| 2 Timothy 3.1 This know also that in the last days perilous time shall come. | |
| I read this earlier. | |
| For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient, to parents, unthankful, ungrateful, unholy, | |
| without natural affections, truth breakers, false accusers, incontinent, that's without self-control, fierce, savage, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof from such turn away. | |
| For of this sort they are which creep into houses and lead captive silly women, laden with sins, lead them away with divers or many lusts, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of truth. | |
| This is today. | |
| This is where we're living today. | |
| And these are people today. | |
| It's unbelievable. | |
| This is not the way the world was, even the church world was, 50 years ago when I was a kid. | |
| Let's get back to Job 41, verse 4 this time. | |
| It says, Will you take him as a servant? | |
| Talking about Leviathan, this serpent. | |
| Will you play with him as you would the bird? | |
| Or will you leash him for your maidens? | |
| Will your companions make a banquet of him? | |
| Will they appropriation him among the merchants? | |
| And an easier translation, well, in the MEV, will they divide him? | |
| Will they divide him among the merchants? | |
| That's what that word means, divide. | |
| And will you make a banquet of him? | |
| Will you make it a party? | |
| You cannot get by with playing with the devil. | |
| That's right. | |
| And that's what people are doing today. | |
| This is what's going on in the world today. | |
| Verse 7 says, can you fill his skin with harpoons or his head with fishing spears? | |
| The third thing this spirit does, it gets in your flesh and your thought life. | |
| Remember my old saying, what happens in your mind happens in time. | |
| Yes. | |
| So this spirit gets in your thought life. | |
| That's right. | |
| And, you know, people just don't go rob a prison, rob a jail, I should say, rob a bank. | |
| They just don't go rob a bank and go end up in prison. | |
| What they do is they think about it. | |
| So the third thing this spirit does, it gets in your flesh and in your thought life. | |
| It really does. | |
| And what happens in your mind does happen in time. | |
