[PREVIEW] SPECIAL EP: MOONPILLED w/ Jade Hoye on Count The Dings

Brace—misheard as "Blaze" or "Blade," a dyslexic ex-YPG fighter against ISIS and former Turkish communist—reveals his name’s origin and surveillance history while Jade Hoye, an "indigo child" named after the gemstone, introduces her Patreon-locked conspiracy podcast Back and to the Left. The duo connects with Liz Franzak and Grace Belden of True Anon, a viral Epstein-focused show dubbed their "North Star," as they navigate investigative risks while producing from Berkeley and San Francisco. Their collaboration hints at a growing underground network weaving Epstein’s shadow into a sprawling, high-stakes conspiracy web. [Automatically generated summary]

Blaze And Blade 00:03:26
and to the left, back and to the left, back and to the left.
Hello?
What's up?
Hello.
It's not, it's Bryce, isn't it?
It's like Bryce of the Name.
It's Brace.
It's okay.
Like a leg brace.
Okay.
I'm also a little bit dyslexic, so I can't remember things.
That's an unusual name.
Yeah, it's a fucked up name.
I don't really get it.
I guess it used to be a last name, but most people, when I meet them, either just call me Blaze or Blade, which actually Blade has only happened once, but it's not a big brace.
I went to rehab with two old guys.
One of them called me Blaze and one of them called me Blade.
My name is Jade, so I've gotten Blade in my name over the years.
Your name's Jade?
Jade, yeah.
Like the stone.
Yeah, all right.
Yeah, and I'm four years old.
So I had my name was Jade when it wasn't supposed to be, you know?
Yeah, I got, that's like an indigo child name.
So let me, I'm, the nature of the podcast I do, I just, I just go.
So I'm going now.
Is that cool?
I'm not in Rock.
All right.
This is Back and to the Left, my conspiracy show that I do behind the Patreon wall, because if I put it in front of, I wouldn't probably have a job, you know?
But on the line, Liz, how do you say your last name?
Should ask you this before.
Franzak.
Liz Franzak and Race Belden.
I don't even know where – how are you doing, guys?
And gals?
I'm fantastic.
Yeah, I'm great.
Nice and foggy.
Feels cozy today.
Yeah.
Wait, where are you guys?
I'm in Berkeley.
Grace is in San Francisco.
Yeah.
But you do the podcast together.
Yeah.
Yeah, we do it.
I mean, she just lives like an hour away.
The podcast is True Anon, and it's essentially just solely focused on the Jeffrey Epstein situation, correct?
Well, not solely focused.
Jeffrey Epstein is like our North Star.
Right, exactly.
But We really, we're, we call it the Jeffrey Epson expanded universe.
Yes, that's that's what it will become.
Um, so, but before we get into that, I'm just kind of curious as to your you guys, you guys have a wonderful dynamic.
I don't know if anyone's ever said that to you.
I think that the show is doing pretty well.
You mentioned that recently, and uh, it's very, very good.
So, everybody actually, one of our listeners got me to listen to it.
So, it's it's kind of in the same vein as the stuff we do.
But, Brace, I wanted to start with you.
Fighting ISIS in Syria 00:01:26
You have the most unusual history that includes having been overseas fighting for I've fought on every side of the Syrian civil war.
Uh, no, I was with uh the Kurdish YPG, the people's protection units in northern Syria.
Um, when they were, well, it's mostly done now, but we were fighting ISIS.
And I was in like a small Turkish communist group over there, too, which was it was all part of the same shit.
That's a that's incredible.
It's amazing.
Yeah, it was, it was, uh, and it was any type of enemy of the state.
Well, so I'm, I think I'm on a terror list in Turkey.
Yeah.
Um, in America, it's not technically illegal.
So, I, it's difficult.
It's flying, flying isn't always fun.
But, um, no, it's not like, I mean, and I'm assuming they just listen to my phone calls.
My phone acted really weird for a long time after I got back and when I was over there.
Uh, but you just don't say anything bad over the phone, so it's no problem.
And, and, uh, you were banned from Twitter, right?
