In John B. Calhoun's rat experiments, overcrowding caused behavioral changes including males becoming trans and females becoming bosses.

In the 60s and 70s, they did the famous rat studies where they would have contained cities of rats and give them all the food and all the water they wanted. Within three generations, the males become trans and the females become the bosses. And then within another generation, they all just start eating each other or committing suicide.
