That he was named in a lawsuit against the company for fraudulently claiming their products contained a proprietary fatty acid called Seladrin. Manavi got sued by Oprah and Dr. Oz for fraudulently claiming that they endorsed their acai products. They got sued a whole bunch, then ended up going out of business in 2014 when they defaulted on a $182 million loan note that was to secure their assets, which is pretty much how most pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing scams go back.
