Time Text
You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
Well, welcome back, everybody.
This is TPC Extraordinaire, our march around the world, now reaching the absolute top of the mountain with Germany last week.
I think the three most interesting nations to nationalists in America are Germany, Russia, and South Africa, not necessarily in that order, but those three are at the top.
And we were with Sasha Rossmuller in Bavaria last week.
In the first hour tonight, you heard Sam Dixon co-host the interview with Charles Bosman live from Moscow.
And now we are moving down to South Africa.
And we're going to see Liz.
I heard a little bit of Simon, can we try to connect to him on the IPDTL?
I see him there in queue.
But if that doesn't work, I will let our co-host for this hour hold forth, as Sam did at the beginning of the show while we try to connect him.
Simon, are you there?
Okay, that would be too easy.
We're working on getting Simon, but I will tell you that our guest this hour is going to be, once again, Simon Roche, a regular on this program now going back for the better part of a decade.
As we continue on with the stop in South Africa, Simon is a fourth generation South African, and he'll be back this evening with updates on behalf of his embattled nation and share his thoughts on the recent actions taken by the American government concerning his people and much more.
I was just talking to Simon right before we went on the air tonight.
But to join us in that is Rich Hamblin, our friend who knows Simon well and better than I, although I know him plenty well.
Simon and Rich were together in Charlottesville.
He has been a guest in Rich's home many times here in Tennessee, and Rich has been over there as well with his lovely wife, Janice, and pairing Simon and Rich together is like teaming up nitro and glycerin.
Rich, how are you today?
I'm good, fine.
Which nitrogen or glycerin?
Hey, I'll tell you what, when y'all get together, it doesn't matter which one's which because it's going to be explosive, but it's going to be powerful.
And I guess that's the thing I'm driving towards.
So while we attempt to connect with Simon, share with us a little bit more about your association with Simon and his organization, which is really one of a kind.
Well, I met him or first discovered him when he was on his USA tour in 2017, I guess it was.
And actually, it was through, I saw an interview he did on Renegade Tribune out of Florida, and he was making his way around the United States trying to raise awareness and raise money for the cause of the organization he represents, which is called Seitlanders, which basically means Southerners.
And it's a pro-white, pro-Christian, really pro-Afrikaner almost organization in South Africa, which is preparing for the day when the then becomes now, as they say.
I connected with him.
I talked him into coming to the League of the South conference in Watomcum in 2017.
That's the first time I met him.
And we hit it off right there.
And I subsequently said, hey, why don't you go to Michigan?
I think, well, why don't you come by and stay with us for a day or two before you go on, which he did.
And then I talked him into going to Charlottesville.
And so he was a participant in Charlottesville.
He was an observer.
And he took a lot of video with my phone, and here he is.
And without further ado, and one thing I love about Simon is, I mean, we got to know him about a decade ago.
I think it was Rich, when he was crisscrossing this nation.
Is it an exaggeration, Simon?
We just introduced you, so don't feel the need that we are shortchanging you on that.
We'll talk much more about your organization over the course of this hour.
Is it an exaggeration to say that you traveled hundreds of thousands of miles, or was it just tens of thousands here in the United States as you were raising awareness for your people and their concerns?
The last number that I had was 27,000 miles, but that was before I did a big tour in late 2023 when I drove from northern Pennsylvania to New Hampshire, down to New York, then to Tennessee, then up to Iowa, then all the way across to Idaho, actually Washington State, then back all the way across to Iowa and to northern Pennsylvania.
So that must have added, I suppose, another 5,000 or 6,000 miles, so maybe 33,000, 35,000 altogether.
You have spoken at so many places.
I mean, that is just an incredible, traveling in a foreign country.
But you have spoken to all kinds of groups.
You've spoken to TPC conferences, American Renaissance, all the way down to gatherings in people's living rooms, which I've also been a part of, all the way up to speaking and addressing the European Parliament.
You take the message wherever people will hear it.
And let's just start right there.
Rich Hamblin is on the line with us.
And I am looking forward over the course of the next hour to finding out what is, as we were just talking about with our guest in Russia, what is the current situation, generally speaking, in South Africa?
We'll do it generally, and then we'll dive into the nuts and bolts of it.
The situation in South Africa is not good.
Our economy is struggling.
Unemployment is very, very high.
We only have about 3 million taxpayers left in the country.
And as you might expect, the overwhelming majority of those people are laborers, you know, the lowest echelon of taxpayer.
And we have about, I think the most recent number is 21 or 22, 23 perhaps million people receiving social grants, something like your social security.
The economy has imploded.
The value of the Rand has imploded in the span of about 12 years.
It's gone from about 7 Rand and 50 cents to purchase $1.
It's now almost 20 Rand to purchase $1.
Things are really, really not good.
The African National Congress lost last year's elections.
That is to say, it didn't gain a majority, 50% plus one vote, a theoretical majority, meaning that it had to form a government of national unity.
Now, the African National Congress is sort of a cult figure in the South African mythos.
You know, it's the party of St. Nelson Mandela.
It's the party of revolution and perfection and the wind blowing through your hair on a beautiful beach in the evening.
It can do no wrong in the mind of the, well, the popular imagination.
The fact that it wasn't able to get 50% last year and had to form a sort of coalition government, a coalition government, is indicative.
When a party like the ANC starts to fail that way, you must know that things are very, very severe because it is difficult for a revolutionary party like the African National Congress to ever lose the majority support that it once had, over 70% among the proletariat, among the peasantry, among the poorest of the poor, the illiterates who just fanatically worship what's placed before them, James.
All right.
Well, I don't think we were expecting a necessarily rosy picture of the current situation coming from South Africa of all places.
But nevertheless, Simon, with a deft ability to communicate, you always paint the picture as it truly is.
And that being said, let's toss it back over to your friend and mine, Rich Hamlin, who'll be co-hosting this hour with me.
Rich?
Yeah, Simon, don't forget to mention the total degradation of the infrastructure of the country.
I mean, the ANC inherited a fully functioning Western civilization pretty much in 1994, and they've basically done nothing to maintain it.
In fact, they've done everything they can to loot it.
Talk about load shedding, the fact that it's getting harder and harder to find potable water in South Africa.
The waste treatment system is broken down.
The railways have been ransacked, especially the electric train lines, which is the primary means of passenger travel, so people can't go to work, which has led to a proliferation of taxis on the highways.
And our highways, of course, are not maintained at all.
Going to that in a little more detail.
I mean, load shedding is a factor, except when they get close to the elections, when they try to keep the lights on.
But it's, I know you're on an isolated location with your own power sources, but what's it like in the cities?
Well, it's ludicrous, and it's difficult to convey the severity of it to people who haven't seen it with their own eyes.
You know, 30 years ago, South Africa's famous power grid produced over 50% of the power produced in Africa.
We're just one country of now 54 countries that compose Africa.
Then about 50 or 51.
Three new countries have been made over recent decades.
Over 50%.
40% of the power.
Pardon the interruption, Simon.
We've got to take a quick break.
We're going to take this break, and we will be right back with Simon Roche.
We're going to work on this click.
I'm not sure if it's going out over the air, but it's certainly in my headset.
So we're going to see if we can address that, arrest that, and we won't take another break this hour beyond the bottom of the hour's break.
Stay tuned, everybody.

We are live in South Africa with Simon Roche, who is media spokesman and representative for the civil defense organization the Sightlanders.
That is an organization which is devoted to the protection of the non-combatant Afrikaner Boer civilians in the event of a large-scale conflict.
We are talking along with Rich Hamlin, who is co-hosting this hour, very good friend of Simon's and of mine and of this program, with Simon about, of course, the situation in South Africa.
We were getting into that, and we're going to talk a little bit more about recent actions from the American government and the reaction to Simon with regard to that and his people, even more broadly, as this hour rolls on.
So, Simon, continue on with your assessment and the question that Rich had posed before the break.
Yeah, well, to illustrate this absolute collapse of the country, we had a power system that was the fourth largest in the world, produced over 50% of all of Africa's power, and was famously the cheapest power in the world.
It was like electricity for free.
And now we're lucky if we have power.
My nearest little village is called Hofmeyer.
It's in the eastern Cape Province, South Africa.
I live at the foot of the bamboo mountains of South Africa.
It's glorious.
I occupy a magnificent farmstead, and I'm very blessed to live the way that I live where I live.
But just 10 miles from me is 15 miles from me is this little village.
And they go for days and days without power.
And that is the story of the new South Africa Rainbow Nation People's Socialist Revolutionary Utopia.
It's a catastrophe.
We are governed by clowns.
For us, the recent U.S. elections have been very entertaining because although we hardcore conservatives are largely skeptical of Donald Trump, you know, we hear about the greatest economy in the history of all of mankind and of all of the worlds in the universe.
And we think, yeah, but you printed $5 trillion to do that, my mate.
You increased debt by more than any person in the history of the universe, all of the worlds of the universe.
So we have a healthy skepticism of Donald Trump, but we were rooting for him.
It was too much for our mind.
Most fantastic fight the world had ever seen, better than a Mike Tyson duel, because what we saw was the world's greatest bullshitter up against one of the world's greatest perverts.
And we were on the bullshitter's side.
You know what I mean?
For us, it was okay.
I mean, he wasn't going to govern us.
So we wouldn't have to suffer the consequences of these enormous money printing exercises.
For us, it was just that Kamala Harris was a motif of all of our rulers, of the absurdity of Nelson Mandela and the ridiculous utterances that he used to make of our current president, of our former Minister of Foreign Affairs, our equivalent to a Secretary of State who didn't know anything about Brexit, for instance.
Our other former president who claimed that Africa is the only continent in the world that doesn't have a river that runs in one end and out the other, cutting it in two.
I mean, the level of intelligence in these people is very, very, very low.
And combined with like a cellular, intrinsic, elemental perversity, a perversity of the soul, such as which Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg and their equivalents exhibit.
For us, we were on Donald Trump's side all the way.
We were up until three o'clock in the morning counting the votes, had our calculators out the whole lot.
It was delightful to us.
But my point being that the madness that we're seeing in California, some of the madness in Oregon and Washington State and other places, the madness of 55-year-old men being sanctioned by municipalities to reveal their rectal cavities to eight-year-old children at library book hour on Friday afternoons in the USA.
For us, that madness is the madness of the new South Africa Rainbow Nation.
It's just what we've become accustomed to.
People can't fill in a pothole, can't fill out a form, can't administer a school, can't administer the world's finest, arguably, electricity infrastructural system, can't administer a rail.
I mean, that's not even a possibility to contemplate.
Trains, times, steering left, steering right, forwards, backwards, slowdown, break.
It's far too much for the African National Congress.
And of course, they've taken it a step further in recent weeks.
As you may or may not know, James, the African National Congress has come out in support of Palestine, which is well and good.
I think that the whole world is horrified by what Israel is doing as part of its, you know, that I'm sure you've heard of it, this plan to bring in the Messiah in the week of following the 12th of April this year, the deadline running out, the red heifers and all of this.
And part of that plan, as you probably know, includes extirpating Gaza for very, very deep occultic reasons.
Nevertheless, we're all horrified.
We're all revolted.
We see the children dying.
It's not nice.
I'm a father.
I've got children, black, white, colored, Indian, Chinese.
You know, it's not nice to see a child die.
You wonder to yourself what could have become of them.
They might have been a good soul.
But the ANC has taken it a step further.
They've said, you know, the Palestinians can do no wrong, and we're on their side.
So of course Donald Trump was inaugurated and it wasn't many days before he began to sanction South Africa, withdrawing billions of dollars of aid.
And then very audaciously, he offered asylum to white South African farmers.
Now you can just imagine how that stoked the flames of racial hatred in this country because here you have the endlessly suffering, endless victims of black South Africa, witnessing this maverick cavalier president say that whites who speak a Dutch language or a Germanic language who farm can come to America for free.
It's the offense of all offenses.
So they've been trading blows and the most recent or the two most recent incidents have been that the South African ambassador to Washington got kicked out.
He was declared persona non grata by Washington DC just last week after he said in a Zoom call which was recorded and then published that Donald Trump is a white supremacist.
Lo and behold, as if that wasn't enough, the city of Johannesburg, which is now what we would call a nest, it's a pit of vipers, a pit lined with sewerage.
It's tragic to see what the city of Johannesburg looks like now, voted to change the name of the street on which the U.S. Consulate is located from Santon Drive.
It's a very prestigious area that was created privately.
It's not a municipal thing.
It was created by a bunch of white businessmen out of nothing.
And so there are roads there, obviously, and the chief road is called Santon Drive.
The place is called Santon.
But the ANC has control over it, even though it is in many ways a sort of private entity.
And they're changing the name to Leila Khaled.
Now, for those who don't know, Leila Khaled was the first Palestinian female airplane hijacker, and she famously, with her chums, hijacked a TWA, Trans World Airlines, American Airline, flight from Rome to Tel Aviv, and then another one from Tel Aviv to, or from New York to Tel Aviv, I forget now, the second one, in 1969, August 1969, in September 1970.
This is the street on which the U.S. Consulate is situated.
People are going berserk.
Now, best of all, it doesn't matter whose side you take, if you're a southern Christian evangelist, Christian Zionist, whatever you guys, the thing in the USA, and you're all for Israel, that's okay.
The point is simple, without bias.
During the time of what the African people call the struggle of the African National Congress and various other revolutionary parties when they were blowing up white people and what have you in South Africa, lots of terrorism, the greatest supporters of any ethnic group, be they the Afrikaner whites of South Africa, the English whites of South Africa, the Jewish whites, the famous colored people, mixed race people, the Indians from India.
We have the largest population outside of India.
Regardless, next to the blacks was the Jews.
George Galloway, famous British politician, infamously said, when I toured South Africa during apartheid, every meal I ate, every bed I slept in, and every motor car in which I was driven was provided by a Jew.
Now, the greatest concentration of Jews in Africa is right around this place called Santon, and the chief road that runs through is this Santon Drive.
So they have managed to offend in one blow the United States of America and their greatest supporters, the famous Jewish community of Johannesburg.
It's absolute chaos out here.
And I suppose we're going to a break soon.
That is a fantastic.
What a riveting report.
I will say this.
We are coming up to a break.
And I want to say this to Rich.
I called Rich or got in touch with Rich rather last night, texted, and asked him to co-host this.
But one thing about being a good host is knowing when a guest is cooking to let him cook.
And Simon, you were cooking that segment.
When we come back, I do want Rich to take over this next segment.
And I would like to do, now that we have a good understanding of sort of the situation on the ground in general in South Africa, I want to circle back before the end of the hour and talk a little bit more about Trump.
But in the next segment, I want you and Rich to engage in sort of a rapid fire to the extent that there can be any rapidity.
A lot of questions from Rich in the next segment.
Stay tuned.

The DOJ is in a legal tingle with a federal judge who intervened on the administration's deportation flights of Venezuelan gang members.
U.S. District Judge Jeb Boseberg's demanding the Trump administration explain why it failed to turn around flights carrying deportees to El Salvador over the weekend, as he'd ordered.
The Trump administration alleged the Venezuelan immigrants were gang members and part of an invasion, setting an 18th century wartime law.
But the judge temporarily blocked the deportations even as the planes were in the air, directing their return.
The administration said Boseberg's follow-up request to provide more details about the flights or claimed that complying would harm state secrets was unnecessary judicial phishing.

Marxists are the sworn enemy of Western civilization.
Karl Marx crafted his communist ideology with the genocidal goal of destroying the European peoples.
Key concepts of communism are atheism and materialism, that God and spirit do not exist.
Germany was smashed at the end of World War II, and communism emerged triumphant.
By controlling the political system, courts, mass media, educational system, and entertainment industries, Marxists have imposed a tyrannical, top-down agenda of globalism and immoralization on the West.
The results are open borders, rampant crime, institutionalized corruption, sexual perversion, the destruction of the middle class, concentration of wealth, aimless youth with no purpose in life, and the hollowing out of Christianity.
But Kyle McDermott's book, The Declaration of White Independence, demonstrates how we can unshackle our people from the communist ideology and obliterate atheism and materialism.

We're back right now with a dear friend, two of them, in fact, Simon Roche, live from South Africa, and, of course, Rich Hamblin, who I have known for almost as long as I can remember.
It seems like my entire adult life at this point, he and Janice.
Basically, family.
And my wife and I, speaking of family, Rich, my wife and I were watching a movie earlier this week that was set in the 1920s in Africa.
And you have, of course, the British are there.
They're colonizing.
They're building railroads.
They're fighting lions.
They are bringing civilization to the dark continent, the white man's burden, after all.
And then, you know, Simon was just mentioning it.
Of course, they were declared to be the true villains of that whole ordeal.
And when they were removed, the jungle retook these advancements.
And, well, South Africa is a stark example of that.
So, we are going to turn it over to Rich now.
He and Simon are going to steer this segment, and I'll be back with you in a moment.
Rich, take it away.
All right.
One major question.
What's the future of white people in South Africa?
It's very limited, Richard.
I'll briefly explain that there is a plan, a very well understood, well-documented, reasserted over and over and over again, plan called the National Democratic Revolution.
This is of the South African Communist Party slash African National Congress.
They are two legs of the same body.
Called the National Democratic Revolution, which is effectively the slow-burn version of the Russian Revolution.
It is based upon the fact that the whites of South Africa are colonizers of a special type.
That's their phrase.
Meaning, we won't beat them as easily as the Bolsheviks beat the whites in Russia.
So the way we're going to have to do it is boil them alive like a frog in a pot.
Pot with a shallow draft.
The frog can jump out easily.
So what you do is you make the water lukewarm for the frog.
You pop him in.
He loves it because he's cold-blooded.
And then you turn the water up gradually.
And against his own interests, he enjoys it more and more and more and more until it's too late for him to jump out.
Now that, what I've just described is on record.
Our current president explained it to a famous academic in detail so that he would comprehend what the plans for South Africa would be for the white people, how the African National Congress would destroy them over time.
Now, recently, a law has been passed called expropriation without compensation, which entitles very recently, less than two months ago, I think, yeah, Monday will be two months ago.
Yeah.
Whereby the government is legally entitled to seize any and all property, not just farmland as people stereotypically have it, any and all property if it is deemed to be in the interests of the public good.
And that is to be determined at the lowest level of administration, not at the national level, but rather at the level of the feckless, alcoholic, illiterate mayor and his town council of all of the municipalities of South Africa.
So it promises to be a catastrophe, even a cataclysm of the first water.
And that, I think, sums up the answer to your question.
That is the future of white people in South Africa.
It is very, very dark, Richard.
Now, this is appropriate, as EWC, I guess.
Now, isn't that contrary to the Constitution of South Africa?
Or, I mean, is there a process for amending the Constitution of South Africa?
Or can they just do it by legislative action?
No, they can't.
This is in complete contradiction to section 25 of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution, which quite painstakingly arrogates to ordinary citizens the protection of their property.
It's an absolute 180 degrees contradiction.
But nobody has the, I don't know what you want to call it, the independence to fight it.
The ANC doesn't care that it's in direct conflict with the Constitution.
The radical parties in the Parliament don't care.
And the Masonic parties in the Parliament pretend to care, but are doing nothing about it.
So it's just absolute, I mean, it's a catastrophe.
But we've known for many, many years that this would happen.
We've spent a lot of time going around the world, not endeavoring to evangelize anybody, but to explain what is the basis of state laws.
Why do we believe what we believe?
We have among the white peoples of the world, the Caucasian peoples of the world, an unusual figure in our history, a very strange man, very, very painfully pious man, who appeared to have a gift of prophecy that was dismissed by the entire folk for decades, absolutely decades, until his prophecies began to become true.
And he's since developed an enormous following among the far right wing of South Africa, people like me.
It's not that I think that he has a prophetic gift and you don't.
It's got nothing to do with anything except testing a tree by its fruit, as it were.
This guy told us there will be a black government one day.
And 100 years ago, that was enough to have you pillowied in public.
He told us that the first ruler, the first black ruler on the throne of South Africa, would be deemed a saint by the world.
And that when he's buried, people will come from all over the world to view him through a glass coffin and so on and so forth.
He made many prophecies.
The long and the short of it is that we've known that this was coming for a long time.
And we've known that we would be betrayed by our ostensible representatives, the largely white party in Parliament and the large white, particularly Afrikaner civil society organizations that do so much good, but which are at the end of the day when all is said and done, our equivalent of Donald Trump.
It's well and good, great guy, terrific hair, but your Secretary of the Treasury, anal intercourse is his great delight in life.
That is not true conservatism.
Likewise, the AFD, Alice Viedel.
She's married to a woman.
So, you know, for us, we saw this coming.
We knew that we would be let down.
We knew that they wouldn't stand up.
We knew that the opposition parties would make, at best, a token effort to resist this expropriation without compensation law.
But in fact, they're supplementing it because it turned out, it was kept hush-hush, that the previous day, another law brought by this kind of semi-white party, this white-dominated party, in this new coalition government that the ANC was obliged to form because it couldn't get 50% of the vote.
You're talking about the DA.
The Democratic Alliance.
Yeah, that's right.
And the post, or one of the posts that they got in the cabinet of South Africa, you know, our people are so stupid and useless.
You have a cabinet of 15 core members plus nine special departments.
So 24 at most in any cabinet meeting in Washington, D.C. That's the greatest number that can be represented.
But it can be as little as 15 if those special departments don't warrant representation at a certain cabinet meeting.
We have something like 77 cabinet and deputy cabinet functionaries.
And in fact, it's more about, I forget the number, but you know, just stupid, just useless.
And between that lot, they obviously divvied up all of the posts.
The Democratic Alliance, this white guy, the head, got the post of Minister of Agriculture, needless to say, whites, as stupid as we are, rejoiced only for us to discover that the day before, as I say, kept hush-hush, the expropriation without compensation law was passed.
He had passed, so he curated, if you like, through our parliamentary and legislative process, a law called the Preservation and Development of Agricultural Land Bill, which became an act, signed into law as an act, which arrogates to the government exclusively how all agricultural land in South Africa may be used.
So far from being an enemy of the African National Congress, they are a compliment.
They are a wolf in sheep's clothing to this process that goes back hundreds of years.
It can be traced back like your history.
Essentially, he's an agent of the EWC.
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
Unwittingly, by being in the position of being the Minister of Agriculture.
Because he's going to have to be a good idea.
I don't think it's unwitting.
I don't think it's unwitting, Richard.
You know, the more that you look at this thing and the more that you, for instance, I follow rabbis.
I've taught myself a little bit of Aramaic, a little bit of Yiddish, and a fair amount of Hebrew enough to get by.
I follow them day and night.
And one thing I've discovered is that every single thing that happens in the world today was pre-planned a long, long time ago.
This is no unwitting accident.
These guys know what they do.
Hold on right there.
A wonderful place to pause it with Simon Roche of Sightlanders.
Check them out.
Rich Hamblin, I'm James Edwards.
We'll be right back.
Hey there, TPC family.
This is James Edwards, your host of the Political Cesspool.

You know where the solution can be found, Mr. President?
In churches, in wedding chapels, in maternity wards across the country and around the world.
More babies will mean forward-looking adults, the sort we need to tackle long-term large-scale problems.
American babies in particular are likely going to be wealthier, better educated, and more conservation-minded than children raised in still industrializing countries.
As economist Tyler Cowan recently wrote, quote, by having more children, you're making your nation more populous, thus boosting its capacity to solve climate change.
The planet does not need for us to think globally and act locally so much as it needs us to think family and act personally.
The solution to so many of our problems at all times and in all places is to fall in love, get married, and have some kids.
I don't know what we're going to do next week because where do you go after Russia and South Africa?
I always would be setting up next week's guest to fail after tonight's interviews with Charles Balsman live from Moscow, Simon Roche live from South Africa last week in Germany.
Do we call it early?
Do you want to call Mark Around the World early and just say we did our duty?
We did our job.
We'll see what happens next week.
But it'll be a great show as well.
All of these guests are wonderful.
This is just such an interesting series to produce every year.
We've been doing it for a while now.
Simon, I want to just remind people very quickly, again, you are a media spokesman for Sightlanders.
And folks, if I read out the spelling of that, it's not going to make sense to our English-speaking tongues.
So I will just say that you can go to thepolitical cesspool.org.
If you click on the entry, listen live to tonight's program.
We have a link directly over to their website at Sightlanders.
So be sure to check it out.
Familiarize yourself with the work and get in touch and see what you can do to help.
So that's at our website.
You can also link over to Charles Balzman's contact information.
He's got a sub-stack, 18,000 readers over there.
It's the continuation of Russia Insider.
Simon, I want to ask you very quickly before we turn it back over to Brother Rich.
Just quickly touching on, you mentioned, of course, seemingly schizophrenic actions out of Trump that there were these sanctions that were put on South Africa, presumably because of their support of the Palestinians.
But at the same time, almost the exact same time, within the first few days of him retaking the office, he did execute this executive order inviting, as you mentioned, the white South African farmers over to the United States, which is a groundbreaking thing, I think.
And then elsewhere in the administration, Elon Musk bringing awareness to the anti-white genocide taking place over there in South Africa at the hands of the ANC.
So how do you, as a guy who's a no-nonsense observer of politics and fourth-generation South Afrikaner, someone who is self-admittedly skeptical of Trump, how do you view that?
How has it been received by South Africa at large?
Can I answer that?
Can I answer that question?
Nowhere in Trump's executive orders or his subsequent pronouncements has he mentioned the word white.
All he's mentioned is Afrikaans speakers.
Now, if Simon can elaborate, there are quite a few non-whites who speak Afrikaans.
Now, does that mean that the refugee status is open to them?
But no, you know, we're acting like this is a victory for the white farmers when it does not say any such thing of the sort.
And the United States, of course, is known not for nothing else, for being duplicitous in his dealings with foreign relations.
That's a good point.
And Rich is correct.
It did not say white.
Now, I read it as I interpreted it, I should say, as it meaning these people.
But Rich, or excuse me, Rich, thank you for that clarification.
And Simon, again, your reaction to this and the reaction of your people in South Africa to this.
Richard is dead, dead, dead, right?
But I don't think that it's going to count.
I haven't heard of any non-white Afrikaans speakers applying.
13,000 applied on the first day and crashed the server of the entity that was sort of curating that process.
By the end of three days full after the head, it's the United States, South Africa Chamber of Business Council or something like that.
I forget the Chamber of Commerce, they boosted their server capacity.
The head was very proud to announce that, rectified the matter, and then proceeded to receive even more applications, 50,000 by the end of the third day full.
And it's now sitting on 67,000 that were handed over formally to the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria on this Monday past, I believe.
And of course, 67,000 applications represents perhaps 250,000, perhaps a bit fewer, let's call it 200,000 people, because it'll be largely families, largely skilled Afrikaner farmer or tradesman-type people, fitters and turners,
tool and die makers, boiler makers, draftsmen, machine operators, engineers, that class of people, people who are either farmers or either work in artisanal trades.
So, yeah, it looks like it's going ahead.
And of course, black South Africa is absolutely furious at the blatant racism of the matter, because as much as you might say that technically there are more non-white people who speak the Afrikaans language than there are white people.
That is to say, we're talking now about the famous colored people of South Africa, the mixed-race people who insist upon being called coloureds.
None of them are replying.
The figure is so low as not to count.
It's fractions, fractions, fractions of a percentage.
So those are the people who want to go to the USA, and they're very industrious people, fanatically hardworking people.
It's a very popular thing among young South Africans to visit Israel because it's a free holiday if you work on a kibbutz or moshav.
It's got nothing to do with anything except that you can go anywhere in the world with RANDs, our currency, and buy nothing.
But you can go to Israel and live for free just by dint of your labor.
So many people go and work at a kibbutz or a moshav in Israel.
And gee, I've lost my track of thought for a second.
We were talking about the colored people.
Oh, heavens above, I've completely lost my track of thought.
Well, we were just talking in general.
Well, I'll give you a minute on this, and I want Rich to have the final question here.
These two hours with both you and Charles in Russia, just in the blink of an eye.
Just generally speaking, it looks like the ruling government, the black ruling government in South Africa, is upset about what Trump has done with this regard, and whereas the white farmers, even though the word white has never crossed Trump's lips, are seemingly excited about it.
Rich, a final question to you with about five minutes left.
How many white South Africans have left since 1994?
Oh, Richard, I don't know the number, but I would say that it probably hovers around 20% of what the population should be by the normal growth standards of our people since 1994.
I would say if you added another 20, we're about 4.5 million, a little bit over 4.5 million now.
We would probably be approaching 6, 5.5 to 6 million if those people hadn't left.
Two of my brothers left.
One has since returned.
But of four brothers, one left and hasn't come back, and one was away for years and years, decades.
So, yeah, big numbers.
Well, I will say this, Rich, and to Simon as well.
I know, Simon, you're of the mindset you're going to stay and you're going to defend your land and you're not going to leave, and that is admirable.
But for the South Africans who have left, and we know one, Jason Bartlett, I mean, I guess we all three know him.
He's been on the program and it's been in the news.
You know, he has a farm.
Wherever they go, they are industrious people.
They are wonderful credits to whatever community, whatever nation that they can be found, and they just start farming all over again.
I mean, wherever they get, they just do what they were doing in South Africa and they do it in the nation.
So it would be a wonderful thing for America to get more people from South Africa, but of course, it wouldn't be good for South Africa to lose them.
Rich, to you.
I remember my anecdote.
I'll be brief.
Richard, sorry, just I'll be very, very brief.
So I was in Israel working on this kibbutz, and the most strenuous work that you can do on the kibbutz is certain tasks.
And the South Africans get drafted into those tasks every single time.
Get kicked off the kibbutz for beating up some Israeli soldiers, have to go to Tel Aviv to find work.
And I was working in a restaurant as a scrubber or whatever, washing the dishes.
And the owner of the restaurant called me over in quite a haughty, aloof manner.
And he said to me, Where from you come?
What is your name?
I said, Oh, my name is Simon Roche.
Where you come?
I said, South Africa.
He said to me, Oh, okay, go now, go now, go now.
I said, I beg your pardon, but it's unusual that somebody should ask me a question and not explain why.
I kind of insist.
I want to know.
That's all I'm asking.
I prefer not to be interrogated this way, you know, if you don't mind.
He said to me, No, no, you tell me you, South Africa.
Now I see why you work like Zemaniac.
You work like Zemaniac.
Don't worry, nothing.
You stay here.
Everything good.
Everything good.
South Africa.
White boy work nice.
So, yeah, that's how they are.
They just, we like to work.
I work six days a week, 14 hours a day, with almost no exceptions.
It's what we do.
Exactly.
Rich, I don't know if we have time for another question, but I would love to give you the final word.
Thanks again for helping us out with this hour.
Well, thanks, Simon, for coming on.
It's good to talk to you again.
Your insights are always welcome.
I really look forward to the day I'm healthy enough to go back down there and see what's left of South Africa.
But until then, we'll just have to talk on the funnel on the telephone.
So good day, Simon.
Pleasure talking to you.
Yeah, thanks very much.
May I throw something in?
Have we got a half a minute, James?
We do.
Go.
Okay.
So I've been, you guys are the first to hear of this.
Nobody knows about this.
It's not yet a done deal.
But for about six or seven months, the Russian government has been inviting me to Russia.
It looks like I'm going to go in a few weeks' time.
They've invited me for 100 days.
Wow.
And yeah, numerous invitations repeatedly.
They've been pleading with me to come.
And it's a great opportunity.
And I look forward to going and maybe doing a show with you from Russia.
I tell you what, when that happens, we will have Rich back on.
I would love to hear a live report from a South African in Russia.
How about that, Rich?
That is wonderful news, and I hope it is a very productive trip.
Whatever you may be doing there, we'll get the details of that later because we are out of time.
I want to thank my friend Rich Hamblin for co-hosting this hour with me, Simon Roche, for joining us from South Africa.
We will wrap up tonight's broadcast in the third hour with news stateside.
Russia, South Africa, tonight.
