The consistency in these conspiracy narratives taps into a fear among white people that they will be colonized or oppressed as they historically did to others.

It makes sense that there's such a consistency in this because it does tap into one of those big fears, especially among white people, which is like, they're going to do it to us. Look at all the colonizing that we did and how we did exactly what we're blaming these fictional people of doing. Because there's that underlying fear of like, Oh, we've got it coming. We just have to fight really hard to make sure it doesn't happen, even though we deserve it, 100%.
