I'll just go kill one and eat it. And that's what they do. And so these farmers now have to hire people 24-7 to be patrolling around their animals. So they're already operating at a very low margin, right? If you're a farmer and a rancher, you lose a bunch of cows. You're fucked. So now the state has to compensate them for depredation. So every time a wolf kills a cow, they compensate them. So it costs the state more money.
