Larry McQuilliams went on a shooting spree in Austin, targeting the police station, Mexican consulate, and federal courthouse.

On November 28th at 2.20-something in the morning, a gentleman by the name of Larry McQuilliams... What? Went on a shooting spree in Austin. Oh, no. And shot a ton of bullets at the police station and tried to set fire to the Mexican consulate. Also shot a bunch of bullets at the federal courthouse.

The attack by Larry McQuilliams was potentially politically motivated and linked to feelings about immigration.

Also, our friend Art Acevedo, the then Austin police chief, did speculate that there was reason to believe that the attack could have been... politically motivated, an anti-government attack that also might be linked to feelings about immigration, being as he tried to set the Mexican consulate on fire. All right. I'm a big fan of Acevedo. Seems pretty obvious. That's some good detective work I recognize. From Texas Monthly, shooting up the Mexican consulate shortly after President Obama issued his executive order regarding immigration does indicate a potential motive.
