Time Text
We are driving up to Port Lavaca right now and we are dealing with some unbelievable stuff.
First of all, flooding everywhere.
Streetlights down everywhere.
This is going to be an interesting one for us.
In fact, I'm not sure how we're gonna get around this to be honest with you.
Maybe we can go over here and through there.
Again folks, we're probably...
Ten miles south of Port Lavaca right now.
Owen Schroyer and Harrison Smith for InfoWars.com.
We're making our way towards Houston.
Don't expect any reports from Houston.
Our plan isn't to finish in Houston.
We will be...
I think we will be reporting from Houston tomorrow, but right now we're trying to figure out how to manage this intersection.
Yeah, so it looks like we got to go around here.
We've seen a few other people on the road.
Nothing but really trucks on the road.
So we do know that people...
Are getting through this somehow, but it looks like we're gonna have to drive around this.
As you can see, this truck drove through here.
Yeah, watch out because there's also a street light in the middle of the road just dangling.
Very dangerous stuff right now that we're dealing with here.
And we're, you know, driving on the road.
We're trying to look at everything on the road that we could potentially be running over as to not get a flat.
There's a lot of thin wires that are dangling in the middle of the road.
It's tough to see until you get really close to them.
So there's just all kinds of stuff that we're dealing with right now.
You can see that this power line just snapped and is now sitting in the middle of the road.
I mean, this is just some wild stuff.
They're gonna need some serious cleanup crews here as soon as possible.
To take care of all of this debris, but mainly these dangling power lines that are really just dangling for miles.
Here's one that's just dead in the water, just sitting here floating in the water.
Hopefully we don't get electrocuted.
No, it's fine.
Most of these things have already blown up and probably are no longer receiving any electricity, but there's gonna have to be some serious cleanup.
We've seen some houses that are just completely devastated in this area as well.
Maybe you can see that house right there.
Our car is kind of getting a little foggy with the windows and everything, but just absolute devastation.
Again, probably 10 to 15 miles south of Port Lavaca and just documenting all of the devastation as we move along the coastline of Texas.
It does appear, oh my, look at that gas station.
The roof just completely torn apart.
It does appear we have some sort of a crew here.
Have you hit the windshield?
It appears that we have some sort of a crew out here.
I'm not sure exactly what they're doing.
We've got some serious flooding right here.
It looks like this church is totally flooded.
Maybe that's what they're out here dealing with, is this church.
There are some people out here addressing the issues.
Here's a First Lutheran Church just totally flooded.
So those are probably maybe some clergymen that are there trying to make sure that that church is okay and doing whatever they need to do.
Here's another dangling electric wire just dangling here.
I was told that apparently the hurricane now has been dropped down to a tropical storm.
So apparently the intensity has worn off, but the devastating effects, folks, well, we're just documenting them for you here.
I mean, over here, a neighborhood just completely devastated.
And that's pretty much been the case, folks.
You know, we've been driving down the coastline here for a couple hours, and it's just the same thing.
I mean, look at this.
This is what we're dealing with.
All we have to do.
I mean, we could be filming the entire time, and this is all we see.
I mean, just flooded roads, flooding all over the place, wires down in the middle of the road, you know, telephone wires, telephone, you know.
Whole poles being suspended, traffic lights suspended by wires, just absolute flooding everywhere.
That house is now on an island, so now they have their own private island thanks to all the flooding.
But no joke, the devastation is real, and we're just documenting it all right now as we drive down the coast of Texas.
Owen Troyer, Harrison Smith for InfoWars.com.
We're going to continue to document this for you.
So that you can see just the devastation that came from this hurricane.
So far I'm not hearing about many fatalities or casualties.
That is an absolute blessing that that is the case.
