Why do I need 75,000 people in the State Department? It's a joke. When I worked for Kissinger, we had at most nine to ten people, and Henry had to deal with 15,000. When I worked with James Baker, he had three or four people, and I was part of that group. He couldn't figure out what to do with 15,000. Man, the State Department has a list of employees you can find pretty easily, and Steve's numbers are nowhere near correct. I have no idea what he's trying to express by saying that Kissinger had like 10 guys, and that was a department. But I suspect it's a reflection of how uninvolved Steve actually was in the bigger picture. Like, I would believe that his office had like nine or ten guys in it, but man, the State Department is really big, and it always has been. How come you never honestly asked the question, why does the State Department need 75,000 people? Well, I mean, consider just for a moment that ambassadors are part of the State Department. Exactly. Then think about how that's just one part of the State Department. You start to realize there's a ton of people working under that umbrella. To put it bluntly, Steve is talking straight up bullshit here. This is nonsense. Why do you need 75,000 people working for this? Because there's a lot of shit to do, man. There are a lot of countries. There's a lot of intricate diplomacy. But fuck all that. Steve says, fire the State Department. Okay. Now we have 75,000. Fire them. I do not need a State Department.
