	President Trump's foreign policy.
	You've alluded to this during the conversation.
	The tweets, the United States has never been this close to nuclear war.
	Do you agree with them?
	Yeah.
	They would not trust Donald Trump with the nuclear codes or to have his finger on the nuclear button.
	Donald Trump could lead America into nuclear war on a whim.
	President Trump could put the nation on the path to World War III and that the president's tweets have in some instances undermined American diplomacy.
	Because it's not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his skin.
	The president's actions are endangering the country and his threats to other nations could lead to another world war.
	This is not a business deal.
	This is not who builds the next skyscraper.
	The Middle East in flames.
	Israel has formally declared war after that unprecedented multi-pronged terror attack from Hamas.
	Several Americans are now confirmed to be among the dead.
	We were told, dear friends, for what, four years, that President Trump would ignite World War III, that he would pull us out of NATO, and that he'd destabilize Asia and the Middle East.
	Do you remember what it was like under those four years?
	We had peace.
	We were safe.
	Welcome, dear friends.
	I'm Sebastian Gorka, former strategist to the President of the United States.
	This weekend has witnessed the greatest assault and loss of life in Israel since the Holocaust, since the creation of the, or the recreation of the Israeli state in 1948.
	In coordinated attacks across the nation, air, sea and land, hundreds of Israelis, many women and children, were murdered, murdered in their homes, in their beds and hundreds more have been taken hostage and taken back to the tunnels, the hidey holes, the bases of Hamas and all the proxies that are supported in that region by Iran.
	Why did this happen?
	It happened for a multiplicity of reasons, but I'll give you the three biggest.
	The most important one is, evil is no longer afraid.
	Those who would rape and murder a young woman, and then parade her body through the streets, shouting, Allah wakbar!
	God is great!
	Those people are no longer afraid.
	Why?
	Because America is not to be feared.
	Under the lack of leadership of Joe Biden and his Obama era cronies, America has supported evildoers around the world, has kowtowed to them.
	And the worst of all is of course the Iranian regime, the mullahs, who have had millions of dollars and now billions of dollars provided to them and released for their purposes as they see fit.
	As a result of evildoers fearing no evil themselves, what has happened in the last two and a half years?
	The world has erupted.
	There hasn't been war with tanks, with main battle tanks, with jet fighters and bombers and missiles on the territory of the Eurasian landmass since 1945.
	But as soon as Joe Biden Surrendered to the Taliban in Afghanistan so he could get some kind of photo op for the anniversary of 9-11 and say, mission accomplished, I guess.
	Costing the lives of 13 servicemen and women.
	Putin knew he could take Ukraine.
	And so he did.
	Likewise, With, for some reason, the Biden administration wanting to revivify the Obama deal that we killed.
	Let me be clear.
	The proudest moment of my life in the Trump administration was when I and Steve Bannon were called by the president's outer office.
	He said, bring me my heavies.
	That's what he called me and Steve.
	And we went to the Oval Office.
	And we found most of the cabinet arrayed there, sitting on the couch, in the armchairs, standing in front of the resolute desk where the president was sat.
	And he said, he turned to me as that dipsomaniac National Security Advisor, as Rex Tillerson, Reince Priebus was standing there.
	He said, Steve, Seb, tell them why we have to kill the Iran deal and why it's bad.
	And we did!
	Steve and I explained why giving billions of dollars to Iran isn't just bad for the Middle East, it's bad for us!
	Because on Friday, what do they say in the mosques of Tehran?
	They say, Death to the Great Satan!
	Who's that?
	We are the Great Satan!
	They want to destroy us!
	And once we explained to the assembled cabinet members, that's when the president said, OK, I'm killing it.
	And we did.
	No more funding of terrorism out of US taxpayer coffers.

	How safe do you feel today?
	Last night and today there were protests in New York by people who are protesting what?
	They're not protesting the rapes, the murders of unarmed men, women and children.
	These pictures aren't the West Bank.
	They aren't Gaza.
	They're 42nd Street.
	They're Manhattan.
	They're the theater district.
	And just listen to what one of the protesters said last night.
	In New York.

	They never ever would have happened if that man were still in the White House.

	One of the saddest things in my life was after I'd left the administration, I was invited to go back to Israel to visit.
	I've been there many times for the unveiling of our new embassy and the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital.
	I couldn't go for family reasons.
	I regret that we hadn't had that opportunity to be there.
	The man who made that possible and created so much good in that region was the President's personal representative, Ambassador Israel, a friend of America First.

	So, we spoke in the break.
	I'm keeping you and your family and your loved ones in our prayers.
	I have friends who have their sons have deployed back from America to Israel as officers in the IDF.
	We keep them all in our prayers.
	We keep the civilians of Israel in our prayers.
	And I'll just say one thing and then I'll let you speak uninterrupted.
	I hope that now Israel Crushes her enemies into the dust and then salts the earth.

	Ambassador Friedman, please give us your reaction to the events of the last 72 hours.
	I think I would start off by saying that in the last two days we have seen assaults on the Jewish people The likes of which, the cruelty of which, the barbarity of which we have not seen since the Holocaust.
	And I don't think I'm exaggerating.
	A thousand people killed.
	Not soldiers.
	Killed by Hamas terrorists that, for reasons that we'll one day understand, but now it's a mystery how they were able to get through, but managed to breach the border fence that hasn't been breached in 50 years.
	They marched through 22 different towns in southern Israel.
	They pulled women out of their beds.
	They raped them.
	They took babies and killed them.
	They took parents and separated them from their children.
	They held children and made them watch as they slaughtered their parents.
	They decapitated Israeli soldiers while they slept.
	Things that To my knowledge, even ISIS hasn't perfected yet the cruelty that Hamas inflicted upon Israel and then, of course, with great glee and pride, videotaped it all and posted it on social media.
	So, this is it, I guess, is my first point.
	This is it.
	We are no longer, you know, as you know, Hamas has erupted with rocket fire against Israel seven or eight times in the last two decades.
	And Israel, I think, has tried to manage that conflict in a way where, you know, Hamas would be degraded temporarily.
	And then, you know, two, three years later, Hamas would come back and this would start all over again.
	I think no more.
	I think your point at the beginning was exactly right.
	This is time for Israel not to manage a conflict, but to win the war.
	And they will win this war.
	And they will win it, unfortunately, at a great price to the Israeli military, because
	it's not going to be an easy battle.
	This territory in the Gaza Strip is full of booby traps and full of ambushes.
	And I pray for every single one of the brave soldiers who are there now and coming in later.
	And I also worry about somewhere between 100 and 200 hostages who were taken by Hamas.
	Let me tell you about the hostages.
	The hostages include an 80-year-old woman who was a Holocaust survivor who was pulled
	out of her bed, thrown into a jeep, driven back across the Gaza Strip.
	She now has to relive the event that she thought that she would never face again.
	Americans are being held hostage.
	There was a festival in a town called Ofakim in the southern part of Israel.
	A thousand kids, teenagers and young adults, observing a music festival.
	They were the first ones that these terrorists found.
	260 of them were slaughtered.
	A large number of them were pulled into jeeps and taken hostage.
	The abuse of women was rampant.
	And then there were people who were just unaccounted for.
	I've spoken to two sets of American parents whose children are unaccounted for.
	They were last seen in Hamas jeeps being driven away.
	The pain that they're encountering right now, the uncertainty, The distress is unimaginable, as their children are being held in God knows where, inside the Gaza Strip.
	So, what this all comes down to, this is a battle, this is an existential battle of good versus evil.
	It's a battle that we have to win.
	It's a battle we have to win overwhelmingly and decisively.
	And I think as you pointed out, it's a battle that, and it's something we never expected to face.
	You know, we can attribute where we are today to many of the mistakes that were made over the last couple of years.
	And I am, of course, frustrated and heartbroken that after the progress we've made in this area, we're back to this level.
	I don't want to second-guess anything Israel is doing right now.
	I just want to keep them in our prayers.
	But do you have any comment or theory as to why it seems the attack was successful in its surprise element?
	And why, for example, the United States with 17 intelligence agencies likewise didn't see it coming?
	Because that's perhaps one of the most shocking aspects of this all.
	Yeah, I mean, when you think about it, this fence Has not been breached in 50 years.
	This was the wall that President Trump spoke to as proof that walls work, right?
	That's how successful this barrier had been.
	So, I don't know why.
	There will obviously be a commission of inquiry afterwards.
	There's many people, not just curious about what happened, but angry and frustrated and distraught about this.
	So, it's not the time to do that post-mortem.
	It'll happen and we'll find out and we'll find out, you know, what failings occurred in America as well.
	But right now we have to, we just have to go forward and win this battle.
	I mean, the one thing I will say about the lesson, the short-term lesson that I would take from this,
	and it's not too late to, I hope it's not too late for this lesson
	to be internalized in America, is, you know, in Israel, you have, you know,
	you've got PhDs in physics galore.
	You've got geniuses who have figured out how to intercept a rocket, you know,
	going a thousand miles an hour.
	You've got geniuses and the technology is extraordinary.
	And that's important.
	I mean, it's obviously an important part of self-defense.
	I hope that they have not, and we have not, lost sight of, you know, the basic blocking and tackling
	that goes into securing a country.
	And the basic idea that we are facing true evil.
	You can't think too much about it.
	You can't get too complicated.
	This is rank evil.

	It was quieter than it had been in 20 years when we left office, and it's for a number of reasons.
	The first, maximum pressure and sanctions on Iran to the point Of the United States killing the single individual most responsible for Iran's state sponsorship of terrorism, Qasem Soleimani, put Iran back on its heels in a way they haven't been in decades.
	That was President Trump's decision.
	Very courageous and very helpful and very productive in terms of bringing peace to the region.
	cutting off funding to the Palestinian Authority, which uses that money to pay and incentivize
	terrorists.
	Just cut it off completely, but down to zero.
	We cut off the funding of UNRWA, United Nations Relief Works Agency, which puts on—enables
	schoolchildren to put on plays where half the third-grade class dresses up as terrorists
	and half the third-grade class dresses up as Jews, and the terrorists kill the Jews,
	the Jews fall down, the parents applaud.
	We were funding that.
	No more.
	So we were cutting off the lifeline.
	That funded most malign activity, most terrorist activities.
	What's happened since we left office?
	Palestinians are fully funded.
	They're giving that money to Hamas.
	UNRWA is fully funded.
	Money is leaking out to Hamas.
	And mostly, Iran is now a much, much, much richer country.

	At the very time, at the very same time, When the United States is negotiating a prisoner swap with Iran, five for five, except that the United States sweetened their end of it with $6 billion of cash.
	At the same time, they're making that dumb deal.
	Iran is working with Hamas to annihilate the Jewish people of Israel.
	That's happening at the same time.
	And you know what?
	That $6 billion is still stuck in Qatar.
	We ought to get it back.

	We've got to get out the word that this is directly a result of Joe Biden being in the White House as a result of Americans voting Democrat.
	And we have to say that over and over and over again, constantly, to get people to understand that.
	Now, some of the Jews there, some of my fellow Jews there, were actually getting upset when we were talking.
	Some people like me were just saying, this is because of Joe Biden being in the White House.

	The Democrats are destroying our country and Western civilization through Marxism and through their alliance with jihadism.

	I gotta ask you, does it mean anything that Eric Adams now is complaining about immigrants or is it just like, what does that mean?
	Well listen, I actually think that it's a fantastic development whenever we can see Any mayor or governor of any of these blue cities or blue states put pressure on the Biden administration.
	You know, when, I mean, let's see, take like Eric Adams made a lot of news a few weeks ago.
	He said that what's happening with the migrant crisis is destroying, is going to destroy your city.
	Hey, that's fantastic.
	But in the same speech, he said the cause of why it's happening is because of the MAGA Republicans, which is the opposite of Fantastic.
	When Pritzker sent his letter a week, week and a half ago to the White House, if you read the letter, buried right in the middle of it, he's calling on the administration to put somebody in charge of controlling the border.
	What a shot at Biden, at Kamala Harris, who's supposed to be who the borders are, Mayorkas, Who's supposed to be the Secretary of Homeland Security, when a Democrat governor or a Democrat mayor is starting to engage in some of this pressure, even if, listen, there's plenty to criticize of Pritzker and Adams and Hochul and more, but I think that we're moving in the right direction because ultimately, you know, what Seb and Lee care most about is that we actually secure our country, that we're holding these folks accountable and that we're making our nation safe.
	So listen, it's baby steps, it's not good enough, but it's a heck of a lot better than where we were a month ago.

	As a military intelligence professional, as a veteran, I've got to ask you about the events of the last three days in the Middle East.
	We'll find out eventually, maybe in a year or two, why Israel missed it.
	But we spend billions of dollars on intelligence.
	We have 17 intelligence agencies.
	How did America not see this attack, the biggest since the Holocaust, coming?
	Okay, so what we have to do here is, unfortunately, we're forced to speculate in this conversation, because it's only been a couple days, and that's what I'm about to do.
	I think that between Israeli intelligence, U.S.
	intelligence, British intelligence, and or some other allied intelligence, that they did pick up signs.
	That there were warnings.
	That there were red flags.
	That there were conversations that had taken place of concern.
	Listen, we don't know yet.
	We're forced to speculate.
	But I find it incredibly difficult to believe that there were no signs, there were no warnings.
	There's got to be some type of intelligence expert somewhere in this massive, talented apparatus, globally, where they go to a supervisor and they say, look at what I just found.
	What do you think that this means?
	Or, sir, ma'am, this is what I think this means.
	I think that we'll find out that there were people who were in some type of a leadership structure, in some type of a chain of command, where there was some type of a decision made not to act on what was known.
	I find it Impossible!
	That this would get carried out without there being any red flags or warnings.
	No, I think you're absolutely right.
	It's not a question of not catching it, it's a question of leadership not actually acting on information.
	The idea that, you know, hundreds and thousands of terrorists are on the move and there was no signal is absolutely unbelievable.

	We have, it looks like Gaza, it looks like the West Bank.
	We have hundreds, thousands of people holding a sign that says, Globalize the Intifada.

	And then we have the cover of the New York Post with a photograph that's gone viral with one of the female Arabs holding up a phone with the swastika.
	How is this happening in America?

	And unfortunately this is happening all over the globe.
	It's happening in the United States of America.
	It's happening in London.
	It's happening in Australia.
	There are pro-Hamas demonstrators who are out there deciding to take to the streets when they see Hamas terrorists raping and kidnapping and executing.
	They have a trigger that goes off on them where they're like, you know what this means?
	I need to take to the streets where I live, and I need to put on a black mask, and I need to go chant chants that are about wiping Israel off of the map.
	This exists right here in our own country.
	We were just talking about the border a minute ago, and while there might be some baby steps of some Democratic elected officials, which is certainly not enough, We can talk about the threat of what it means when you have a border where you don't know everyone who's coming inside of the country, but you just have to turn on your TV screens, look at social media, you'll see these folks are here already, and you can't convince me that all of these pro-Hamas
	Protesters on the street wearing their ski masks and talking and chanting about how we need to wipe Israel off the map.
	You can't convince me that these are all just, you know, peaceful, freedom-loving, you know, this First Amendment protests that are going on.
	We need to be on guard.
	And maybe the Department of Justice and FBI, instead of going after parents at school board meetings And not having enough bandwidth or prioritizing of the pro-life pregnancy centers that are under attack, instead of going after tens of millions of Trump supporters that they have to be somehow tied in a way to domestic terrorism and Nazism, they should have priority to go after them.

	Good to be with you.
	We have so much to discuss in the next hour about the threat to the fabric of the nation,
	what wokeness means in practice, the assault on classical concepts of masculinity,
	even the basic concepts of what is a man and what is a woman.
	But first, as a former member of the Trump cabinet, I have to ask you your reaction to the
	sordid and tragic events we have witnessed in just the last 72 hours in the Middle East.
	Well, certainly, you know, my heart and prayers go out for those people who've been
	severely affected by the terrorism that has gone on in Israel.
	Yeah.
	And, you know, it's not terribly surprising that terrorist activities are increasing, because the current administration does not seem to be very forceful or very forward-thinking.
	I'm thinking this is probably just the beginning of some of the horrors that we're going to experience because, you know, we have been very lax at our southern border.
	And I'm sure there are lots of people coming through that border who have very bad intentions for our country.
	If there weren't, that would be malpractice on behalf of terrorists.
	I mean, they have an open border and not take advantage of it.
	So I'm sure that they're going to be doing some pretty awful things to us, too.
	They may be coming right on the heels of this to divert our attention away from Israel.
	If you think of the fact that 9-11 was executed by less than 20 terrorists, and we know that at least 50 on the terror watch list were identified in just the last few weeks crossing the southern border, and an estimated 6 to 8 million illegals have crossed the border.
	Someone's saying today, Dr. Carlson, that an attack of this ilk is not a question of if in America, it's a question of when.
	I think that's exactly right.
	And if we were smart, we would be looking at all the possibilities and have contingencies going on.
	You know, why wouldn't they target the 13 or 15 critical substations, electric substations, that the others tie into and, you know, do some major damage to our electric grid?
	You know, just as one example, I mean, there's a gazillion different examples of things that they could be doing, and they're going to do them.
	We better get ready.
	I don't want to tee up a question, but I just remember that a few years ago we were told that my boss, your boss, was going to start World War III.
	And we look back at the four years of President Trump, no new wars, the border secured, ISIS crushed.
	How can any sane person not understand that what we are witnessing, whether it's in Ukraine, whether it's in the Middle East, whether it's in the seas around Taiwan, is a function of not having American leadership.
	And I don't mean neoconservative, let's invade the world leadership, but just, you know, peace through strength.
	Shouldn't this be obvious to all Americans now that what has occurred in the last two and a half years is a function of who's in the White House?
	It should be obvious to anyone at this point.
	Sometimes it has to be pretty dark before some people can see the light.
	I think we're getting there and I'm hopeful that Even a lot of people on the other side of the aisle are starting to recognize that the leadership that we have is leading us to no good place.
	And another couple of years of this, the whole world will be embroiled in some type of conflict.
	You know, China's becoming emboldened.
	There's no reason that they shouldn't carry out their plans toward Taiwan after watching how we react to other things.
	So it's a very Very treacherous time for our country right now with the kind of leadership that we have.
	You in that speech at Turning Point USA, you talked about political correctness as one of the greatest threats to the nation today.
	Political correctness seems like a nice phrase.
	You want to be correct, don't you?
	But I see it simply as a form of censorship and an attempt at thought control, if not simply speech control.
	Do you agree?
	That's exactly what it is.
	And, you know, this is not the first time it's occurred.
	It's occurred in other countries at other times.
	And one of the things that you have to do in order to impose it is you have to dumb down the population.
	You have to get people to stop thinking for themselves and to simply accept what you tell them.
	And then you can say things like, our southern border is completely under control.
	And, you know, the world is going to be dissolved in about 10 years because of climate change.
	You need to have people in a state of mind where they just say, Oh, okay, that's what the authorities said.
	Okay, that's what we'll do.
	And teaching children that they have to sort of monitor everything that they say, because they might offend somebody.
	Rather than teaching them to think about what works for them and for the people around them is a problem.
	And we weren't like that for a very long period of time.
	And I think that's one of the reasons that we were so innovative, so entrepreneurial.
	That's why the vast majority of inventions came out of this country, because we were free thinkers.
	But if you get everybody to have to think the same way, that's certainly not going to happen.
	And we're going to decline, and you can see the decline going on right now.
	Yeah, and also the double standards of, you know, they deem conservatives to be intolerant.
	We look at the streets of New York today.
	Let's just put these pictures up.
	You think that this is Gaza or the West Bank.
	This is the New York pro-Palestinian demonstration today.
	So when this is happening in one of our greatest cities, how worried are you for the future of the republic?
	Well, you know, unfortunately, you know, we have gotten to the place where we want to ensure everybody's rights to the point that we've become foolish.
	Yeah.
	It's sort of like if you were a parent of a child and you say, well, you know, the child's rights are very important.
	We need to make sure that they get what they want.
	So they want to eat candy all day long.
	That's okay.
	I mean, we shouldn't impede them.
	There comes a time when you have to open your eyes and react to the things that are going on around you.
	And what the terrorists are doing and the people that they are employing to do that, Hamas and all of these people, they are terrorists.
	That's what we need to understand.
	This has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats.
	It has to do with people who are out to destroy us and to destroy our society, to destroy our future for our children and our grandchildren.
	And that's the reason that you resist such things.
	And you may do it on the battlefield, you may do it economically.
	You certainly don't go handing them $6 billion and, you know, giving the Palestinians, you know, over $300 million and thinking that that's not going to fall into the hands of those whose desire is to destroy us.
	At some point, you're going to use a little bit of common sense.
	Yeah.
	Where is common sense?
	How common is it today or how rare is it?

	and just whether it's the transgender athletes, whether it's hospitals like Boston's Children Hospital,
	performing transition surgeries on healthy children, children. How...
	How serious is the assault on what we deemed to be the undeniable realities of manhood and womanhood?
	How bad is the ideological assault today?
	Has it ever been this out of control?
	No, it's not been like this.
	No, we've done well as a nation for a long period of time.
	When Ben Franklin came out of the Constitution Hall in 1787, And he was asked, what do we have here, sir?
	A monarchy or a republic?
	He said, a republic, if you can keep it.
	We've kept it for over 240 years.
	We're as close to losing it now as we have ever been.
	And a lot of it has to do with our social infrastructure.
	If you don't have strong families, then you don't have strong communities.
	And if you don't have strong communities, you don't have a strong nation.
	And we're letting all that fall by the wayside.
	Community used to be one of the strongest things about America.
	We took care of each other, even people who came from different areas.
	In the early days, there'd be a hundred families.
	They're from different parts of the world.
	They could barely speak to each other, but they understood the concept of the common good and how to amalgamate your skills and talents together in order to create strength.
	If it was harvest time and Mr. Smith fell out of the tree and broke his leg, everybody harvested his crops.
	They didn't say, what's your religion?
	What's your political affiliation?
	It didn't matter.
	They took care of each other.
	And United States of America, united, that was the key.
	Divided is what we're becoming now.
	They're driving wedges between people on the basis of race, income, Age, gender, religion, political affiliation, you name it.
	Everybody's your enemy.
	The neighbor who's been there for 20 years all of a sudden is your enemy because he has a different yard sign.
	You know, we're allowing ourselves to be manipulated.
	And if you go and you look at the congressional record for January the 10th, 1963, read into the congressional record by one of the congressmen were the 45 goals of the communists for this country.
	And you see that they've accomplished a very large number of them.
	We think we won the Cold War.
	We did not win the Cold War.
	That's the reason that Khrushchev was so confident when he talked to Eisenhower that Eisenhower's grandchildren's children would live under communism.
	Right.
	But we're in a peculiar situation, Dr. Carson, that it wasn't Khrushchev, it wasn't Brezhnev, it wasn't Chernenko that achieved this.
	It's actually being implemented by Americans on U.S.
	soil.
	It wasn't the KGB, it wasn't the NKVD, it's the likes of Bernadine Dawn, Bill Ayers, BLM, Antifa.
	So let me ask you, if you...
	When you look at the drivers of this assault on our community, on our values, on concepts such as manhood, where is the center of gravity?
	Is it the education system?
	Is it the media?
	Is it the think tanks?
	Or is it because churches haven't stood up to this insanity?
	Where is the hub of this assault being generated out of?
	I think many of the people that you just mentioned are what are referred to by the Marxists as useful idiots.
	They don't understand that they're actually destroying their own selves.
	And they're just laser focused on one thing and they can't understand the implications of what they're doing.
	That's very unfortunate.
	But what's happened to our country?
	We've lost our central Stability, because we've thrown away our identity.
	Your history gives you your identity, and your identity gives you your belief system.
	That's why ISIS, when they come in and they conquer a place, what do they do?
	They get rid of the history.
	And then you have a blank slate, and you can impose upon them your own slate of history.
	That's what they're trying to do to our country.
	And we're falling for it, hook, line, and sinker.
	But I think a lot of the American people actually do have common sense.
	And what is lacking is courage.
	Courage is so vitally important.
	When Alexis de Tocqueville came here in 1831 and studied our whole system, at the end he said the thing that impressed him the most were the sermons that came out of the pulpits of America.
	that encouraged a bunch of ragtag militiamen to be able to defeat the most powerful military empire on earth.
	They gave the people a sense of morality, a sense of right and wrong.
	You know, it was that sense of right and wrong that I think inspired the abolitionists to do what they did to get rid of slavery in our country.
	And our country actually has an illustrious history.
	But there are those on the left who want to teach their children something else.
	Instead of looking at our whole history, the good, the bad, and the ugly, they handpick the ugly parts and try to build everything around that, when in fact, we have a glorious history.
	Have we been perfect?
	Absolutely not.
	Have we made some horrendous mistakes?
	We have.
	But have we learned from them?
	That's the important thing, and that's what leadership is all about.

	I think you had a single mother as your mother.
	So this is going to be a very interesting question.
	Who made you understand the values Of manhood, of what it means to be a responsible grown-up man.
	Was it the books?
	I think she was a literate, but she made sure that you were reading.
	Was it the examples in literature?
	Was it an uncle, a grandfather, a coach?
	Who influenced your understanding of what it means to be a man?
	Well, believe it or not, it was my mother.
	She got married at age 13.
	Years later discovered that my father was a bigamist.
	She had less than a third grade education.
	But she was a person who never made excuses for herself.
	And she never accepted excuses from us.
	And she was always pointing out people to my brother and myself.
	That's the kind of man that you want to be.
	That's not the kind of man that you want to be.
	That was every day we heard that.
	So was it people in your community?
	Was it people in the church?
	Who was she pointing at?
	I'm curious.
	There were people in the community, some who were actually decent people, and there are others who sort of sat on the curb with a paper bag.
	You know, drinking from it like that's supposed to like you're not supposed to know what it is.
	But otherwise, she would see people particularly at church or who own the business or maybe the doctor and would talk about some of the good things about them.
	And eventually it was watching the people in the homes that she taught her how to become successful.
	And she imposed that on us.
	And we didn't like it very much, to be honest with you.
	Was she a strict mother?
	Oh, very strict.
	You never got away with anything with her.
	But we loved my mother because we knew everything she was doing, she was doing for us.
	And her friends would criticize her and say that you can't make boys stay in the hospital, in the house reading books.
	They'll grow up and they'll hate you.
	But I think she got the last laugh because one son became a brain surgeon and the other became a rocket scientist.
	Literally, your brother is a rocket scientist?
	Yes, absolutely.
	Wow.
	And would you, if she didn't do it, would you put in words the characteristics of the men that she pointed out to you and said, that son, that's the kind of man you need to be?
	What kind of adjectives would describe those men?
	Kind.
	Very caring.
	Responsible.
	Making sure that they protected their families and provided for their family.

	Individuals who lambast this individual today, uh, Well, I think it's pretty easy to explain.
	him, who were fine to take the king's shilling and work for him, didn't resign in protest
	by what they thought of him then, and now seem to have problems with him.
	Would you talk to us about this phenomena in Washington, D.C., of we seem to have a
	lot of dishonorable men?
	Well, I think it's pretty easy to explain.
	If in fact you come out as anti-Trump, then you get kudos and you get praise.
	And if you come out as pro-Trump, the opposite occurs.
	So you have to have real conviction in order to do that.
	And it's sad, but that's the way it is.
	You know, the fact of the matter is, when you look at the accomplishments of that administration, they are mind-boggling, particularly compared to what's going on these days.
	And I think people just have to also recognize that if, in fact, we allow the left to do what they're trying to do, to take their political enemy and not only disempower him but actually punish him by putting him in jail, then we will have become something other than the kind of nation that we've been in the past.
	Yeah.
	Well, you are one of the few honorable men in Washington, D.C., and it is proven by the fact that you haven't sold yourself out for the adulation of the mainstream media and the deep state, and I want to salute you here on America First in front of millions of people for having done that.
	Would you talk to us about Whether the stranglehold of the Democrat Party on the black vote could be crumbling.
	And I don't mean because of simple explanations, because of the, you know, the booking photograph, the mugshot from Atlanta.
	But it does seem as if things are trending in the right direction.
	For 60, 70 years, the black community has voted almost exclusively Democrat.
	Do you think they're finally waking from that torpor and could be realizing that they actually
	have been on a plantation, but it was a Democrat-run political plantation?
	I believe there's significant awakening occurring, particularly among black males.
	And you know, they're seeing that the policies of the Democratic Party, quite frankly, are
	not conducive to success for them.
	And that's the good thing.
	But interestingly, during Trump's administration, there were a couple of times when we had hundreds, literally hundreds of young blacks at the White House, very enthusiastic about the president.
	Would the mainstream media show any of that?
	Of course not.
	What is it like to be, let me read what does it say, your Wikipedia entry calls you one of the most famous black conservatives.
	Here we go.
	Carson is one of the most prominent black conservatives in America.
	Is it hard to be a black conservative?
	Because I look at what they're doing to Justice Clance Thomas.
	Do you revel in the assaults or is it hard?
	No, it's not easy.
	There's no question about that.
	You know, for the left, the only thing worse than Satan is a black conservative.
	They just don't like that idea because you're not supposed to think for yourself.
	And you're certainly not supposed to dispel the myth about this being a systemically racist country.
	But, you know, as I was growing up as a kid, you know, we never bought into that stuff.
	You know, were there people who were racist?
	Of course there were.
	Are there people who are racist?
	Of course there are.
	Is Satan alive and well?
	Yes, he is.
	So, you know, I don't worry about that.
	It didn't impact my ability to achieve.
	And that's what people need to understand.
	And you also have to understand that there has been enormous change in this country.
	In my lifetime as a six-year-old, I remember going to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and seeing the Whites Only and Coloreds Only signs.
	In the same lifetime.
	What do you see now?
	Black admirals and generals and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and heads of foundations and university presidents.
	We've had a black president of the United States.

	To say that things haven't changed dramatically in a short period of time is ridiculous.
