Times and Seasons 00:01:36
What's the difference between times and the seasons?
Okay, so there is, there's actually different kinds of time.
And so, you know, like just like we understand that there's past, present, and future time, right?
There's also redeemed and non-redeemed time.
And in redeemed time, you're gaining everything because the kingdom is coming.
But in non-redeemed time, you're losing everything.
But there's another kind of time, and the Bible describes two specific kinds of times as times and seasons.
And you can find this in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, and it lists 28 of those, Pastor Jim.
There's 28 of those times in Ecclesiastes chapter 3.
And by the way, the number 28 is a number that represents times and seasons all the way through the Word of God.
And I have a whole chapter on that in one of my books that's on numbers.
But if you go all the way through the Word of God and you see that God stamps the number 28 on something, it tends to represent times and seasons.
Times is like a timeline.
It has a beginning and it has an end, and it's always around some kind of epic event.
But seasons or Moedims, as the Hebrew word is for it, are cyclical and they're circles.
So one is a line, times, and the other one is a circle.
Now, the reason why it's a circle is because it's just like four seasons.
It's meant to be predictable.
If I'm in summer, I know that fall is coming.
And if I'm in fall, I know that winter is coming and so on.
But a timeline is not like that.
A timeline is centered around a specific epic event and the purposes that God wants to fulfill within it.
