Pop Culture Primer 00:03:07
Welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
This is a very special pop culture episode.
We talk Chris Pratt, we talk Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, we talk the Oscars going even more woke.
You're not going to want to miss it.
We have a lot of fun here.
I'm just going to let me say this.
If you find yourself over a certain age and a little out of touch with pop culture, I want to say, listen in.
This is going to be like a little primer.
It's going to catch you up.
It's important that we know what's going on in our culture.
It's important that we know what's going on beyond the realm of politics.
And from time to time, we like to do that here at the Charlie Kirk Show so that you know what's going on, so you know what to talk about with your kids.
If you're young, if you're one of our younger audience, you're going to really love this.
We have some fun, lively debate back and forth, lots of laughs.
We welcome Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast and a Turning Point USA contributor, as well as Joe Bob, the man who only needs one name, who is a funny, funny guy and pop culture expert, also a Turning Point USA contributor.
We go through all the different stories that are current right now.
Buckle up.
Here we go.
Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
I want to thank Charlie.
He's an incredible guy.
His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
Turning point USA.
We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
That's why we are here.
Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
Hello, everybody.
Welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show.
This is Andrew Colvett, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show, joined by none other than Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast, and Joe Bob, the TPUSA contributor that only has one name.
One grandparent was Joe, the other one was Bob.
That's all you need to know for that.
It is a weird name, but you know, it is easier.
It's easier.
So nobody has to pronounce the last name.
Well, that's true.
Yeah, but it's confusing on multiple levels, which we can discuss at another time.
But I just want, okay, let me set the stage for our audience because they're probably like, what the heck is going on?
We went from like, you know, Joe Biden, indictment, Title 42, women's sports, and now we got Alex Clark and Joe Bob.
We're talking about culture, pop culture.
Pop culture.
Yeah, this is a pop culture hour.
If you are anything like myself, and certainly like Charlie, I'm bad, but Charlie is like really bad at pop culture.
If you're anything like us, then this is why we have Alex and Joe Bob because we're going to talk all about pop culture.
And, you know, listen, you can, you can, you know, say pop culture doesn't matter.
You can thumb your nose at it.
You can, you can do all those sorts of things, which conservatives are very guilty of doing.
Let's be honest.
We don't, we like to sort of, you know, act like we're above it.
Well, listen, here's the thing: one of our missions on this show and at Turning Point USA is to reach young people.
Coronation Media Disconnect 00:07:36
And guess what they're consuming?
Pop culture.
So you've got to be, you've got to be educated on this stuff.
So we're just going to have fun for this hour.
We're going to talk about all these different stories.
And by the way, you definitely need to subscribe to Alex Clark's, Alex Clark's, did I say that?
Podcast, The Spillover.
And Joe Bob, where can people find you?
The internet.
Just type in J-O-B-O-B, you'll be able to find me.
But I heard from the producers as a part of reaching that younger audience.
If there are enough texts and emails, you will do a TikTok dance.
Did I hear that correct?
No, producer Andrew.
I don't want the Chinese being able to see my dance moves.
Those are confidential.
That could cause a national crisis.
You should still text me.
Taiwan will get invaded immediately after if I do a TikTok dance watch.
All right.
So, okay.
There are a lot of topics that I want to cover here.
And it was funny, when we were in the break, we were talking about what we were going to start with first.
And there's a ton of options on the table.
And of course, Alex Clark said, I don't want to talk about the Queen's Coronation or the King's Coronation because I don't know anything about the British stuff.
And so I immediately thought, then we're starting with the coronation.
Of course.
So, Joe Bob, why don't you fill us in?
So King Charles is now King Charles, right?
He's been crowned.
That's what a coronation is.
He was the king already.
And I think this is interesting too, because my wife and I were just in London for like a week, like two weeks ago, and everybody was prepped with the coronation.
Oh, the coronation is happening May 6th.
And isn't the coronation going to be so grand?
It was funny.
All of our tour guides in London were saying, well, the king will walk down this road and the king will do this.
And I couldn't help but think the entire time, and maybe this just makes me a patriot American, who cares?
I do not understand why anybody cares so much about the king of a foreign country and this whole idea of running society as a democracy, the idea of a monarch and king.
I don't get it.
Well, I mean, that part of it is really not the controversial part.
I mean, you and I had a disagreement in the break.
I think there's a place for the royals and the monarchy as an institution in England.
I think it's good when a country holds up these institutions that have history and tradition built into them that the people know and love and look up to.
The queen was the great.
There's a lot of people in this audience that think the queen was this globalist shill and she was actually working with the Rockefellers and all this stuff.
I don't know anything about that.
All I'm saying, all I'm saying is that she comported herself with dignity, respect.
She honored the church and the Church of England, the tradition that was handed down to her.
She was a steward of, she looked at her family as something to be protected from the British tabloid press.
Now, Joe Bob comes at it from a different angle.
You don't like it, do you very much?
No.
You know why?
Because I'm an American.
Okay, but here's what I don't understand.
You're king of England.
And I feel like there's a piece that I'm missing here.
It seems to me like the English aren't that excited about this coronation and stuff either.
Is that because they all hold a grudge against him for cheating on Princess Diana forever ago?
Or what's the problem?
I think that, well, Joe Bob, what's your take?
You're the one.
I don't know if I call myself an expert or anything.
Well, when I was there, everybody was excited about it.
That was the interesting thing, too, because I kind of thought, like, okay, you go through the motions, you know, whatever.
But then they were showing us like this many people are going to be out front of Buckingham Palace.
This many people are going to be lining the streets.
And I thought, really?
Like, that many people still care?
Okay, but I think to your point, there could be a disconnect between what you're seeing in the media and some of the tabloid press versus your run-of-the-mill average British citizen, right?
I want to play.
And there's all this other intrigue because Harry and Megan are on the outs.
I heard that Megan showed up in disguise.
Did you see that?
No.
How did you hear this?
Yeah, I mean, the pictures were all over Twitter.
It was by far the best part.
Hold on, no, hold on.
The best part is 66.
Put this image up on the screen and put it on the stream.
This is a picture of Harry.
He didn't get in the front row and he's sort of persona non grata.
He's in the back row and at a second row, if you will.
And there is this aunt of his that was Princess Anne.
Yeah, was it Princess?
I forget what her name is.
Princess Anne.
Princess Anne.
So she's riding around on a horse.
She's getting all these, she's getting all this free pub, you know, older lady riding on the horse looking strong.
And then she wears this crazy hat that blocks Harry's face.
Was that on purpose?
I would presume.
Was it?
Oh my gosh.
I mean, maybe it was a happy accident, but you got to believe somebody.
I mean, everything is so scripted with the British.
Oh, but that was definitely on purpose.
Nobody else is wearing, I mean, they're all, a lot of them are wearing ridiculous hats, but nobody's wearing one that would blatantly block out the person behind them.
I mean, he really burns some bridges.
So there's another, another sort of behind-the-scenes story, right?
That his father, Harry's father, the king, gave away, was it Frogmore?
Put the name of the estate in the chat.
It was something frog.
It was an estate that was the last piece of property that he had control of because of his royal bloodline, right?
King Charles gives it to Prince Andrew.
So now Prince Andrew, and he's the one on the outside.
They deny it.
Frogmore Cottage is what it's called.
Frogmore Cottage.
So they give this last remaining estate that Megan and Harry could use when they went to the UK.
They give it to Prince Andrew.
I don't know where he is.
So essentially, you're saying that was on purpose, like a big F you to Harry.
I think the whole thing.
Like, we're going to pick the pedophile over you.
Yes.
I think the whole thing is like, I think it was a message from King Charles saying, you have disgraced this family, young sir.
You have literally, you wrote a book calling yourself the spare.
You make me look like a big jerk while I'm trying to take over the reins from the queen that everybody loved who's been serving since, you know, I was, what was it, 60, 70?
How I don't know.
70 years.
Yeah.
I think it said it is a terrible look on Harry.
I don't think he should have showed up at all.
The way that he has trashed that entire institution, that entire family, the fact that he had the gall to show up, I thought that was so disrespectful.
Like he shouldn't have come.
It's still his dad, allegedly.
All right, hold on.
Hold on.
We have this image that you talked about of her going in disguise.
I don't think this is all true.
This is 100%.
I apologize because you can't see it.
There is somebody, there is a mysterious person that showed up to the coronation that nobody knows who they are.
They cannot identify them, but clearly they are in fake glasses, a fake mustache, and a fake wig.
And people are saying it's Megan Markle.
It's a spinning image, so you don't need to see it on the radio.
It's a spinning image of the.
The guy's wearing a blonde wig with a big old, what is that, a Fu Manchu?
Like, what do you call that?
And like 70s creeper glasses.
Clearly, this is a disguise.
So who is in disclosure?
No, look at the chin.
The chin doesn't.
So here's the question.
If Megan Markle were in disguise, how would she do it any different than that photo?
I don't think she could.
I just don't think she could do it, right?
I mean, maybe she would.
Maybe she's, you know, a woman scorned, as they say.
I mean, maybe this is like MI6, like helping her out, like on the DL, or maybe it's just a bad, like, Hollywood prosthetics, like, shop that's like, don't worry, girl, we got you.
But no one has been able to say or identify who this person is.
Mysterious Coronation Figure 00:04:32
All right.
If you got, if you, you in the audience, if you think you know the answer to this, freedom at charliekirk.com, I want to hear your response.
Do you think that picture is Megan Markle?
Like, is there a chance?
I don't know.
Do you, and by the way, here's the other real more serious question.
Do you think that there is a place for the British monarchy in today's day and age, or do you think it's a vestige of years past and it should be wiped from the face of the aisle?
Well, I just wanted people to stop pretending it's important.
It's a bunch of adults that act like it's important.
Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast, which, by the way, is doing tremendous.
Everybody around the office just like bigs up on your podcast all the time.
You get some great guests.
Why don't you tell us a little bit about it?
Just on the spot.
I've had everybody from someone that grew up, their family business was doing exorcisms with their dad.
They performed over 200 in their living room.
So that's fun.
That's different.
And experts, different child psychologists and different things.
Every week essentially is a different interview with somebody that either has an incredible life story or incredible expertise on something.
And it's one a week?
One a week, every Friday.
So, subscribe anywhere you get your podcast to the spillover and the Charlie Kirk show.
Both of those should be your top subscribed shows.
I agree.
But, Charlie Kirk show, first spillover, second.
Close.
It's like one A, one B. Joe Bob, tell people where to find you and what you do.
I mean, you are Charlie's dance instructor.
Yeah, that is it.
I do all of if you've seen Charlie Kirk dance ever, I have done the choreography for that.
Obviously, that is zero times.
But I don't know.
I don't know what to tell people what I did.
You're a turning point contributor, contributor, comedian.
If I deduce it down, I think I'm a professional smart Alec.
I think that's my actual job.
Thank you for using the nice.
Yeah, I kind of figured, you know, Joe Bob doesn't do himself any justice here.
He's a former boy bander.
Yeah, Joe Bob opens for Charlie when he does his campus tour.
Joe Bob was, if you heard the oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's what it was.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Actually, when Charlie got Antifa came after him at UC Davis, you were filming right there close to the glass getting broke by Antifa saying, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I turned into an Antifa riot.
I'm the comedian that goes on.
When I would open for Charlie, I would pull up a random person from the audience and I would do this terribly death-defying stunt.
I would guess their gender.
I know.
It was amazing.
And it actually was 100%.
But, anyways, I found myself in the middle of a riot on accident and glass getting shattered in my face.
Well, you know what's funny about that?
I think, I don't know if I sent you the clip, but you did.
With Greg Gutfeld played it.
Greg Gutfeld plays the clip of the glass getting broke at UC Davis for his show, Gutfeld.
And then he gets done with it and he's looking at the camera and goes, that's a lot of woes.
Why is that such a perfect impression of him, though?
I have no recollection of those woes.
Well, it was a scary one.
I mean, who knows what they were going to do next?
Were they going to bash the windows in and then break through?
I mean, I'm surprised you stayed there as long as you were.
Well, this is why I don't go to these because I would literally poop my pants.
Like, I would have been so scared if I was standing there and using the radio friendly.
I would be so scared if I was standing there and all of a sudden the door is shattering, glass breaks, and Antifa storming in.
Like, I could not do that.
Well, and also, you know, big shout out to all of the security.
The SWAT team came in and like, really just my mom is listening also, and she's very concerned about these sorts of things.
We are very well protected, but in that particular instance, I was a little bit too close.
Well, you know what?
I want to say one thing to the folks at UC Davis because I get to see some of the behind-the-scenes chatter.
We haven't forgot what you did, and we are still very much looking at our options.
So stay tuned for that.
Is that the right way to get it?
If anybody knows what happened, the chancellor at UC Davis, the guy gets paid $800,000 a year to be a mediocre hack.
He came out the day of the event with a sanctioned university video that they produced in-house at the university and said that Charlie had advocated for harm against trans people.
He was parroting a talking point from the Sacramento B that was parroting a trans activist and serial hoaxer, Aaron, what is it, Aaron in the morning, who is a trans person that lies about conservatives for a living on the internet and said Charlie wanted to lynch trans people in an interview with Riley Gaines, who we just had on.
Well, so and then the Sacramento B was forced to retract that.
But for some reason, the chancellor of UC Davis has not.
Trans Activist Hoax 00:12:15
I actually tweet him like once a week.
Say, hey, waiting for the apology.
And again, UC Davis, we know where to find you, and so do our attorneys.
That's all I'm going to say.
I want to talk about relief factor.com.

Chris Pratt is undeniably talented.
So is Morgan Wallen.
Now, Morgan Wallen is a country star.
We were talking about this in the break.
Both are what you would call in modern parlance, cis white male Christians.
And they just, people love to hate on these two, but they are incredibly successful.
I don't think Alex likes either of them.
No, I do.
You were looking at me like you didn't like them.
No, I like them.
I just did.
I'm just waiting to see what you're going to bring up about them.
But yeah, Chris Pratt's in the news right now because of talking about more Christianity stuff.
His faith.
His faith.
And then Morgan Wallen's in the news because he just announced a few minutes ago that he was canceling the next six weeks of shows.
Which is a massive deal.
I mean, if you think the Taylor Swift tour is a big deal, well, Taylor Swift didn't have 15 of the top, actually was the top 15 on the top 100 charts.
All top 15 were Morgan Wallen songs.
What did Taylor Swift have?
You can tell me on the other side of the break.
I'm sure it was very impressive.
But anyways, I will say, so I started this by saying that cis white Christian men are getting hated on.
Chris Pratt's taking all kinds of incoming because of his faith.
He's saying people are recasting him in Hollywood.
Then we started talking about Morgan Wallen.
I made the off-hated comment that Morgan Wallen had the top 15 of the 100 songs on the charts when his new album released, which had like 15.
Yes, she had the whole top 10.
She also, her and Morgan Wallen both have taken up, had the longest running album in the top 10 of Billboard 200.
She is equal but different.
She had to take albums.
She also had 10 full albums charting on the Billboard top 10s last week.
Are they dating or something?
No.
We're just coming here.
Apparently, it's like Morgan v. V. Taylor.
Now, okay.
So Morgan, Morgan is a guy that, okay, so he just canceled all of his shows.
I can play this clip for everybody because people are getting real fired up about it.
He has a vocal condition that he has injured his vocal cords.
Now, this became the source of some controversy because he was spotted partying with LSU swimmer and influencers gymnastics.
Influencer Livvy Dunn, who has like 10 million followers on Instagram.
I know, I just saw from the article I read.
It was like 10 on Instagram.
Morgan has a type.
Morgan has a type.
Okay, let's play Cut 68.
This is Morgan's excuse for not being able to perform his tour for the next six weeks.
Wait.
I got some bad news for my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday.
After taking 10 days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida.
And by the third morning, I felt terrible.
So I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I re-injured my vocal cords and that I have vocal fold trauma.
Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks.
So that's what I'm going to do.
We're working on rescheduling all the dates during this time frame.
We've almost got that done, but some of them are pending, so I'll keep you updated.
I won't be able to make these festivals that I have during this time frame, but we are going to make those right.
Wait a minute.
Okay.
So you told me that he's going on vocal rest and therefore is taking six weeks off.
And then there was a video, and I kind of assumed that it would be like type text.
But if you're on vocal rest, you shouldn't be talking as a person who has had to go on vocal rest.
You shouldn't be talking.
He says in the full-length video, he says they even advised me not to talk.
Yeah, I told him I was going to come and I was going to at least say this.
Okay.
Let me say something unpopular about Morgan Wallen.
Okay, I think he's unbelievably talented, hot as hell.
I love his music, all of that.
That's how you really feel.
Here's the thing: I feel uncomfortable right now.
Morgan Wallen, Morgan Wallen has repeatedly shown us how unprofessional he is.
He is very irresponsible.
He does not take care of his voice.
He knows that he's on tour right now.
So why is he going out and partying?
And we know by reports, the one show that he had that was canceled.
The one in Alabama or was that Mississippi?
I don't know.
But just a few days ago, he had to cancel the show also.
And by the way, they knew he wasn't in the building a full hour before people started showing up.
They still let fans show up just to tell them, hey, he's not coming on tonight, Senthamora Home.
So he goes out, he parties, he drinks.
He does it.
He's not taking care of his voice while he's on this tour.
And so a lot of this, I feel like, can be blamed on him.
But he's a rock star.
Yeah.
I feel bad for him.
I mean, you're supposed to, aren't you supposed to sort of like destroy hotel rooms and all this stuff?
I mean, I don't condone that.
I'm just, you know, but I mean, it's kind of an MO, right?
I mean, we're going to be really surprised that he's living hard.
When you're talking about like artists, and in this particular case, literally a rock star, do you get the question is, do you get the massive amount of creativity in the artistry without the crazy stuff?
Right?
You know what I'm saying?
Again, not condoning it.
Well, there is a okay.
So Morgan Wallen is widely known to have a drinking problem, right?
And actually, his first song on his record, I read this whole write about it, is Born with a Beer in My Hand.
And he said, people keep telling me not to drink because they think it's going to kill me.
But if I wouldn't have drunk, if I would have ever picked up the bottle, I wouldn't have anything to write about.
That's what he says.
Yeah.
Again, don't condone it.
I'm just saying that's his perspective.
But now, I bring this up, you know, in a and I we're sort of skipping over Chris Pratt, who's getting hated on, but whatever.
I bring this up, and then instantly our team, Daisy and Emma from our team, rush in and they're like, you are dead wrong about Morgan Wall.
Taylor Swift is the best.
She was delayed for four hours in the pouring rain in Nashville and she still played her show.
Now, Joe Bob brought up an interesting counterpoint to that.
What was your point, Joe Bob?
I mean, the point is that there's a lot of money on the line here.
And if I were her, I don't care.
If the options were given to me in the dressing room, hey, do you want to play this show in the rain or do you just want to call it quits?
How much money are you paying me?
A couple million dollars?
Yeah, let's go ahead and go play that show.
Yeah, exactly.
She probably, so, okay, reports are, and I don't know if you know this, so Alex is a die-hard Swifty.
Literally, the background of my phone.
Unapologetic.
Like, it's fairly obnoxious if you're around the turning point ecosystem.
But nevertheless, we have Swifties on our team too, apparently.
They're coming out of the woodwork here, folks.
I had no idea.
So, is this true?
Have you heard the same that Taylor Swift is about to double this tour that she's on?
Is it going to double her net worth?
Yeah, so she already has a net worth of over 400 million.
This era's tour is on track to becoming possibly one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.
And we're talking, there are people that are camping out for days to get merch.
The merch that you can buy online, by the way.
They're camping out to get merch, waiting for hours and hours.
Those fans, when there was like a three-hour rain delay on Sunday night for her last Nashville show, they didn't go home and just say, All right, forget it.
They waited for her and she still performed.
And she went two hours past curfew.
I believe, oh my gosh, what is it?
$1,000 a minute?
I believe she owed like $120K just in overtime fees for going over.
All right.
Go ahead, Joe Bob.
Well, no, I would, you know, if that, if that's actually true and she's going to make all of that money, I think put your money where your mouth is, especially when she starts spouting off about politics.
Go ahead and lead by example.
Proactively giving your money.
So she was vehemently anti-Trump.
She had that whole that whole behind-the-scenes interaction with her with her, yes, where she endorsed voting for a pure communist, but that's fine.
Um, so she she she tells her parents, like, I have to come be public about this.
You know, I've never gotten political before, but I'm telling you, this time is different.
It's Donald Trump, and you're and you still back, you still back this person.
I am, I feel like I am emotionally mature enough that I can separate the art from the artist.
Let me tell you something that drives me nuts about conservatives.
If we really were to say, all right, we are boycotting every single celebrity, artist, musician, actor that is a leftist, then I guess we're all going to be living under an overpass in a cardboard box because everything pretty much in pop culture leans left.
So, what do we have?
So, to me, I look at Taylor as one of the greatest performers and songwriters of all time, and I love her art.
And so, I can set aside that she is a raging leftist for that.
That is worth it to me.
Some people, for some reason, can't make excuses.
I think that's a fine point, but they'll make excuses for other celebrities, which I won't.
I think you're right.
I think so.
The point I was making is that you got Chris Pratt, you've got Morgan Wall, and they get so much hate online when anything goes bad or if there's any controversy.
It's like this massive news story.
Here's what I will say: I think Taylor gets the female version of it.
I do think that.
I mean, she looks like a Barbie doll.
She's tall, slender, beautiful, talented, rich, you know, straight, that much we know.
She dates around, which brings me to my next Taylor Swift controversy.
So, apparently, I didn't know this.
Swear I didn't know this.
I got told this from my team in the break.
So, apparently, she was dating some dude in the UK.
Apparently, she loved British actor Joe Alwyn.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
And now they broke up after six years.
It was secret for six years.
No, it wasn't secret.
Oh, it wasn't.
It was open, but they were very, very private.
Okay.
So you knew about this.
Okay.
It was a bit of a double.
But then they broke up.
They broke up.
And now she's dating Maddie Healty.
She's dating.
She is allegedly talking to casually seeing Maddie Healy, who is the lead singer of the band the 1975.
Surely you're familiar with the 1975.
I am.
But Maddie Healty is Healy.
Healy.
What's the wrong of the thing?
Thanks, Ryan.
Making me look like I don't know about pop culture.
Actually, thank you.
Thank you.
Healy is now there's a clip here.
Cut 23.
I want you, I want to play it and get your reaction, Alex.
Everything gets done.
Okay, so this is him kissing a woman on stage who's wearing not enough clothes.
And now there's a guy.
And now he just kissing the man.
Okay, he's very famous for every show.
He brings up someone in the audience when he kisses them.
You're talking about people that are, you know, exhibiting rock star behavior.
Maddie Healy is the king of that, right?
Rockstar behavior, I do not kiss him.
I do not associate with a man kissing a man.
Destroying equipment, kissing fans, just going to be a bad person.
Wait a minute.
Answer to get some delivery here.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, this rock star behavior is.
I'm thinking like 70s metal bands and 80s metal bands like breaking guitars and like rock star behavior.
Ozzy Osborne bit the head off of a bat.
I do not look to Ozzy Osborne as my North Star.
Okay, so Maddie.
Maddie Healy has rock star behavior.
He does all sorts of crazy things on stage.
Okay.
I mean, I could already hear our studio live debate over there because they're okay.
Rock Star Behavior 00:03:26
Okay, hold up.
I mean, we're going to get all this hate mail because they're going to think.
I'm just kidding, Oz.
It's fine.
Okay.
So you like this as a partnership for Taylor Swift.
You think this is a good move?
Okay, let me tell you something.
Every single woman who decides to end a relationship, usually in her 30s, it's been several years long, and the next person she dates is somebody that is not a long-term forever partner.
It is a distraction, something fun in the meantime in the interim.
And every friend group has that girlfriend in their 30s, and they have to be like, he's all right.
At least he likes her.
It's not forever.
And that's what's going on right now.
So this is a rebound.
This is a rebound review.
This is a rebound.
All right.
Again, not advocating for this.
It's a funny simp.
Okay.
All right.
Well, I don't know what to tell the parents out there.
These are your kids.
This is what they're listening to.
I mean, here's the bottom line.
This is what your kids are listening to.
It's good for you to be in the know if you find yourself a parent in the audience.
Where have all the mortgage companies gone?
With all the here today, gone tomorrow companies out there.
It's important to use seasoned mortgage experts with years of experience.
Use the company I personally use for my mortgage needs.
I've used them, and I could tell you, Andrew Del Rey and Todd of Akian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage make the process enjoyable.
Yes, they're friends of mine.
Yes, they're Christians.
Yes, they're conservatives.
And no, they're not wokeys, but they make it enjoyable.
They have fun with you.
They ask you the important questions.
They don't waste your time.

They're really great, and they were there for me.
They text you back instantaneously.
They love finding loan solutions for people who are self-employed, first-time homebuyers, real estate investors, or people with credit challenges.

Tell them Charlie Kirk sent you.
In fact, they would love to hear that.
They're good friends.
We have dinner often.
I think the world of them, they've helped me personally.
So check it out.
No more woke banks.
They hate you.
Don't take out a mortgage from a company that hates you.
Go somewhere that wants to do business with you.
AndrewandTodd.com or call 88888 1172.
I only tell you to use them because I've used them.

It's good to start building equity.
Look, I'm not telling you what's going to happen, but it looks like the housing market might be surging up a little bit.
Go to AndrewandTodd.com.
That's AndrewandTodd.com.

All right.
So I, yeah, I don't know if we want to go into what we're talking about in the break or if we want to move on to Richard Dreyfus because this is what I mean.
You know, yeah, Taylor Swift one time dented my freezer.
I'll leave it at that.
All right.
It's a true content.
I used to live in Los Angeles.
Producer Andrew has like an entire secret Hollywood life that he lived before working on the Charlie Kirk show.
It's very juicy.
Yeah, it's very, it's very not that interesting because I lived it, but I will tell you, there was some interesting highlights.
I will tell you.
I will tell you.
One of these days I will divulge for the audience how I, you know, another weird one.
I went to Rihanna's birthday party one time.
The same thing.
At the same mansion where they filmed the bodyguard.
Hollywood Secret Life 00:04:48
It was weird.
It was very weird.
It was a very weird night.
I'm going to tease that just so you know, and then leave you all hanging because that's not front.
What if this right-wing conservative producer is front?
He actually is part of the business.
I lived it, man.
I will tell you, I lived it.
I saw it.
I looked the darkness in the eye and I said, no, thank you.
That's all you need to know.
Not today, Satan.
Not today, Satan.
All right.
I want to talk about this Richard Dreyfus story because it is very, very interesting.
Okay, so, Joe Bob, you filled me in on this.
According to you and your sources at CNN, there is news that essentially in order to get nominated for an Oscar next year, you have to hit all these diversity quotas.
Is this right?
According to the fact-checked news organization known as CNN, films have to meet at least two of four benchmarks, which cover, among other things, whether the lead actors are from underrepresented groups or if at least 30% of the cast and crew come from these underrepresented groups.
All right, so this is wild, and it's creepy because Hollywood is a precursor to the rest of the country.
But we have this clip from Richard Dreyfus.
I want to play because this was the tie-in for you.
Play Cut 55.
What do you think of these new inclusion standards for films?
They make me vomit.
Why?
Because this is an art form.
It's also a form of commerce and it makes money, but it's an art.
And no one should be telling me as an artist that I have to give in to the latest, most current idea of what morality is.
So Richard Dreyfus has come out basically as a conservative lately, just so we're aware.
I mean, there was even a chance he might come on this show.
But what's your reaction to this?
I want to hear from both of you.
The whole idea that Hollywood quote-unquote liberals are trying to effectively compel speech is like the opposite of liberalism, right?
And you're not white from what I'm told, necessarily, or at least.
Broadcast reports do suggest that I am a brown person.
So you still feel this way.
Well, I mean, you don't really want to get into that.
If you look at people.
We all have two minutes left.
Yeah, I mean, really, really briefly, if you look at people based on their skin color and not by their merit or the ability to do the job, that is probably more racist than actual racist, avowed racist.
It's ridiculous.
Common sense warning here, folks.
Well, yeah.
And if you look at somebody specifically by their quote-unquote diverse pigmentation in their skin and not the merit of which they do their job, like that, to me, it also undermines the job that people are doing.
If I, as a brown guy, was bad, but was a quote-unquote diversity hire, it would do me an injustice.
Yeah.
So I'm all about getting rid of all of this crap.
I think it's really freaky, to be honest.
Alex, we got a minute and a half left before the end of the show.
What's your thoughts?
I just saw a viral tweet a few days ago.
I think it was a black woman, and she was talking about how she had just found out that the new job that she had gotten, she was a diversity hire.
She said, you know, my hiring manager let it slip in casual conversation, like, oh, you know, we saw your name on the resume and we just, we knew you were black, and so that's why we hired you.
Wow.
And she was pissed.
And she was talking about how, like, that is so offensive, blah, blah, blah.
And it went viral.
And there were tons of people like, yeah, this is kind of, this is kind of messed up or whatever.
And I'm like, this is what this is.
Yeah.
To feel offended.
That is so insulting.
Bigotry of low expectations.
Yes.
They're starting to wake up to it, is what I'm saying.
Well, but this is where they're going with it.
And if it starts at Hollywood, I mean, here's the thing: nobody watches the Oscars anymore, anyways.
Yeah.
I mean, but it's this kind of crap that, I mean, I used to, I grew up loving watching the Oscars.
And now I can't stand it because it's so, it's so woke.
Guys, I wish we had more time, by the way.
I don't mean to get the last word in, but I'm the host.
So I guess this is how this, it's it.
We burned through that hour in more ways than one.
So to our audience, we apologize, but we hope you had fun.
I know we had a great time.
Our crew was enjoying it.
I can tell you that much.
Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
I hope you enjoyed that episode.
And let me know what you think.
When we do these little pop culture forays, I want to know what you think.
Do you hate it?
