De Beers, controlled indirectly by the royal family, created artificial value for diamonds using Madison Avenue tactics.
I mean, intrinsically, they have little or no value. And that value has been created by De Beers and others, particularly De Beers. Which is controlled indirectly by the royal family. And they're the ones who financed all of the projects in South Africa. And they're the ones that used Madison Ave tactics, especially after the turn of the 21st century.
