Breaking the Silence on Hunter 00:11:02
Hey, everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
This is Andrew Colvett, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show, filling in for Charlie Kirk, who is out on assignment today.
He had a last-minute shuffle of schedules, and I filled in, but we had a great show already prepped and ready to go.
So I just did it.
You know, I'm going to tell him when he gets back.
I'm like, this isn't that hard, Charlie.
What's the big deal?
Kidding, of course.
Charlie is a generationally gifted communicator.
So thank you for joining us.
But here's the deal.
I lay out in this episode some really key facts.
I lay out the timeline involving the CNN tapes that is coming to light and why it's really, really telling about what Trump was probably shuffling around on his desk.
You're not going to want to miss that in the second part of this hour.
I also explain while there's some really, really good news that you're not going to want to miss.
The mainstream news media is breaking their cone of silence around Hunter Biden.
Why is that important?
What does it mean?
We explain it all right here in the Charlie Kirk show.
Buckle up.
Here we go.
Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
I want to thank Charlie.
He's an incredible guy.
His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
Turning point USA.
We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
That's why we are here.
Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
We've got some good news today.
And I know that it seems like we are filled in a media circus where they don't cover the truth.
They don't talk about what's real.
They leave out everything.
It is something they learned in 2016 after Trump became president and won that shock election.
They learned that if they simply don't cover things, that the regime media audience will not learn about it.
We knew this in 2020.
They proved their point in 2020 when the Hunter Biden laptop story was successfully censored from the American public.
We saw him polling after the fact that had the American people known about it, Donald Trump would be president today.
But they didn't know about it.
Not enough knew about it because the censorship worked.
Twitter, Facebook, the regime media, none of them covered it.
They called it Russian propaganda, Russian disinformation.
But in 2016, they covered Trump a lot.
And this is the essential dynamic I want you to think about as we start the show today.
And the good news: the media is covering the Hunter Biden finally.
And they're not just covering it in a way that dismisses it or pushes it aside.
They're covering it in a serious way where they're being honest with the viewer about how damning the facts are.
Now, thankfully for the American people, Hunter Biden is such a parasite and such a loathsome human that, frankly, there's not a lot that they can do to cover for this guy.
Now, you're seeing some people spin.
You're seeing some people say, well, this is a father's love and this is why he's going to Camp David and going to these state dinners with Prime Minister Modi.
Yeah, that is because I've got a theory on that.
But let me just put that aside for one second.
I'll tell you why I think Joe Biden is keeping his son close.
But the Hunter Biden story is not going away.
And this is important because again, think back to 2016.
Media covered Trump.
He won.
2020, the media refused to cover the most important stories surrounding Trump and he didn't win.
Now there's a lot of shenanigans that went into that.
Even despite the shenanigans, we can safely say, based on polling, that Trump would have won.
So let's just think about this.
The spell against Hunter Biden is not holding.
Okay, the spell of silence.
It is breaking before your very eyes.
Last night, CBS decided to interview the IRS whistleblower at the center of so many of these allegations that are so damning.
That is Gary Shapley, and it was called Operation Sportsman.
Now, he's coming up and saying very publicly, and he's not a quack, that the IRS was blocked from doing their investigation into Hunter and most importantly, blocked from doing their investigation into Joe Biden.
This is their opening line from CBS.
This is important.
Now, none of this stuff is news to you or I. We've been on the case from the jump, but guess what?
We were in a silo.
The people that still consume CBS and ABC and NBC and CNN and MSNBC are Legion.
Now, we are a growing share of the media universe, but there is still a massive group of people that consume their media like robots from the regime media, the legacy media.
This is their opening line.
The IRS supervisory agent who helped oversee the investigation of Hunter Biden continues to raise questions about what he alleged was special treatment in the probe of the president's son, telling CBS News that dating back to the Trump administration, he was repeatedly prevented from taking steps he would have considered routine, routine.
In other cases, we're not talking about special just because, you know, this might be a political case or this might involve the vice president's son.
No, this was he was all he was asking for was routine investigatory steps.
Think about that.
Like, I know we are very cynical.
We are very cynical and rightly so about the regime media.
I do this for a living, by the way, just for those of you who don't know, my background is in PR and communications.
I've made a career out of interacting with the media and the press.
I know what they are like intimately.
And I know when I'm working with a good reporter and I'm working with a hack, this is a big deal.
It was just a factual summary of what Shapley was saying.
It doesn't say without evidence or falsely claims or people have, you know, tried to cast aspersions against this person.
No, they just told the facts.
I'm going to play some of these clips for you, but CBS brings up several key pieces of evidence that we've known for a while.
Again, but the consumers of regime media have been clueless about.
CBS even spoke to two former Biden associates who both told them, get this, 10% for the big guy in an email about getting equity in a Chinese energy company.
They confirmed that that was Hunter holding 10% equity on behalf of his father.
CBS just said 10% for the big guy.
The meme, the thing that we've tweeted about, the thing that we've alleged was just confirmed by two independent sources, and CBS corroborated that.
So it's not just CBS either.
And this is important.
The New York Times is also covering it.
Now, one of the key pieces of information that you all need to understand is this figure in the investigation is David Weiss.
Weiss was in charge of this Hunter investigation.
And we are getting conflicting accounts.
This is something that we have highlighted on this show.
We've talked about it with some of our guests.
We're going to do that again today.
We've got Mike Davis from the Article III project.
We've got Kash Patel.
So we're going to talk about this issue with them as well.
But this is an interesting thing.
The New York Times is doing a published story covering the Hunter Biden investigation.
Competing accounts of Justice Department's handling of Hunter Biden's case.
That's a headline.
Competing accounts of the Justice Department's handling of the Hunter Biden case.
You have to understand that these are big developments in this.
The cone of silence is breaking.
The cone of silence is breaking.
So all of this started.
We have to give kudos to this man, Chuck Grassley.
He started this investigation.
He did it diligently.
He did it right.
He didn't overstep.
He played his cards wisely.
And all of this information is beginning to leak out.
And now the regime media is covering.
Now, this figure, Weiss, is very interesting.
So Weiss is saying that Garland, Merrick Garland, Attorney General Merrick Garland, did not get in the way of his investigation.
But we are hearing from Gary Shapley that Weiss, or lead prosecutors for him, continually hamstrung his investigation into taxes involving Hunter Biden and Joe Biden.
According to Shapley, Weiss was rebuffed by prosecutors in California, New York about exploring charges in either state, and he was shut down.
He was denied special prosecutor status.
Wouldn't that be nice to have a special prosecutor looking into this?
And he supposedly told Shapley he would not be the deciding official on bringing tougher charges against Hunter.
So Weiss told Shapley that he wasn't going to be the deciding factor.
But Weiss is also saying that Merrick Garland didn't get in the way of the investigation.
And Merrick Garland is saying that he didn't interfere in the investigation.
So something is not lining up.
Now, one key piece of information that you need to know is that Weiss has this veneer of impartiality, of nonpartisanship, so much so that the Democrats in Delaware backed him as the selection for this investigation.
Telling, very telling that Democrats like Weiss.
We're going to try and get to the bottom of it.
Have you heard about this?
The USDA revealed that countless crops planted last season won't be harvested this season.

I want you to take a pause, everybody.
Take a pause.
We are so negative in the conservative movement.
We are.
We are.
I'm guilty of it.
I'm sure you guys are guilty of it too.
This is big.
Now, it's not bluster.
We're not saying that, you know, we're going to get everything that we wish for here, but we are saying that there is movement and it's real movement.
Now, we can speculate about the reasons why, but the regime media is breaking its cone of silence around Hunter Biden.
And that is huge.
And the way they're doing it is specifically important.
They're not saying it with all their usual caveats of unproven, unfounded.
They're not covering.
They're just telling the story.
CBS did a great job of this yesterday.
And I want to play some of this tape because I think it's shocking.
But here's another story that is actually that has come out.
Hunter Biden isn't hiding.
Even some Democrats are uncomfortable from the New York Times.
Hunter Biden isn't hiding.
Even some Democrats are uncomfortable.
So he's at a state dinner with Prime Minister Modi from India.
Then he flies to Camp David.
Some are speculating that he's even living at the White House because the visitor logs are not reporting his whereabouts like they should be or like you would expect them to be.
And so some people think he's maybe even living there.
Why?
Why, why, why?
What's happening?
Well, let's play Jensaki here for you and get her take on it.
Cut 58.
I think Hunt, you know, what we saw with Hunter appearing at the state dinner was, in my suspicion, was the president, his son wanted to come, so his son's going to come to the dinner.
Was that optically easier for the White House and the White House communications team?
Absolutely not.
But I suspect that was more in the family circumstance of him wanting to come and wanting to just, the president wanting to show that he loves his son and he's standing by him.
Oh, so two things in that clip.
Jensaki admits that optically it's not good for the White House.
That's a tacit acknowledgement from the former White House press secretary that things aren't good in Hunterville.
So then the second thing she says is that it's just about a father's love.
Is that really what it is?
I think Anna Navarro might agree.
Play Cut 15.
The Hunter Biden story, the scandal, the this, the that, it's also the story of a father's love.
And Joe Biden has never and will never give up on his son, son Hunter, and will never treat him lesser than.
And so he is a father first.
Take it or leave it.
Oh, thank you.
The cackling gallery at the View.
It's just about a father's love.
It's just about a father's love.
That's why they're keeping Hunter so close in his time of need.
Or is it about something else?
Is it perhaps more mafioso than that?
Maybe, just maybe, Joe Biden realizes just how fragile his crack addled son really is and how much the walls are closing in on Hunter Biden.
We have IRS whistleblowers.
We have allegations of phone calls and recordings involving Ukraine that suggest that they got $10 million in bribes.
Joe Biden's denying it, of course.
Play cut 38.
How involved were you in your Chinese shakedown text message?
Were you sitting there?
Were you involved?
Were you involved in IOL?
Were you?
No.
Ooh.
That, of course, is revolving around that famous, infamous now text message where Hunter is shaking down a Chinese oligarch, business associate, saying, my father's sitting right next to me.
Well, there you go.
You have video proof of Joe Biden once again denying such allegations.
They turn out to be true.
That clip will obviously come in some handy.
So is it more basic than that?
Is Joe Biden just keeping Hunter close to him so that he doesn't spill the beans and he doesn't plead, go for a plea deal of some sort?
That he doesn't admit that, yeah, actually, we're corrupt as hell and Joe Biden was in on it.
If I was Joe Biden right now and I knew the dirt that my son Hunter had on me, you're darn right.
I would keep him as close to me as humanly possible.
Like I said, some people are even saying he's living at the White House.
Let's play Cut 40.
Shapley, who is still working for the IRS, told us that even before President Biden took office, he was directed to avoid leads involving Hunter's father.
There were certain investigative steps we weren't allowed to take that could have led us to President Biden.
And you wanted to take them.
We needed to take them, and you weren't allowed to take them.
That's correct.
Ah, the plot thickens.
Joe Biden's been covered up.

The Trump Tape Timeline Deep Dive 00:14:04
Let's get to, again, the fact that the media is finally covering the Hunter Biden scandal.
And I want to just say hats off to GOP leadership in this instance.
I know, again, we get so frustrated with these people.
We think they betray us.
They fall short of so many expectations, especially this divide, this chasm that we talk about all the time with the conservative base versus our conservative leadership in D.C. That's why Turning Point Action and some other partners in that are working to actually build, rebuild the party from the ground up, getting committee men and women that actually represent the values and beliefs of the grassroots voter.
But in this instance, we've made progress.
There's no doubt that Paul Ryan and Boehner and all of these people would have never attacked with this much vigor these investigations into Hunter Biden.
So remember, I was actually guest hosting the day that the forensic accounting happened.
And James Comer from House Oversight came on the news and said, Hey, don't charge Hunter with these tax and this gun crimes until you hear what we have to say.
And what he did is, and the House Oversight was brilliant in this, they uncovered a network of many, many different bank accounts through which the Bidens were getting money from overseas dealings.
In those case, in those instances, that was specifically with China.
Everybody said, Ah, it's not a bombshell.
I'm not really big on it because, like, we already knew this.
Well, again, certain people didn't know this, certain outlets weren't covering this.
But what they did is they actually did the work to lay the groundwork and the foundation for what you're now seeing.
Because now we're able to uncover this piece of the puzzle.
We're able to uncover that piece of the puzzle.
And as the news tightens, as the walls do actually close in on Hunter Biden, now the regime media is having to cover it.
Now, this creates an important contrast for everybody to be really well aware of.
I'm going to start with Cut 39.
Again, this is IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, again, the lead investigator in the Hunter Biden case, said that if this was any other person not named Hunter Biden, that this person would have already served their sentence.
Play Cut 39.
If this was any other person, they likely would have already served their sentence.
Gary Shapley was a lead IRS supervisory agent in Operation Sportsman, the investigation into Hunter Biden.
Shapley said he uncovered conduct that warranted more serious charges.
There were personal expenses that were taken as business expenses: prostitutes, sex club memberships, hotel rooms for purported drug dealers.
How much did Hunter Biden owe in taxes?
So from 2014 and 2019, it was $2.2 million.
What can you say?
Good old Hunter Biden dropping $2.2 million in unpaid taxes, all to pay for sex clubs.
I guess I'm naive.
I didn't even know this was a thing, really.
I mean, I guess I would have assumed it was a thing, but apparently you can pay for membership like a country club and join a sex club.
Prostitutes, he wrote off prostitute.
This guy is a grade A dirtbag.
Like, there's just no getting around it.
And yet, this is the guy that Joe Biden says is the smartest man he knows.
I guess he was just really impressed with his ability to launder money and to build out a network of foreign bank accounts through which you could hide income from oligarchs overseas.
I mean, that is actually impressive.
They actually, and remind you, this comes to mind: the Burisma executive said that he thought it would take a decade to uncover this trail of money that was flowing into the Biden's coffers.
And again, remember, the IRS is now confirmed.
Two independent sources, four CBS is confirmed that this 10% was actually held out for the big guy.
All right.
So we know Joe Biden's corrupt.
We know that Joe Biden was on the take.
We know that Hunter was his badman.
We know all of this stuff.
Now it's just a matter of laying the trap, setting the pieces in place.
And this is why it's so critical.
We had Jim Jordan on the show on Monday.
Jim Jordan said that impeachment is very much on the table of Joe Biden, not just Merrick Garland, not just my Orkas, not just Ray.
This implicates a lot of people, but it does implicate Joe Biden.
Now, the question is obviously: will the Senate act?
We don't know.
Does it matter, though?
Don't we have to draw a line in the sand and make sure that the historical record states very clearly that Joe Biden did X, he did Y, he did Z, and he will stand trial for his crimes.
Now, let's contrast that to the case that they built via Jack Smith and the DOJ Against President Trump.
And I have some insight here that I think you guys are going to find really interesting.
We're doing some deep dive last night, and I found it to be incredibly important about the timeline, why the timeline matters when we think about this Trump tape that was supposed to be so damning.
Now, Jack Smith is a guy that went after the then Republican governor of Virginia and got overturned eight to zero.
There was one abstaining judge on the Supreme Court.
But he has a record of expanding the legal precedence, expanding the reading of laws.
As Charlie always likes to say, you show me the man, I'll show you the crime.
Where there is many laws, there is less justice.
They're digging up a 1917 espionage act to entrap Trump.
Consider the difference of the way that the DOJ has handled the Hunter case with Kid Gloves' sweetheart deal and the way that they're approaching the Trump case, which they are expanding every possible dot cross of the T of every law to expand it to its max to get Trump.
But here's what's very interesting.
We've spent the last week basically talking about this CNN Trump tape where he was on, he was recorded with some ghostwriters of Mark Meadows' book, the publishers talking about this Iran situation.
Well, well, well, well, CBS strikes again.
It turns out that that document, underlying document that they are discussing in that scene that played out on the Trump tape is not even part of Jack Smith's investigation or charges brought against Trump.
That's right.
Did you hear me?
The document involved in that tape is not even part of the charges brought against Donald Trump.
Let's go ahead and play cut 37.
CBS strikes again.
I think that the special counsel will be able to use this recording very effectively before a jury because he can argue that they've captured on tape the defendant narrating his own alleged criminal activity.
And CBS News has learned that Trump has not been charged for keeping the document he's talking about on that tape.
Special Counsel Jack Smith's office declined to answer our questions about the Iran memo or the audio tape.
That last part, right?
So it's still the regime narrative that you heard there at the beginning of that clip.
Well, I think the prosecution is going to be able to use this recording very effectively.
Right at the end, Catherine Harridge, CBS, formerly of Fox News, says, actually, it's not involved in the prosecution of President Trump.
So what was the point of leaking that tape?
Very simple.
Character assassination.
That was a deliberate leak to paint a narrative of President Trump as saying, and playing fast and loose with confidential documents.
But there's so much more to the story.
I'm going to lay out the timeline, but I just want to, and the timeline is very important.
I think you're going to catch this, and it's very telling.
But again, think about this.
The Hunter Biden case is a case that requires people to not do their basic job.
The Trump case is taking an old law and expanding it in a way that's never been used before.
Hunter, just do the basics.
You get him.
He would have served a sentence already.
Trump, we have to do this novel thing, get a president.
But let's play this out.
July 15th, 2021, July 15th, 2021.
This is very important.
The New Yorker publishes an article suggesting that it was Millie who stopped Trump from attacking Iran.
This infuriated President Trump.
See, there you go.
Go.
You're going to have an effing war, Mark Milley's fight to stop Trump from striking Iran.
Now, Jake Tapper tweeted this article out at the time.
And basically, you know, Millie's trying to paint himself as this hero that staved off war.
Well, Trump's recounting of events was much different than that.
Now, that was July 15th, July 15th, very important date because the recording that CNN was leaked to CNN of Trump in that meeting at Bedminster happened on July 21st.
That's six days after this Milley article was published in the New Yorker.
So, and that's according to the indictment, Jack Smith's indictment.
So, he references the date, July 21st, six days after.
Now, here's another piece.
Remember, they're having a meeting with Mark Meadows, Ghostwriters publisher, about this article.
So, Trump has said, hey, it wasn't about anything else.
It was about this bunch of papers and articles.
I didn't have to declassify anything per se.
So, what was he saying was very private, it was very secretive, it's highly confidential as they laugh, as he's joking.
Why would he be talking about that with Mark Meadows people?
In the Chief's Chief, the book that they ended up writing on behalf of Mark Meadows, it recounts the New Yorker article.
So, that Millie article about Iran was recounted in the Chief's Chief, the book by Mark Meadows, that they were discussing, that Trump was willing to be interviewed about in that meeting.
And in the Chief's Chief, next to the New Yorker article, they reference a four-page written report by Meadows himself when he was chief of staff, outlining how it was actually Millie who published, who pushed for an attack on Iran, which included large numbers, a large number of ground troops.
So, again, Trump says, I didn't have a document per se.
There was nothing to declassify.
These were newspaper stories, magazine stories, and articles.
So, does it not follow the timeline?
That's actually what Trump was holding about, that New Yorker article.
I want to lay out the details here because I think it gets lost so easily.
And the details are very important.
So, again, the timeline is incredibly important.
July 15th, the New Yorker article comes out.
Six days later, that recording from Bedminster happens.
Six days.
So, of course, it's top of Trump's mind, and Trump's upset.
Trump is known and took it very seriously, loved the accolades, by the way, that he was the only president in a long string of them that didn't start a new war.
As a fact, he ended them and got us out of them.
And meanwhile, you have Millie, TV general, lying about him, the guy who called China and went around his authority at the end of his presidency, saying, I'll let you know if we are planning an attack.
Like, what?
White rage, Millie, and Trump's upset about it.
So, he's talking about it with the people that are going to write and ghostwrite Mark Meadows' book.
Now, ghost writing, if you're not familiar, is where you have the principal.
In this case, it would be Mark Meadows.
Mark Meadows would sort of outline and discuss the way he wants his book to be.
He would give them documents, materials, and a ghostwriter puts it all together and writes it.
Now, is it my favorite practice in the world?
No, it happens a lot.
Okay.
A lot of people have a lot of really important things to say.
They're terrible writers.
So, they work with ghostwriters.
It's also obviously easier for them.
Now, that's why this meeting was happening.
They actually got a meeting with President Trump to discuss some of these things.
Now, again, this is a critically important piece.
Now, The Chief's Chief by Mark Meadows, this is part of it.
The president recalls a four-page report.
This is them writing in the book, typed up by Mark Milley himself.
It contains the general's own plan to attack Iran, deploying massive numbers of troops, something he urged President Trump to do more than once during his presidency.
President Trump denied those requests every time.
In the months since he's been out of the White House, President Trump has grown much calmer, less concerned about the routine matters and petty squabbles of politics.
So, this scene that you heard on the tapes is actually reflected in the book that was under discussion.
So, when Trump's pushing those documents around, it makes sense that this is actually what they're talking about, hence, why nothing needed to be declassified per se, according to Trump.
That timeline is very important.
And the fact that the DOJ is now admitting that this document is not part of the case brought against Trump, and the fact that they are now using very extraordinary means to prosecute Trump, all of this becomes very clear.
That when Trump says election interference, it's not a far cry from the truth.
It's probably the truth.
It's character assassination, selective leaking, all to paint a picture of a criminal in Donald Trump.
DOJ Admits Selective Prosecution Tactics 00:00:19
The DOJ is just simply doing the people's bidding.
It's far from the truth.
