying and fasting for you.
We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might.
Friends, not according to your glorious might, not according to anything you can do.
We're strengthened through his glorious might.
So that you may have great endurance and patience joyfully, giving thanks to the Father who has enabled you to share in the saints' inheritance in the light.
He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us in the kingdom of the Son he loves.
In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Friends, if you're watching this today and you're not a Christian, there's never been a better day to give your life to Jesus right now.
The word of God says here very clearly, he will take you from where you are, which is the kingdom of darkness, and he will transfer you to the kingdom of the Son and whom he loves, friends.
That is Jesus Christ.
Jesus made it very clear, friends, there aren't multiple ways to heaven.
You can't get into heaven through Muhammad or through Buddha or through some relic or through good works.
Jesus said, I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life.
Nobody comes to the Father except through me.
But friends, the only reason that we can come to the Father is except through him and his blood.
There was a sacrifice he made on a cross.
And friends, he wants you to be joint heirs with him.
And friends, this right here in Colossians, open it up and be encouraged because he wants you to be a part of his family, heir to the throne.
And friends, eternity is a long time.
Make that critical decision today.
If you've been a prodigal son or a prodigal daughter, or if you feel like you've drifted away from your relationship with Jesus, come back.
Friends, there's good fruit to be had.
You're a tree that the Lord has grown.
Produce good fruit because those around you can then be blessed by it.
And Dad, one of the things is when you're producing good fruit, the devil wants to attack it.
And Pastor Donna Howells, we want to thank you for being on the broadcast with us today.
We're talking about your new book, Devil, Come Out.
And whenever there is a tree producing good fruit, I want to ask you this, Pastor.
Is that tree going to be attacked by the devil or what?
Oh, you know it.
You absolutely know it.
That's what the enemy does.
He's evil.
He just wants to take us out.
But we have the victory.
And I just think it's that understanding and that knowledge that believers need to have.
We don't quite have it in the church, which is, I think, why I wrote this book.
Amen.
Hold on.
You're moving fast.
This is good.
I'm moving fast.
This is good.
I want you to know something that we are living in a time that prayer is going to be key.
Amen.
And you have been praying for this man sitting there.
You have been praying for us.
Get around people that will pray for you because the church is moving into what I call a Phariseean spirit.
There's a lot of Pharisee spirit in the church.
And God wants to revive it and bring renewals in the church.
Not let it go, guys.
And I tell you, we have a president who wants to stop all this mess that has come to America and bring the light of the gospel into every house.
And the church is responsible for electing a man that is in office today.
The church went into prayer mode.
The church, there were more prayer meetings about this election than any other election in history.
Can you believe that?
More church people were praying.
But at the same time, Ricky, what happened?
The enemy is coming out like a flood, attacking ministers, attacking ministries.
And I believe this book here, devil come out in the name of Jesus.
Come on, you got to start taking authority over your prayer life, over your family, over your sickness, over every matter, because if the devil doesn't come out, Houston, we got a problem.
That's right.
And Pastor, I want to ask you this question.
What do you think is the biggest misconception about deliverance ministry in the church today?
Well, exactly that.
The believers don't think that they need, they don't know that they have demonic strongholds in their lives, right?
They think it's for people in the world.
They don't understand that actually it's the church that needs deliverance.
You see, the great commission was preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, right?
Three things, not just one thing, not just preach the gospel, not even just lay hands on the sick.
But Jesus said three things.
Why?
To make us whole, body, soul, and spirit.
You know, our spirit needs to come alive.
Our bodies need healing, but our souls need to be healed and cleansed.
And that's where demons inhabit.
So when you have a church that denies the power of the Holy Spirit casting out demons, you think you can fix it with counseling, just coming to the altar call, just working through it and hoping it will go.
But this is how the enemy attacks us.
And this is why there's no power in the church to defeat the powers of darkness, because we're denying the very thing God said or Jesus said to us to do, cast out demons.
And they need to be cast out from the people of God.
Because even though our spirits are alive and we're filled with the Holy Ghost, that trauma, those experiences that we brought into Christianity, they're still there in our soul, body, soul, and spirit, right?
We are made up of mind, will, and emotions.
Sorry, our soul man is our mind, will and emotions.
And that's where those demons hold us.
And so when, you know, you were just talking about we got a new present.
I mean, I say I'm like a pretend American here.
But I love America and the fact that you have a new president is incredible.
It is God's timing.
But equally, as God is doing stuff in the physical, he is doing stuff in the spiritual, in the supernatural, and he is doing it in the church.
And deliverance ministry is coming back because God knows it needs to happen.
You cannot have a whole church or even a whole Christian unless you're, if you have demons, unless you're delivered.
And we have to recognize that and do something about it.
Amen.
Amen.
Friends, I want to tell you this book is forwarded by our friend Joseph Z. Friends, we want you to go and get this.
No, yeah, Joseph Z wrote the forward for this.
I saw in right here in the beginning, we have some things right here, endorsements from people like Kelly Copeland, some friends that we've had here.
I'm telling you right now, this is an amazing book.
Friends, we want you to go get this.
It's 1-888-988-1588 or go to our Nori Media affiliate, our Destiny Image affiliate right there, jimbakershow.com.
You can get this book and partner with this ministry.
That's really, Bondo.
They're bringing an important subject to the forefront of people's minds that can you be a believer and deal with demonic strongholds.
Now, Pastor, I want to ask you that question.
A lot of people wonder, can I be a Christian and have a demon?
Can I be a Christian and be harassed by demonic strongholds?
What is the line that says, hey, I have the Holy Spirit living in me?
He's the only spirit that can be living in me, you know, versus, oh, you know, you can have the Holy Spirit and also be struggling with demonic oppression.
Well, so this is it.
And this is a massive misconception.
And any deliverance minister knows this.
So what happens?
When you're dead in Christ, your spirit man is dead, right?
We're dead because of sin.
When we get born again, our spirit man comes alive.
It's like, ooh, we get filled with the Holy Spirit.
We can minister.
The gifts start to operate through us.
There is nothing wrong with our spirit man.
It is perfect in Christ.
The problem is the soul, our mind, willing emotions.
Before we got born again, our soul, our personality was still very active.
What was not active was our spirit man.
It was dead.
Demons do not inhabit dead things.
So then we get born again.
The spirit comes alive.
Those demons are in the soul part of us in the first place.
They're nowhere near the spirit man.
They cannot be there.
So it's good news for those believers who think, oh my gosh, you know, can, you know, Christians have demons in the spirit.
No, your spirit man is brand new.
It is full of the Holy Spirit.
That's why you can speak in tongues.
You can minister.
You can prophesy.
But it's the soul, the mind, will and emotions.
That's what where the enemy attacks.
When we're most vulnerable, that's where demons come in.
If we've been abused in any way, demons come in there.
If we've been rejected or feel abandoned, that's where the demons come in.
Not the spirit of a man, but the soul.
And so that's the misconception with believers that they're like, but I'm full of the Holy Spirit.
You know, two spirits can't occupy the same space.
Absolutely.
You are correct.
Not in the spirit, man, in the soul.
And I think when we understand that, it chests the penny doctor, it makes sense.
For instance, the word of God says in James 1:21, the engrafted word is able to save our souls.
That word save is Zozo.
You obviously, you would know this, which means deliver.
So the word of God can deliver us, it says, from all the wickedness and the overflow of our past life.
The word of God can save us.
A word, a rhema deliver, excuse me, a rhema word coming, oh, that can deliver us.
Even in the worship, you come in with heaviness and you feel so much lighter.
So deliverance is not just come back in Jesus' name, you know, and this big thing.
Deliverance is natural and a normal part of a Christian's life.
And so you can get delivered all those different ways, but sometimes you need help and you need a deliverance minister because that trauma, those demons have been in there from childhood.
They've been in there.
It's so awful what you've gone through that you need help.
And so there are various ways to get delivered.
And I think the other misconception, and it's got to be this massive screaming, yelling, it is not that.
Sometimes it is, but it's not always that.
It is very gentle.
It is part of the salvation experience, body, soul, and spirit.
Wow.
I'm over here writing all this down.
This is I had that experience when I came to the Lord.
The first thing that this pastor did was bring me into his office and gently walk with me through the process of deliverance and understanding that everything that I had been dealing with with the trauma, the soul ties of the world, if I didn't deal with them then, he told me this, they're going to hunt you later in your Christian life.
Because if you think that you're not having soul ties and having that, then you're wrong.
I believe that I, listen, dad, right now, I have a lot of friends in ministry, friends that have been walking with the Lord 20, 30 years that are being tormented by these devils, by this demons, by this, and they don't want to admit that they need deliverance.
And yet they're losing their families, they're losing their ministries, they're losing this, they're losing that.
And these are good Christian people.
Yet the spiritual realm is what you and I have always talked about for 26 years on the soul ties and the man being tormented by the devil.
That's right.
Jesus died to save us from our sins.
And he forgives us for our sins.
But we're living in a day where if you get accused by the devil, is the devil what?
Accuser of the brethren.
Now listen to me.
Don't let the devil accuse you.
Ask Jesus to forgive you and just go on.
But we're living in a perilous, perilous time.
We're thankful we've got a new president.
But we need even more, we need revival.
We need a spirit of God in America.
And if you give your life to the Lord.
And you know what I see so much?
I see preachers that are being persecuted by the devil.
Who's the accuser of the brethren?
The devil.
The devil.
And this is our guest today, Donna, is telling us that we have power over the devil.
Amen.
Amen.
And this is what I've learned more of it in the last few months than anything.
The devil tries.
Has the devil ever tried to bring your past sins up to you?
All the time.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
And so all you have to do is say, get out of here, devil.
I'm not buying that anymore.
And great preachers are being cast out of their pulpits because they've failed in some way, had a sin of some sort.
A Tool for Deliverance 00:09:18
Jesus died to save us from our sins.
Amen.
Not to give us perfect life.
It is a perfect life when we serve for him.
But we need to really, as Donna says, say, devil, come out.
Absolutely.
Listen, if you want this book, you can order it right now.
Call the name of God.
We need to get it.
Absolutely.
This is a tool that is going to help you understand.
I love how she explained it because when people talk about deliverance, they talk about this, you know, theatrics and screaming.
Yet what she said, it's gentle.
Talking, worshiping.
Man, going to church alone, just sitting at church can be something that can be a delivery moment for you.
Pastor Donna, how can pastors and church leaders incorporate deliverance ministry into their congregation effectively and biblically?
Yeah, I just want to pick up on something you said about revival.
Because since the deliverance ministry has taken off in our church, we have seen revival in our church.
And the reason is because everything that the enemy has oppressed us with and gripped us with, it's gone.
So people are free.
They are so full of the Holy Spirit.
And the first, talking about, you know, ministers struggling with this, the first person that got fully delivered in our church was one of our associate pastors, which was the biggest shock to me.
And that's when the Holy Ghost started revealing what deliverance is all about.
And so in our church specifically, deliverance is just part of the altar call.
So people come up at the end of the service.
If it's not during the service, at the end, there will always be people to pray.
All our ministers will pray.
And if people need deliverance, they can get deliverance.
If they need healing, they can get healing, filled with the Holy Ghost.
You know, whatever people need, they can receive it at the altar.
So what we do, we just incorporate it.
It's just another tool.
It's one of the weapons of our warfare.
And the churches are not picking up this weapon.
So, you know, the enemy is coming at them and they just don't know what to do.
They have to adopt or receive the deliverance ministry because it's for the church.
It cleans up the church.
It brings revival to the church because it brings revival to the individual.
Let me tell you, people don't know, like you said, they are good, godly people.
They love the Lord.
They're preaching the word.
They're in the pulpits.
And yet they are still played with addictions.
They are still plagued with anger, insecurity, feeling rejected, envious, all manner of things.
But anger is a classic.
And what is it?
It's not you.
We're brand new creations.
It is a demon that takes over your personality.
It's coming at the most vulnerable time of your life.
Normally when we're kids, even in the womb, I mean, it's all in the book.
Obviously, I don't have time to say it all, but everything is in the book.
Even sickness and disease, that spirit of infirmity.
Let me tell you something.
Jesus was so incensed.
In Luke 13, he goes into the temple to minister.
He sees a woman bent over double.
She's a daughter of Abraham.
And he was like, How have you allowed this to happen?
She is a daughter of Abraham, and yet for 18 years, she has been bound over.
And what Jesus did, first of all, he said, Woman, thou art loose from thy spirit of infirmity.
Then it says he went and laid hands on her and she stood upright.
I mean, so beautiful that he was the first face she saw, right?
What did he do?
He rebuked that spirit first.
Many of us are in sickness.
Not everybody, not every sickness is a demon, but many are.
Those demons, what do they do?
They bind you.
They bound that woman.
Jesus saw it straight away.
He rebuked the demon.
Then it says he laid hands on her.
So what does that mean?
So when people come for the altar call, we're aware that this could be just a normal healing, a normal salvation, a normal whatever, but it could also mean they need deliverance.
Because we're aware of it, we can use that.
It is a tool.
Jesus gave it to the church to use.
And the saddest thing is, is the enemy is in a very good job of keeping it out of the church, but it's about to start.
It's starting all over the place.
And we are seeing the power of God.
And many of us need many ministers, need deliverance.
And it's not anything shameful because in our church, all our family have been delivered.
All our leaders, everybody has, because we recognize the importance of it to get rid of anything the devil would use to hold us back.
Amen.
I know you just referred to a few things, but what are some of the most common open doors that allow demonic influence into someone's lives?
And more importantly, how can these things be closed?
Yeah.
So, I mean, a lot is addictions.
Okay.
Addictions to pornography, classic.
So many people are caught up in that.
Ministers, men, women, that is classic.
Anger.
This is the one thing with deliverance, and this is where people always need help.
When you've done stuff, when you're in addiction of any kind, it could be alcohol, pornography, gambling, and you could be an angry person because of how you've been brought up, what you've seen.
It's not something you've done.
Because what repentance does, it brings deliverance.
But so many times, it's not what you've done.
It's what's been done to you.
Right?
The enemy is so wicked.
So if you've been abused as a kid, physically, sexually, emotionally, if you've been in a household that rejected you, your parents didn't even want you to start with.
If you've been in adulterous relationships, if you have low self-esteem, you're fearful of everything.
It's when we're at our most vulnerable, that's when those demons come in.
And it starts as a whole chapter how they get in in the book.
And it starts in the mind.
You mull over it.
You get frightened.
Then once it gets into the heart, that's your belief system.
Because the word of God says, believe in your heart, confess with your mouth, and you will be saved, that Jesus is Lord and you will be saved.
It's the same thing with demons.
If you believe it enough that, you know, you're frightened, that you're fearful, that you're angry, that because you've been sexually abused, nobody wants you.
You're damaged goods.
You'll never get over this.
Maybe you've had an abortion as a woman and you feel so guilty and the enemy makes you feel shamed and guilt and whatever.
You feel that in your heart.
You believe, well, this is my identity.
And so those things are the main ones that come in and how we kick them out.
And then what you have to do is keeping the house clean.
Let me tell you, deliverance is not a magic answer.
It is part of the whole, you've heard me say already, the whole salvation experience.
So when that enemy comes back and says, oh yeah, look at you, you know, nobody wants you.
Once you've been delivered, you say, I rebuke you, enemy.
You stay away from me in the name of Jesus.
I am whole.
I am blessed.
I am full of the Holy Ghost.
So you come back with the word of God.
And this is why it's really deliverance is for believers and believers who know the word of God.
You have to know the word of God.
So when that enemy comes back with that anger, with that feelings of abuse and all that, that you are able to keep him out because he's out or those demons are out.
But listen, they lost their home and they want to come back.
So you have to be able to deal with that.
And that's the deliverance ministry.
You teach the whole part of the deliverance ministry.
And so we have that in our church.
And of course, I do that.
I train people now because it's not just about, you know, the minister or the deliverance minister being able to do this.
Deliverance ministry should be operational in every Christian, in every believer.
We are all called preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, not just special people, every single one of us.
So my mission, honestly, I wrote the book.
It's simple.
It's easy to understand, but it's like a training, a tool.
So every Christian knows how to operate in deliverance.
Amen.
Boy, if there's ever a book needed right now, this is it right now.
And you can order it and get it.
Devil, come out.
I want to ask you something, Ricky.
Yes.
This is embarrassing questions.
No problem.
That's every other question.
How often do you take a bath?
Oh, twice a day.
I don't bathe a shower, but I probably.
Shower's a bath.
Yeah, yeah, twice a day.
Twice a day.
Yeah, my wife wished I did it three times a day, probably.
When I wake up to wake myself up and then, you know, after a long time.
Okay, how many of you take a bath every day?
Everyone wants to raise their hands.
Everybody's handed down.
Listen to me.
Why We Need Forgiveness 00:13:45
What is wrong with asking God to forgive you, to help you every day?
That's right.
To cleanse you.
Amen.
There's a lot of preachers who have failed.
I mean, it's an epidemic.
You know what I'm talking about, boys?
100%.
Category boys.
That's right.
Absolutely.
We are boys.
Man.
Man, boys.
But these preachers are some of the most dynamic, great men of God that have failed the boy.
And they've made a mistake.
I'm studying everything.
I may not be on the show, but I'm working.
I'm studying.
That's right.
And I'm telling you, Jesus came to forgive us of our sins.
He died on the cross that we have forgiveness.
He died that we would be forgiven.
Why don't we forgive each other?
Huh?
Amen.
What about your children?
You need to forgive your children.
And the Bible makes it very clear, you have to forgive if you want to be forgiven.
You know, David said it best when he was riding out of a place of pain in the Old Testament.
He said, had it had been someone I didn't know, I could have withstood this, but it was my brother who was attacking him.
He was saying, it was someone I loved that is attacking me, that is wounding me, that's hurting me.
If it's someone I didn't know, if it was a stranger, I could have withheld this.
I could have handled this.
But the fact that it was someone I loved, he had to deal with forgiveness there.
Friends, you may be going through something right now where someone you love, you may be saying the same thing that David did in the Old Testament.
If it was someone I didn't know, if it was a stranger on the internet, if it was just a passerby, I could have handled this fine.
But it was someone that I loved who is wounding me.
It was a brother of mine or a sister of mine that is hurting me.
You may be dealing with that unforgiveness, with that bitterness.
And friends, you need to forgive that person.
Forgiveness doesn't mean the other person did the right thing or they're right or they're correct.
Forgiveness means that you're free.
Forgiveness means you no longer have to carry the baggage.
Forgiveness means you no longer have to be bound by chains, friends.
Forgiveness means I'm taking on the yoke of Christ, which is easy.
I'm taking on his burden, which is light.
And friends, I promise you, forgiveness is one of the critical keys for the warfare that we wage as Christians.
Now, people might be saying, well, how is forgiveness a weapon of warfare?
Well, friends, what it does is it disarms the enemy.
What it does is it doesn't allow the arrows to pierce through the shield.
It doesn't allow the arrows to get all the way to you, friends, because while they're on their way, they lose their flame.
They lose their speed.
They lose their sharpness.
Because you say, no matter what it is you throw at me, I've given it to the Father.
It's the Father's business now.
I know my business is simply to forgive.
And friends, if you call yourself a Christian, if you wear that title, if you say, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, look to your left and look to your right.
Go to the grocery store.
Go to anywhere you can find.
Find other believers.
Friends, those are your brothers and your sisters.
Those are the people that you're supposed to treat well.
Friends, Paul says it very, very beautifully.
Be good to everybody, but especially those of the household of faith.
And friends, it seems like the Christian world has flipped that upside down, or we're better to those outside of the household of faith.
But friends, we need to get back to what the word of God says to do and promise you that bitterness will start to dissolve.
The unforgiveness, when you say, Lord, I forgive them.
Friends, and I'm going to say this right now, and this may be controversial to some people.
Say it even if you don't believe it.
Lord, I forgive them.
Lord, I forgive them.
Speak it until it's the reality of your life, until your heart is molded, until you become soft again in the master's hands.
And he can mold you into what he wants you to be.
Speak it into existence.
Lord, I forgive them even though they hurt me.
You know, I had another stroke last month.
Yes.
And you know how when I had it?
Tell me when.
You don't want to know.
I had the stroke.
And I won't tell you who, but one of my old friends.
Everybody's my friend now.
Who started PTL with me and helped me build it.
Yes.
And he told me there was 15 people Who joined together to take over PTL?
Yes.
And he named them.
And I, oh my God, these are my friends.
It's terrible you have to forgive your friends.
Try or your brother or your friends.
Somebody who you thought was next to Jesus.
Yes.
And you find out that they've sold you down the river.
But when you forgive, I don't have anything against anybody.
That's right.
I mean, sometimes I'll see something with somebody on it and I'll come upset.
And then I'll say, oh, I forgive them.
Amen.
And it's refreshing to forgive.
Amen.
Donna, I think this book is so great.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
You know, Donna, are you still here, Donna?
Yeah, I'm still here.
I'm enjoying the conversation.
It's amazing.
And I would definitely read that book if you wrote it.
I think it's so significant.
The forgiveness is key, which is key in deliverance ministry.
You can't get delivered unless you forgive.
And so, yeah, I'm listening.
This is wonderful.
I'm getting blessed.
You know, my sister is the only family member that's alive right now.
That's right.
She's my sister, Donna.
I have a sister, Donna, and I love her.
She stayed with me all through my life.
And she's in a nursing home right now.
And she's a little weak.
And I love her so much.
Oh, God.
I'm looking forward to heaven so she can be where she's playing the piano like she used to be.
Peace, joy, and happiness.
Amen.
Even when you're old, do you know how many years are old?
Be honest with you.
Are you old?
Do you think you're old?
There's a lot of sense of you.
Just think when you get to heaven, you're going to be at your perfect age.
And I don't know what that, what is a perfect age, Joe?
Do you know?
People say it's 33, but well, you're going to be at your perfect age in heaven.
You're going to be your prime.
You're not going to have any sickness.
You're not going to have any sorrow.
You're not going to have any tears.
You're not going to have any disappointments.
Nobody's going to knock you around.
You are going to, oh, I told you a while back I had a dream about heaven.
I don't know if it was a dream or a vision or what.
Yeah.
But it lasted all night.
Ricky, I think I told you.
You did.
You shared it on the show.
It was amazing.
They're singing and worshiping and praying.
They were singing.
For three days straight.
Three days.
It was an all-night singing, but they were singing three days.
And I loved it.
I enjoyed it so much.
And you want, I know it's a reason.
I shouldn't say who was there.
Oh, good.
No, tell them who you saw in your dream.
Well, because people think the Lord showed you these people for a reason.
You want to pick who's there.
God picks who's there.
Amen.
And you know who is singing at the all-night thing?
Elvis Presley.
And he loved Jesus more than anybody I ever saw.
Amen.
Come on, people.
The Lord weighs the heart.
That's the beauty of it.
God loves you.
God loves your people.
God loves all of you.
Some of my children, as far as I know, are not saved.
Yes.
We're working on them.
But I love him.
Amen.
I said, we're working on Monday.
I was just kidding.
I was just kidding.
Mondo's saved.
I know that.
That's a joke.
I love Jesus.
I was just kidding.
Mondo, could we do a show one day?
Boss?
Please.
And I interview you.
Sure.
That'd be a good show.
Absolutely.
26 years you guys have been together.
You guys have been 27, please.
27 now?
I've earned 27.
27.
Forgive me for, I'm old.
I like to talk about family and stuff.
But Mondo's been with me 27 years.
Yeah.
27.
It's a long time.
And I want to say something, Mondo.
You haven't been perfect.
No.
No, sir.
My wife can attribute to that.
But I love you.
I love you.
No, I love you more.
Amen.
And Mondo was a gangbanger.
Yeah.
I just gotten out of prison a few years, and I was there at the Dream Center.
And that's where I met Mondo.
And somebody whispered to me when we were walking down the hall.
So I didn't know who Mondo was.
He picked me up at the airport.
He was my buddy.
I mean, we call him road dogs in prison, but he picked me up and showed me a way around.
And somebody whispered to me, one of your friends, I won't say who, but whispered to me, said, do you know who that is?
That's a gangbanger.
He's killed people.
He's been in the gangs.
And I don't know if it's true or not, but I didn't care.
I knew he was under the blood.
Even killers would be under the blood, even if you were one.
So, you know what I mean?
Do you understand?
I don't want to embarrass you.
No.
Because we don't need to dig in the past.
But here we are 27 years ago.
27 years.
Yeah.
And it's forgiveness.
Amen.
People seem to forget that Jesus died even for those that you dislike.
And Jesus died for those who you may have hatred in your heart towards.
Jesus died for those who have accused you wrongly.
Jesus died for all those people who have hung on that cross, not just for me and you, friend.
He hung on that cross for all of humanity.
That every single human being would have a chance at heaven because of his blood.
So, friends, whether you like the person, you don't like the person, he died on the cross for them.
Friends, it should be our goal to get every single person, whether you love them or you don't love them, into heaven.
And friends, if you are a believer, a Christian, a true practicer, a follower of Christ, friends, then it should be your daily goal to forgive those around you and to help those whom you at one point in your life didn't like to come into the fullness of what God has for them.
Because, friends, I promise you, Mondo, you had interactions where people of opposing gangs would come to you and you were able to lead them to the Lord.
Men who at one point you vowed to make a vow of hatred towards, but you're saying, you know what?
You're worth it because Jesus died on the cross, even for them.
Forgiveness has been the key to being sustained under the blood.
You know, a lot of times we want to welcome people and that's great and it's always fantastic.
But I look at the journey of developing your walk with Christ.
I made a lot of mistakes and I saw you and mom really nurture me into where I am today.
Struggles that I've had throughout the process after being a Christian is called deliverance, you know, and being deliverer.
When you were my boy, you have been my boy about 27 years.
I've adopted you, but I mean, I can't because you have a father and he's gone into heaven.
But this is awful mixed up, but I hate, I'm telling you, telling stuff on you, and I shouldn't.
It's okay.
But in your walk, about halfway through, we had to go to a prison to bail you out.
Yeah, jail.
I don't know what you did.
Forgive and Repent 00:10:04
Yeah, we'll talk about it later.
You never know who's watching.
Allegedly.
Allegedly, something happened.
I could have just said, you failed, boy.
Get out of my house.
Yeah.
I never told him to get out of my house.
No, the thing is this.
I was drinking and made a wrong decision to get in a vehicle and got a DUI.
And I love being honest because with honesty, people can do, come against you.
But in my development of being a Christian, I was never a heavy drinker, but that night I just drank because I received bad news and I ended up in jail for 24 hours.
And yet, this man, Jim Baker, your friend, your pastor, said, I'm not going to throw you away.
Amen.
Come to me.
If you want to drink, go to the backyard, but I don't want you driving because you're going to kill somebody with that wrong decision.
But that was my journey to trust God completely with everything I had in me because I never seen anybody stood with me when I made a mistake.
So when you, mom, Grandma Shark rally around me.
Didn't Grandma Shark come to the prison?
Grandma Shark came in and she bailed me out, gave me a big hug, and you know, but forgave me, but also gave me that talk.
That's what the church is.
We're bailers out to win.
We're restorers.
Amen.
We are restored.
And if you are here, some of you aren't even saved and you think you're saved, but you're not even saved because you're so mean.
Mean people are not Christians.
Good people.
You know by the true Christian.
And he says, if you don't forgive, you will not be forgiven.
Amen.
Is that right?
That's right.
That's what the word of God says.
And we stand on the word of God.
And, you know, we have Pastor Donna Howells with us just a few minutes left on the broadcast.
Pastor Donna, if somebody is struggling with unforgiveness, if somebody is struggling with a demonic oppression, just a few minutes left.
What would you say to them today to help their journey begin to become free?
Well, it's everything you guys have been saying.
Forgiveness is the key.
The thing is, the devil is a legalist, right?
And if you haven't forgiveness in your heart, he will not go.
You can cast him out forever and he will stay there.
Because as you've already said, you know, if we don't forgive people, then God can't forgive us.
So the first thing is acknowledging that because many people who have demons are oppressing them, they've been abused.
They've been treated badly by somebody.
They've had lots of people talk about them, say awful things.
So you have to be able to forgive.
And I always say that, and you've already said it, all of you, that you do it by faith.
Christianity is not about feelings.
If it was about feelings, none of us would do anything.
It's about faith.
So you have to forgive people by faith.
When you do that, the enemy can no longer grip you and hold you.
So forgiveness, it is such a key.
It is like poison, isn't it?
Forgiveness, you know, and it well, it's a debt owed.
Uh, Miss Carolyn Saval always says it, you know, when an offense occurs, a debt is owed.
Forgiveness is the cancellation of that debt.
And as believers, we have to forgive.
It's not just a suggestion, we must.
And when we do, that's why you guys have this great report.
And it's your testimony that this is the grace and mercy of God towards everybody.
And I can tell you something about deliverance that it makes you compassionate.
It gives you more compassion for people because you recognize the way they've been, how they've acted, how unkind they are to you.
There's always a reason.
And behind it, it's probably demonic.
The way they were brought up, what they've experienced causes people, even born-again believers, to act in a certain way.
And so, forgiveness is the absolute key.
And I would encourage anybody you've heard all the conversation today, and you know, especially things about what I'm talking about: the demonic, forgive, and then say, Father, I repent.
I renounce this feeling of anger, of jealousy, of hurt, of betrayal, of blame, of shame, of addiction.
I renounce it.
I deny that authority for those demons to be in me.
I renounce them now in the name of Jesus.
And I forgive everybody that's ever hurt me or upset me, abused me, molested me, taken stuff from me in the name of Jesus.
Thank you, Father.
Devils, come out.
And I'm telling you, you will receive freedom.
It's really as simple as that.
Amen.
I want everybody to get this book.
That's right.
Amen.
Look at the cover.
Devil, come out.
Come out.
You have the power in Jesus.
Amen.
Amen.
Ricky.
I want to ask you a really difficult question.
Yes, I do brush my teeth every day.
No, I didn't.
All right.
It's a factory ticket twice a day.
After you were saved.
Yes.
Did you ever sin?
Oh, yes.
Are you kidding me?
It was a journey.
Absolutely.
Oh, yes.
Come on.
Everybody thinks you're perfect after you're saved.
That's the common misconception.
I heard that growing up throughout church all the time was, oh, boom, you're saved.
You're good to go.
Well, friends, it's far from the truth.
You said I was saved because a journey.
We're still walking that journey every single day.
Our brother Paul, who wrote the majority of the New Testament, the Pauline doctrine, which the majority of us teach and love.
Friends, what does he do?
He progressively goes, Well, I'm a sinner.
I'm a sinner saved by grace.
I'm this.
And finally, at the end of it, he goes, You know what?
I'm the chief of sinners because he realizes, friends, that he said, I do the things I don't want to do.
And I don't do the things that I want to do.
It was a battle every single day to wake up.
And friends choose to live the gospel.
But, friends, we have an example like that brother who was on his way in Acts in the book of Acts, and he was on his way to kill Christians.
Our time's gone.
But you know what?
He had an encounter with Jesus.
I'm not the boss anymore.
He had an encounter with Jesus.
Ricky is my heir, apparent.
I appreciate that.
Thank you.
And you take the show.
I just take all the things out of your brain.
You're taking my place.
Amen.
And so I get to go home.
And, you know, when I have strokes, I just get lay in bed for a while.
To rest.
But he's taken over for me.
I just want you to know that.
This is my heir, Ricky Baker.
Amen.
I appreciate you.
I love you.
And you have a beautiful wife.
Brooke.
And she's going to be on the show.
Yes.
And you have three beautiful kids.
Amen.
I hope you have a hundred more.
Well, no, not a hundred.
Well, these condos here.
We'll have to fill them up.
Amen.
I'll tell you, it is so exciting to have Ricky Baker.
Amen.
And it's an honor to do this.
Take my place.
Amen.
And I'll get to come back once in a while.
Yeah, that's what he.
He says when we invite him, friends, I promise you, it's when he has the ability.
But he's 85 years old.
He has run a really, really strong race.
His voice is still prevalent.
He's still the watchman on this wall, the founder of this ministry.
And friends, keep praying with us.
Keep standing with us.
Keep supporting this ministry so that we can continue to bring guests like we had today, Pastor Donna Howells.
And Pastor Donna, we want to thank you for being on the broadcast with us.
Donna Spit dies.
What a blessing.
Amen.
Get her book.
Thank you.
It's got a Jim Baker endorsement on it.
There we go.
I do.
There we go.
I know what I'm saying.
Verbally.
Yeah, verbally.
Yeah.
But some of my friends endorse this book.
Well, it's forwarded by Joseph Z, a great friend to this ministry.
But you need to read.
Amen.
Pastor, do you know when I'm away?
I can't really walk without Cain.
But I talk with God every day.
Amen.
And we know you do.
I've learned more with God.
And I'm so excited to go to heaven.
But I'm going to heaven when God says so.
So got another 20 years or so.
Our time's gone, I know.
I would say this, friends, as we go off the broadcast today, open up your Bible, the book of Revelation.
Friends, we're in chapter 7 right here.
It says in verse 13.
Then one of the elders asked me, who are these people in white robes and where did they come from?
I said to him, Sir, you know.
And he told me, these are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.
They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
For this reason, they are before the throne of God and they serve him day and night in this temple.
The one seated on the throne will shelter them.
And Dad, this is the most encouraging thing for believers, friends, if you're going through trials and tribulation.
Remember, this is a promise to you.
They will no longer hunger.
They will no longer thirst.
The sun will no longer strike them, nor any scorching heat.
It says, For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them.
He will guide them to springs of the water of life.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eye.
Friends, that's your promise today.
Friends, that's all the time we have for today's broadcast.
If you're on the show, so you got to say it.
God loved you.
Join Jim and Lori Baker every day as they welcome anointed teachers.
Remember that God loves you.
He really does.
And the most dynamic personalities from around the world as we share grace and restoration.
Power over the gods.
You know, the Bible says, who is like you, O Lord, among you?
