Jim Bakker Show - Such A Time As This - Carl Gallups Aired: 2021-09-20 Duration: 02:04 === Wife's First Editing (02:03) === [00:00:00] I wish my wife was here. [00:00:01] She was supposed to come, but we had a family thing and she couldn't, but she was going to come. [00:00:06] But she could verify this. [00:00:08] And I know you know I'm not lying to you, but I just, what I'm going to say is so incredible. [00:00:13] I told her three or four times in that seven or eight months I was working on that, getting it ready. [00:00:18] It was already under contract. [00:00:19] I had given the idea to the publisher, and I said, this is what I think God's put on my heart. [00:00:23] Yes, we want that. [00:00:25] So I'm writing it three or four times. [00:00:28] I had my hand on the phone to pick up and call my publisher and say, I just, I can't do it. [00:00:33] It's just too much. [00:00:34] There's just too much going on in the world, too much in my life, too much in my ministry. [00:00:39] I'm uncovering things that I don't know how I can wrap my mind around, and it's overwhelming me. [00:00:45] It was a demonic warfare. [00:00:47] Satan didn't want it out there. [00:00:49] No, that's right. [00:00:50] But yet, after I would voice that to my wife, she would encourage me as a good spirit-filled wife does, and she'd listen to me, and then she'd roll her eyes. [00:00:59] No, no, no, I tease her about that. [00:01:04] Women know how to do it. [00:01:05] Yeah, they do. [00:01:07] But she would encourage me. [00:01:08] So the bottom line is, Sister Lori, you're right. [00:01:11] I finished it right up to the closing pages. [00:01:14] It was a struggle. [00:01:16] And then, after it was done, I felt this relief. [00:01:20] And then my wife does the first editing. [00:01:23] Then it goes to the publishers and they do all the professional editing. [00:01:27] She came to me. [00:01:28] She said, I see why you had your spiritual struggle. [00:01:31] And I said, why? [00:01:32] She says, this book blew me away by editing it. [00:01:35] Then, then, when I sent it to the publishers, the professional editor that worked on it for weeks and weeks and weeks, I got two notes from her. [00:01:45] She said, I just had to stop several times and just take a breath and go back and forget editing it. [00:01:50] She said, I was just reading it. [00:01:52] She said, this is changing my life. [00:01:54] That's what the editor said. [00:01:55] Yeah, that's true. [00:01:57] Now I can see, now I understand it. [00:01:59] But while I was writing it, and I'm not saying it's the best book of all time, I'm just saying it's a word for today.
