When as an actor, I mean, one of the more fascinating things to me about watching people is how they can assume different identities. And how critical is it to have had so many different people in your life and different life experiences to draw from to try to understand things through their eyes?

That's what I mean by the power of his imagination. He was Alonso. And anything that he would pick up or hear would go into the computer. And then he would look for the ways that it could help the script.

And then you're just way more conscious of it of like, okay, like even with relationships of like, okay, that's, I can get quite short, like be like True Detective, I was oddly an asshole through the whole thing. And I had my best friend of 30 years with me helping me on that. And I was drinking like to blackout. And that's not me. I don't drink much, but I was just a fucking mess. And my buddy was, is like played in the NHL, AHL, was a fighter.
