The director general of the World Health Organization gave a press conference, and according to them, quote, this is an emergency in China, but it has not yet become a global health emergency. It may yet become one. I feel it's important to keep things in perspective and express our concern for the people of China and demand action to protect them as best as possible while taking steps to keep the odds low that the virus does become a global health emergency.
