One Of The Most Dangerous People On Earth
00:03:02
|
|
| Well, guys, we've been talking about the disastrous trade of the merchant of death for Brittany Griner, but I don't think people fully appreciate or understand just how bad and deadly Victor Boot is. | |
| Watch this clip, okay? | |
| This is from 60 Minutes, okay? | |
| Not exactly a conservative station. | |
| This isn't a right-wing conspiracy, like all the conspiracy theories they say that are out there that end up being true. | |
| This isn't one of them, okay? | |
| Watch what they say about this individual on 60 Minutes. | |
| He's, quote, one of the most dangerous people on Earth. | |
| So when asked why the lopsided trade, well, we got to bring back an America. | |
| It's like, well, you don't give back Someone who could kill tens of thousands, perhaps more, people if he gets back into his old line of work selling arms and missiles and AK-47s. | |
| I mean, the same administration that wants to talk about gun control and all of these things is a guy that they say in this, sold AK-47s to militant groups in the tens of thousands over and over again. | |
| So I don't want to hear the hypocrisy, okay? | |
| They thought they were going to get woke points, but it's not a fair trade. | |
| Of course we want to get Americans back, but you don't give your enemies people who will then weaponize their skill sets against Americans and innocents all over the world, because I can guarantee you, folks, that's what's going to happen. | |
| Watch and see for yourself. | |
| It ain't a right-wing conspiracy theory, folks. | |
| This is 60 Minutes. Terrorism charges. | |
| Tonight, those at the heart of Operation Relentless, a sting that spanned three continents, tell the story behind it for the first time. | |
| Victor Boot, in my eyes, is one of the most dangerous men on the face of the earth. | |
| On the face of the earth? | |
| Without a doubt. AK-47s. | |
| Not by the thousands, but by the tens of thousands. | |
| So he weaponizes civil war in Africa. | |
| He transformed these young adolescent warriors into insidious, mindless, maniacally driven killing machines that operated with assembly line efficiencies. | |
| ...indicted him on four terror-related charges, including conspiracy to kill Americans. | |
| What makes him a threat to the United States? | |
| He is a shadow facilitator. | |
| He's arming not only designated terrorist groups, insurgent groups, but he's also arming very powerful drug trafficking cartels around the globe. | |
| This is the lord of war, the merchant of death. | |
| And you've got him in your hands. | |
| Right, he's in custody. It's a great feeling. | |
| Why did Russia get such a better deal? | |
| Look, you know, I've talked about this, and I'll say this again. | |
|
Professional Athlete vs Arms Dealer
00:00:50
|
|
| Here were our choices. | |
| Our choices was Brittany or no one at all. | |
| Bringing home one American or no American at all. | |
| And they gave up a professional athlete. | |
| We gave up a prolific arms dealer who was convicted of trying to kill Americans who was called the merchant of death. | |
| The professional athlete is also an American citizen. | |
| So let's not forget that. | |
| And I've explained how the Russians have illegally treated, totally illegitimately treated his situation. | |
| I've been very clear on that. | |
| We've laid that out for you. | |
| And again, the President felt that this was an opportunity to bring Brittany home. | |
