Jim Bakker Show - Difference Between Time and Seasons - Troy Brewer Aired: 2021-03-19 Duration: 01:37 === Times and Seasons (01:36) === [00:00:00] What's the difference between times and the seasons? [00:00:05] Okay, so there is, there's actually different kinds of time. [00:00:09] And so, you know, like just like we understand that there's past, present, and future time, right? [00:00:14] There's also redeemed and non-redeemed time. [00:00:17] And in redeemed time, you're gaining everything because the kingdom is coming. [00:00:22] But in non-redeemed time, you're losing everything. [00:00:26] But there's another kind of time, and the Bible describes two specific kinds of times as times and seasons. [00:00:32] And you can find this in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, and it lists 28 of those, Pastor Jim. [00:00:38] There's 28 of those times in Ecclesiastes chapter 3. [00:00:41] And by the way, the number 28 is a number that represents times and seasons all the way through the Word of God. [00:00:47] And I have a whole chapter on that in one of my books that's on numbers. [00:00:50] But if you go all the way through the Word of God and you see that God stamps the number 28 on something, it tends to represent times and seasons. [00:00:59] Times is like a timeline. [00:01:01] It has a beginning and it has an end, and it's always around some kind of epic event. [00:01:07] But seasons or Moedims, as the Hebrew word is for it, are cyclical and they're circles. [00:01:14] So one is a line, times, and the other one is a circle. [00:01:19] Now, the reason why it's a circle is because it's just like four seasons. [00:01:23] It's meant to be predictable. [00:01:25] If I'm in summer, I know that fall is coming. [00:01:27] And if I'm in fall, I know that winter is coming and so on. [00:01:30] But a timeline is not like that. [00:01:32] A timeline is centered around a specific epic event and the purposes that God wants to fulfill within it.
