Special Reports & Tweets - Streetlight Hangs In The Road After Hurricane Harvey Aired: 2017-08-26 Duration: 04:41 === Unbelievable Flooding Ahead (04:32) === [00:00:01] We are driving up to Port Lavaca right now and we are dealing with some unbelievable stuff. [00:00:08] First of all, flooding everywhere. [00:00:11] Streetlights down everywhere. [00:00:14] This is going to be an interesting one for us. [00:00:17] In fact, I'm not sure how we're gonna get around this to be honest with you. [00:00:23] Maybe we can go over here and through there. [00:00:26] Again folks, we're probably... [00:00:29] Ten miles south of Port Lavaca right now. [00:00:32] Owen Schroyer and Harrison Smith for InfoWars.com. [00:00:35] We're making our way towards Houston. [00:00:39] Don't expect any reports from Houston. [00:00:41] Our plan isn't to finish in Houston. [00:00:42] We will be... [00:00:43] I think we will be reporting from Houston tomorrow, but right now we're trying to figure out how to manage this intersection. [00:00:50] Yeah, so it looks like we got to go around here. [00:00:52] We've seen a few other people on the road. [00:00:54] Nothing but really trucks on the road. [00:00:56] So we do know that people... [00:00:58] Are getting through this somehow, but it looks like we're gonna have to drive around this. [00:01:03] As you can see, this truck drove through here. [00:01:07] Yeah, watch out because there's also a street light in the middle of the road just dangling. [00:01:11] Very dangerous stuff right now that we're dealing with here. [00:01:16] And we're, you know, driving on the road. [00:01:18] We're trying to look at everything on the road that we could potentially be running over as to not get a flat. [00:01:23] There's a lot of thin wires that are dangling in the middle of the road. [00:01:28] It's tough to see until you get really close to them. [00:01:31] So there's just all kinds of stuff that we're dealing with right now. [00:01:34] You can see that this power line just snapped and is now sitting in the middle of the road. [00:01:41] I mean, this is just some wild stuff. [00:01:43] They're gonna need some serious cleanup crews here as soon as possible. [00:01:49] To take care of all of this debris, but mainly these dangling power lines that are really just dangling for miles. [00:01:55] Here's one that's just dead in the water, just sitting here floating in the water. [00:01:59] Hopefully we don't get electrocuted. [00:02:02] No, it's fine. [00:02:03] Most of these things have already blown up and probably are no longer receiving any electricity, but there's gonna have to be some serious cleanup. [00:02:10] We've seen some houses that are just completely devastated in this area as well. [00:02:15] Maybe you can see that house right there. [00:02:17] Our car is kind of getting a little foggy with the windows and everything, but just absolute devastation. [00:02:23] Again, probably 10 to 15 miles south of Port Lavaca and just documenting all of the devastation as we move along the coastline of Texas. [00:02:33] It does appear, oh my, look at that gas station. [00:02:37] The roof just completely torn apart. [00:02:40] It does appear we have some sort of a crew here. [00:02:43] Have you hit the windshield? [00:02:44] It appears that we have some sort of a crew out here. [00:02:47] I'm not sure exactly what they're doing. [00:02:49] We've got some serious flooding right here. [00:02:53] It looks like this church is totally flooded. [00:02:55] Maybe that's what they're out here dealing with, is this church. [00:03:01] There are some people out here addressing the issues. [00:03:04] Here's a First Lutheran Church just totally flooded. [00:03:06] So those are probably maybe some clergymen that are there trying to make sure that that church is okay and doing whatever they need to do. [00:03:15] Here's another dangling electric wire just dangling here. [00:03:20] I was told that apparently the hurricane now has been dropped down to a tropical storm. [00:03:26] So apparently the intensity has worn off, but the devastating effects, folks, well, we're just documenting them for you here. [00:03:35] I mean, over here, a neighborhood just completely devastated. [00:03:39] And that's pretty much been the case, folks. [00:03:41] You know, we've been driving down the coastline here for a couple hours, and it's just the same thing. [00:03:46] I mean, look at this. [00:03:46] This is what we're dealing with. [00:03:48] All we have to do. [00:03:49] I mean, we could be filming the entire time, and this is all we see. [00:03:52] I mean, just flooded roads, flooding all over the place, wires down in the middle of the road, you know, telephone wires, telephone, you know. [00:04:02] Whole poles being suspended, traffic lights suspended by wires, just absolute flooding everywhere. [00:04:09] That house is now on an island, so now they have their own private island thanks to all the flooding. [00:04:13] But no joke, the devastation is real, and we're just documenting it all right now as we drive down the coast of Texas. === No Significant Casualties Reported (00:22) === [00:04:24] Owen Troyer, Harrison Smith for InfoWars.com. [00:04:26] We're going to continue to document this for you. [00:04:29] So that you can see just the devastation that came from this hurricane. [00:04:33] So far I'm not hearing about many fatalities or casualties. [00:04:37] That is an absolute blessing that that is the case.
