Time Text
Greetings, true friends and greetings you proud sons of Rome.
And now I'm trying out Attila with actually a face cam.
Let me know what you think about that.
I thought added for you know the visual aspect of it all and you know to for it to be a bit more interactive.
So, either way, I haven't made one of these in a while and I'm excited to be back in in the game.
Really lovely game, brilliant game, as I've said.
So it's a new turn and we're gonna jump straight into the action.
We have lost a resource, Pannonia.
That's fine, it's cool, and we have some other issues to deal with.
We're gonna see.
We're gonna start down here and see if everything is still cool.
Yeah, the shimming, shimmering sails love that.
Really cool and happy enough.
I suppose not happy here, and we'll probably have a rebellion on our hand here soon, can garrison these guys here.
Then, since we're closer to rebellion and see, here it's only two minus and three minus there we have leveled this guy.
What does roam require me?
Replenishment is good, public order obviously boom.
There we go, and now we only have one minus.
So next time we level we can get another one, which will be brilliant.
We're gonna look at the glorious place here as well, might have to look into some more public order here.
Public order minus one, food consumption minus thirty, but public order plus seven.
Influence Roman Paganism, love it, but we're still Christian UH, Scriptorium.
Public order plus three is actually something that can be worthwhile Palma also food consumption but it's worth it for the, for the public order.
We have a little rebellion on our hands which have to be stomped out as soon as possible.
So what we're gonna do is, takes two turns to get there.
Boom, there we are.
We're gonna get him into Constantia meanwhile.
Then these guys will have another turn to get more units and the next turn we can charge them.
So and this I think we should be fine with just having this army as it is.
I don't want to spend too much money on um, um on units, as it were.
This is not good one bit.
I'm actually thinking about creating another army right here as well.
And look at merchant and I made a little little picture on my um on my facebook which I shared.
I don't know if you saw that, but with the that sort of thing marksman yes, relentless attacker, moral when attacking, not really good.
We're gonna go with that instead.
Oh no, not a flit and create some.
I've loaded up with some monster.
Actually, I switched it up from coffee, but usually it's it's coffee in gaming, but now it's actually a monster.
Not endorsed by them in any way, so you so you don't try so you don't think I'm sitting here trying to promote uh a product just for the sake of it.
I like it though, it's a good good dream.
So, Italian, what do we do with these guys?
Let's look at the diplomacy.
Since it was a while since I actually did an episode, I don't really know where we are at with the situation with improving and improving.
That's brilliant.
The Eastern Roman Empire obviously is our friend Asia.
Hello, let us be honored by your attendance and your words.
Hi, don't want to be a puppet state.
And payments, can we get a little bit of money from him?
Yes, we can.
I always try to push as high as possible with the money here.
Your fine goods would be welcomed in our city.
Boom.
Okay, some extra cash there.
Oh, I wasn't actually done.
I know diplomacy might not be the most interesting part to watch as a lesson, but it's very important nonetheless.
So, either way, we're gonna try to station these guys here.
Looking at creating some more units there, and we'll try to just keep this border very intact indeed.
We're gonna look at the possibility of creating another arm here.
Champion Rider.
We don't really have any cavalry units left, though.
But that can be cool for a later purpose, I suppose.
Ah, okay, silly mistake of me.
I should have created him in another region so that could recruit more units.
However, what we can do is utilize this guy instead.
Because if we get charged here and sieged, the units aren't being created, but they can be created here.
So, that is how we can do public order is fine here, actually.
So, we don't need to worry about that.
Vienna has been sacked.
Don't want to spend too much cash there.
What we could do, though, is try to get back Lugundum.
See how these guys fare actually.
Because if they stray too far away from Avernicum, we can just swoop in, take that, and subjugate them and keep them happy, as it were.
Rebellion probably there soon.
Rebellion here soon as well, so we can look at maintenance cost sanitation public order, yes, please probably gonna need another army here.
In okay, yes, we're gonna need that right there.
Political animal, personal influence, not really interested in that integrity, always nice.
So, we have to spend some cash on military units, but that's the way it is.
I'm gonna end ton and see what the crack is.
Alrighty then, Truefrance.
I um actually skipped the turnover.
Look at that!
The Council of Carthage, Christian following, nice Christian support, public order, awesome, like it.
So now we have a neutral public order here.
Neutral there as well.
And oh, look at that.
Awesome.
Wonderful.
A positive public order right there.
And this guy is actually leveled.
Public order.
Boom, boom.
Awesome.
Now they're really happy.
That makes me happy.
When my people are happy, I am happy.
It's true, actually.
It is.
Not very happy here, but it's not a very important region to.
I mean, we have an army there, so it's fine.
Gonna see if we can actually sell it.
Ah, god, okay, no, we're not gonna take that.
Get some more nationals right there.
This I'll probably disband them next turn, though, after the fight to not have to deal with the upkeep.
Now, children, let's see if we can deal with these busters.
I'm gonna take on warriors, as is my custom.
Hmm.
A good few turns until they might be there.
Call this a garrison.
And I suppose we could actually go up to Italy with this little force.
Public order, yes, please.
Awesome.
Public order, boom, boom.
Yes, thank you very much.
Or at least have them there.
Plenty of options, true friends.
Plenty of options indeed.
And this place is happy right now.
Probably not the case in a few turns.
Public order, boom, boom.
Yes, please.
And Cesarea Augusta might have butchered the pronunciation of that name.
This region is quite safe enough, I suppose, but no, I'm probably not gonna try to keep these settlements.
I'm gonna let them let them go actually.
The wild warriors bastard to think that we gave a region to them.
And the Alamans still holding still strong there.
Gonna look at the economic development of this region.
Neapolis.
God are happier.
Nice.
Food, additional.
And as I've explained maybe in the Ostrogoth campaign, the reason for a salt work increases the food production is that salt is used to conserve food.
Actually, that's why.
So you get can actually look at that one as well.
And now we've spent all the cash for this turn.
Can we do anything more fun?
Created this little unit here and they're fine.
Alright, not much more we can do in this this turn.
Alright, I took another edit there.
And as usual we have some imminent rebellions, etc.
Also, we can research something new and fun.
And I suppose Legio.
Is that a good thing?
It kinda is.
But we're looking at wealth here in the beginning, so we're gonna go with that thing right there.
And also when we upgrade that thing, we can upgrade the legioners at a later stage as well.
Emerita Augusta.
Sanitation.
Fun aqueduct.
That's that's rather there.
But for the public order, I'm willing to do it.
And the food, we have plenty of food, actually.
Hello there, Caledonians.
Are you gonna sack one of my cities?
I suppose you will.
Go up with that little garrison there, can actually create some more units there as well.
And let's look down here.
Altra Sol is no, we can't.
We'll have a battle on our hands there.
Instead, these guys, though.
Do you want to do anything fun?
Maybe where can we put in these guys?
They could just go down here, actually.
Let's do it.
Then we'll have a sure victory.
Victory, and then we can merge these two armies and go north with them to slay some blasphemous barbarians.
Can actually build something.
Let's look at that.
Unit experience?
No, we don't really need that.
Waterworks.
Rallyfield.
Capital.
Yes, let's go with that.
What do we have here?
A die maker.
Wow, Muran.
Let's go with that.
Always.
Always like to build things in Total War.
That's my.
As I've said in numerous episodes now, that's my probably favorite thing with the game.
Not so much the battling itself, but rather the overall population things.
The overall economical things.
I mean.
Okay, cool.
Let's look here, yes you want to get good, you also want to get up there.
Flavius Honorius.
Power acceptable.
That's good, let's gather some, gather support for him.
Let's do that, shall we?
Alright, these guys have been created.
Let's go over there then and merge you.
Awesome, wonderful.
You will probably go back there.
Yeah, Mediolanum will not go any further than here.
Let's build something fun here.
Oh, we didn't even have the cash to build anything.
Now I feel stupid.
Oh well.
Yes, let's go with that.
Okay, I'm gonna take one more chan in this glorious episode.
Alright, true friends.
I thought to edit this away, but hey ho, we got charged by these blasphemous Illyrians and they're obviously supported by these guys.
This is our defense border against Italy, so I'm not gonna take any chances here.
Alright true friends, I actually thought to end this glorious episode right there, but then I thought to myself how about optimizing our gloriousness by killing these barbarians.
So let's get into the battle.
And now yes, the reason we're taking this battle is that I want to try to keep Aqualia as long as possible because that's like the first border against all the blasphemous barbarians.
I don't suppose we stand much of a chance really in the battle but it is worth to try to kill as many barbarians as possible to make it easier basically to recapture this settlement later on because we need it.
The other ones that are not that aren't in Italy aren't as important as this one.
But Italia and Spain needs to be kept in Roman hands otherwise we are in a world of trouble as it were so the battle plan really really simple and just trying to go with that heavy shot there.
Just trying to hold on for as long as possible.
That's basically it.
I'm gonna go these points to the last man and hopefully they lose very many soldiers so that we can retake it later.
And as I said I don't really suppose that we can hope for a victory here considering how much they outnumber us but obviously aiming for that at least and then we'll see how it all turns out.
So I might edit some throughout the video as well because I want to keep the battle relatively short.
Since it will be a grind fest like with all these Roman legionnaires fighting off against each other it can be quite tedious when they just grind it out as it were.
So there we have their general and without further ado I'm just trying to get him like this little horseman can't really do much against like the heavy infantry of the Romans there but at least they can try to get at me.
Did not see them coming there that was silly of me.
I did not think of that at all, I should have chosen another route.
But then again this route was blocked off.
Okay cool where are you?
There you are.
And it's decimated as well.
Now, there they are.
They will fight an uphill battle, which is good for boss, obviously.
I'm gonna try to utilize this special ability that the general has so as often as possible and the only priority is this general right there.
Everything else is very secondary when it comes to our missiles at least.
So yeah, this is what the battle will look like.
We'll just try to defend them off right.
I got the archers up here in order to to get get a good shot at the general and hopefully we'll get in at least one arrow.
Shouldn't be impossible.
It looks like it.
Oh well, all right, we have caused some damage on the general.
I'm gonna change units to these guys so they can get up and hopefully get a few shots at the treasonous rebel general right there.
Nothing remains of this unit now there we are Fire away, true friends, fire away.
No idea why they don't attack.
Must be some sort of bug.
I suppose we look at the balance power right here, Allied man count, we have lost 270 something and they have lost a good deal more, 700 something like that, 700 and counting.
And, oh, if we can just get, we can just get their general there.
I would be a very happy Pale Orc.
All right, true friends.
I have utilized a rather long edit there and, as anticipated, the grind fest was all too real.
So we have moved up the positions here.
We can look at the balance power and they've lost a good few men right there, 1300 and we've lost.
God is ticking down fast, oh well soon.
600 men, at least not yet, but soon and they are mercilessly shooting down upon us and wish we had some some cavalry to get behind, but we don't.
And that is a shame.
I'm gonna try to...
See, there we have the general.
45, medium melee infantry.
Not all too much, actually.
Okay, these guys need a rest.
They are getting hammered there.
And, you see here, the general is not doing particularly much, but running around and is getting killed.
I'm gonna see if we can get a lucky shot at him.
And there, we can just get that guy.
Alright, look at that reference, look at that.
They're running.
The enemy general is fleeing.
The general is dead.
A lethal blow.
Yes.
Yes.
That felt rather glorious to be honest.
Enemy general dead.
And the other.
Barbarian. Is fleeing.
Look at that.
Now.
We're almost even This is beginning to turn into a route Feels rather good man to be honest Feels rather good man.JPG indeed
Alright true friends I utilize the quick little it and lo and behold one unit of cohorts is actually fleeing but I'm going around with these guys And I'm sending everything in now
To try to the general will stay behind so that we don't do any silly mistakes.
But yeah, you see here we're capturing them from behind as well
That's exactly how it goes if you tried to rebel against the just Roman rule.
So it was the Blasphemous Illyrians might sally forth to subjugate them and make them pay me tribute.
Would be rather glorious, to be honest.
Die, unbelievers!
Bye!
Bloody traitors and heretics.
That's what they are.
Moments away from victory!
There you are close victory.
Thank you very much Quite glorious indeed Now perhaps we can subjugate the Alamans as well would be a fun thing to do There we are take on warriors in order to optimize our army See if anything else happens
Makomad, so I'm gonna utilize a quicksave But I'm gonna auto-resolve it Nice Torunum?
No, not really gonna take that.
They can actually They can have Torunum if they want so that Doesn't have to be sacked all the time by barbarians Alright, cool
Political fails, okay Let's go with that give a blessing Yes Alright awesome We managed to retain that ah Got a gothic horde coming in there either way.
Thank you very much for watching glad I took that little extra battle and Yeah Glorious episode, hopefully And who am I?
The last lead in our room.
