Wife's First Editing
00:02:03
|
|
| I wish my wife was here. | |
| She was supposed to come, but we had a family thing and she couldn't, but she was going to come. | |
| But she could verify this. | |
| And I know you know I'm not lying to you, but I just, what I'm going to say is so incredible. | |
| I told her three or four times in that seven or eight months I was working on that, getting it ready. | |
| It was already under contract. | |
| I had given the idea to the publisher, and I said, this is what I think God's put on my heart. | |
| Yes, we want that. | |
| So I'm writing it three or four times. | |
| I had my hand on the phone to pick up and call my publisher and say, I just, I can't do it. | |
| It's just too much. | |
| There's just too much going on in the world, too much in my life, too much in my ministry. | |
| I'm uncovering things that I don't know how I can wrap my mind around, and it's overwhelming me. | |
| It was a demonic warfare. | |
| Satan didn't want it out there. | |
| No, that's right. | |
| But yet, after I would voice that to my wife, she would encourage me as a good spirit-filled wife does, and she'd listen to me, and then she'd roll her eyes. | |
| No, no, no, I tease her about that. | |
| Women know how to do it. | |
| Yeah, they do. | |
| But she would encourage me. | |
| So the bottom line is, Sister Lori, you're right. | |
| I finished it right up to the closing pages. | |
| It was a struggle. | |
| And then, after it was done, I felt this relief. | |
| And then my wife does the first editing. | |
| Then it goes to the publishers and they do all the professional editing. | |
| She came to me. | |
| She said, I see why you had your spiritual struggle. | |
| And I said, why? | |
| She says, this book blew me away by editing it. | |
| Then, then, when I sent it to the publishers, the professional editor that worked on it for weeks and weeks and weeks, I got two notes from her. | |
| She said, I just had to stop several times and just take a breath and go back and forget editing it. | |
| She said, I was just reading it. | |
| She said, this is changing my life. | |
| That's what the editor said. | |
| Yeah, that's true. | |
| Now I can see, now I understand it. | |
| But while I was writing it, and I'm not saying it's the best book of all time, I'm just saying it's a word for today. | |
