Time Text
Owen Schroer here for Infowars.com.
We are on 35, heading out of Rockport, and we just went through some roads completely flooded, but this is unbelievable.
You're not looking at the Golf of Mexico, folks.
You're just looking at what you can get dry land on.
And a lot of the road that we're traveling on is completely flooded.
In fact, we're the only people on this road, and To be honest with you, we're really not sure what we're going to do because right now we're trying to make our way north, but we're really not sure what travel is going to be like as we continue down this road.
So, roads are continuing to flood.
This is going to be, I think, an ongoing problem.
It's only going to get worse with the rain.
Again, we're on 35 right now, heading northeast.
And a lot of the road behind us was totally flooded.
You saw the floodplains to the left and to the right.
And right now the road is clear, but hopefully we don't encounter a road that's completely flooded and we can't even drive over it.
Alright folks, so we've been seeing this on the roads for the entire time.
Just, you know, debris, woods, and mud on the street.
But this is the first time where it's just been completely covered.
And we just had to basically drive through piles of this, drive over piles of this.
Luckily, we're in a truck.
If you were not in a truck or a vehicle with four-wheel drive or high suspension, you're not getting through this.
There's no chance.
And this road is completely, completely covered.
And to me, that just tells me that this road was at once completely flooded.
That this road was completely underwater probably just a few hours ago.
you can still see the rushing water just everywhere to the side of this road.
And you can see where all the debris and sticks and the mud and everything is just reflecting on the side of the road.
But we just drove through a portion of the road that was obviously completely underwater, probably at least a foot.
And that's how all of that debris was able.
Now, it does look like here it's been cleared.
It appears that perhaps an emergency crew has actually been through here and cleared this road because we're driving through it now and we can actually see the road.
And up here it looks like a bunch of cattle.
All right, we've got a little head of cattle up here.
And again, like I said in all these videos, folks, this is common.
We've seen this every time.
That guy apparently likes the camera right there.
It doesn't matter where we go.
There's cattle everywhere.
There's debris.
There's houses down.
There's roads flooded.
I mean, it's just...
This is a common sight after Hurricane Harvey.
This is something that is obviously strange.
You know, if you drove through this in a normal condition, you'd feel a little weirded out, but this is just...
It's commonplace in what we've seen here driving along the coastline of Texas.
Again, here's a tree just downed, just taking up half of the road.
Here's another one.
So this is going to be a serious cleanup, folks.
Now, President Trump just tweeted out his appreciation for all the volunteers that have come down here.
President Trump tweeting out, thank you to all the volunteers helping with Hurricane Harvey.
This is something that President Trump has been on top of.
He was on top of this before it even got bad.
He was on top of this when it was still building in the Gulf.
So he's been on top of this since day one.
Of course, they'll probably tell you that he hasn't been on top of this and that he let everybody down.
But you know what the amazing thing is?
And I just thought of this.
If you look, and I mean, I'm not trying to make light of this or to try to make a political issue out of...
Out of death because I mean this is it's a very solemn thing but you know so far I'm yet to hear of any fatalities.
Here's a sheriff out here.
These guys are doing a great job.
Thank you.
Thank you guys.
Thank you.
These guys are doing a great job out here.
So there's some of the volunteers that President Trump is thanking the police officers out here cleaning the road.
I guess perhaps they're not volunteering but they are out here caring for their communities but as I was saying I'm yet to hear of any casualties, any fatalities from Hurricane Harvey.
Now, that doesn't mean that they haven't happened or they won't happen if the flooding continues.
But however, you compare that to not just the devastation of infrastructure and of society and communities, but also the loss of life that was experienced from Hurricane Katrina, the loss of life that was sustained from Hurricane Sandy.
And, you know, perhaps you compare that to the lack of loss of life so far with Harvey.
Again, I don't know.
I have not heard of any of those reports.
But, you know, this could be a really major story.
If Texas can get out of this hurricane with no loss of life or very, very few loss of life, folks, that is a huge feather in Trump's cap.
And I'm not sitting here saying that that's all Trump.
I'm not sitting here acting like Trump is the savior of all these people.
No.
But the point is, The way that he handled it, the way that he approached it, the way that he addressed it before the hurricane even made landfall, I think there's a distinct difference.
I think there's a distinct difference in the way that Hurricane Harvey was handled by the powers that be and the way that Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy were handled by the powers that be.
And if there is a case to be made, it will be made...
In the death toll, which you hate to...
I'm not trying to politicize it.
I'm just trying to...
I'm just sitting here really just so glad that we don't have any death to report, that we don't have casualties to report.
I think that that is just unbelievable, especially considering all of the devastation that we've recorded, the houses, the trailers flipped, the wires down, all of the flooding.
Truly incredible.
So this is something that we're going to be keeping our eye on.
If we can minimize the loss of life from Hurricane Harvey, that is going to be truly, truly God's work being done in America.
And it just goes to show you that, you know, maybe America's not dead yet.
Maybe America's not as brainwashed and dilapidated as we thought they were able to make it through this hurricane.
So we're going to continue to document our ride along the coast.
We're almost hitting birds.
It's really a strange thing.
This is Owen Troyer, Harrison Smith from Infowars.com.
We've documented everything along the Texas coastline.
